Description

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to a bra. TECHNICAL BACKGROUND

[0002] Bras are used to provide supportive support for women's breasts. A bra generally has two cups, each of which at least partially encloses and supports one breast. The cups are connected in the middle between the two breasts. A halter strap attaches to the sides of the two cups and can be wrapped around the back of the wearer to encircle their ribcage.

[0003] Traditionally, various bra types are offered to meet different needs and preferences. Bra types range from wire-free bras to underwire bras. There are also push-up bras with padding that lift the breasts and give them a fuller shape, sports bras that are firm and supportive for athletic activities, and T-shirt bras that are as seamless as possible and remain invisible under close-fitting clothing. Minimizer bras visually reduce breast size by giving the breasts a flatter appearance. Another popular bra type is the balconette bra, which lifts the breasts from below, creating a naturally full shape, and features widely spaced straps for optimal wear under low-cut clothing.

[0004] Underwire bras are very popular and feature underwires that run under the bust, providing additional support compared to wireless bras.

[0005] Wireless bras often cannot offer the same level of support as underwire bras. However, wireless bras are frequently associated with greater comfort than traditional underwire bras, as underwires are often perceived as a foreign object, in other words, pressure or a restriction of movement. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION AND FORM OF EXECUTION

[0006] There may be a need for a bra that reduces the feeling of a foreign object being worn and leaves less of a visible mark under clothing, while still providing a high level of functional comfort in terms of support, hold, and freedom of movement. The bra should also be durable. In other words, there is a need for a durable bra that ideally combines the functionality of an underwired bra with the comfort of a wireless bra.

[0007] The aforementioned needs can be at least partially met by the bra according to the independent claim of the present application. Advantageous embodiments are specified in the dependent claims and the following description, or illustrated in the accompanying figures.

[0008] According to one aspect of the present invention, a bra with two cups is provided. The bra has two cups, each with an underwire channel. An underwire is arranged in each underwire channel. The underwire is flattened and has an angle of inclination of 30 to 75 degrees. The angle of inclination can, for example, be 40 to 50 degrees. The angle of inclination can, in particular, be 45 degrees. The underwire channel is tubular. The underwire channel comprises a support yarn and a fusible yarn. The fusible yarn, in particular, comprises or consists of thermoplastic fibers. The underwire channel is stretchable in the longitudinal direction of the channel.

[0009] The bra according to the invention reduces the sensation of a foreign body when worn. The bra according to the invention leaves a reduced imprint under outer clothing. In other words, the bra shows through the outer clothing little or not at all. This results in improved wearing comfort and a discreet appearance under outer clothing.

[0010] The angle of the underwire allows it to adapt to the ergonomic shape of the wearer's body. This enables the underwire to be made significantly thinner compared to a conventional underwire, while providing the same level of breast support. The angle can be ergonomically adjusted to the wearer's natural body movements, further enhancing comfort.

[0011] The angle of inclination at which the flattened underwire is positioned within the underwire channel is understood here to be the angle of a chamfer on an inner edge of the underwire to a horizontal axis. Here, an outer edge is the outer boundary of the underwire, and an inner edge is the inner boundary. In other words, the outer edge is the side of the underwire furthest from the body of the person wearing the bra. The inner edge is the side of the underwire closer to the body. Geometrically, the chamfer between the outer and inner edges of the underwire is a chord connecting the outer edge of the underwire to the angled inner edge, thus illustrating the angle of inclination.

[0012] Visually, imagine a flattened stirrup lying flat on a level surface. This stirrup has an angle of inclination of 0 degrees. Both edges, the outer and inner edges, of the stirrup run along a flat surface spanned in the plane of the horizontal axis. In contrast, with an inclined flattened stirrup, the angle of inclination causes the inner edge of the stirrup to protrude from the flat surface at a predetermined angle. In this case, it protrudes geodesically upwards from the flat surface spanned in the plane of the horizontal axis. If the stirrup is shaped to have an angle of inclination of, for example, 45 degrees, this means that the stirrup itself already incorporates the curvature or bend.

[0013] The angle of inclination is intuitively defined by the imaginary line or chord connecting the outer edge to the inner edge with respect to the flat surface (also called the horizontal surface) spanning the plane of the horizontal axis. The angle of inclination is typically between 30 and 75 degrees, particularly between 40 and 50 degrees, for example, 45 degrees. This means that the stirrup is designed so that its inner edge is inclined at, for example, 30 degrees to the horizontal axis. Visually, the angle of inclination can be represented as the inclination of the inner edge with respect to the plane of the horizontal surface, with the stirrup's outer edge resting on this surface.

[0014] The angle of inclination can also be described as follows. The stirrup is shaped to have a defined curvature, with the angle of inclination, ranging from 30 to 75 degrees, representing the deviation of the inner edge from the horizontal. The outer edge of the stirrup remains horizontal, while the curvature occurs along its length. The stirrup's cross-section is rectangular or oval. This design facilitates a uniform load distribution. The radius of the bend that achieves the desired angle of inclination, for example, 30 degrees, is determined based on the length and shape of the stirrup. The length of the inner edge is the length of the side affected by the bending angle. The outer edge remains horizontal.

[0015] This relationship can also be expressed in terms of the bending radius (R). The bending radius R depends on the length L of the chord of the inner edge of the stirrup and the desired angle of inclination. The bending radius R can be determined by geometric relationships: R=L2sin(α2) where L is the length of the chord along the inner edge of the stirrup and α is the angle of inclination (for example, 45 degrees). The length L intuitively encompasses the entire distance along the inner edge of the stirrup that supports and shapes the curve of the chest.

[0016] The inclined, flattened underwire of the bra described herein can be clearly compared to a conventional flattened underwire. The conventional flattened underwire, for example, has a rectangular cross-section and runs in horizontal planes with both its outer and inner edges. In the underwire according to the invention, with its angled design, the bending radius R creates, for example, a 45-degree angle between the inner edge and the horizontal plane, with the outer edge of the underwire according to the invention lying in the horizontal plane.

[0017] The horizontal axis is an imaginary line running horizontally through the bra when it is laid down. This line extends parallel to the floor line through the center of the bra and through the base of the cups. The angle of inclination is the angle that the flattened underwires make relative to the horizontal axis. This angle affects how the underwire sits under the breast and how the bra supports the breasts.

[0018] The fact that the bracket is flattened means that the bracket does not have a circular or round cross-section, but rather an oval, elliptical or preferably rectangular cross-section, which results in a flatter profile and allows an angle of inclination to be provided when arranging the bracket.

[0019] Thanks to its flattened shape and angle of inclination, the bar offers optimal support by adapting to the natural contour of the body and distributing pressure evenly.

[0020] The flattened shape reduces the risk of pressure points and increases wearing comfort, especially during longer periods of wear.

[0021] In other words, the underwire has a beveled or slanted shape between its outer and inner edges, with a rectangular or oval cross-section. This beveled shape allows for optimal adaptation to the wearer's chest shape, enabling the underwire to be lighter and thinner compared to conventional underwires without compromising functionality. Visually, the underwire appears three-dimensional.

[0022] The underwire channel provided in the bra according to the invention serves to further reduce the pressure of the underwire when wearing the bra. This results in a further reduction of the sensation of a foreign object when wearing the bra.

[0023] The tubular design of the harness channel ensures that the harness is securely guided and completely enclosed within the channel. This tubular structure also allows the harness to adapt optimally to the natural movements of the wearer's body. This further reduces pressure from the harness and minimizes the feeling of a foreign object while wearing it.

[0024] In this context, a tubular underwire channel is defined as having the shape of a tube or pipe. The underwire channel is optionally formed as a single piece. In other words, the tubular or pipe shape is a hollow structure. When attached to the respective cup, the tubular underwire channel is flattened. This means that, after being attached to the cup of the bra according to the invention, the tubular underwire channel has a flat structure. This ensures that the underwire is held securely and comfortably in position. Furthermore, the pressure of the underwire is distributed more evenly compared to a conventional underwire channel design. The tubular underwire channel also allows for an optimized fit. Finally, the tubular underwire channel contributes to the bra's durability. The ironing channel also has a smaller circumference and therefore, when sewn on, a smaller thickness than a conventional ironing channel, thus pressing less through the outer garment.

