Modular dental suction system for connection to the large suction hose of a dental treatment unit, characterized in that the suction system has a modular, at least two-part structure, comprising a dimensionally stable base part (1) and a separate, tissue-friendly and collapse-resistant attachment (2), wherein the dimensionally stable base part (1) has a plug connection (3) at a mouth-side end for receiving the attachment (2), and the attachment (2) has a plurality of holes (4) for suction on its outer surface and has at least one hole (4) on its front face.
