Description

TECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present disclosure relates to an electronic control unit including a control board in which an electronic control circuit has a plurality of electronic parts mounted and which has a plate shape, and a protective case for protecting the control board. TECHNICAL BACKGROUND

[0002] Conventionally, as a protective case for protecting a control board from dust and dirt from outside and raindrops, there has generally been used a case of the type in which support rails are provided on the left and right peripheral walls of a case for accommodating the control board, the control board is inserted into the case along the support rails, and the case is fixed with a cover (see, for example, JP 2000 - 244 152 A).

[0003] Further, a structure has been considered in which, instead of the support rail, a plurality of protruding portions (ribs) are provided on the peripheral wall of a casing alternately in a depth direction of the casing at a pitch corresponding to a desired thickness of the upper and lower surfaces of the control board, whereby, even when the control board is formed in a thickness slightly larger than a specified pitch of the protruding portion, the control board is bent and inserted along the ribs, thereby being securely fixed in the casing (see, for example, JP 2000 - 244 153 A).

[0004] US 7 893 958 B1, which is considered to be the closest, discloses an electronic control unit according to the preambles of claims 1 and 6.

[0005] In addition, in recent years, an electronic control unit called an eCall unit has been developed, for example, which automatically transmits information related to the deployment of an airbag when a vehicle crash occurs, or the measurement information of a crash sensor, a GPS receiver, and the like, to a specified center. Such electronic control units are designed to have a backup battery (BUB) that can always supply electrical power to the electronic control circuit, enabling it to respond even in an emergency, so that the supply of electrical power from a vehicle-mounted battery is stopped.

[0006] For this reason, in this type of electronic control device, not only the control board but also the BUB requires protection, so it is considered that it is desirable that not only the control board but also the BUB (more precisely a battery pack in which the BUB is housed) can be protected by a protective housing.

[0007] However, the conventional protective casing uses a structure in which the control board is fixed to the casing by a support rail (or rib). Thus, as shown in Fig. As shown in Fig. 11A, when a structure is used in which a control board 102 is fixed only by a support rail (or rib) of support rails (ribs) on the left and right peripheral walls of a casing 101 to accommodate the control board 102 and the battery pack 103 side by side in the casing 101, the control board 102 is not stably supported in the casing 101. Thus, when the control board 102 is strongly swung due to vibration or impact in a vehicle, there is a possibility that the electronic control circuit may be erroneously operated or damaged.

[0008] Furthermore, as stated in Fig. 11B, when a battery case for accommodating a battery pack 203 is provided integrally with an upper portion of a casing 201, a protective casing in the shape of a letter L as a whole. Thus, in the case where the protective casing is mounted in a vehicle, with respect to a balance in arrangement between the protective casing and the other devices and elements, it is easy for a vacant space in an upper portion of the casing 201 to become a dead space. For this reason, when an electronic control unit is mounted in a limited space in the vehicle, there is a fear that the entire arrangement will be complicated.

[0009] In addition, if a battery case is mounted separately from the chassis and the chassis and battery case are arranged side by side, there is a concern that the number of parts will increase, thereby increasing the manufacturing costs and the handling or management costs. In contrast, as stated in Fig. 11(c), in the case where a partition wall portion 304 for separating a space in which a control board 302 is arranged and a space in which a battery pack 303 is arranged is provided in a casing 301, and also a wall portion 304 has a support rail to thereby maintain the support strength of the control board 302, when a protective casing is manufactured by the use of a mold, the wall portion 304 has a gradient for removing the mold, and thus the size of the protective casing increases in the width direction, thereby causing a fear that the size of the electronic control unit (device) increases.

[0010] For the purpose of eliminating this fear, the present applicant has invented a unit which has a frame (fixing frame) in which a control board and a battery pack are fixed in a state where they are arranged side by side, and which has a mechanism for holding the fixing frame to an inner rear side of the case, and which fixes the fixing frame through an opening portion of the case to thereby support the fixing frame from both sides opposite to each other in the case.

[0011] However, as stated in Fig. 12, in a construction in which a layered portion for layering a portion (protruding portion) protruding on a rear inner side of a casing 401 is provided, for example, in a case where an external force is applied to the layered portion (tip portion of the fixing frame) toward a bottom surface of the casing 401 side, e.g., due to vibration of a vehicle, a fixing frame 403 is bent in the direction of the bottom surface of the casing 401, thereby assuming that the control board 402 mounted on the layered portion is also bent in the same direction. In other words, a problem is caused that the control board 402 is bent, thereby increasing the possibility of causing stress on the surface of the control board 402 (see FIG. Fig. 12). SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0012] The present disclosure addresses these issues. Therefore, an object of the present disclosure is to appropriately prevent a control board from being bent in an electronic control unit and a protective case, while ensuring the support strength of the control board in a case, preventing a layout in which adjustment parts are complicated, and contributing to device miniaturization.

[0013] To achieve the object of the present disclosure, an electronic control unit in one aspect of the present disclosure has the features listed in claim 1. Advantageous further developments are the subject of the subclaims. According to a second aspect, the invention has the features listed in claim 6 to achieve the object.