[0025] A conventional bra channel has a multi-layered construction. An outer band, usually an elastic strip of fabric, is reinforced with a first band as an intermediate layer. The underwire is positioned on the first band. The underwire is covered by a second band as an intermediate layer. The outer band is folded and sewn onto the respective cup of a conventional bra. The intermediate layers are usually made of knitted jersey fabric. This is often chosen for greater underwire comfort. However, each layer of the conventional bra channel contributes to its thickness. Compared to the bra channel according to the invention, the conventional bra channel is thicker and therefore shows through more under outer clothing. Furthermore, the conventional bra channel is stiffer and less flexible than the bra channel according to the invention, resulting in a noticeable feeling of a foreign object when wearing the bra.

[0026] According to the invention, the fabric structure of the underwire channel comprises the support yarn and the fusible yarn. The fabric structure allows for additional puncture resistance of the channel without requiring further layers in the channel construction. In particular, the fusible threads form a barrier resistant to punctures from an underwire. Furthermore, this makes the bra according to the invention more durable and easier to wash.

[0027] In other words, the tubular ironing channel allows for a thinner design compared to conventional ironing channels while maintaining the same functionality, thereby reducing the feeling of a foreign object and resulting in a high level of wearing comfort.

[0028] A fusible yarn according to the invention is a yarn that can be melted or partially melted at a specific temperature and subsequently cooled to adhere to the support yarn. Advantageously, the fusible yarn melts at a temperature below 100 °C, particularly at 90 °C or less. The fusible yarn can then be cooled and adhere to the support yarn. The resulting fabric preferably has a higher melting point than the melting temperature of the fusible yarn, and in particular, the resulting fabric has a melting point above 100 °C.

[0029] In one embodiment, the meltable yarn contains or consists of thermoplastic fibers. These thermoplastic fibers are, for example, spun into a yarn. The meltable yarn may, for instance, contain or consist of nylon fibers. The thermoplastic fibers may advantageously be recycled fibers.

[0030] In addition, according to one embodiment, soft yarns can be used for the ironing channel. A soft yarn is understood to be a yarn that contains or consists of natural and / or synthetic fibers. Examples of such fibers are cotton, silk, modal, microfiber, or nylon. A soft yarn is fine, with the fineness referring to the diameter of the yarn. The diameter of yarns can be specified in denier or microns.

[0031] Denier refers to the weight of the yarn in grams per 9,000 meters of length. A low denier value is a characteristic of a fine yarn. A fine yarn has a denier value greater than 1, for example, less than 10, and in particular 10 to 40 denier, especially 10 to 20 denier. For example, a soft silk yarn according to the invention has a denier value of 10 to 20 denier. This denier range ensures that the silk yarn is soft, smooth, and pleasant against the skin, making it ideal for bras and other textiles worn close to the skin.

[0032] Micron is another unit of measurement for the diameter of yarns and is frequently used for yarns made from natural fibers. Fine yarns have a diameter greater than 1 micron, for example less than 30 microns, and particularly advantageously 10 to 20 microns. A soft cotton yarn according to the invention, for example, has a diameter of 15 to 20 microns.

[0033] A soft cotton yarn can also be specified in denier and has a value of 10 to 20 denier. A soft nylon yarn according to the invention can have a denier value of 10 to 40 denier.

[0034] A soft yarn as defined in the invention can also be twisted. A twisted yarn has two or more yarn strands that are twisted together. This gives the yarn additional reinforcement, strength, and resistance to breakage. Furthermore, a twisted yarn has good elasticity and, despite its strength, is perceived as pleasant against the skin when worn. This has the advantage of making the ironing channel even more skin-friendly and further increasing wearing comfort.

[0035] The ironing channel is stretchable in its longitudinal direction. In other words, the ironing channel is stretchable along its longitudinal axis. Stretchable, as used in the invention, means that the material—in other words, the fabric—of the ironing channel, in its closed, or tubular, form, exhibits a compression of 5 to 10% and a stability of -3.0% or less. The compression of the material refers to how much the material shortens when, for example, it is subjected to compression shrinkage.

[0036] A compression of 5 to 10% can be clearly defined as follows: starting with a material or fabric with a length of 100 cm, after compression a material or fabric with a length of 90 to 95 cm is obtained.

[0037] The stability of a material or fabric defines how much it shrinks after compression during a predefined washing process. A stability value of -3.0% means that a fabric compressed to 100 cm will shrink to 97 cm after washing.

[0038] The stretch properties of the bra according to the invention can be achieved, for example, by compression shrinkage, in which yarn strands are compressed transversely to the width of the material—in other words, the fabric—thereby causing stretching in the longitudinal direction of the material. This is preferably done by applying heat and pressure to the material. Typically, this gives the material a semi-permanent stretch. In other words, compression shrinkage is not completely reversible. The material returns to its original shape to some extent after the stretching forces are removed, but not completely. In other words, stretching in the longitudinal direction is achieved by the process of compression shrinkage, by forcing the material to shorten along its length and then relax again.Compression shrinkage refers, quite simply, to a process in which the material being treated—in other words, the substance being treated—is shortened by mechanical pressure. This results in the material becoming denser and shorter. This has the added advantage of allowing the shrinkage rate to be controlled, making the material more stable and resistant to future shrinkage compared to the untreated material.

[0039] Additionally or alternatively, the material can contain or consist of elastic fibers, such as Lycra. This allows the longitudinal elasticity of the material to be predetermined.

[0040] According to one embodiment, the yarn can consist of several yarns, in other words, several component yarns, in particular several twisted component yarns. The component yarns can be filament yarns, in particular standard filament yarns and / or microfiber filament yarns. The component yarns are in particular twisted together to form a yarn, wherein at least one component yarn can contain elastic fibers.

[0041] According to one embodiment, the yarn can consist of several component yarns twisted together to form a final yarn, wherein one component yarn comprises elastic fibers, and in particular, the component yarn is a standard filament yarn. For example, the yarn can comprise a first component yarn that is a standard filament yarn and contains, for example, a sheathed elastic fiber, such as an elastane fiber, wherein the elastic fiber may be sheathed.

[0042] For example, an elastane fiber can be coated with a polyamide. The first component yarn can, for example, contain approximately 2 wt% of the elastane fiber and approximately 4 wt% of a polyamide, where the wt% is based on the final yarn as 100 wt%. The yarn, in other words, the final yarn, can contain a second component yarn. The second component yarn can be a microfiber filament yarn. The microfiber filament yarn can contain a polyamide. The second component yarn can, for example, constitute approximately 62 wt% of the final yarn. The yarn, in other words, the final yarn, can contain a third component yarn, which contains a microfiber filament yarn and a polyamide. The third component yarn can, for example, constitute approximately 27 wt% of the final yarn. The yarn, in other words, the final yarn, can contain a fourth component yarn, which can be a standard filament yarn. The standard filament yarn can contain a polyamide. The fourth component yarn can, for example, constitute approximately...They make up 5% by weight of the final yarn. The four component yarns are twisted together to form a single yarn, in other words, the final yarn. To do this, the four yarns are brought together and aligned parallel to each other. During the twisting process, the yarns are twisted together. This twisting process ensures that the individual filaments are bonded and reinforced. This results in a strong, durable, and flexible final yarn.

[0043] A standard filament yarn, as defined in the application, is a textile material composed of continuous filaments. Filament yarns are, figuratively speaking, made up of long, uninterrupted fibers. They have a smooth and uniform surface, giving them a silky or lustrous texture. The diameter of a standard filament yarn can vary considerably. Polyamide filaments can have diameters ranging from approximately 10 to 30 micrometers. The size depends on the manufacturing process and the intended use. Polyester filaments have similar diameters to polyamide filaments, often ranging from approximately 10 to 30 micrometers. Natural silk filaments are very fine and typically have diameters ranging from 10 to 15 micrometers.

[0044] A microfiber filament yarn is a textile material made up of very fine fibers, often less than one denier in diameter. Microfiber fibers are incredibly thin, often less than one denier. For comparison, one denier is roughly the thickness of a single silk thread. Microfiber filament yarns can be up to 100 times finer than a human hair. Due to their fineness, microfiber filament yarns have a very smooth surface that feels soft and provides a luxurious feel. Microfiber filament yarns are known for their high strength, durability, and softness. They are also highly absorbent and quick-drying, making them ideal for many applications.

[0045] According to one embodiment, the first component yarn can contain elastane fibers, thus allowing the elasticity to be easily predetermined in the design. The elastane fiber can be encased in polyamide, for example nylon, which serves to protect the elastane fiber and provide stability. The polyamide effectively forms the outer sheath of the yarn and protects the elastic core from wear and tear.

