Description

Technical area:

[0001] The present application relates to the field of orthopaedic sleep aids, in particular pillows designed to relieve and support the neck. State of the art:

[0002] Previously known orthopedic pillows often feature homogeneous foam fillings or simple, straight lines between different materials. However, these designs cannot optimally accommodate the individual anatomical needs of users, especially with regard to adaptability to the neck and shoulder area. Task:

[0003] The objective of the invention is to provide an orthopedic pillow whose design provides optimal support and relief for the neck. The goal is to improve the pillow's comfort and ergonomic adaptability through an innovative combination of symmetrical material hardness and a specially shaped separating seam. Solution:

[0004] The orthopedic pillow according to the present application consists of two halves (2 and 3), each made of a specially developed memory foam. The halves differ in their material hardness, with one half being softer (2) and the other half somewhat harder (3). The two halves are separated by a wave-shaped separating seam (4). This wave shape is designed to optimally adapt to the contours of the human body, thus enabling even weight distribution and ideal neck support.

[0005] The wave shape of the dividing line (4) is symmetrical and divided into a ratio of 1 / 3 (8) to 2 / 3 (9). This results in one side of the pillow being 1 / 3 soft foam (8) and 2 / 3 harder foam (9), while the other side is composed of 2 / 3 soft foam (9) and 1 / 3 harder foam (8). This arrangement allows for individual adaptation to different sleeping habits and user needs, as the choice between both sides of the pillow is possible.

[0006] The rectangular shape (7) of the pillow provides sufficient space for ergonomic support of the head and neck. The pillow is available in various sizes: length (30 cm to 80 cm), width (20 cm to 60 cm), and height (4 cm to 20 cm) to meet the individual needs of users of different body sizes and shapes.

[0007] Manufacturing process: 1. Production of the specially developed memory foam blocks (one block of softer and one block of harder foam). 2. Cutting the wave shape from the foam blocks using suitable cutting techniques. 3. Joining the two halves together using an adhesive technique to ensure a stable and seamless connection. 4. Final processing by cutting to the desired size and shape.

[0008] Advantages of the invention: 1. Ergonomic adjustment: The wave-shaped parting line (4) adapts perfectly to the contours of the body and ensures even support of the neck. 2. Individual adaptability: The symmetrical distribution of the firmness levels allows users to choose between two different comfort sides (2 and 3). 3. Versatility: The different height options (4 cm to 20 cm) and the rectangular standard shape (7) make the pillow suitable for a wide target group. 4. High-quality material: The specially developed memory foam offers an optimal blend of support and pressure relief. Drawings:

[0009] For illustration purposes, drawings are included showing the rectangular shape of the cushion, the symmetrical wave shape of the parting line and the distribution of the hardness levels.

[0010] An embodiment of the invention is described with reference to Fig. 1 to 3 explains: Fig. 1 side cut view of the pillow, Fig. 2 Front view of the pillow, Fig. 3 Top view of the pillow.