[0014] In this construction, first, in the case where the fixing frame is housed in the case in the state where the control board and the battery pack are fixed to the juxtaposition and mounting part, the back side holding part of the case is configured to hold the fixing frame, and the opening portion of the case is configured to hold the fixing frame, whereby the fixing frame can be supported by both sides opposite to each other in the case, and thus the supporting strength of the control board in the case can be maintained.

[0015] Next, the fixing frame has the control board and the battery pack attached thereto adjacent to each other in a state where they are arranged side by side. Thus, for example, the housing can be formed in a rectangular shape, eliminating the need to provide a dead space around the housing. Furthermore, this can also eliminate the need to provide a partition wall for separating a space where the control board is arranged and a space where the battery pack is arranged in the housing.

[0016] In the present disclosure, based on the construction like this, the tip portion of the juxtaposition and mounting part of the fixing frame is formed in the curved shape, whereby the tip portion is biased by the lower surface of the protruding portion in the rear holding portion of the casing and by the bottom surface of the casing. Thus, when the rear of the casing is made to hold the tip portion of the juxtaposition and mounting part of the fixing frame, it is easy to design the tip portion in such a manner that a part size error of the tip portion and the protruding portion in the rear holding portion of the casing is absorbed. In this way, it is possible for the rear portion of the casing to hold the tip portion of the juxtaposition and mounting portion of the fixing frame.

[0017] The tip portion of the juxtaposition and mounting portion of the fixing frame (the tip portion in the direction of insertion of the juxtaposition and mounting portion into the housing) includes a tip protrusion portion spanned from its upper side by the lower surface of the protrusion portion, and a bottom surface portion spanned from its lower side by the bottom surface of the housing. Even if an external force is applied to the tip protrusion portion of the fixing frame on the bottom surface side of the housing, a reaction force that the bottom surface portion of the fixing frame receives from the bottom surface of the housing may hinder bending of the fixing frame.

[0018] Thus, according to the present disclosure, in the electronic control unit that ensures the support strength of the control board in the housing and prevents a layout with respect to a device from becoming complicated and can contribute to the miniaturization of the device, it is possible to appropriately prevent the fixing frame from bending and thus appropriately prevent the control board fixed to the fixing frame from being bent.

[0019] In the present disclosure, the juxtaposition and mounting part of the fixing frame may include a flange that clamps the protruding portion of the rear side holding portion of the casing together with the tip protruding portion, with the control board mounted on the flange. In this case, even when the external force is applied to the flange on the bottom surface side of the casing, by a reaction force that the bottom surface portion of the fixing frame receives from the bottom surface of the casing, it is possible to prevent the fixing frame from being bent. Thus, the tip protruding portion of the fixing frame sandwiches the protruding portion in the rear side holding portion of the casing, thus enabling strong holding of the fixing frame in the casing and appropriately preventing the control board from being bent.

[0020] In the present disclosure, the juxtaposition and mounting part of the fixing frame may include a bottom surface portion formed by drawing a main body of the fixing frame. In this case, the tip portion of the juxtaposition and mounting portion of the fixing frame may be provided with a portion biased from below by the bottom surface of the housing without adding and connecting a new member, thus reducing the weight of the fixing frame and facilitating the manufacturing of the fixing frame.

[0021] In the present disclosure, a tip portion of the protruding portion of the backside holding portion of the housing may have a curved surface portion to guide the tip protruding portion of the fixing frame toward the inner backside of the housing. In this case, even if a distance (size) from an upper surface of the tip protruding portion of the fixing frame to a lower surface of the bottom surface portion is larger than a distance (size) from a lower surface of the protruding portion of the backside holding portion of the housing to a bottom surface of the housing, for example, by as much as an order of magnitude as a part size error, the tip protruding portion of the fixing frame can be easily inserted toward the inner backside of the housing. Thus, the tip portion of the fixing frame can be more strongly biased by the backside holding portion of the housing. In this way, the tip portion of the fixing frame can be properly held by the rear holding portion of the housing.

[0022] Furthermore, in such a configuration, the rear holding portion of the housing may include a guide portion having a slope for gradually pushing up the bottom surface portion of the fixing frame as the tip protruding portion of the fixing frame is guided toward the inner rear of the housing by the tip portion of the protruding portion. In this way, the tip portion of the fixing frame can be more strongly biased by the rear holding portion of the housing, whereby the tip portion of the fixing frame can be held by the rear holding portion of the housing in a more conformal manner.

[0023] In this regard, according to the present disclosure, the protective case comprising the housing, battery holder, and fixing frame described above can be marketed. In this case, the protective case forms the electronic control unit with the control board and the battery pack. Thus, it is possible to achieve the same effect as the one described above in the protective case. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

EMBODIMENTS FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION

[0025] An electronic control unit as an embodiment will be described below with reference to the drawings. Here, the electronic control unit of the present embodiment is constructed as an eCall unit mounted in a vehicle instrument panel and has a function of automatically transmitting information related to the operation of an airbag when a vehicle accident occurs, and the measurement information of a crash sensor, a GPC or GPS receiver, or the like, to a specified center by radio transmission.Furthermore, the electronic control unit of the present embodiment is installed along other devices and elements in the vehicle's dashboard, and in particular, is installed under the air conditioning duct, and thus requires trouble-free operation even when the electronic control unit receives water drops leaking from the duct. Furthermore, the law requires that the electronic control unit not cause problems in the operation of the unit even when water drops fall onto the unit.