[0046] According to one embodiment, the second component yarn and / or the third component yarn can each comprise a microfiber filament yarn made of polyamide, for example, nylon. The microfiber filament yarn has fine fibers with a diameter of less than one denier. The microfiber material, polyamide, particularly nylon, is known for its high strength and durability. Microfiber filament yarns are particularly soft and offer a smooth surface.

[0047] According to one embodiment, the fourth component yarn can have a greater thread thickness than the second and third component yarns and is therefore inherently more robust. The polyamide, in particular nylon, offers high strength, flexibility, and resistance to abrasion and washing. By selecting the appropriate component yarns, the properties of the final yarn can thus be easily chosen and coordinated for the desired application.

[0048] The specific composition and structure of each component yarn can thus be selected according to the desired overall properties of the finished yarn. The component yarns can consist of a single yarn strand as the core fiber, which is, for example, sheathed. The so-called denier of the respective component yarn can be selected to adjust the thickness and fineness of the finished yarn. A denier value, for example, from 10 to 30 denier, typically indicates a fine fiber. A component yarn can also have a higher denier value to make the yarn more robust. Additionally, the weight of the fibers in each yarn can also be selected according to the desired properties of the finished yarn.

[0049] The material's elasticity along the longitudinal axis of the ironing channel ensures that the fabric lies flat and reliably prevents creasing. This is particularly advantageous when adapting to bends, such as the curvature of the ironing channel, to accommodate the shape of the iron it will hold.

[0050] This further enhances wearing comfort. The underwire channel can adapt better to the movements and shape of the wearer's body. This ensures an optimal fit that provides all-day comfort. The flexibility achieved through stretching distributes pressure more evenly across the breasts and surrounding areas. This reduces the risk of pressure points and chafing that can occur with rigid, conventional underwire bras.

[0051] The bra according to the invention reduces the sensation of a foreign body when worn. Furthermore, the bra according to the invention creates less of an outline under clothing. The bra according to the invention ensures a high level of functional comfort in terms of support and hold, as well as freedom of movement. The wearer's movements are less restricted, and, with good support from the bra, a feeling of freedom and lightness is vividly described. In other words, the bra according to the invention offers the functionality of an underwire bra with the comfort of a wireless bra. The bra according to the invention also exhibits good durability.

[0052] According to one embodiment, the respective underwire channel is sewn to the associated cup, and optionally to a textile layer, in particular an outer fabric, of the bra, using a concealed seam. This has the advantage that the seams are hidden. In other words, the seams are folded inwards and sewn, resulting in a smooth appearance of the bra without visible seam lines. Furthermore, the edges are smooth and even, which is particularly advantageous with delicate fabrics. Additionally, friction is reduced simply by design, since the seams are folded inwards. There are also no noticeable stiff or rough edges that could rub against the skin, which increases wearing comfort. The smooth edges and the absence of rough seam lines make the garment skin-friendly and therefore more comfortable to wear. Moreover, the concealed seams reinforce the edges and prevent the fabric from fraying, further increasing the bra's lifespan. The turned seams are also more durable and resistant to wear and tear, which is particularly important when wearing and washing frequently.

[0053] According to one embodiment, the ironing channel is essentially non-stretchable in the lateral direction. In other words, the elongation of the material or fabric in the lateral direction, for example due to compression shrinkage, preferably remains essentially unchanged. This has the advantage that the ironing channel material retains its width and does not deform. This is particularly advantageous for the fit of the ironing channel and allows it to remain reliably flat and smooth. The consistent width of the material also makes it easier to process; sewing and cutting are further simplified because the dimensions in the lateral direction remain constant and the material does not distort during processing.

[0054] An ironing channel that doesn't stretch in the width direction is also less prone to creasing. Furthermore, the absence of lateral stretching ensures even tension distribution, which further increases the durability and longevity of the ironing channel.

[0055] According to one embodiment, the respective underwire channel is sewn onto the outside of the corresponding cup. Alternatively, the respective underwire channel is arranged on the inside of the corresponding cup. For the purposes of this invention, "outside" refers to the side of the bra that faces away from the wearer's body when the bra is worn. "Inside" refers to the side facing the wearer's body.

[0056] Depending on the outer material and / or bra type, the underwire channel can be positioned on the outside or inside. If the underwire channel is positioned on the outside, particularly if it is sewn on, direct contact with the skin can be avoided. This results in even greater wearing comfort. The bra according to the invention also advantageously features a minimally penetrating underwire channel, even when the underwire channel is positioned on the outside of the cup. Positioning it on the side facing away from the wearer's body allows for an even more comfortable feel and a reduced sensation of a foreign object. The bra according to the invention even permits the use of lace as the outer material when the underwire is positioned on the outside of the cup.

[0057] According to one embodiment, the respective basket can be glued to an outer material. The outer material can simply be folded over for this purpose. This structurally maintains the flattened outer edge of the respective basket.

[0058] According to one embodiment, the temple channel is formed from a single piece of woven tubing. This prevents the temple from piercing the skin even more reliably. Additionally, the pressure exerted by the temple during wear is further optimized and reduced.

[0059] According to one embodiment, the cups are flattened and / or tapered at the outer edge. This further reduces the bra's visibility or show-through under clothing. In other words, the visible line under clothing is minimized. The bra is thus barely noticeable under clothing. The flattened and / or tapered outer edge allows for thinner underwires, resulting in increased comfort and further reduced visibility or show-through under clothing.

[0060] Tapered means that the thickness of the outer rim of the cup gradually decreases towards the edge. This creates a smooth transition, further improving flexibility and comfort. Visually, the material of the cup becomes gradually or even continuously thinner in the area of the outer rim. This also results in a smoother edge. In other words, the thickness of the rim decreases gradually towards the outer edge. This tapering distributes pressure evenly, further reducing pressure points and discomfort. The gradual reduction in thickness also reduces pressure on the skin, leading to greater comfort. A tapered outer rim also ensures a smooth silhouette under clothing, as it is less noticeable and adapts well to the body's shape. In other words, the tapered outer edge makes it easier to adapt to the natural contours of the body, resulting in a further optimized fit and even more freedom of movement.

[0061] According to one embodiment, the lower outer edge is in particular flattened and / or tapered.

[0062] According to one embodiment, the entire outer edge is flattened and / or tapered.

[0063] According to one embodiment, the outer rim has a thickness reduced by 10% to 45%. This reduction in thickness means that the basket is 10% to 45% thinner than a predetermined standard basket in a specific region of the outer rim. For example, the basket has a tapered outer rim, with the outer rim of the standard basket having a thickness of, say, 4.5 mm in a predetermined first region. The outer rim of the standard basket gradually decreases to a predetermined second region chosen closer to the edge of the outer rim, with the standard basket having a thickness of, say, 3.5 mm in this second predetermined region. In a third predetermined region, chosen in the area of the edge of the outer rim of the standard basket, the thickness is, for example, 1.5 mm.The cup according to the invention, with a thickness reduced by 10% to 45%, has a thickness of, for example, 4.05 mm to 2 mm in the first predetermined area, a thickness of, for example, 3.15 mm to 1.6 mm in the second predetermined area, and a thickness of 1.35 mm to 0.825 mm in the third predetermined area. This further reduces the appearance of the bra showing through or creating marks under outer clothing.

[0064] According to one embodiment, the cups are padded and have graduated volume. This design achieves a simple, optimized volume adapted to different cup sizes. In other words, it creates a size-specific lift effect. The lift effect refers to the lifting of the breasts. To illustrate, this results in a more pronounced push-up effect in smaller sizes, while in larger sizes, less padding is needed for the lift effect. This further reduces the appearance of the bra showing through clothing. The push-up effect describes a bra function where the shape and padding of the cups lift and push the wearer's breasts inwards. The breasts are thus supported from below and from the sides, and pushed upwards.Conventional bras require a firm and strong underwire to lift the breasts. Additionally, conventional push-up bras are often heavily padded to achieve this lifting effect. In larger sizes, the thick padding of a conventional bra can often act like a cushion under clothing, creating an unnatural, statue-like appearance. The breasts of the wearer can appear like a rigid, immobile statue due to the pronounced padding and rigid shape of the cups. This often results in an unnatural silhouette under clothing, as the padding creates a smooth, voluminous surface lacking natural contours and movement.

[0065] According to one embodiment, the cups are laminated with polyester, in particular recycled polyester. Polyester is a robust, lightweight material. Polyester is durable and shows little wear. Polyester is resistant to stretching and loss of shape, thus ensuring the cup retains its shape. Polyester is easy to wash and dries quickly. Furthermore, polyester wicks moisture well, thus contributing to the bra's moisture management. Polyester is also a smooth material and therefore adds minimal bulk under outer clothing. In summary, polyester further enhances wearing comfort. Recycled polyester is particularly sustainable. Recycled polyester is a synthetic material made from recycled polyester fibers or products.Instead of using new raw materials, polyester is produced from existing plastic waste, such as used polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles or discarded polyester clothing.

