[0003] When the size of the windshield is increased, the wind pressure acting on the windshield is increased, and therefore it is necessary to increase the thickness of the windshield itself or to increase the supporting stiffness of the windshield to ensure the rigidity of the windshield.
[0004] On the other hand, the windshield is generally made from a transparent molded resin; however, as demolding becomes more difficult with increasing size, the mold can be complex to ensure removability. That is to say, as the size of the windshield increases, the supporting structure or its shape tends to be more complex.
[0005] The present disclosure provides a motorcycle that is able to prevent the shape of a windshield from becoming complicated while ensuring the supporting rigidity of the windshield, even if the windshield is large.
[0006] According to an illustrative aspect of the present disclosure, a motorcycle comprises: a central screen or shield located in the center of a front part of a vehicle body in a vehicle width direction, and having an outer section or portion of the central shield provided on both outer lateral parts in the vehicle width direction; and a pair of left and right lateral shields, each located on both outer sides in the vehicle width direction with respect to the central shield, each having an inner portion of the lateral shield on an inner end portion in the vehicle width direction. The outer portion of the central shield and the inner portion of the lateral shield overlap at least partially in a vehicle front view.
[0007] According to the motorcycle of the present disclosure, since the windshield can be implemented by dividing it into three shielding components—comprising the central shield and the pair of left and right side shields—even if the size of the windshield is increased, an increase in the size of each shielding component is prevented, thus ensuring easy removal of the mold. In the following description, reference is made to a front-back direction, a left-right direction and an up-down direction, as seen by a rider riding on the motorcycle 1, as the front-rear direction, left-right direction and up-down direction respectively of the motorcycle 1 and each component.