[0026] A general structure of an electronic control unit 1 of the present embodiment will be described. As shown in Fig. 1, the electronic control unit is composed of: a control board 2 having a plate shape, a battery pack 3 having a long cylindrical shape, and a protective case 10 that protects the control board 2 and the battery pack 3 from dirt and dust from the outside, water drops (especially water drops leaking from the pipe of the air conditioner), and the like.

[0027] The control board 2 is a board for constructing an electronic control circuit (not shown in the drawing) mounted with or on which a variety of electronic parts are mounted, and has a plurality of connectors 4 to 6 connected to the electronic control circuit. In this regard, the electronic control circuit of the present embodiment has a microcomputer (not shown in the drawing) for executing processing for implementing a function as an eCell unit. The microcomputer transmits radio signals representing various types of information generated based on various types of signals input via at least one of the connectors 4 to 6 by radio communication to an external center via at least one of the connectors 4 to 6.

[0028] In the present embodiment, a comparatively large rectangular connector 4 is a main connector and is connected to, for example, a device (airbag device) for inflating an airbag, a crash sensor, or the like, and is used to obtain information related to the operation of the airbag (for example, whether the airbag inflates or not) and the measurement information of the crash sensor (for example, an acceleration to show an impact applied to the vehicle).Further, of the comparatively small cylindrical connectors 5, 6, the connector 5 is connected to, for example, the GPS receiver and is used to acquire the measurement information of the GPS receiver (for example, the current position of the vehicle), and the connector 6 is connected to a device (radio communication device) for establishing radio communication with the outside center via a base station of a mobile telephone network and is used to transmit various kinds of information acquired via the connectors 4, 5 to the outside center through the radio communication.

[0029] The battery pack 3 is a part that houses a backup battery (BUB) that can always supply electric power to the electric control circuit on the control board 2, and is shaped like a cylinder. Here, the BUB (not shown in the drawing) may be a battery that supplies electric power to the electric control circuit under any circumstances, or it may be a battery that is supplied with electric power and charged by a vehicle-mounted battery when an internal combustion engine of the vehicle is operating, and that can continuously supply electric power to the electric control circuit for a specified time from when the vehicle's internal combustion engine is stopped or from when the supply of electric power from the vehicle-mounted battery is stopped. In this regard, the BUB (not shown in the drawing) is a battery which is assumed to be enclosed by the electronic control unit 1 in such a way that it is always able to supply the electrical control circuit with electrical energy, even in the emergency, for example when the supply of electrical power from the battery mounted in the vehicle is stopped (in other words, for the purpose of transmitting various types of information acquired via the connectors 3, 4 to the outside center by radio communication).

[0030] The protective case 10 is composed of: a housing 11 for accommodating the control board 2 and the battery pack 3, a battery holding device 12 for holding the main body of the battery pack 3 (see Fig. 3A and Fig. 3B), a fixing frame 13 to which the control board 2 and the battery holding device 12 are fixed, and a battery fixing device 14 which is attached to an upper portion of the battery pack 3 (see Fig. 5A to 5C, Fig. 8A and Fig. 8B).

[0031] The main body of the battery pack 3 is held by the battery holding device 12 (see Fig. 3A and Fig. 3B), and the fixing frame 13 is fixed to the casing 11 with screws or the like in the state where the battery holding device 12 (and the battery fixing device 14) and the control board 2 are held by the fixing frame 13, whereby the control board 2 and the battery holding device 12 are housed in the protective casing 10 in the state where waterproof holding takes place.

[0032] The construction of parts of the protective case 10 will be described. The case 11 is manufactured by pressing or the like and is formed in a box shape with an opening portion 11a into which a juxtaposition and mounting portion 15 (described later) of the fixing frame 13 is inserted. The opening portion 11a has screw holes formed at its four corners, to which a sealing front portion 16 (described later) of the fixing frame 13 is connected with screws or the like.

[0033] The fixing frame 13 is manufactured by a metal casting process such as die casting and is, as shown in Fig. 2A to 2C, is composed of the juxtaposition and mounting section 15 and the sealing front section 16. In the juxtaposition and mounting section 15, a plate surface of the control board 2 and the battery pack 3 (to be precise, a bottom surface of the battery holder 12 (see Fig. 3A and Fig. 3B)) in the state that they are adjacent at a boundary along a longitudinal direction of the battery pack 3. The sealing front portion 16 closes the opening portion 11a in the state in which the juxtaposition and mounting portion 15 is housed in the case 11 (see Fig. 1) and is fixed to the housing 11 in the state of closing the opening portion 11a.

[0034] In the juxtaposition and assembly section 15, as shown in Fig. 2A, a bottom surface of the main body of the fixing frame 13 includes a plurality of bottom surface protruding portions 15a formed by stamping a rear surface by drawing, and a plurality of bottom surface opening portions 15b, and a bottom surface portion 15c different from the bottom surface protruding portions 15a, the bottom surface opening portion 15b being configured to abut against an inner bottom surface of the casing 11.

[0035] Furthermore, as stated in Fig. 2A, in the juxtaposition and mounting section 15 to fix a part of the control board 2 and the battery holding device 12 (see Fig. 3A and Fig. 3B) Some of the bottom surface opening portions 15b have a plurality of erection surface portions 15e formed at edge portions thereof, each of these erection surface portions 15 being erected upward and having the plate surface of the control board 2 placed thereon. Each erection surface portion 15e is erected at a height to have a gap between the bottom surface of the control board 2 and a protruding portion 15d (upper surface) of the juxtaposing and mounting portion 15, and has a screw hole formed therein. The screw hole is used to connect the control board 2 to the erection surface portion 15e with a screw or the like.

