AI Technical Summary
Existing digital reward systems lack technical safeguards against multiple redemptions, replay attacks, and integration into heterogeneous partner environments without special hardware, and fail to manage non-monetary events like confirmed aid or support services.
A system comprising a server unit with transaction, storage, token generation, and verification units, generating cryptographically signed, time-limited QR-based coupon objects for secure, one-time redemption and tamper-proof logging, integrated via a partner interface without special hardware.
Ensures secure, one-time redemption and tamper-proof logging of digital rewards, preventing multiple redemptions and enabling hardware-independent partner integration.
Abstract
Description
1. Title of the invention
[0001] System for the secure, tamper-proof management, conversion and redemption of digital reward values using time-limited, unique QR-based coupon objects with partner integration interfaces. 2. Technical field
[0002] The invention relates to a technical data processing system for managing digital assets in distributed client-server architectures. In particular, the invention relates to a system for generating, storing, providing, verifying, and redeeming digital reward values using cryptographically secured identification objects. 3. State of the art
[0003] Well-known bonus and loyalty systems are predominantly based on purchase transactions and use static identifiers such as customer cards or permanent codes.
[0004] These systems are not technically designed to represent non-monetary events such as confirmed aid or support services and, in particular, lack technical safeguards against multiple redemptions, replay attacks, or subsequent manipulation of digital assets.
[0005] Furthermore, there is no system-side option for secure integration into heterogeneous partner environments without the use of special hardware. 4. Problem underlying the invention
[0006] The invention is based on the objective of providing a technical system that • digital reward values are managed as unique, time-limited data objects, • technically enforces a one-time redemption of these data objects, • enables server-side integrity and authorization checks, • can be integrated into different partner systems without special hardware and • All state changes of the data objects are logged in a tamper-proof manner. 5. Summary of the invention
[0007] The task is solved by a system comprising at least: • a server unit with a transaction unit, • a storage unit for managing user accounts, token objects, and coupon objects, • a token generation unit for creating cryptographically signed, time-limited token objects with a unique identifier, • a coupon unit for generating coupon objects from token objects, • an output unit for providing the coupon objects in machine-readable form, in particular as a QR code, • as well as a verification unit for server-side verification and one-time invalidation of the coupon objects when redeemed via a partner interface. 6. Brief description of the drawings Fig. Figure 1 shows a schematic system architecture of the system according to the invention. Fig. 2, Fig. 3 to Fig. Figure 4 shows schematic state representations of token and coupon objects. Fig. Figure 5 shows exemplary data structures of the stored system objects. 7. Example of implementation
[0008] The system includes a client app for user interaction, a server unit for transaction processing, a cryptographic key management system, a database with state machines for token and coupon objects, and a partner interface in the form of a POS system or a web-based partner portal.
[0009] Token and coupon objects are each provided with a unique identifier, an expiry time, and a cryptographic signature.
[0010] After successful verification of a coupon object, it is irreversibly devalued by the system. Backwards transitions between states are impossible. 8. Advantages • Technical prevention of multiple redemptions • Cryptographic integrity of the valuable assets • Tamper-proof logging • Hardware-independent partner integration • Privacy-friendly pseudonymization
Claims
System for the secure management of digital reward values, comprising a server unit with a transaction unit, a storage unit for storing user accounts, token objects and coupon objects, a token generation unit for generating cryptographically signed, time-limited token objects with a unique identifier, a coupon unit for generating a coupon object from at least one token object, an output unit for providing the coupon object in a machine-readable representation, in particular as a QR code, a verification unit for server-side verification of the validity, uniqueness and authorization of the coupon object when redeemed via a partner interface, wherein the coupon object is irreversibly technically devalued after successful verification. System according to claim 1, wherein the token objects and coupon objects each have a cryptographic signature and expiry time information. System according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the storage unit implements a state machine that excludes multiple use of the same token or coupon objects. System according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the verification unit is designed in such a way that multiple redemptions of the same coupon object are technically prevented. System according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the partner interface is designed as a POS interface or as a web-based partner portal. System according to one of the preceding claims, wherein all state changes of the token and coupon objects are stored in an append-only audit log. System according to one of the preceding claims, wherein token and coupon objects contain exclusively pseudonymized identifiers.