[0066] According to one embodiment, the cups are multi-layered, in particular four-layered. In other words, the cup has several layers, especially four. This allows the cup to be constructed without darts, i.e., with a smooth, seamless surface. This further reduces the tendency for the cup to show through or create pressure marks under outer clothing. The absence of darts results in less friction against the skin, thus further increasing wearing comfort. The lack of darts also reduces weak points where the cup material can tear, resulting in good durability. Additionally, each layer can be selected according to specific properties to optimize the support, shape, and softness of the cup. The cup can thus be optimally designed for a desired fit and breast support.

[0067] According to one embodiment, the cup is multi-layered, and the layers are bonded together at the outer edge. The outer edge is particularly flattened and / or tapered. Additionally or alternatively, the outer edge can be 10% to 30% thinner than a conventional outer edge. The bonded outer edge requires no seams, thus creating a smooth, seamless surface. This surface shows through clothing less than usual. The absence of seams increases comfort at the cup edge. As a result, the bra has even fewer points that can chafe the skin.

[0068] According to one embodiment, the bra has two straps.

[0069] According to one embodiment, the straps are ergonomically designed. For the purposes of this invention, "ergonomic" refers to a strap that is designed and / or shaped in such a way as to support the natural anatomy and movements of the shoulder. The shoulder-ergonomic strap described above allows for a high level of wearing comfort and a reduction in strain and discomfort for the wearer of the bra according to the invention.

[0070] Ergonomic straps are wider compared to conventional strap-shaped straps. They are also advantageously padded. Additionally, or alternatively, ergonomic straps are contoured to the shape of the shoulder. The padding and / or the contoured shape provide enhanced comfort, especially for those with a larger bust. Ergonomic straps help reduce pressure on the shoulders. Furthermore, they offer improved support and prevent slippage more reliably than conventional strap-shaped straps.

[0071] In one embodiment, the straps are adjustable in length. This allows the straps to be further adapted to the body of the person carrying them.

[0072] In one embodiment, the ergonomic straps advantageously possess a certain degree of elasticity. This elasticity allows the strap to adapt particularly effectively to the movements of the wearer without compromising its fit.

[0073] Additionally or alternatively, in one embodiment, the straps are tapered. This design ensures a simple and even distribution of pressure on the shoulders when worn. The tapered shape of the strap conforms well to the natural contours of the shoulder and upper back. This results in a more even distribution of pressure and reduces the risk of pressure points. Compared to conventional strap-shaped straps, tapered straps also have a wider base, distributing the weight over a larger area. This leads to greater stability and prevents the straps from digging into the skin or slipping. Tapered straps also appear smoother under clothing compared to conventional strap-shaped straps. This makes them less noticeable under clothing. The tapered shape also helps to reduce the strain on the shoulders. This prevents tension and pain for the person carrying the support, especially in cases of increased strain due to large breasts.

[0074] According to one embodiment, the supports are welded, in particular ultrasonically welded. Welding in this context means that two or more materials are permanently and metallurgically joined by heating, melting, pressing together under pressure, and cooling the two or more materials. Ultrasonically welded, in the context of the invention, means that two or more materials are permanently and metallurgically joined by high-frequency sound waves (ultrasound). The sound waves generate vibrations in the materials, pressing them together. These vibrations cause friction, which generates heat and melts the materials at the contact points. Once the materials have melted, they are held together under pressure until they cool, forming a strong, permanent bond.No additives are necessary for ultrasonic welding, as the bond is created solely through sound waves and pressure. Ultrasonic welding leaves no residue. This is particularly advantageous for bras worn directly against the skin. The resulting weld is seamless, meaning no seam is visible under clothing. Ergonomic straps, in particular, are even less bulky under clothing because no unevenness is created. The seamless strap also prevents pressure points that can occur along a seam during wear. In other words, (ultrasonically) welded straps distribute pressure evenly over a large, seamless area, reducing chafing and pressure points. (Ultrasonically) welded straps are resistant to wear and tear and retain their shape and function for a long time.

[0075] According to one embodiment, the supports are welded along the outer edges, in particular ultrasonically welded. This results in a thinner support compared to conventional wide supports, while maintaining at least the same or equivalent wearing comfort.

[0076] According to one embodiment, the supports incorporate a spacer fabric. The spacer fabric is a material consisting of two parallel layers of fabric connected by a yarn structure. This construction creates a gap between the two layers of the spacer fabric, resulting in a three-dimensional structure. The resulting cavity allows for good air circulation, thus ensuring good breathability. The cavity also provides cushioning, which enhances comfort and shock absorption. Furthermore, the spacer fabric is lightweight and flexible. The support incorporated into the spacer fabric is also highly elastic. Conventional welded supports, especially those welded ultrasonically, are often not elastic. The elasticity of the spacer fabric allows the support to adapt optimally to the body shape and movements, further increasing wearing comfort.

[0077] Another problem that can be caused by bra straps is costoclavicular syndrome, sometimes called "bra strap syndrome." Costoclavicular syndrome can be caused by tight straps that pinch and cut into the shoulders of the bra wearer. This can contribute to pressure on the shoulders and lead to pain in the neck, shoulders, and upper back. Bra wearers can develop costoclavicular syndrome after wearing bras with tight and narrow straps, such as traditional elastic bands, because the weight of the breast tissue is supported by the straps. The straps of traditional bras, especially those in the form of elastic bands, can dig into the shoulders and press on the collarbone (clavicle) when worn.Over time, red lines and indentations can develop if poorly fitting bras are worn that press on the shoulders.

[0078] Another term for costoclavicular syndrome is thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS), also known as scalene syndrome. Thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS) occurs when the nerves or blood vessels at the thoracic outlet are compressed or irritated.

[0079] The thoracic outlet is an anatomical region in the upper chest through which important nerves and blood vessels pass. This region is located between the clavicle and the first rib and also includes the anterior neck muscles and other structural elements of this area. The clavicle and the first rib form the costoclavicular passage, which is, in other words, the anatomical space between the first rib and the clavicle.

[0080] The thoracic outlet contains the brachial plexus, a network of nerves that supplies the arm and hand. Also located at the thoracic outlet is the subclavian artery (A. subclavia), a major artery that carries blood from the upper chest to the arm. The subclavian vein (V. subclavia) is also part of the thoracic outlet. This vein carries blood from the arm back to the heart. The subclavius muscle is located beneath the collarbone. It pulls the lateral end of the clavicle downward and stabilizes the clavicle at the sternoclavicular joint. This muscle also helps keep the subclavian vein open. The subclavius muscle is innervated by the subclavius nerve, which originates from the brachial plexus. Scarring and shortening of the subclavius muscle can lead to thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS).The subclavius muscle plays an important role in the movement and stabilization of the shoulder girdle and protects the nerves and vessels of the upper thorax.

[0081] If these nerves or blood vessels are compressed at the thoracic outlet, it can lead to thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS), causing symptoms such as pain, numbness, and weakness in the arm. Tight, narrow bra straps can cut into the soft tissue at the shoulders and exert downward pressure on the collarbones. A shearing motion of the collarbone against the first rib narrows the costoclavicular passage and shears the brachial plexus.

[0082] Neurogenic thoracic outlet syndrome (NTOS) is the most common form of TOS and often occurs in women, accounting for over 95 percent of cases. It involves compression or irritation of the brachial plexus. When these nerves are compressed, it can cause pain, weakness, and numbness in the shoulder, arm, and hand. Any activity that requires raising the arms or hands, or prolonged use of them, typically worsens the symptoms.

[0083] Previous solutions for affected individuals include padding, second bra straps, or even old-fashioned, bulky bras. These solutions cannot satisfactorily resolve the problem of TOS.

[0084] Bra strap pads can help alleviate Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS) by relieving pressure on the shoulders, but they do have some drawbacks. Such pads can cause irritation in people with sensitive skin. Wearing them can be uncomfortable in summer or during physical exertion, as they can further dampen the skin. These pads can also cause the bra to fit poorly and feel uncomfortable. Some padding materials can deteriorate or lose their shape over time, further reducing their effectiveness. Additionally, these pads can shift during wear. For example, if the padding material isn't non-slip, it can easily move. The pads themselves can also worsen the bra's fit. Conversely, a poorly fitting bra can cause the pads to shift.During intense movement or physical activity, the pads can shift out of position. If the pads are not securely attached to the bra, they can also shift. Such pads can also show through clothing, especially under summer garments with low necklines or narrow straps, significantly reducing the wearer's silhouette and the overall look of the clothing, thus diminishing their comfort.