[0036] Furthermore, as stated in Fig. 2A, in the juxtaposition and mounting portion 15 for positioning the control board 2, an end portion positioned on a side opposite to an area in which the battery pack 3 (to be precise, the bottom surface of the battery holding device 12 (see Fig. 3A and Fig. 3B)) is mounted (hereinafter referred to as “battery mounting portion”), a first positioning portion 15f formed thereon, wherein the first positioning portion 15f is erected obliquely upward and is fitted into a first clamping portion 2a (see Fig. 2B), which was previously formed on the edge of the control board 2. The first positioning section 15f is, as shown in Fig. 2C, erected at an angle at which the screw holes of the erection surface portions 15e match the screw holes of the control board 2. Further, in the juxtaposition and mounting part 15, the bottom surface opening portion 15b adjacent to the battery mounting area has a second positioning portion 15g erected thereon, the second positioning portion 15g having a second clamping portion 2b (see Fig. 2B) formed on a side opposite to an edge in which the first clamping portion 2a is positioned in the control board 2.

[0037] Furthermore, as stated in Fig. 2A, in the juxtaposition and mounting part 15 to position the battery holding device 12 (see Fig. 3A and Fig. 3B), an end portion positioned on a side opposite to a region in which the control board 2 is mounted (hereinafter referred to as "board mounting region") has a connecting portion 15h formed thereon, the connecting portion 15h being erected along the shape of the battery holder and connected to a side surface of the battery holder 12.

[0038] More precisely, as it is in Fig. 3A, the battery holder 12 is bent in such a manner that a surface on the side against which the connecting portion 15h of the juxtaposing and mounting member 15 abuts is formed into a shape having a plurality of surfaces. Further, among the plurality of surfaces against which the connecting portion 15h of the juxtaposing and mounting portion 15 abuts, a surface vertical to the bottom surface 2 has two longitudinally divided portions 12a and an erecting portion 12b formed thereon, the longitudinally divided portions 12a projecting outward, and the erecting portion 12b being erected obliquely upward. The connecting portion 15h of the juxtaposing and mounting portion 15 has two slits 15i and one window portion 15j formed therein, the slits 15i having the longitudinally divided portions 12a of the battery holder 12 fitted therein, and the window portion 15j having the erection portion 12b of the battery holder 12 fitted therein. In other words, as shown in FIG. Fig. 3B, when the battery holder 12 is pressed into the juxtaposition and mounting portion 15 in such a manner that the longitudinally divided portions 12a of the battery holder 12 are fitted into the slots 15i of the juxtaposition and mounting portion 15, the erection portion 12b of the battery holder 12 engages with the window portion 15j of the juxtaposition and mounting portion 15, thereby locking the battery holder 12 in such a manner that it is not moved away from the juxtaposition and mounting portion 15 (fixing frame 13).In this regard, the longitudinally divided portions 12a of the battery holder 12 can be bent along the side surface of the connecting portion 15h of the juxtaposing and mounting portion 15 in the state where the erecting portion 12b of the battery holder 12 is engaged with the window portion 15j of the juxtaposing and mounting portion 15.

[0039] Furthermore, as stated in Fig. 2A, an edge portion of the bottom surface opening portion 15b positioned along the boundary between the board mounting area and the battery mounting area in the juxtaposing and mounting section 15, the erection surface portions 15e and a plurality of (two in the present embodiment) erection portions 15k formed thereon, the erection surface portions 15e supporting a part of the control board 2 and the battery holder, the erection portions 15k being in contact with the side surface (surface A) of the battery holder 12.

[0040] More precisely, as it is in Fig. 4A, the battery holding device 12 has a wire mounting portion 12c in which a wire 3a (see Fig. 5A to 5C) for connecting the electronic control circuit on the control board 2 (see Fig. 2A to 2C) with the BUB in the battery pack 3 (see Fig. 3A and Fig. 3B). The wire mounting portion 12c is bent to have a parallel surface 12d, a preventing portion 12e, and mounting surfaces 12f. The parallel surface 12d protrudes toward a board mounting area side of the juxtaposing and mounting portion 15. The preventing portion 12e is erected at an edge of the parallel surface 12d to prevent the wire 3a from moving toward the board mounting area side. The mounting surfaces 12f extend obliquely downward from both ends of the parallel surface 12d and are mounted on the erecting surface portions 15e of the juxtaposing and mounting portion 15. The erection surface portions 15e of the juxtaposition and mounting portion 15 are formed at positions to support the mounting surfaces 12f of the wire mounting portion 12c from below to hold the parallel surface 12d of the wire mounting portion 12c above the board mounting area in the juxtaposition and mounting portion 15.Further, the erection portions 15k of the juxtaposition and mounting portion 15 are formed at positions abutting against the side surface (surface A) of the battery holder 12 in such a manner that the battery holder 12 does not move to the board mounting area side in the juxtaposition and mounting portion 15. In short, as shown in FIG. Fig. As shown in Fig. 5B, when the battery holder 12 is connected to the connecting portion 15h of the juxtaposing and mounting portion 15, the side surface (surface A) of the battery holder 12 abuts against the erection portions 15k of the juxtaposing and mounting portion 15, and the mounting surfaces 12f of the battery holder 12 are mounted to the erection surface portions 15e of the juxtaposing and mounting portion 15, thereby holding the wire mounting portion 12c above the board mounting area of the juxtaposing and mounting portion 15. In this regard, the mounting surfaces 12f of the battery holder 12 and the erection surface portions 15e of the juxtaposing and mounting portion 15 are fixed to each other with screws or the like in the state that the control board 2 is sandwiched between them (see Fig. 3A and Fig. 3B).

