[0022] The following description is one of the best modes of carrying out the present invention. This description is made for the purpose of illustrating the general principles of the invention and should not be taken in a limiting sense. The scope of the invention is best determined by reference to the appended claims.
[0023] With reference to the Fig. 1 and Fig. 2, a first embodiment of a headphone of the present invention is disclosed. The headphone 1 of the present embodiment includes a headband 10, a pair of connecting members 20, a pair of holding members 30, and a pair of sound generating modules 40. The headband 10 is arcuately shaped to fit a user's head. The headband 10 has a first end 11 and a second end 12. The connecting members 20 are movably disposed at two ends of the headband 10, respectively. One of the connecting members 20 slides on the headband 10 near or away from the first end 11, and the other of the connecting members 20 slides on the headband 10 near or away from the second end 12. The holding members 30 are rotatably connected to the connecting members 20. Each of the holding members 30 includes a first pivot portion 31 and a holding portion 32.The first pivot section 31 is rotatably connected to the connecting element 20, and the holding section 32 is attached to the first pivot section 31. The sound generating modules 40 are each removably arranged in the holding sections 32. The holding elements 30 are rotatable between an extended and a folded position. When the holding elements 30 are folded, as shown in FIG. Fig. 1, are in the extended position, the holding elements 30 are each aligned with the headband 10. As shown in Fig. 5, the holding elements 30 rotate from the extended position to approach each other and approach the headband and finally reach the folded position.
[0024] Referring to Fig. 3 and Fig. 4, each of the support members 30 further includes a second lower extension portion 33, a first lower extension portion 34, a second lower contact portion 35, and a first lower contact portion 36. The support portion 32 is annular. The sound generating modules 40 include a housing 41 having a barrel shape and a stepped structure 41a. When the housing 41 is mounted on the support portion 32, the housing 41 is positively assembled with the support portion 32, and the stepped structure 41a abuts an edge of the support portion 32 for axial positioning. The housing 41 has a plurality of sound openings 41b facing the ears of a user. Sound waves from the sound generating modules 40 are transmitted to the user's ears through the sound holes 41b.
[0025] Although the housing 41 is assembled with the holding portion 32 by a positive fit in the present embodiment, the present invention is not limited thereto. In other embodiments, the housing 41 is removably attached to the holding portion 32 by magnetic elements.
[0026] Furthermore, although the housing 41 is inserted into the holding portion 32 from an outer side to an inner side of the earphone 1, the present invention is not limited thereto. In other embodiments, the stepped structure 41a is arranged on the opposite side, and the housing 41 is inserted into the holding portion 32 from an inner side to an outer side of the earphone 1.
[0027] The second lower extension portion 33 is arranged on an outer peripheral surface and connected to the holding portion 32 and the first pivot portion 31. The second lower extension portion 33 includes a radial wall 331 and an axial wall 332. The radial wall 331 is connected to an outer peripheral wall of the holding portion 32, and the axial wall 332 is perpendicular to the radial wall 331 and extends toward the other holding member 30. The first lower extension portion 34 is arranged on an edge of the holding portion 32 and extends radially toward the other holding member 30. The axial walls 332 of the second lower extension portion 33 and the first lower extension portion 34 are opposite to each other. The radial wall 331 includes an engagement groove 331a and a plurality of slots 331b. The engagement groove 331a is adjacent to an outer peripheral surface of the holding portion 32.The housing 41 further includes an engaging projection 41c that engages the engaging groove 331a, thereby circumferentially restricting the housing 41 to prevent rotation in the holding portion 32.
[0028] The second lower contact portion 35 is disposed at an edge of the axial wall 332 and has a flange structure made of a soft material such as rubber. The first lower extension portion 34 has a U-shaped flexural rod structure. The first lower contact portion 36 surrounds an outer peripheral surface of the first lower extension portion 34. The first lower contact portion 36 is made of a soft material such as rubber. The first lower contact portion 36 and the second lower contact portion 35 are configured to abut the face in front of the ears and the neck behind the ears of the user, thereby separating the sound generating modules 40 from the ears by a distance, thereby enhancing the experience of music from the sound generating modules 40 and preventing an unpleasant feeling caused by the contact of the sound generating modules 40 with the ears for a longer period of time.
[0029] Referring to Fig. 4 and Fig. 10, the housing 41 of the sound generation modules 40 includes a plurality of ventilation holes 41d. The ventilation holes 41d are slot-shaped and are evenly spaced on the outer peripheral surface of the housing 41. The interior of the housing 41 communicates with the outside environment through the ventilation holes 41, thereby dissipating heat generated by the electronic components of the sound generation modules 40.