[0085] Additional elastic band-shaped straps are offered as another option for relieving TOS. However, these can themselves lead to additional compression in the thoracic outlet area and thus worsen the thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS). The arrangement of the elastic band-shaped straps, as well as the pressure exerted by these additional straps, can exacerbate the condition if they are not, or not sufficiently, adjusted to the wearer's body and the specific bra. If the additional elastic band-shaped straps are too tight or too firm, they can further compress the nerves or blood vessels. It is important that such additional elastic band-shaped straps fit well and do not create unnecessary additional tension. It may therefore be necessary to consult a professional, such as a physiotherapist or orthopedist, to ensure that the additional elastic, band-like straps do not cause any adverse effects. The attachment of a second strap must be done carefully to ensure it sits in a position that does not lead to additional compression or at least significantly impair comfort. Further disadvantages include the fact that some bra designs are not designed to support additional straps, as they require specific structures and attachment points. The bra must be made of robust material that can withstand the additional weight and tension of a second strap without losing its shape or tearing. The requirements for adjustment and the reduced options for suitable bras are a significant limitation for the everyday life of the wearer, as acquiring a suitable bra in this case involves considerable additional effort.

[0086] Another option is old-fashioned, bulky bras. These bras are often heavy and cumbersome, which can lead to discomfort and skin irritation, especially when worn for extended periods. They often have a rigid structure, which can restrict movement and feel uncomfortable when moving or bending. These bras often feature thick straps and stiff underwires, which can cause pressure points and pain on the shoulders, back, and chest, potentially worsening TOS. They are also often less breathable than modern designs, which can lead to increased sweating and skin irritation. Furthermore, they often offer fewer adjustment options, meaning they cannot be adapted to different body shapes and sizes as well as modern bras. Finally, the appearance of these bras can also negatively impact the wearer's comfort.Such bras often show through clothing, which can be undesirable and further impair the wearer's well-being. Therefore, it is not guaranteed that such a bra is truly suitable for alleviating chest outlet syndrome (TOS). Frequently, the restricted freedom of movement reduces the positive support effect and, if the fit is inadequate, can even worsen TOS by exerting additional pressure on the nerves and blood vessels at the chest wall. This option also requires additional effort at the time of purchase to at least minimize the disadvantages and avoid unintentionally exacerbating TOS. In other words, such bras can interfere with the daily life of the wearer and make it difficult or even impossible for them to feel comfortable and secure.

[0087] The elasticity of the spacer fabric ensures that the garment adapts optimally to the body shape and movements, distributing pressure evenly and harmoniously. This further increases wearing comfort and, in the case of Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS), can reliably reduce pressure on the nerves and blood vessels in the costoclavicular passage without additional aids such as padding. In particular, it can alleviate existing TOS or even prevent or at least slow its development.

[0088] According to one embodiment, the spacer fabric exhibits a longitudinal elongation of more than 0.1% and less than 20%. In other words, the support has a certain degree of elasticity compared to a conventional welded support, which has no longitudinal elongation, defined here as an elongation of less than 0.1%, and in particular 0%. This elasticity allows the support to adapt particularly advantageously to the movements of the wearer without compromising its fit.

[0089] According to one embodiment, the spacer fabric has a longitudinal elongation of at least 10%, in particular 10% to 20%, and especially 13% to 15%. The elongation is determined by a tensile test: With a tensile force of 15 Newtons and a clamping length of 200 mm, the material is pulled at a speed of 500 mm / min, and the elongation in the direction of tension, here in the longitudinal direction, is determined. Conventional beams, especially ultrasonically welded beams, are often only slightly or not at all elongated, and thus the feel of the fabric is inelastic. In other words, these conventional welded beams, especially ultrasonically welded beams, show no longitudinal elongation or only very slight elongation in the tensile test. In particular, conventional welded beams, especially ultrasonically welded beams, often do not exhibit longitudinal elongation in order to prevent unintentional opening of the weld seam. However, this significantly reduces wearing comfort.

[0090] The spacer fabric-reinforced strap of the bra according to the invention allows for a reliable weld without compromising wearing comfort. In comparison, conventional band-shaped, elastic straps exhibit a very high elongation value in the tensile test. While these straps offer a distinctly elastic feel, they often fail to maintain their length adjustment. For example, a conventional band-shaped strap achieves an elongation value of 39.49% in the tensile test. Conventional ultrasonically welded straps, which are not elastic, achieve an elongation value of 0% in the tensile test.

[0091] According to one embodiment, the straps are multi-layered. The additional layers can serve as extra padding, further reducing pressure on the shoulders. This creates a soft feel and makes the straps more comfortable and skin-friendly. Multi-layered straps offer additional support and prevent the strap from stretching excessively or losing its shape.

[0092] In one embodiment, the carriers have four layers, in particular a textile layer, an adhesive film, the spacer fabric, and another adhesive film. These layers allow for particularly good structural integrity of the carrier's shape. The layers ensure that the carrier remains stable and retains its shape even after prolonged wear and frequent washing. The various layers help to distribute pressure evenly over a larger area, reducing pressure points and digging in. The layers can also contribute to the carrier's increased resistance to wear and tear and its longer lifespan. Optionally, one layer can be made of or contain a breathable or sweat-absorbing material. This further facilitates moisture wicking and helps keep the skin dry.

[0093] In one embodiment, the straps are multi-layered and ultrasonically welded. This results in a particularly smooth and uniform surface that is even less noticeable under outer clothing, meaning it shows through even less. The ultrasonically welded straps provide a strong and durable bond between the layers, improving structural integrity and support. In other words, this further optimizes the strap's shape retention. This prevents, for example, the layers from separating, and the straps can retain their shape even after frequent wear and washing.

[0094] According to one embodiment, the layers of the support are bonded together. This creates a strong and permanent bond that reduces or even prevents the layers from separating due to wear and washing. This further optimizes the structural integrity of the support and improves its durability. In addition, the layers retain their shape better, even after repeated wear and washing. Furthermore, a bonded structure can distribute pressure evenly and further enhance wearing comfort. Bonding allows the flexibility and elasticity of the material to be restricted in a predetermined way. For example, by selectively bonding predetermined areas of the support, the elasticity of the support material can be reduced to a desired level, further optimizing the support in terms of comfort and support.

[0095] According to one embodiment, the carrier layer structure prior to ultrasonic welding comprises, in the following order from a lower ultrasonic probe to an upper ultrasonic probe, a carrier paper, an adhesive film, in particular a bemica adhesive film, the spacer fabric, another adhesive film, in particular another bemica adhesive film, a main material with its right-hand side facing upwards, and another main material with its left-hand side facing upwards. "Upwards" in this context means that the right-hand or left-hand side of the respective main material faces an upper ultrasonic sonotrode. The right-hand side of the main material, in this context, refers to the outer surface of the material, for example, the fabric, which is visibly arranged on the outside of the finished carrier. The right-hand side is often smooth, and / or glossy, and / or displays the actual pattern of the main material. In this context, the reverse side of the main material refers to the inside or back of the main material, for example, the fabric. The reverse side is not visible on the finished garment. In knitted fabrics, the reverse side may be indicated by the visible wrong sides of the stitches.

[0096] The carrier is welded between the two ultrasonic tools of the upper and lower ultrasonic sonotrodes. The lower ultrasonic sonotrode (also called the lower transducer) is the stationary part of the ultrasonic tool. The carrier, which has not yet been welded, rests on this lower ultrasonic sonotrode. The lower ultrasonic sonotrode has a surface shaped to hold the carrier in position and ensure an even distribution of the sound waves. The upper ultrasonic sonotrode (also called the upper transducer) is the moving part of the ultrasonic tool, which is pressed down onto the carrier from above. The upper ultrasonic sonotrode emits ultrasonic waves that pass through the layers of the carrier and weld them together. The layers of the carrier are arranged on the lower ultrasonic sonotrode in the following order. The backing paper lies directly on the surface of the lower ultrasonic sonotrode. This backing paper protects the sonotrode's surface from direct contact with the material being welded, thus preventing damage or wear. Additionally, the backing paper ensures even heat distribution for a consistent weld seam and a strong weld joint. An adhesive film is applied to the backing paper. This film secures the spacer fabric in place, preventing it from shifting during welding. The adhesive film can also provide additional stability to the carrier and prevent the layers from separating after welding.