[0041] Here, at the wire mounting portion 12c of the battery holding device 12, as shown in Fig. 5A, one end of the wire 3a is mounted in the state that it is connected to the electronic control circuit on the control board 2, and has, as shown in Fig. 5B, the other end is connected to a connecting portion of the battery pack 3 which can be removed from the battery holding device 12, whereby the wire 3a can be electrically conducted to the BUB in the battery pack 3. In other words, in the wire mounting portion 12c of the battery holding device 12, the wire 3a can be connected to the battery pack 3 which is removed from the battery holding device 12, and is located, as shown in Fig. 5C, a safe space is provided in which the wire 3a connected to the BUB in the battery pack 3 is accommodated in the state where the battery pack 3 is accommodated in the battery holder 12.

[0042] Next, the sealing front portion 16 of the fixing frame 13 is formed integrally with the juxtaposing and assembling portion 15 in such a manner that the fixing frame 13 as a whole is shaped like a letter L. The sealing front portion 16 has, as shown in Fig. 2A to 2C, fitting portions 16a, 16b, 16c into which connectors 4 to 6 on the control board 2 are fitted from the side of the juxtaposing and mounting portion 15 (reverse surface side of the sealing front portion 16), and an opening portion 16d formed in such a manner that the battery pack 3 is inserted into the battery holder 12.

[0043] Here, in the sealing front portion 16 as described above, screw holes are formed which are arranged in such a manner as to match the screw holes formed at four corners of the opening portion 11a of the housing 11 in the state in which the battery holding device 12 (and the battery fixing device 14) and the control board 2 are fixed to the juxtaposition and mounting portion 15 and the juxtaposition and mounting portion 15 is housed in the housing 11. As shown in Fig. 1, when the sealing front portion 16 is screwed in the state where the screw holes match the screw holes in the four corners of the opening portion 11a of the housing 11, the sealing front portion is fixed to the opening 11a of the housing 11.

[0044] Further, the opening portion 16d of the sealing front portion 16 is formed in such a manner that, when the battery pack 3 is inserted into the battery holder, a cover portion 33 of the battery pack 3 is fitted from a counterpart or front side of the sealing front portion 16.

[0045] More precisely, as it is in Fig. 6A, the battery holding device 12 has a bottom surface along the longitudinal direction of the battery pack 3. On the other hand, when the battery fixing device 14 is fitted onto the cover portion 33 of the battery pack 3, the battery fixing device 14 is fixed to the cover portion 33 of the battery pack 3. Here, as shown in Fig. 6B, when the main body of the battery pack 3 is fitted into a battery holder 12 and is pressed to the inner rear side of the battery holder 12, as shown in Fig. 6C, a side peripheral surface 14a connected to the cover portion 33 of the battery pack 3 is fitted into the opening portion 16d of the sealing front portion 16.

[0046] More precisely, as it is in Fig. As shown in Fig. 7A, the battery pack 3 is composed of the side peripheral surface 14a connected to the cover portion 33 and a fixing frame portion 14b for internally fixing the battery fixing device 14. On the other hand, the battery fixing device 14 is composed of: a pivot end supported by the fixing frame portion 14b of the battery pack 3, a revolving door portion 14c rotating around the pivot end, and a stopper 14d provided on the revolving door portion 14c and held by the fixing frame portion 14b of the battery pack 3.

[0047] The fixing frame section 14b of the battery pack 3 has, as shown in Fig. 7B, has its inner peripheral wall surface worked in a shape to be fitted into the main body of the battery pack 3, and has its outer peripheral wall surface worked in a shape in which the opening portion 16d of the sealing front portion 16 is fitted into the side peripheral surface 14a.

[0048] The revolving door section 14c of the battery fixing device 14 is, as shown in Fig. 8A and Fig. 8B, is supported at upper and lower positions shifted from the center thereof to one end in the fixing frame portion 14b of the battery pack 3. When a user opens a lever 14e attached to a side opposite the pin end, the user can pull out the battery pack 3 with the fixing frame portion 14b from the battery holder 12.

[0049] Furthermore, when the user closes the lever 14e, the revolving door portion 14c of the battery fixing device 14 is fixed to the opening portion 16d of the sealing front portion 16. More specifically, as shown in Fig. 7A and Fig. 7B, the fixing frame portion 14b of the battery pack 3 has a fitting opening 14f formed therein, the fitting opening 14f having the stopper 14d on the rear surface side of the opening portion 16d of the sealing front portion 16 fitted therein, and when the stopper 14d of the battery fixing means 14, which protrudes in such a manner as to be able to protrude toward the fitting opening 14f at the upper and lower positions corresponding to the lever 14e in the revolving door portion 14c of the battery fixing means 14, is fitted into the fitting opening 14f, the revolving door portion 14c of the battery fixing means 14 and the fixing frame portion 14f of the battery pack 3 are coupled to each other.

