Provided are a semiconductor device including a FinFET having a metal gate electrode and a fabricating method thereof. The semiconductor device includes: an active area formed in a semiconductor substrate and protruding from a surface of the semiconductor substrate; a fin including first and second protrusions formed of a surface of the active area and parallel with each other based on a central trench formed in the active area and using upper surfaces and sides of the first and second protrusions as a channel area; a gate insulating layer formed on the active area including the fin; a metal gate electrode formed on the gate insulating layer; a gate spacer formed on a sidewall of the metal gate electrode; and a source and a drain formed in the active area beside both sides of the metal gate electrode. Here, the metal gate electrode comprises a barrier layer contacting the gate spacer and the gate insulating layer and a metal layer formed on the barrier layer.

The present invention, in the preferred embodiment, is a surgery recovery brassiere which resolves many of the problems faced by women who have undergone breast surgery and particularly, mastectomy. The present invention comprises front panels, prosthesis panels, rear panels, torso band, straps, drain tube apertures and fluid collection storage pouch.More specifically, two front panels each comprise a cup portion and a conforming portion. The prosthesis panels are attached to the rear facing of the cup portion of the front panel to form enclosed pockets to hold one or two prosthesis. Each of the two rear panels are joined at one end to the front panels and extend to meet the opposing rear panel at a back closure. The free end of each of the front panels meet to form a front closure. Straps extend from the top of the front panel to the top of the adjacent rear panel. The torso band extends around the lower edge of the surgery recovery brassiere to form an almost continuous strip of material along the lower edge of the front and rear panels.The surgery recovery brassiere further accommodates post-operative surgical drainage systems composed of one or more drain tubes and associated fluid collection bulbs. The position of drainage tube apertures, generally located proximate to the joint between the front and rear panels, allow drainage tubes to protrude from the chest wall, through the apertures and into the collection storage pouch. Tab closures allow the wearer to secure the drainage tubes within the aperture to further reduce movement of the tubes and disturbance of the drainage system. The storage pouch provides pockets with elastic top entry so that collection bulbs are within easy, convenient reach for emptying lymphatic fluids and other waste materials. The upper edge of the storage pouch releasably attaches to the torso band with a hook-and-loop fastener system.

The present invention provides a breastshield for use in a breastpumping system for expressing milk, the breastshield being of such a construction that substantially limits the amount of air between the breast/nipple and the breastshield surrounding the breast/nipple, and most preferably virtually eliminates any air at least in the area of the breast and nipple. In some embodiments, any air in the breastpumping system is substantially eliminated. With the amount of air limited, the mechanism used for generating the pressure difference in the breastshield (e.g., vacuum or negative pressure), such as a diaphragm pump, does not need to do as much work. Less energy is required for the expression of milk, and thus the size of pump used can be decreased, thereby reducing the overall cost of the device.

A breathable and moisture permeable bra that is stylish, provides adequate support and is comfortable to wear is provided. Materials, such as wicking materials, for use in the bra, as well as other active wear, are also provided. The brassiere may include breast-supporting pads having a pad component including a perforated, molded foam cup encased by an inner and a first outer cloth layers and a second outer cloth attached to the outside of the pad component. The cloths may include materials that are breathable and may have wicking properties. In addition to the pad, the brassiere may include a wicking layer adapted to lie adjacent a wearer's skin to pull moisture away from the skin. The brassiere may also include an outer layer adapted to lie most distal the user's skin, that may provide an aesthetically pleasing exterior of the brassiere.

An apparatus and method for determination of change in volume of a body part or body organ on a real-time basis. In a breastfeeding application, an inflatable cuff is positioned on a nursing breast and allows direct access to the nipple by the breastfeeding infant. The inflatable cuff includes an outer shell portion and an inner inflatable bladder. The pressure in the bladder is monitored regularly by a pressure sensor, during a breastfeeding session. When the pressure drops below a preselected pressure, a controller directs a pump to pump air into the inflatable bladder to maintain the preselected pressure. The volume of added air is monitored during the breastfeeding session. Various calibrations are used to correlate the amount of added air, to the volume of breast milk withdrawn from the breast. The volume of breast milk withdrawn during breastfeeding is calculated and displayed throughout the breastfeeding session.