[0097] Another adhesive film is applied to the spacer fabric. These adhesive films serve to ensure a strong bond between the layers of the substrate by enabling uniform adhesion.

[0098] The right side of the main material is positioned on the adhesive film such that, viewed from the lower ultrasound sonotrode, it rests on top. The left side of the remaining main material lies as the uppermost layer on the side of the carrier facing the upper ultrasound sonotrode.

[0099] The carrier paper, adhesive films, and spacer fabric form the lamination area. This lamination area is positioned on the lower ultrasonic sonotrode and has no direct contact with the upper ultrasonic sonotrode. The surface of the lower ultrasonic sonotrode is recessed in such a way that, when the outer edges of the carrier, and especially the layers of the carrier, are welded, the uppermost layer of the main material has additional lateral length before and during ultrasonic welding. After welding, the main material is folded over the lamination with its left side facing upwards. The right side of the main material is then visible from above. During final fixation, the lower main material, which has this additional length, wraps around all layers.

[0100] The weld seam of the beam, in other words the weld seam of the welded outer edge of the beam, is visible on the inside of the beam. No weld seam is visible on the outside of the beam. The beam thus has a clean appearance and optimized weld durability.

[0101] According to one embodiment, the bra has two side panels. The side panels incorporate the fastening elements. The side panels engage the cups laterally, specifically the outer circumference of each cup. The side panels are designed to horizontally encircle the chest of a person wearing the bra.

[0102] In one embodiment, the side panels are sewn with a reversed seam. This allows the side panels to have fewer seams, which is advantageous from a structural point of view. This further reduces the feeling of a foreign object in the fabric. When worn, the side panels press less against clothing at the points where they attach to the cups. The reversed seam has the advantage that the edges are folded inwards. In other words, the seam is hidden, and the surface is smoother compared to conventional bras.

[0103] According to one embodiment, the side panels advantageously feature a bound elastic band. A bound elastic band is understood to be an elastic band encased in a covering material. This covering material can consist of or contain textile fibers such as polyester, cotton, or other synthetic fibers and fiber blends. The bound elastic band offers flexibility and elasticity, which is particularly important for garments that must adapt to the wearer's movements. This results in additional support and increased wearing comfort of the bra according to the invention. The bound elastic band reinforces the seam and prevents fraying of the fabric edges, thereby increasing the bra's durability. The elastic seam conforms even better to the body and offers even greater wearing comfort. The coated elastic cord, due to its encasement, does not lie directly on the skin. Uncoated elastic cords are often perceived as sharp-edged when worn, a problem reliably avoided with the coated cord. Additionally, the elastic cord can be seamlessly processed. This further reduces or eliminates chafing.

[0104] The fastening components expediently feature a resealable closure, in particular with hooks and eyes. The closure is expediently positioned centrally with respect to the respective side panel, so that, when in use, the closure is located on the back of the wearer.

[0105] In one design, the bra has an outer material. This outer material can be, for example, microfiber. This ensures a particularly high level of comfort. The material can also be chosen according to aesthetic preferences and can, for example, be lace. Lace is a fabric with an openwork structure. Due to its openwork structure, lace is lightweight and breathable, and therefore comfortable to wear.

[0108] The figures are merely schematic and not to scale. The same reference numerals designate identical or equivalent features in the various figures. DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES

[0109] The Fig. 1a and Fig. Figure 1b shows different views of the bra according to the invention 1.

[0110] The bra 1 has two cups 3. Each of the two cups 3 has an underwire channel 2. An underwire 6 is arranged in each underwire channel 2. The underwire 6 is in Fig. 6a shown in more detail. The bracket 6 has an inclination angle α of 30 to 75 degrees. The inclination angle α can, for example, be an angle in the range of 40 to 50 degrees. For example, the inclination angle α can be 45 degrees (in Fig. (shown in 6a). The ironing channel 2 is tubular in shape.

[0111] Ironing channel 2 has a support yarn and a fusible yarn. The fusible yarn contains, for example, thermoplastic fibers. Ironing channel 2 is stretchable in its longitudinal direction. In other words, ironing channel 2 is stretchable along its longitudinal axis. Stretchable here means that the material—in other words, the fabric—of ironing channel 2, in its closed, i.e., tubular, form, exhibits a compression of 5 to 10% and a stability of -3.0% or less. The compression of the material refers to how much the material shortens when subjected to compression shrinkage. A compression of 5 to 10% can be visualized as follows: starting with a material or fabric that is 100 cm long, after compression a material or fabric that is 90 to 95 cm long is obtained. The stability of the material or fabric defines how much the material shrinks after compression during a predefined washing process. A stability value of -3.0% means that after washing, a material compressed to 100 cm shrinks to 97 cm. Additionally or alternatively, the material can contain or consist of elastic fibers, such as Lycra. This allows the longitudinal stretch of the material to be predetermined. The stretch of the material along the longitudinal axis of the underwire channel 2 ensures that the fabric lies flat and reliably prevents creasing. This is particularly advantageous when adapting to bends, such as the curvature of the underwire channel 2, to accommodate the shape of the underwire 6. The underwire channel 2 ensures optimal adaptation to the wearer's breast shape.

[0112] The bra 1 has two side panels 5 which attach laterally to the cups 3. The side panels 5 are sewn together with a reversed seam. The side panels 5 have fastening elements 7. The fastening elements 7 expediently have a resealable closure, in particular with hooks and eyes (not shown). The closure is expediently positioned centrally with respect to each side panel 5, so that the closure is located on the back of the wearer when in use.

[0113] The bra 1 has two straps 4. The straps 4 are ergonomically designed and tapered. The tapered shape of the straps 4 adapts well to the natural contours of the shoulder and upper back. This ensures a more even distribution of pressure and reduces the risk of pressure points.

[0114] The cups 3 are flattened and tapered in the area of the outer rim 8, particularly along the outer circumference 12 of the cup 3. This further reduces the appearance of the bra 1 showing through or creating marks under clothing. The bra 1 is thus virtually invisible under clothing. The flattened and / or tapered outer rim 8 allows for thinner underwires 6. This results in increased comfort and further reduces the appearance of the bra under clothing.

[0115] Fig. Figures 2a to 2c show a view of the bra 1 according to the invention. Fig. Figure 2a shows a cup 3 from the inside of the bra 1. The cup 3 has the underwire channel 2 and an underwire 6 arranged in the underwire channel 2. The underwire channel 2 is essentially non-stretchable in the width direction. In other words, the stretching of the material or fabric preferably in the width direction, for example due to compression shrinkage, remains essentially unchanged. This has the advantage that the material of the underwire channel 2 retains its width and does not deform. This is particularly advantageous for the fit of the underwire channel 2 and allows it to remain reliably flat and smooth. The consistent width of the material also makes it easier to work with; sewing and cutting are further simplified because the dimensions remain constant in the width direction and the material does not distort during processing.Ironing channel 2, which does not stretch in the width direction, is also less prone to creasing. Without stretching in the width direction, the tension is distributed evenly, which further increases the durability and longevity of ironing channel 2.

[0116] The underwire channel 2 is formed from a single piece of woven tubing. The cup 3 is flattened and tapered in the area of the outer rim 12, particularly the lower outer rim 12. Tapered means that the thickness of the outer rim 8 of the cup 3 gradually decreases towards the edge 22. This ensures a smoother transition, further improving flexibility and thus wearing comfort.

[0117] The material of cup 3 gradually or steadily thins in the area of the outer rim 8. This also results in a smoother edge 22. In other words, the thickness of the rim gradually decreases towards edge 22 of the outer rim 8. This gradual tapering distributes pressure evenly, further reducing pressure points and discomfort. The gradual reduction in thickness also reduces pressure on the skin, leading to greater comfort. A tapered outer rim creates a smoother silhouette under clothing, as the rim is even less noticeable and adapts even better to the body's shape. The tapered outer rim facilitates adaptation to the body's natural contours, resulting in an optimized fit and even greater freedom of movement.

[0118] Fig. Figure 2b shows in particular the strap 4 of the bra 1. The strap 4 is ergonomically designed. The strap 4 has a particularly advantageous conical shape. The strap 4 is ultrasonically welded along its outer edges 11, in other words, along its outer edges. The strap 4 is multi-layered and incorporates a spacer fabric.