[0050] Furthermore, the battery fixing device 14 has a locking mechanism 14g for coupling the fixing frame portion 14b of the battery pack 3 with the sealing front portion 16 in the state in which the side peripheral surface 14a of the fixing frame portion 14b of the battery pack 3 is fitted into the opening portion 16d of the sealing front portion 16. More specifically, as shown in the Fig. 5A to 5C, the locking mechanism 14g is provided on the upper surface of the fixing frame portion 14b (side peripheral surface 14a) of the battery pack 3 and is composed of: a rotary member 14h that rotates around the pin end of the fixing frame portion 14b of the battery pack 3 above the revolving door portion 14c, a claw portion 14i provided at a tip portion of the rotary member 14h, and a stepped portion 14j provided at a position corresponding to the claw portion 14i on the upper surface of the fixing frame portion 14b (side peripheral surface 14a) of the battery pack 3.

[0051] The connecting mechanism 14g has a protruding portion at the tip of the claw portion 14i, and when the user rotates the rotating portion 14h toward the opening portion 16 of the sealing front portion 16 in the state where the side peripheral surface 14a of the fixing frame portion 14b of the battery pack 3 is fitted into the opening portion 16d of the sealing front portion 16, the claw portion 14i of the rotating member 14h ascends the stepped portion 14j of the fixing frame portion 14b of the battery pack 3. At this time, the protruding portion of the claw portion 14i is held by the rear surface of the opening portion 16d of the sealing front portion 16, thereby coupling the fixing frame portion 14b and the sealing front portion 16 to each other.

[0052] The construction of the rear holding portion 11b of the housing 11 and the tip portion 23 of the fixing frame 13 (juxtaposition and mounting portion 15) will be described. The housing 11 is, as shown in Fig. 9A is constructed to have one or a plurality of (three in the present embodiment) back holding portions 11b for holding the tip portion 23 of the juxtaposing and mounting portion 15 of the fixing frame 13 on the inner back of the casing 11 opposite to the opening portion 11a thereof.

[0053] The back holding section 11b is, as shown in Fig. 10A is formed at a position separated by a distance (a size) adapted to the shape of the tip protruding portion 15d of the fixing frame 13, which will be described later, from an inner bottom surface of the casing 11 in a surface on the inner back (inner back surface) of the casing 11, and is composed of a protruding portion 11c protruding almost parallel to the inner bottom surface of the casing 11 toward the opening portion of the casing 11, and a guide portion 11d for guiding the tip protruding portion 14d of the fixing frame 13, which will be described later, to a portion abutting against the inner back surface of the casing 11 in the protruding portion 11c.

[0054] On the other hand, as it is in Fig. 9A, in the juxtaposition and mounting portion 15 of the fixing frame 13, the tip portion 23 on the side where the juxtaposition and mounting portion 15 is inserted into the casing 11 is formed in a curved shape in such a manner that the tip portion 23 is biased from above by the lower surface of the protruding portion 11c and is biased from below by the inner bottom surface of the casing 11 at the inner rear side of the casing 11.

[0055] More specifically, the tip portion 23 of the fixing frame 13 is composed of: a tip protruding portion 15d biased from above by the lower surface of the protruding portion 11c, a bottom surface portion 15c biased from below by the inner bottom surface of the casing 11, and a flange 23a for sandwiching the protruding portion 11c together with the tip protruding portion 15d in the state in which the control board 2 is mounted.

[0056] Of these sections, the bottom surface section 15c of the fixing frame 13, as shown using Fig. 2A, a portion other than the plurality of bottom surface protruding portions 15a formed by stamping the rear surface by drawing and the plurality of bottom surface opening portions 15b is the bottom surface of the main portion of the fixing frame 13, and is configured to abut against the inner bottom surface of the housing.

[0057] The top protrusion section 15d is, as it is in Fig. 2A, in the juxtaposition and mounting portion 15 of the fixing frame 13, the sealing surface portion 15c is formed by one or a plurality of times (three in the present embodiment) in an end portion positioned on the side opposite to the sealing front portion 16, and is configured to have a flat surface portion formed at a higher position than the bottom surface portion 15c of the fixing frame 13 and to have a tip portion of the flat surface portion bent obliquely downward.

[0058] The flange 23a is, like the plurality of erection surface portions 15e described above, a portion to which the plate surface of the control board 2 is mounted to fix the control board 2, and is, as shown in the Fig. 9A, erected from a position on a side closer to the sealing front portion 16 than the bottom surface portion 15c, and bent to abut with an upper surface of the projecting portion 11c of the housing 11 in the tip portion 23 of the main body of the fixing frame 13.

[0059] In the tip portion 23 of the fixing frame 13, a distance (a size) between the lower surface of the flange 23a and the upper surface (flat surface portion) of the tip protruding portion 15d is designed to be equal to or slightly smaller than the thickness of the protruding portion 11c of the housing 11. Thus, in the tip portion 23 of the main body of the fixing frame 13, the protruding portion 11c of the housing 11 can be sandwiched by the lower surface of the flange 23a and the upper surface (flat surface portion) of the tip protruding portion 15d.