[0030] Referring to Fig. 5 and Fig. 6, each of the connecting elements 20 has a second pivot portion 21. The second pivot portion 21 is rotatably connected to the first pivot portion 31 of the holding element 30. The second pivot portion 21 has a first limiting surface 211 and a limiting end 212 perpendicular to the first limiting surface 211. The first pivot portion 31 includes a second limiting surface 311 and a third limiting surface 312 horizontally adjacent to the second limiting surface 311. When the holding elements 30 are in the extended position, the first limiting surface 211 abuts the second limiting surface 311 to prevent the holding element 30 from rotating outward. When the holding element 30 rotates from the extended position toward the folded position, the holding element 30 rotates relative to the connecting element 20 until the limiting end 212 abuts the third limiting surface 312, where the holding element 30 reaches the folded position and stops. Therefore, the holding element 30 rotates through an angle of 90° relative to the connecting element 20, i.e., the extended position and the folded position are separated by an angular distance of 90°.
[0031] Each of the holding elements 30 further includes an abutment portion 37 projecting from the outer peripheral surface of the holding portion 32 in front of and away from the first pivot portion 31. When the holding elements 30 are in the folded position, the abutment portions 37 of the pair of holding elements 30 abut each other. In other embodiments, the holding element 30 has no abutment portion, and the pair of holding elements 30 do not abut each other when the holding elements 30 are in the folded position.
[0032] With reference to the Fig. 7 and Fig. 8, each of the connecting members 20 further includes a first connecting portion 22 and a second connecting portion 23 detachably connected to the first connecting portion 22. The first connecting portion 22 slides on the headband 10 to approach or move away from the first end 11 or the second end 12, and the second connecting portion 23 is rotatably connected to the holding member 30. The first connecting portion 22 is located on an outer side of the connecting member 20, and the second connecting portion 23 is located on an inner side of the connecting member 20. The second pivot portion 21 is disposed between the first connecting portion 22 and the second connecting portion 23 and is connected to the second connecting portion 23. The first connecting portion 22 has an engaging groove 221, and the second connecting portion 23 has an engaging rib 231.The first connecting portion 22 is detachably assembled with the second connecting portion 23 through the engagement of the engagement groove 221 and the engagement rib 231. The engagement groove 221 extends along a direction perpendicular to the headband 10, whereby the second connecting portion 23, together with the holding elements 30 and the sound generation module 40, is moved laterally and detached from the first connecting portion 22.
[0033] Each of the connecting elements 20 further includes an upper contact portion 24, which is a protrusion disposed on a surface of the second connecting portion 23. The upper contact portion 24 is made of a soft material, such as rubber. The upper contact portion 24 abuts at one position on the face and above the ears. The upper contact portion 24, the first lower contact portion 36, and the second lower contact portion 35 abut at three positions on the user's face, thereby separating the sound generating modules 40 from the user's ears by a certain distance.
[0034] Referring to Fig. 9, each of the connecting elements 20 further includes a sliding portion 25, a rack portion 26, and two stop portions 27a, 27b. The sliding portion 25 is connected to the first connecting portion 22. The headband 10 has a sliding groove 13 open at the first end 11 and the second end 12. The sliding portion 25 is slidably mounted in the sliding groove 13, allowing the first connecting portion 22 to move along the headband 10. The rack portion 26 includes a plurality of teeth and is arranged on one side of the sliding portion 25. The rack portions 26 of the pair of connecting elements 20 are opposite to each other. The headband 10 further includes a gear 14 arranged at a center of the sliding groove 13.The rack sections 26 of the connecting element 20 engage the gear 14 on opposite sides, causing the connecting elements 20 to move synchronously in opposite directions. One of the stop sections 27 is arranged at one end of the rack section 26. The movement of the sound generating modules 40 is limited by the contact between the stop section 27 and the gear 14. Therefore, the position of the sound generating modules 40 is adjusted according to the user.
[0035] Although a surface of the first connecting portion 22 includes a plurality of rib structures configured to increase friction between a user's hand and the first connecting portion 22, the invention is not limited thereto. In other embodiments, the first connecting portion 22 has a smooth surface without any rib structure.
[0036] With reference to the Fig. 1, Fig. 4 and Fig. 10, the sound generation module 40 further includes a charging port 42 and an electrical connection portion 43. The charging port 42 is designed for the insertion of a charging cable. The electrical connection portions 43 of the pair of sound generation modules 40 are contacted, with circuits of the sound generation modules 40 connected in series or parallel. Therefore, the pair of sound generation modules 40 are electrically charged together when the charging port 42 of one sound generation module 40 is connected to a power supply. In other embodiments, the sound generation modules 40 are removed from the holding member 30 and inserted into a charging box for electrical charging. The charging port 42 of the present embodiment is a USB Type-C port.
[0037] With reference to Fig. 11 and Fig. 12, a second embodiment of the earphone of the present invention is disclosed. Since some of the components of the present embodiment are identical to the first embodiment, the identical components of the two embodiments are given the same number, and the description thereof is therefore omitted. The holding member 30 of the present embodiment does not have the first lower contact portion and the abutment portion. In addition, the sound generating module 40 of the present embodiment further includes a connecting pin 41e, and the holding portion 32 of the holding member 30 further includes a connecting hole 32a. The sound generating module 40 is detachably connected to the holding portion 32 by inserting the connecting pin 41e into the connecting hole 32a.