[0119] Fig. Figure 2c shows, in particular, the inside view of cup 3. Cup 3 is padded and has a graduated volume. This design achieves an optimized volume adapted to different cup sizes. In other words, this results in a stronger push-up effect in smaller sizes and less padding in larger sizes. This further reduces the appearance of bra 1 under clothing. The push-up effect refers to the functionality of bra 1, where the shape and padding of the cups lift and push the wearer's breasts inwards. The breasts are thus supported from below and from the sides, and pushed upwards. Cups 3 are laminated with polyester, specifically recycled polyester. Polyester is a robust, lightweight material. It is durable and shows little wear.Polyester is resistant to stretching and loss of shape, thus advantageously ensuring the shape of cup size 3.

[0120] Cup size 3 can be multi-layered, particularly four-layered. In other words, the cup has several layers, specifically four layers. This allows cup size 3 to be constructed without darts, resulting in a smooth, seamless surface. This further reduces the likelihood of the cup showing through or creating marks under clothing. The absence of darts also reduces friction against the skin, thus increasing comfort. The lack of darts also reduces potential tear points in the cup size 3 material, resulting in good durability. Additionally, each layer can be selected according to specific properties to optimize the support, shape, and softness of the cup size 3. The cup can thus be optimally designed for a desired fit and breast support. The layers are bonded together at the outer edge. The outer rim 8 is specifically flattened and / or tapered. Additionally or alternatively, the outer rim 8 can be 10% to 45% thinner than a conventional outer rim 10 (in ). Fig. (4 shown). The bonded outer edge 8 requires no seams, thus enabling a smooth, seamless surface. This surface shows through clothing less than under clothing. The absence of seams increases comfort at the cup edge. As a result, the bra has even fewer areas that can chafe against the skin.

[0121] Fig. 3 a and Fig. Figure 3b shows the schematic structure of the ironing channel 2 according to one embodiment in comparison to a conventional ironing channel 17. The ironing channel 2 according to the invention is tubular. Tubular, in the sense of the invention, is an ironing channel 2 that has the shape of a tube or a tube. The ironing channel 2 is formed in one piece. In other words, the tubular or tube shape is a hollow structure. The tubular ironing channel 2 is flattened when arranged against the cup 3. In other words, the tubular ironing channel 2 has a flat structure after being arranged against the cup 3. This ensures that the ironing channel 6 is held securely and comfortably in its position. The pressure of the ironing channel 6 with a rectangular cross-section and an angle of inclination α of, for example, 45 degrees (in Fig. (as shown in Figure 6a) is also distributed more evenly compared to the conventional design of the underwire channel 17. Furthermore, the tubular underwire channel 2 allows for an even more optimized fit. The tubular underwire channel 2 also contributes to the good durability of the bra 1.

[0122] A conventional underwire channel 17 has a multi-layered structure. The conventional underwire channel 17 has an outer band 15, which can be, for example, an elastic fabric strip or elastic band 15. The outer band 15 is reinforced with a first band 16 as an intermediate layer. The conventional underwire 19, according to the prior art, is arranged on the first band 16. The underwire 19 is covered by a second band 18 as an intermediate layer. The outer band 15 is folded and sewn onto the respective standard cup 9 of a conventional bra. The intermediate layers are usually made of knitted jersey fabric for greater underwire comfort. The conventional structure of an underwire channel 17 is thicker compared to the underwire channel 2 according to the invention and therefore shows through more under outer garments.Furthermore, the conventional temple channel 17 is stiffer and less flexible than the temple channel 2 according to the invention, resulting in a noticeable foreign body sensation when worn. The conventional temple 19, for example, is a temple with a round cross-section (in . Fig. 3b shown schematically) or a stirrup 19 with a rectangular cross-section (as in Fig. 6b shown).

[0123] The ironing channel 2 according to the invention is lighter and thinner than a conventional ironing channel 19, without loss of function.

[0124] Fig. Figure 4 shows the cups 3 of the bra 1 according to the invention in a further embodiment in comparison with a cup of a bra according to the prior art (right in Fig. 4) The cup 3 of the bra 1 according to the invention is padded and has multiple layers, for example, four layers. The outer rim 8 of the cup 3 is 30% thinner than the outer rim 10 of the predetermined standard cup 9. The cup 3 is laminated with polyester, in particular recycled polyester. The cup 3 is padded and has a graded volume. The outer rim 8 of the cup 3 is 10% to 45% thinner than the predetermined first and second sections of the outer rim 10 of the predetermined standard cup 9. The outer rim 8 can have a 10% to 45% reduced thickness. The reduction in thickness means that the cup 3 is 10% to 45% thinner in a predetermined area of the outer rim than the predetermined standard cup 9. For example, the cup has a tapered outer rim, whereas the outer rim 10 of the standard cup 8 has a thickness of, for example, 4.5 mm in a predetermined first area 20.The outer rim 10 of the standard basket 9 gradually decreases to a predetermined second region 21, which is selected closer to the edge 22 of the outer rim 10, wherein the standard basket 9 has a thickness of 3.5 mm in this second predetermined region 21. In a third predetermined region 48, which is selected in the region of the edge 49, the standard basket 9 has, for example, a thickness of 1.5 mm. The basket 3 according to the invention, with a thickness reduced by 10% to 45%, has a thickness of, for example, 4.05 mm to 2 mm, for example, 3 mm in the first predetermined region 20, and, for example, a thickness of 3.15 mm to 1.6 mm, for example, 2 mm in the second predetermined region 21, and a thickness of 1.35 mm to 0.825 mm, for example, 0.9 mm in the third predetermined region 48 in the region of the edge 49.

[0125] The layers of the outer edge 8 are bonded together. This eliminates the need for seams, resulting in a smooth, seamless surface. This surface is less likely to show through clothing. The absence of seams also increases comfort at the cup edge. As a result, the bra 1 has even fewer areas that can chafe against the skin.

[0126] The conventional basket 9 (left in Fig. 4) is padded and multi-layered, for example, four-layered. In conventional bras, a firm and strong underwire 19 is necessary to lift the breasts and provide extra support, especially to achieve a lifting effect. Additionally, conventional bras, particularly those with a push-up effect, are often heavily padded to achieve this lifting effect. In larger sizes, the conventional cup 9 with heavy padding acts like a cushion under outer clothing, which can lead to an unnaturally stiff silhouette for the wearer.

[0127] Fig. Figure 5a shows the support 4 according to one embodiment. The support 4 is conically shaped and multi-layered. The support 4 is ultrasonically welded. The support 4 is particularly advantageously ultrasonically welded along the outer edges 11. Welding in this context means that two or more materials are permanently and materially bonded together by heating, melting, pressing together under pressure, and cooling the two or more materials. In the context of the invention, ultrasonically welded means that two or more materials are permanently and materially bonded together by high-frequency sound waves (ultrasound). The sound waves generate vibrations in the materials, pressing them together. These vibrations cause friction, which generates heat and melts the materials at the contact points.Once the materials have melted, they are held together under pressure until they cool, forming a strong, permanent bond. No additives are necessary for ultrasonic welding, as the bond is created solely through sound waves and pressure. Ultrasonic welding leaves no residue. This is particularly advantageous for bras 1, which are worn directly against the skin. The resulting weld is seamless, meaning no seam is visible under clothing. Ergonomic straps 4, in particular, are even less bulky under clothing because no unevenness is created. The seamless strap 4 also avoids pressure points that can occur along a seam during wear. In other words, the (ultrasonically) welded strap 4 can distribute pressure evenly over a large, seamless area, reducing chafing and pressure points. The (ultrasonic) welded support 4 is resistant to wear and retains its shape and function over a long period. The ultrasonically welded support 4 along the outer edges 11 allows for a thinner support 4 while maintaining the same level of wearing comfort and achieves at least the same or equivalent wearing comfort compared to conventional wide support structures, especially welded support structures.

[0128] The support 4 has the spacer fabric 28 (in Fig. 5b and Fig. (5c shown). The spacer fabric 28 is a material consisting of two parallel layers of fabric connected by a thread structure. This construction creates a gap between the two layers of the spacer fabric 28, resulting in a three-dimensional structure. The resulting cavity allows for good air circulation, thus ensuring good breathability. The cavity also provides cushioning, which ensures comfort and shock absorption. The spacer fabric 28 is also lightweight and flexible. The support 4, which incorporates the spacer fabric 28, is also highly elastic. Conventional welded support straps, especially those welded ultrasonically, are often not elastic. The elasticity of the spacer fabric 28 ensures that the support 4 adapts optimally to the body shape and movements, further enhancing wearing comfort.