[0060] Furthermore, in the tip portion 23 of the fixing frame 13, a distance (a size) between the upper surface (flat surface portion) of the tip protruding portion 15d and the lower surface of the bottom surface portion 15c is set to a size equal to or slightly larger than a distance (a size) between the lower surface of the protruding portion 11c of the housing 11 and an inner bottom surface of the housing 11 (more precisely, the upper surface of the guide portion 11d). Thus, in the tip portion 23 of the main body of the fixing frame 13, the upper surface of the tip protruding portion 15d is biased from above by the lower surface of the protruding portion 11c of the housing 11, and the lower surface of the bottom surface portion 15c is biased from below by the inner bottom surface of the housing 11 (more precisely, the upper surface of the guide portion 11d).

[0061] On the other hand, in the inner back holding portion 11b of the housing 11, as shown in Fig. As shown in FIG. 10A, the tip portion of the protruding portion 11c has a curved surface shape to guide the tip protruding portion 15d of the fixing frame 13 toward the inner rear side of the housing 11. Further, the guide portion 11d has an inclination formed thereon, the inclination guiding the bottom surface portion 15c of the fixing frame 13 toward the inner rear side of the housing 11.

[0062] More precisely, as in Fig. 10B, Fig. 10C and Fig. 10D, when the tip portion 23 of the fixing frame 13 is inserted into the inner rear side of the casing 11, the bottom surface portion 15c of the fixing frame 13 is gradually pushed up by the inclination of the guide portion 11d in the state in which the tip projecting portion 15d of the fixing frame 13 is guided to the inner rear side of the casing 11 by the tip portion (curved surface portion) of the projecting portion 11c ( Fig. 10B → Fig. 10C). Then, when the bottom surface portion 15c of the fixing frame 13 finally rises above the slope and rises to the upper surface of the guide portion 11d, the tip protruding portion 15d of the fixing frame 13 is strongly pressed from the upper side by the protruding portion 11c of the housing 11 ( Fig. 10C → Fig. 10D).

[0063] The effect of the present embodiment will be described. As previously described, the electronic control unit 1 of the present embodiment includes the fixing frame 13 and the casing 11. The fixing frame 13 has the juxtaposition and mounting portion 15 to which the control board 2 and the battery pack 3 are mounted in the state of being juxtaposed at the boundary along the longitudinal direction of the battery pack 3. The juxtaposition and mounting portion 15 has the control board and the battery pack fixed thereto. The casing 11 houses the control board 2 and the battery pack 3. The casing 11 has the opening portion 11a into which the juxtaposition and mounting portion 15 of the fixing frame 13 is inserted, and the back holding portion 11b that holds the juxtaposition and mounting portion 15 on the inner back side of the casing 11 opposite to the opening portion 11a.The housing 11 fixes the fixing frame 13 to the opening section 11a.

[0064] Further, in the electronic control unit 1, the back support portion 11b of the housing 11 has the protruding portion 11c protruding toward the opening portion 11a at the position separated from the bottom surface of the inner back of the housing 11, and in the juxtaposing and mounting portion 15 of the fixing frame 13, the tip portion 23 on the side where the juxtaposing and mounting portion 15 is inserted into the housing 11 has the curved shape by which the tip portion 23 is biased from above by the lower surface of the protruding portion 11c and biased from below by the inner bottom surface of the housing 11 at the inner back of the housing 11.

[0065] For this reason, first, in the case where the fixing frame 13 is housed in the case 11 in the state where the control board 2 and the battery pack 3 are fixed to the juxtaposition and mounting portion 15, the fixing frame 13 is held by the back side holding portion 11b of the case 11 and the fixing frame 13 is fixed to the opening portion 11a of the case 11, whereby the fixing frame 13 can be held from both sides opposite to each other in the case 11 and thus the supporting strength of the control board 2 in the case 11 can be maintained.

[0066] Next, in the fixing frame 13, the control board 2 and the battery pack 3 are fixed thereto adjacent to each other in a side-by-side arrangement. Thus, for example, the casing 11 can be formed in a rectangular shape, thus eliminating the need to provide a dead space around the casing 11. Furthermore, this eliminates the need to provide a wall separating a space in which the control board 2 is arranged and a space in which the battery pack 3 is arranged.

[0067] In the electronic control unit 1 based on this construction, the tip portion 23 of the juxtaposition and mounting portion 15 of the fixing frame 13 is formed in a curved shape, whereby the tip portion 23 is biased by the lower surface of the protruding portion 11c and the inner bottom surface of the casing 11 into the rear holding portion 11b of the casing 11. Thus, when the tip portion 23 of the juxtaposition and mounting portion 15 of the fixing frame 13 is held by the rear holding portion 11b of the casing 11, the tip portion 23 can be designed in such a manner as to be capable of absorbing a part size error of the tip portion 23 and the protruding portion 11c in the rear holding portion 11b of the casing 11.In this way, the tip portion 23 of the juxtaposing and mounting portion 15 of the fixing frame 13 can be properly held by the rear side holding portion 11b of the housing 11.

[0068] Furthermore, as stated in Fig. 9B, even in the case where an external force on a bottom surface side (in an R1 direction) of the housing 11 is applied to the tip protruding portion 15d of the fixing frame 13 by a reaction force that the bottom surface portion 15c of the fixing frame 13 receives from the bottom surface of the housing 11 (in an R2 direction), the fixing frame 13 can be prevented from being bent.

