Description
[0001] The invention relates to a joint sealing tape according to the preamble of claim 1 and a method for providing a joint sealing tape according to the invention according to claim 13.
[0002] When installing a frame component, especially a window, into a reveal, two things must be ensured. Firstly, the frame component must be firmly and permanently anchored in the reveal in a dimensionally stable, functional, and load-bearing manner. Secondly, the gap that forms between the frame component and the reveal must be reliably sealed.
[0003] A simple and widely used method for installing windows involves placing load-bearing blocks and / or spacers between the frame and the reveal, which must be secured against slippage. See the "Guidelines for Planning and Executing the Installation of Windows and Doors for New Construction and Renovation," March 2014 edition, prepared by the RAL Quality Association for Windows and Doors and the ift Institute for Window Technology, Rosenheim, in cooperation with, among others, the German Glazing Association (BIV), Hadamar; the German Association of Carpenters and Joiners (TSD Tischler Schreiner Deutschland), Berlin; and the Independent Consultants for Facade Technology (UBF), Unterschleißheim, published by the RAL Quality Association for Windows and Doors. These guidelines are referred to below as "Guidelines for Planning and Executing the Installation of Windows and Doors for New Construction and Renovation, March 2014 edition." These load-bearing blocks and / or spacers allow the window to be aligned vertically and horizontally. These load-bearing blocks and / or spacer blocks primarily serve to transfer the load between the window and the reveal. Especially when there are different joint widths, it is sometimes necessary to combine different blocks to ensure pressure-resistant backing and load transfer.
[0004] A pressure-resistant backing in the area of the fixing points between the frame component or casing and the reveal is also required for the burglar-resistant installation of components according to DIN EN 1627-1630. The DIN EN 1627-1630 series of standards is a relevant testing standard for doors, windows, curtain walls, grilles, and closures. DIN EN 1627 defines various resistance classes (RC) with regard to burglar resistance. A pressure-resistant backing contributes in particular to achieving resistance classes RC2 or RC3 by preventing deformation of the frame component or casing towards the reveal or building structure during attempted break-ins using leverage tools.
[0005] To ensure airtightness and resistance to driving rain, a joint sealing tape containing, for example, foam, is inserted into the joint between the frame component and the reveal. Such compressible joint sealing tapes are known, for example, from DE 19641415 C2, DE 20009674 U1, EP 3124712 A1, or EP 2655775 A1. The aforementioned joint sealing tapes can comprise several foam elements separated from each other, for example, by at least one membrane layer. Further joint sealing tapes that do not have a membrane layer are known, for example, from DE 1000946 A, DE 4020230 A1, or DE 3407995 A1.
[0006] A known joint sealing tape comprising a foam has two longitudinal sides, a top side that, in the installed state, abuts one joint flank, in particular a reveal, and a bottom side that, in the installed state, abuts the opposite joint flank, in particular of the frame component. Between the top and bottom sides, parallel or nearly parallel to the longitudinal sides, one or preferably several membrane layers can run longitudinally. It is known that the bottom side of such a joint sealing tape is adhered to the frame component to be sealed, for example, a window or door frame. After the frame component is installed, for example, in a reveal, the previously compressed joint sealing tape expands, i.e., returns to its elastic state, so that the top side of the joint sealing tape abuts or rests against the reveal, thus sealing the frame component to the reveal.
[0007] When using the aforementioned blocks, the joint sealing tape is usually installed butted against the load-bearing blocks and / or spacer blocks. However, such butt joints between the joint sealing tape and the load-bearing blocks and / or spacer blocks represent leaks that are either not adequately protected with regard to airtightness and resistance to driving rain, or require very complex subsequent sealing.
[0008] Blocks also have the disadvantage that they can negatively affect the airtight layer present in the joint sealing tape. This applies regardless of whether the inner airtight layer is designed as a foil, adhesive layer, membrane, or edge coating.
[0009] Furthermore, depending on their composition, such blocks can also represent an undesirable thermal bridge.
[0010] To solve the problem of butt joints, EP 3 115 539 A1 discloses a joint sealing strip and a method for installing it in a gap between a frame component and a reveal, in which the frame component is first fixed in a predetermined position within the reveal, and then a joint sealing strip is placed in the gap between the frame component and the reveal. In a subsequent process step, a recess is cut into the joint sealing strip. A bonding compound is inserted into this recess, which, once hardened, connects the frame component to the reveal in a load-bearing manner.