A device that supports a breast pump in a “hands-free” manner is disclosed. The device includes a cover with an opening and strap that connects the cover to an article of clothing such as a nursing bra. When connected, the device securely orients a breast shield of a breast pump over the breast of a user.

A nursing bra comprised of two cups with an outer pocket/flap in each cup for holding a thin circular heating/cooling device in place. This pocket is a full piece of fabric with an opening at the upper center portion of the garment that holds the heating/cooling device in place. The heating/cooling device provides relief from engorgement, plugged ducts, mastitis and other general nursing pain. There is also a rear panel comprised of two cups with openings in each cup for nursing a baby. The front and rear panel coexist, forming a supportive and comfortable bra. Articles of apparel for providing improved supportive features and slimming effects to the body are provided, the articles of apparel including supportive reinforced fabric placed in specific regions of the apparel. The supportive reinforced fabric may be ‘hidden’ (e.g., by being included in an inner liner of the apparel), or may be included directly in an outer “exterior” layer of the apparel itself. The supportive reinforced fabric includes a reinforced mesh-like fabric which is stretchable and breathable, yet has highly resilient and supportive properties. Exemplary materials from which such reinforced lining may be made include spandex, Lycra and any fiber composites incorporating elasticized and/or resilient properties.

Reusable adhesive body apparel is disclosed. The reusable adhesive body apparel includes a decorative component and an adhesive component coupled to the decorative component. The adhesive component is formed of a material that permits the apparel to be reused multiple times. In one configuration, the apparel includes an adhesive tape with a decorative image provided on a non-adhesive surface of the tape, and a gel coupled to the adhesive surface of the tape. In another configuration, the apparel includes a decorative component with an uneven surface topography, and an adhesive gel. The apparel may be used for any suitable purpose, for example, the apparel may be used as a breast cover, a bathing suit, a costume, or a tattoo.

A swimsuit comprising an inner compression layer attached to an outer layer in a free floating manner is provided. The inner compression layer shapes, contours and slims the wearer's body, whereas the outer layer provides an aesthetically pleasing design. It is further contemplated that the outer layer provides an additional shaping, contouring and slimming function in addition to the inner compression layer. Wearable breast pumps are provided which utilize compression to enhance milk expression. The breast milk expression systems herein can allow breastfeeding users to obtain milk discreetly and comfortably in the presence of others. These systems compress the breast at one or more locations, such as at a base of a breast and/or along inferior and lateral sides of a breast, to stimulate milk expression. Various components and methods for expressing milk can facilitate milk output. For example, vacuum can be used in conjunction with compression. For another example, one or more temperature sensitive components can be utilized to improve milk secretion. In some embodiments, milk can be collected in a sterile custom storage container located around or beneath the breasts to facilitate wearability. After expression is complete, a quick-release valve can be used to detach the storage container from the pump and can prevent leaks.

At least one back strap can traverse from outboard sides of the brassiere cups to form a body-encircling portion by use of a front-closure or rear-closure fastening arrangement. The fastening arrangement can have first and second jaw panels, a tongue panel, and hook and loop material for selectively retaining the first and second jaw panels relative to the tongue panel. This invention relates generally to a bra or tank that has three layers on the chest that allow the wearer to comfortably breast feed or pump milk hands-free. Specifically, the tank or bra has three detachable layers over the breast where the outer layer is a solid layer, the inner layer has two openings over the nipple that are equipped to receive the funnels of a breast pumping apparatus and hold them to the breast without the wearer holding them, and an inner layer that has a large opening for the breast so that the wearer may breast feed an infant.

An athletic bra having a unitary, contiguous framework made of engineered laminated material and molded cups provides lightweight, breathable support and motion control. The framework comprises stretch, non-stretch and reinforcement zones in different areas of the bra and includes an integrated chest band, shoulder straps and a front exoskeleton onto which the molded cups are attached. The exoskeleton comprises an adjustable compression strap extending across the front and downward to a front central point of the chest band. The compression band provides adjustable compression and support and full separation of the breasts. The molded cups and exoskeleton achieve both encapsulation of each breast and compression of the breasts for motion control. The adjustment areas of the compression strap, the shoulder straps, and the back closure area provided with a robust hook which is selectively received into a series of adjustment slots or aligned perforations.
