Abstract

Flexible flood protection for buildings and their access points such as windows, doors, and garages, regardless of their dimensions, using inflatable, flexible, tubular plastic cushions. These cushions are glued on top of each other and terminated on the wall side with semicircular, solid rubber strands (see explanatory sketches 1 and 2). This special arrangement of the inflatable, tubular plastic cushions, with their special internal cell structure, prevents the individual, glued-on air cushion tubes from collapsing and prevents water from penetrating due to possible external damage (e.g., from floating debris). Furthermore, this special construction ensures additional stability for the entire air cushion structure.

Description

[0001] The utility model protection applied for is for an effective and reusable flood protection device. This flood protection device consists of inflatable cushions. These cushions are made of materials used in the manufacture of high-performance inflatable boats.

[0002] The pillow consists of a cellular structure to ensure high stability.

[0003] If a cushion cell is damaged by debris, the cushion remains intact due to its cellular structure.

[0004] The dimensions correspond to the respective window and door sizes for which they are designed. At the top edge of each cushion is a valve through which the cushion is inflated using a battery-powered compressor.

[0005] The resulting excess pressure presses the cushion into the intended shape - such as window or door openings - and thus prevents the entry of water, mud or debris.

[0006] These cushions are quick and easy to install.

[0007] Larger openings, such as garage doors, are sealed with extendable frames placed between the cushions.

[0008] This protection is designed so that a maximum of 2 people are required for installation.

[0009] The top side is attached using an adhesive strip. The cushion then rolls out from this strip and can be inflated.

[0010] The air pressure presses the cushion into the corresponding opening.

[0011] The material is very durable, non-flammable and resistant to oils and other liquids.

[0012] When dismantling, only the air is released and a quick cleaning is necessary.

[0013] Should water ingress occur, the amount of water entering the cushions is very minimal and can be remedied immediately. Potential water ingress always depends on how the homeowner installs these cushions and the clear dimensions they have provided.

[0014] The production is carried out according to the customer's specifications including tolerances of the homeowner

[0015] Such cushions eliminate the need for the usual use of sandbags, boards,

[0016] Plates and other water protection materials that can only be removed with considerable effort in an emergency

[0017] Can or must be installed. List of reference symbols 1 solid rubber strands 2 Hose material 3 air chambers 4 Support surface glued

Claims

[1] Flexible flood protection for buildings and their access points such as windows, doors, garages and garage entrances, regardless of their dimensions, through the use of inflatable, flexible tubular plastic cushions. Characterized by These inflatable, tubular plastic cushions are glued one on top of the other and terminated with semicircular, solid rubber strands on each wall side (see explanatory sketches 1 and 2). This special arrangement of the inflatable, tubular plastic cushions, with a special internal cell structure, prevents the individual, glued-on air cushion tubes from collapsing and prevents water from penetrating them due to possible external damage (e.g., from flotsam). Furthermore, this special construction provides additional stability for the entire air cushion structure. [2] Inflatable tubular air cushions according to claim 1, characterized bythat these special air cushions can be adapted and manufactured to fit all dimensions of different building openings, meaning that the use of these tubular inflatable plastic cushions is always customer-specific.
