Abstract
Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates to a flooring system and, more particularly, to a non-locking flooring system that is easy to install, store and transport. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] Flooring is a covering material used for installation on the floor, which generally includes wood flooring and tile flooring. Taking wood flooring as an example, wood flooring usually consists of several wooden planks that are glued or nailed to the floor one after the other to complete the wood flooring installation. However, such installation is quite time-consuming and labor-intensive, and it is also difficult to remove and replace. Although there are interlock-installed flooring options that can be installed without gluing or nailing, such interlock-installed flooring requires male and female connecting grooves on the sides of the floorboards. This not only makes the manufacturing process time-consuming but also creates limitations on the thickness of the floorboards.Furthermore, during installation, it is still unavoidable that the floor panels are connected to each other individually, which limits the efficiency of time saving and shows that there is a need for improvement. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0003] Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a non-locking installed flooring system to solve the technical problems in the prior art, effectively save the time required for installation and removal, and facilitate storage and transportation.
[0004] To overcome the technical problems of the prior art, the present invention provides a non-locking installed flooring system comprising: a base plate layer made of a flexible board, wherein a lower surface of the base plate layer is a laying surface; and a cover plate layer arranged on the base plate layer, wherein the cover plate layer includes a plurality of wooden floor slats arranged side by side in a width direction, wherein the wooden floor slats are formed by longitudinally cutting a plurality of mutually parallel cutting grooves on a single wooden panel fixedly attached to an upper surface of the base plate layer, such that the wooden floor slats are separated from each other by the cutting grooves serving as expansion joints, and the cover plate layer has a continuous wood-grained surface, which is formed by the upper surfaces of the wooden floor slats, wherein by laying the non-locking flooring system on a floor with the laying surface of the baseboard layer facing the floor, the floor is covered with the wooden floor slats which are not interlocked with each other, and wherein by bending the non-locking flooring system using at least one of the cut grooves as a fold line, the non-locking flooring system has a folded width for storage and transportation that is smaller than its original width before bending, and the non-locking flooring system can be laid on the floor in a curved manner to adapt to uneven floors.
[0005] In one embodiment of the present invention, the non-locking installed flooring system is provided, wherein the flexible sheet is a fabric sheet, a paper sheet, a plastic sheet, or a metal sheet.
[0006] In one embodiment of the present invention, the non-locking mounted flooring system is provided in which the flexible panel is provided with a net attached thereto.
[0007] In one embodiment of the present invention, the non-locking installed flooring system is provided, wherein the wood panel is made of solid wood or recycled wood.
[0008] In one embodiment of the present invention, the non-locking installed flooring system is provided, which further comprises an intermediate layer disposed between the baseboard layer and the cover slat layer, wherein the intermediate layer is made of recycled wood.
[0009] In one embodiment of the present invention, the non-locking installed flooring system is provided, in which the cutting grooves are formed in the cover slat layer simultaneously in a single cutting process with a plurality of parallel arranged cutting tools to improve the parallelism between the wood floor slats.
[0010] In one embodiment of the present invention, the non-locking installed flooring system is provided, in which the cut grooves in the cover slat layer are V-shaped grooves.
[0011] In one embodiment of the present invention, the non-locking installed flooring system is provided, in which the cut grooves in the cover slat layer are vertical longitudinal grooves.
[0012] In one embodiment of the present invention, the non-locking installed flooring system is provided, wherein the cover slat layer further includes a plurality of gap fillers that fill the cut grooves, whereby a top surface of the cover slat layer forms a seamless surface.
[0013] In one embodiment of the present invention, the lockless installed flooring system is provided, which further comprises a transparent cover layer formed on the upper surfaces of the wood floor slats in a manner that the continuous wood grain surface is visible through the transparent cover layer.
[0014] With the technical means employed by the present invention, the lockless flooring system of the present invention is a one-piece flooring system that can be installed without individually gluing or nailing the wood planks to the floor or individually connecting the floorboards together, and can be installed simply by directly laying the entire lockless flooring system at once. Furthermore, the wood floor slats of the lockless flooring system of the present invention are cut from a single wood panel to collectively form a top surface with a continuous wood grain finish, thereby saving time during installation because there is no need to worry about matching the wood grain between adjacent wood planks or floor tiles, as required by the prior art.The non-locking flooring system of the present invention not only has the advantage of requiring significantly less time and labor for installation compared to conventional interlocking flooring, but the present invention can also be laid on the floor in a curved manner to accommodate uneven flooring, eliminating the problem of difficultly leveling wood planks or floorboards not being able to connect due to uneven flooring. Additionally, the non-locking flooring system of the present invention can be bent using the cut grooves as fold lines, making storage and transportation easy despite being a large, one-piece flooring system. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0015] The preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to Fig. 1 to Fig. 7. The description serves only to illustrate the embodiments of the present invention and does not limit the scope of the claims.