[0069] Thus, according to the electronic control unit 1, in the construction in which the supporting strength of the control board 2 in the housing 11 is secured and a design related to complicating the adjustment of the parts or portions is prevented and which can contribute to the miniaturization of the device by appropriately preventing the fixing frame 13 from being bent, the control board 2 fixed to the fixing frame 13 can be appropriately prevented from being bent.

[0070] Furthermore, the juxtaposition and mounting portion 15 of the fixing frame 13 has the flange 23a that sandwiches the protruding portion 11c in the rear side support portion 11b of the casing 11 together with the protruding portion 15d thereof in the state where the control board 2 is mounted on the juxtaposition and mounting portion 15. For this reason, even in the case where the external force on the bottom surface side of the casing 11 (in the R1 direction) is applied to the flange 23a, the reaction force that the bottom surface portion 15c of the fixing frame 13 receives from the bottom surface of the casing 11 (in the R2 direction) can prevent the fixing frame 13 from being bent. Thus, if the tip protruding portion 15d of the fixing frame 13 is arranged in a layered manner with respect to the protruding portion 11c in the rear side holding portion 11b of the housing,is arranged therebetween, the fixing frame 13 can be strongly held in the housing 11 and the control board 2 can be prevented from being bent in a suitable manner.

[0071] Furthermore, in the juxtaposition and assembly section 15 of the fixing frame 13, the bottom surface portion 15c thereof is formed by drawing the main body of the fixing frame 13. For this reason, in the tip portion 23 of the juxtaposition and assembly section 15 of the fixing frame 13, without adding and connecting a new member, the tip portion 23 can be provided with the bottom surface portion 15c of the fixing frame 13 biased from below by the inner bottom surface of the housing 11, thus reducing the weight of the fixing frame 13 and facilitating the manufacturing of the fixing frame 13.

[0072] Furthermore, the tip portion of the protruding portion 11c in the rear side holding portion 11b of the housing 11 has a curved surface shape to guide the tip protruding portion 15d of the fixing frame 13 to the inner rear side of the housing 11. For this reason, for example, even if a distance (a size) from the upper surface of the tip protruding portion 15d to the lower surface of the bottom surface portion 15c in the fixing frame 13 is larger than a distance (a size) from the lower surface of the protruding portion 11c to the inner bottom surface in the rear side holding portion 11b of the housing 11, for example, as much as an order of magnitude as a part size error, the tip protruding portion 15d of the fixing frame 13 can be easily inserted into the inner rear side of the housing 11. Thus, the tip portion 23 of the fixing frame 13 can be more strongly preloaded by the rear holding portion 11b of the housing 11.In this way, the tip portion 23 of the fixing frame 13 can be properly held by the rear side holding portion 11b of the housing 11.

[0073] Furthermore, the rear side holding portion 11b of the housing 11 has the guide portion 11d on which the inclination is formed, and the inclination gradually pushes up the bottom surface portion 15c of the fixing frame as the tip protruding portion 15d of the fixing frame 13 is guided toward the inner rear side of the housing 11 by the tip portion of the protruding portion 11c. For this reason, the tip portion 23 of the fixing frame 13 can be more strongly biased by the rear side holding portion 11b of the housing 11. Thus, the tip portion 23 of the fixing frame 13 can be more appropriately held by the rear side holding portion 11b of the housing 11.

[0074] Modified examples of the embodiment will be described. The embodiment has been described up to this point. However, the present disclosure is not limited to the above-described embodiment, but can be implemented in various modes within a range that does not deviate from the gist of the present disclosure.

[0075] For example, in the electronic control unit 1 of the above-described embodiment, the fixing frame 13 is formed in the shape of a letter L, but this shape is not limited. When the fixing frame 13 has a structure including the juxtaposition and mounting portion 15 and the sealing front portion 16, the fixing frame 13 can be formed in any shape.

[0076] Furthermore, in the electronic control unit 1 of the above-described embodiment, an example was described in which the sealing front portion 16 of the fixing frame 13 is fixed to the opening portion 11a of the housing 11 with screws. However, the present disclosure is not limited to this example; for example, the sealing front portion 16 of the fixing frame 13 may be connected to the opening portion 11a of the housing 11 with a snap fit.

[0077] Furthermore, in the electronic control unit 1 of the embodiment, an example in which the control board 2 is fixed to the juxtaposition and mounting portion 15 of the fixing frame 13 with screws has been described. However, the present disclosure is not limited to this embodiment; for example, the control board 2 may be connected to the juxtaposition and mounting portion 15 of the fixing frame 13 with a snap fit.

[0078] Furthermore, in the electronic control unit 1 of the above-described embodiment, a structure in which the control board 2 is mounted (fixed) on the flange 23a has been exemplified. However, the present disclosure is not limited to this structure, but the control board 2 may be mounted (fixed) at any location within the board mounting area in the fixing frame 13.

[0079] In this regard, in the above-described embodiment, an example was described in which the protective housing 10 constitutes the eCall unit as the electronic control unit 1. However, the present disclosure is not limited to this embodiment, but the protective housing 10 can be applied as a housing to constitute various electronic control units.