[0038] With reference to Fig. 13, Fig. 14 and Fig. 15 discloses a third embodiment of the earphone of the present invention. Since some of the components of the present embodiment are identical to the first embodiment, the identical components of the two embodiments are given the same number, and the description thereof is therefore omitted. The headband 10 of the present embodiment is a metal plate. The connecting member 20 has a guide groove, and two ends of the headband 10 are respectively inserted into the guide grooves of the connecting members 20, whereby the connecting members 20 slide along the headband 10. The headband 10 also includes a soft pad 10a at a position corresponding to the user's head. The connecting member 20 is pivoted to the support member 30 via a shaft, and a torsion spring is arranged at the pivot position. The first lower contact portion 36 is arranged at one end of the abutment portion 37 remote from the holding portion 32, and the second lower contact portion 35 is arranged at one side of the holding portion 32.
[0039] Referring to Fig. 16, Fig. 17 and Fig. 18 shows three charging methods of the sound generation module 40. As in Fig. As shown in Figure 16, the sound generation module 40 is connected to an external power supply via a cable X when the sound generation module 40 is mounted in the holding element 30, wherein the sound generation modules 40 are electrically connected by contact of electrical connection sections 39 arranged on the contact sections 37. As shown in Fig. 17, after the sound generation modules 40 are released from the holding elements 30, and the sound generation modules 40 are electrically connected by the electrical connection section 43. One of the sound generation modules 40 is connected to the external power supply via the cable X. As shown in Fig. As shown in Figure 18, the sound generation modules 40 are removed from the holding elements 30 and inserted into a charging box C, which is connected to the external power supply via the cable X.
[0040] With reference to Fig. 19, Fig. 20, Fig. 21, Fig. 22, Fig. 23 and Fig. 24 discloses a fourth embodiment of the earphone of the present invention. Since some of the components of the present embodiment are identical to the first embodiment, the identical components of the two embodiments are given the same number, and the description thereof is omitted. The headband 10 of the present embodiment is a metal plate. The connecting member 20 has a guide groove; two ends of the headband 10 are respectively inserted into the guide grooves of the connecting members 20, whereby the connecting members 20 slide along the headband 10. Since the headband 10 is a metal plate, the headband 10 elastically deforms, and the upper contact portions 24 abut against the user's head when the user wears the headband 10 on the head.
[0041] The holding elements 30 include a lower extension portion 33 connected to one side of the holding portion 32. The lower extension portion 33 is curved and extends from the holding portion 32 toward the other holding element 30. The second lower contact portion 35, configured to bear against the user's face, is arranged at one edge of the lower extension portion 33.
[0042] Each of the connecting elements 20 comprises a contact spring leaf 28 and a guide plate 29, each of the holding elements 30 comprises a contact plate 38 arranged between the contact spring leaf 28 and the guide plate 29, the guide plate 29 has a flat portion 291 and a curved portion 292. The contact spring leaf 28 bears against the contact plate 38 to allow the contact plate 38 to bear against the flat portion 291 when the holding elements 30 are in the extended position, as shown in Fig. 23. The abutment plate 38 moves along the curved portion 292 when the holding elements 30 move toward the folding position, and the abutment spring leaf 28 abuts against an edge of the abutment plate 29 to position the holding elements 30 in the folding position after the holding element 30 has reached the folding position, as shown in Fig. 24 shown.
[0043] Although the headband 10, the pair of connecting elements 20, the pair of holding elements 30, and the pair of sound generating modules 40 are separate components or modules, the present invention is not limited thereto. In other embodiments, the headband 10, the pair of connecting elements 20, the pair of holding elements 30, and the pair of sound generating modules 40 are integrally formed.
[0044] Although the earphone 1 of the present invention includes the upper contact portion 24, the first lower contact portion 36, and the second lower contact portion 35, the present invention is not limited thereto. In other embodiments, the earphone includes only the upper contact portion and has no lower contact portion.
[0045] Since the connecting elements are movably arranged on the headband, the user can adjust the positions of the connecting elements according to the distance between the user's head and ears. Since the holding elements are pivotally connected to the connecting elements, the holding elements, together with the sound generation modules mounted therein, fold toward the headband, thereby reducing the size of the headphones and thus making them comfortable to wear. The sound generation modules can be charged when the sound generation modules are mounted in or removed from the holding elements. The removed sound generation modules are electrically charged individually, or the sound generation modules are electrically connected to each other, and one of the sound generation modules is connected to a power supply for electrical charging.
[0046] Since the upper contact portions are arranged on the connecting members, when a user wears the headset of the present invention on his head with the sound generating modules separated by a distance from the user's face, the upper contact portions abut against a user's face.
[0047] While the invention has been described by way of example and with reference to a preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited thereto. On the contrary, it is intended to cover various modifications and similar arrangements (as would be obvious to one skilled in the art). Therefore, the scope of the appended claims should be given the broadest possible interpretation to encompass all such modifications and similar arrangements.