[0016] As in Fig. 1, a non-locking installed flooring system 100 according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a base plate layer 1 made of a flexible plate, wherein a lower surface of the base plate layer 1 is a laying surface 11;and a cover slat layer 3 arranged on the base plate layer 1, the cover slat layer 3 including a plurality of wooden floor slats 31 arranged side by side in a width direction, the wooden floor slats 31 being formed by longitudinally cutting a plurality of mutually parallel cutting grooves 32 on a single wooden panel fixedly attached to an upper surface of the base plate layer 1, such that the wooden floor slats 31 are separated from each other by the cutting grooves 32 serving as expansion joints, and the cover slat layer 3 has a continuous wood-grained surface 33 formed by the upper surfaces of the wooden floor slats 31.
[0017] As in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2, during installation, by laying the non-locking mounted flooring system 100 according to the embodiment of the present invention on a floor G such that the laying surface 11 of the base board layer 1 faces the floor G, the floor G is covered by the wooden floor slats 31 which are not interlocked with each other.
[0018] In particular, since the cover slat layer 3 formed by the wooden floor slats 31 is arranged on the base plate layer 1, the non-locking flooring system 100 can be installed by laying the entire non-locking flooring system 100 directly on the floor G without having to mount the wooden floor slats 31 individually on the floor G.
[0019] As in Fig. 1, Fig. 3 and Fig. 4, during storage, the lockless flooring system 100 according to the embodiment of the present invention is bent using at least one of the cut grooves 32 as a fold line, whereby the lockless flooring system 100 has a folded width that is smaller than its original width before being bent.
[0020] In particular, as it is in Fig. 3, the non-locking installed flooring system 100 can be bent upwards using the cut grooves 32 as fold lines to form a roll, thereby significantly reducing the lateral width of the non-locking installed flooring system 100 for easy storage, and also facilitating transportation to the installation site by vehicle or by hand, and facilitating installation by rolling out. As shown in Fig. 4, the non-locking installed flooring system 100 can also be bent downward to form a board using the cut grooves 32 as fold lines, thereby significantly reducing the lateral width and thickness of the non-locking installed flooring system 100 and facilitating storage and transportation thereof.
[0021] During installation, as described in Fig. 1 and Fig. 5, by bending the lockless flooring system 100 according to the embodiment of the present invention using at least one of the cut grooves 32 as a fold line, the lockless flooring system 100 can be laid on the floor G in a curved manner to adapt to the unevenness of the floor G.
[0022] Specifically, since the lockless flooring system 100 according to the embodiment of the present invention can be bent using the cut grooves 32 as folding lines, the lockless flooring system 100 can be bent upward or downward according to the unevenness of the floor G, and thus can well cover even a floor G that is uneven and has a bulge. As a result, compared to conventional wood flooring and lockless flooring, the lockless flooring system 100 of the present invention can be installed more efficiently, eliminating the need for pre-installing a subfloor to level the floor before installation.
[0023] Preferably, as in Fig. 1, in the lockless flooring system 100 according to an embodiment of the present invention, the flexible sheet may be a fabric sheet, a paper sheet, a plastic sheet, or a metal plate. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and the flexible sheet may be any other type of sheet as long as it has the required flexibility so that the base plate layer 1 has the flexibility to precisely conform to the uneven floor without the problems of a conventional flooring, such as the difficulty of construction, the uneven surface, warping, and the inability to precisely conform to the floor. In addition, the flexible sheet may be further provided with a net attached thereto to improve the strength and / or flexibility of the flexible sheet.
[0024] Preferably, as in Fig. As shown in Figure 1, in the lockless flooring system 100 according to an embodiment of the present invention, the wood panel is made of solid wood or recycled wood. Furthermore, the lockless flooring system 100 further includes an intermediate layer 2 disposed between the baseboard layer 1 and the cover slat layer 3, the intermediate layer 2 being made of recycled wood. With this structure, the lockless flooring system 100 according to the present invention enables material cost savings and is environmentally friendly.