[0129] The spacer fabric 28 advantageously has a longitudinal elongation of at least 10%, particularly 10% to 20%, and especially 13% to 15%. The elongation is determined according to a tensile test: With a tensile force of 15 Newtons and a clamping length of 200 mm, the material is pulled at a speed of 500 mm / min and the elongation in the direction of tension, here in the longitudinal direction, is determined. Conventional welded beams (not shown), especially ultrasonically welded beams, are often only slightly or not at all elongated, and thus the feel of the fabric is inelastic. In other words, these conventional welded beams, especially ultrasonically welded beams, show no elongation in the longitudinal direction or only very slight elongation in the tensile test.In particular, conventional welded carriers, especially those welded ultrasonically (not shown), often lack longitudinal elasticity to prevent unintentional opening of the weld seam. However, this significantly reduces wearing comfort. The spacer fabric 28 (in . Fig. 5b and Fig. The straps shown in Figure 5c (4) allow for a reliable weld without compromising comfort. In comparison, conventional elastic straps (43) exhibit a very high elasticity value in the tensile test. While these conventional elastic straps (43) offer a distinctly elastic feel, they often fail to maintain their length adjustment. This can lead to a reduction or loss of support if the elastic band is too stretchy and therefore insufficient. Overly elastic conventional elastic straps (43) can easily slip off the shoulders, resulting in significantly reduced comfort and the need for constant readjustment. Such an elastic strap (43) can also ride up the back, leading to a poor fit and consequently reduced comfort.A band that is too elastic can also cut into the skin and thus reduce wearing comfort.

[0130] For example, a conventional tape-shaped support 43 achieves an elongation value of 39.49% in the tensile test. Conventional ultrasonically welded supports (not shown), which are not elongable, achieve an elongation value of 0.0% - 0.1% in the tensile test.

[0131] The elasticity of the spacer fabric ensures that the support belt adapts optimally to the body shape and movements of the wearer, distributing pressure evenly and harmoniously.

[0132] Fig. Figure 5b shows a schematic cross-section of the layer structure of the carrier before ultrasonic welding. A layer structure of the carrier 4 before ultrasonic welding comprises, in the sequence from a lower ultrasonic probe 30b to an upper ultrasonic probe 30a of an ultrasonic tool 30, a carrier paper 29, an adhesive film 27, in particular a bemica adhesive film, the spacer fabric 28, another adhesive film 27, in particular another bemica adhesive film, a main material with its right-hand side 26 facing upwards, and another main material with its left-hand side 25 facing upwards. In this context, "upwards" means that the right-hand or left-hand side of the respective main material 25, 26 faces an upper ultrasonic sonotrode 30a.In this context, the right side of the main material 26 refers to the outer side of the material, for example, the fabric, which is visible on the outside of the finished garment. The right side is often smooth, and / or glossy, and / or displays the actual pattern of the main material. The wrong side of the main material 25 refers to the inner or reverse side of the main material, for example, the fabric. The wrong side is not visible in the finished garment. In the case of knitted fabrics, the wrong side may be characterized by the visible reverse sides of the stitches.

[0133] The carrier 4 is welded between the two ultrasonic tools 30a,b, the upper ultrasonic sonotrode 30a and the lower ultrasonic sonotrode 30b. The lower ultrasonic sonotrode 30b (also called the lower transducer) is the stationary part of the ultrasonic tool 30. The carrier 4, which has not yet been welded, rests on this lower ultrasonic sonotrode 30b. The lower ultrasonic sonotrode 30b has a surface shaped such that it holds the carrier 4 in position and ensures a uniform distribution of the sound waves. The upper ultrasonic sonotrode 30a (also called the upper transducer) is the movable part of the ultrasonic tool 30, which is pressed down onto the carrier 4 from above (indicated by arrows P). The upper ultrasonic sonotrode 30a emits ultrasonic waves that pass through the layers of the carrier 4 and weld the layers together. The layers of the carrier 4 are arranged in the following order on the lower ultrasonic sonotrode 30b. A carrier paper 29 lies directly on the surface of the lower ultrasonic sonotrode 30b. The carrier paper 29 protects the surface of the ultrasonic sonotrode 30b from direct contact with the material being welded, thus preventing damage or wear of the ultrasonic sonotrode 30b. Additionally, the carrier paper 29 ensures uniform heat distribution to achieve a consistent weld seam and a good weld joint. An adhesive film 27, in particular a bemium adhesive film, is arranged on the carrier paper 29. This adhesive film 27 serves to fix the spacer fabric 28 lying on it in place, so that the spacer fabric 28 does not slip during welding. The adhesive film 27 can also provide the carrier 4 with additional stability and prevent the layers of the carrier 4 from separating after welding.A further adhesive film 27 is arranged on the spacer fabric 28. The adhesive films 27 thus serve to ensure the formation of a strong bond between the layers of the carrier 4 by enabling uniform adhesion.

[0134] The right side of the main material 26 is arranged on the adhesive film 27 such that, viewed from the lower ultrasound sonotrode 30b, the right side of the material 26 rests on top. The left side of the main material 25 lies as the uppermost layer on the side of the carrier 4 facing the upper ultrasound sonotrode 30a.

[0135] The carrier paper 29, the adhesive films 27, and the spacer fabric 28 form the lamination area 31. The lamination area 31 is thus arranged on the lower ultrasonic sonotrode 30b and has no direct contact with the upper ultrasonic sonotrode 30a. The surface of the lower ultrasonic sonotrode 30b is recessed such that when the outer edges 11 of the carrier 4, in particular the layers of the carrier 4, are welded, an additional lateral length is created in the upper main material 25. After welding, the main material is folded over the lamination with its left side 25 facing upwards. Subsequently, only the main material with its right side 26 is visible from above. During final fixation, the lower main material 25, which has the additional length, wraps around all layers. This is shown schematically in Fig. 5c is shown.

[0136] Fig. 5d and Fig. 5e show the interior view 32 ( Fig. 5d) and the exterior view 34 ( Fig. 5e) of the beam 4 with the weld seam 33 of the welded outer edge 11 of the beam 4. Fig. Figure 5e shows the view of the finished beam 4 in exterior view 34. No seams are visible in exterior view 34 of the finished beam 4. In interior view 32 of the Fig. In 5d, the weld seam 33 is visible as a structure in the area of the outer edge 11. The support 4 thus has a clean appearance and optimized durability of the weld seam 33.

[0137] Fig. Figure 6a shows the bracket 6 according to an exemplary embodiment. The bracket 6 is, for example, made of a lightweight, rust-free stainless steel. The bracket 6 has a rectangular cross-section and is beveled at an angle α of 45 degrees. In other words, the inner edge 24 of the bracket is bent at an angle α of 45 degrees to a horizontal axis X of the bracket 6. The horizontal axis X thus corresponds to the abscissa X of a Cartesian coordinate system. Visually, the outer edge 23 of the bracket 6 lies on the horizontal axis X, or, more precisely, on a horizontal surface. The horizontal surface is a plane spanned in the plane of the X-axis. The inner edge 23 is bent upwards at an angle α of 45 degrees to the horizontal surface. In this context, "top" means that the inner edge 24 is bent away from the surface spanned in the plane of the X-axis in the direction of the positive Y-axis in a Cartesian coordinate system. This allows the stirrup 6 to ergonomically adapt to the shape of the wearer's body.

[0138] Fig. Figure 6b shows a conventional stirrup with a rectangular cross-section, where both the outer edge 23 and the inner edge 24 lie on the horizontal surface, in other words, the horizontal axis X; in other words, neither the inner edge 24 nor the outer edge 23 has an angle of inclination to the horizontal axis X. In other words, in the Cartesian coordinate system, the inner edge 24 is not bent away from the surface spanned in the plane of the X-axis in the direction of the positive Y-axis, but lies flat in the horizontal surface.

[0139] Fig. 7a and Fig. Figure 7b shows the bra 1 according to the invention in the form of a balconette bra in various views. The respective underwire channel 2 is arranged on the outside of the associated cup 3, in particular sewn on. The bra 1 has an outer material, for example lace. The outer edge 8 of the outer circumference 12 of the cups 3 is 30% thinner than the conventional outer edge 10 (in Fig. (shown in Figure 4). The cup 3 is not connected to the upper material at the upper outer circumference 12 of the cup 3. The straps 4 are advantageously ergonomically shaped.

[0140] Lace is often used for its aesthetic appeal, but its openwork structure does not visually reduce the visibility of underwire channels, for example, causing the underwire channels to show through and be clearly visible beneath the lace. The bra 1 according to the invention allows the underwire channels 2 to be positioned on the outside of the cup, even if the cup is covered with lace.