[0025] Preferably, as in Fig. 1, in the lockless flooring system 100 according to an embodiment of the present invention, the cut grooves 32 are formed in the cover slat layer 3 simultaneously in a single cutting process using a plurality of parallel cutting tools to improve the parallelism between the wood floor slats 31. With the cover slat layer 3 produced by this manufacturing method, by cutting all the cut grooves 32 simultaneously in one cutting process, the effect on parallelism caused by the difference in environment and parameters between different batches of cutting processes can be reduced, resulting in a more orderly arrangement and better parallelism of the wood floor slats 31.
[0026] In addition, in the cover lamella layer 3, since no connecting grooves are required on the sides of the wooden floor slats 31, the thickness of the wooden floor slats 31 is not limited and therefore thinner wooden boards can also be used as a wooden panel to produce thinner wooden floor slats 31 at lower material costs.
[0027] Preferably, in the non-locking mounted flooring system 100 according to an embodiment of the present invention, as shown in Fig. 1 and Fig. 5, the cut grooves 32 in the cover lamella layer 3 are V-shaped grooves that are wide at the top and narrow at the bottom. With such a structure, the upward bending degree of the non-locking flooring system 100 can be significantly increased by utilizing the cut grooves 32 as a folding line, so that even for the drastically uneven floor G (e.g., a staircase), the non-locking flooring system 100 of the present invention can be bent accordingly to achieve a good covering effect. Of course, the present invention is not limited to this, and the cut grooves 32 can also have other groove shapes according to different requirements, such as vertical longitudinal grooves (as in Fig. 7 shown).
[0028] Preferably, in a non-locking mounted flooring system 100a according to another embodiment of the present invention, as shown in Fig. 6, the cover lamella layer 3 further comprises a plurality of gap fillers 4 which fill the cut grooves 32, whereby an upper surface of the cover lamella layer 3 is formed into a seamless surface.
[0029] Specifically, the gap fillers 4 may be gel-type gap fillers formed by combining a powder made of the same material as the cover slat layer 3 with a binder resin, a gel-type binder resin, a waterproof resin, an environmentally friendly resin, a silicone material, or the like. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and the gap fillers 4 may be made of various other materials according to different requirements. After the non-locking flooring system 100a is installed, the gap fillers 4 may be inserted into the cut grooves 32 with a spatula, and then dried and shaped to form the seamless surface together with the wood floor slats 31. By filling with the gap fillers 4, the upper surface of the cover slat layer 3 no longer has any gaps (the cut grooves 32) and is smoother and denser. This makes the 100a flooring system, which is installed without locking, suitable for use in locations with higher requirements for smoothness and watertightness.
[0030] Preferably, in the non-locking mounted flooring system 100a according to another embodiment of the present invention, as shown in Fig. 6, the lockless flooring system 100a further includes a transparent cover layer 5 formed on the upper surfaces of the wood floor slats 31 in such a way that the continuous wood grain surface 33 is visible through the transparent cover layer 5. The transparent cover layer 5, for example, a transparent protective varnish for wood flooring, can protect the wood floor slats 31 without obscuring the continuous wood grain surface 33 of the cover slat layer 3 and can keep the continuous wood grain surface 33 smooth.
[0031] With the above structure, the lockless flooring system 100, 100a, and 100b of the present invention is a one-piece flooring system that can be installed without individually gluing or nailing the wood planks to the floor or individually connecting the floorboards together, and can be installed simply by directly laying the entire lockless flooring system at once. Furthermore, the wood floor slats of the lockless flooring system 100, 100a, and 100b of the present invention are cut from a single wood panel to collectively form a top surface with a continuous wood-grained surface 33, thereby saving time during installation because there is no need to worry about matching the wood grain between adjacent wood planks or floor tiles, as required in the prior art.The non-locking flooring system 100, 100a, and 100b of the present invention not only has the advantage of requiring significantly less time and labor for installation compared to conventional interlocking flooring, but the present invention can also be laid on the floor G in a curved manner to adapt to the unevenness of the floor, eliminating the problem that wood planks are difficult to level or that floorboards cannot be connected due to floor unevenness. In addition, the non-locking flooring system 100, 100a, and 100b of the present invention can be bent using the cut grooves 32 as fold lines, making it easy to store and transport despite being a large, one-piece flooring.
[0032] The above description is to be considered only as a discussion of the preferred embodiments of the present invention. However, one of ordinary skill in the art may make various modifications without departing from the present invention. These modifications will still fall within the scope of the present invention.