[0011] A disadvantage of this state of the art is that creating the recesses in the joint sealing tape represents at least one additional time-consuming process step. Furthermore, it is possible that the recess will be created in the wrong location or of the wrong size within the joint sealing tape. Any error in creating the recess in the joint sealing tape can lead to insufficient airtightness and resistance to driving rain, or, depending on the design of the required cut, create an undesirable thermal bridge.
[0012] Due to increasingly stringent requirements, especially regarding airtightness, defects and interruptions in the joint sealing tape, and in particular in an airtight layer arranged in the joint sealing tape, must be avoided.
[0013] US Patent 2011 / 0097539 A1 discloses the use of a curable compound for incorporation into the pores of a porous body, which may consist of foam, polyurethane foam, mineral fibers, and / or wood fibers. The injected compound cures, giving the porous body high stiffness and enabling it to transfer the loads occurring during operation between an attachment and a component.
[0014] Starting from this prior art, the object of the present invention is to eliminate the aforementioned disadvantages of the prior art and, in particular, to provide a joint sealing tape that is at least partially load-bearing and a method for providing it, which enables simplified and time-saving installation of a frame component in a reveal without damaging the joint sealing tape by incisions, cutouts or recesses.
[0015] This problem is solved by a joint sealing tape according to the preamble of claim 1 by the characterizing features of claim 1. Further developments and advantageous embodiments of the invention may be found in the dependent claims.
[0016] The joint sealing tape according to the invention, comprising a foam, is characterized in that a curable blocking compound is introduced directly into the pore spaces of the foam in at least one predetermined area of the foam, which has load-bearing properties in the cured state.
[0017] This provides a load-bearing joint sealing strip that enables simplified and time-saving installation of a frame component into a reveal, without damaging the joint sealing strip through cuts, cutouts, or recesses. According to the invention, the glazing compound is applied directly into the pore spaces of the foam. A reveal is understood to be, in particular, the inner surfaces of wall and ceiling openings.
[0018] By injecting the shimming compound into the preferably at least partially open-cell foam, the pore spaces of the joint sealing tape are filled with the compound. After the shimming compound has hardened, a pressure-resistant backing for a frame component is created, which cannot slip. The joint sealing tape itself holds the load-bearing areas in position.
[0019] Furthermore, no cuts, notches, or recesses need to be made in the joint sealing tape that would negatively affect its sealing properties. The simplified application of the joint sealing tape according to the invention also reduces installation time and increases the likelihood of correct installation.
[0020] Due to the shimming compound incorporated into the joint sealing tape, other properties of the joint sealing tape, such as its thermal insulation properties or an existing airtight layer, are not affected.
[0021] The joint sealing tape claimed according to the invention can also be provided by introducing a curable shimming compound into a joint sealing tape comprising foam, which may have already been introduced into a joint months or years ago according to the prior art, in at least one predetermined area of the foam, which then has load-bearing properties in the cured state.
[0022] It can be advantageous if the blocking compound is introduced into at least one predetermined area of the foam by means of impregnation or, preferably, by injection. The impregnation can be carried out using a method known to those skilled in the art, which is customary for impregnating foams.
[0023] It can be advantageous if the blocking compound incorporated into the foam, particularly at typical operating temperatures, cures and / or is curable by drying, by chemical reaction, by reaction with water or oxygen, by using an external radiation source, especially a heat, UV, IR, or microwave radiation source, and / or by introducing at least one further component into the at least one predetermined area of the foam. Due to its improved applicability, curing by drying, by chemical reaction, by reaction with water or oxygen, and / or by introducing at least one further component into the at least one predetermined area of the foam is preferred.
[0024] To prevent the position of the frame component in the reveal from changing, it can be advantageous for the curing compound to harden quickly. To accelerate the curing of the curing compound, the areas of the joint sealing tape containing the curable compound can be irradiated with an external radiation source, either alone or in addition to the curing process.
[0025] It can be advantageous if the blocking compound comprises several components, one of which is a hardener component.
[0026] It can be advantageous if the components of the glazing compound can be applied simultaneously to at least one predetermined area of the foam, or it can be advantageous if at least one component of the glazing compound can be applied to at least one predetermined area of the foam after at least one other component of the glazing compound. In the latter case, one component of the glazing compound can, for example, already be applied to a predetermined area at the factory, while the other component, namely the hardener component, can only be applied on-site, in particular after the installation of the joint sealing tape or after the installation of the frame component with joint sealing tape into a reveal, to a predetermined area of the foam, whereupon hardening takes place. For example, it is advantageous to thoroughly impregnate the entire joint sealing tape with a first component of the shimming compound, while the second component is then only applied to predetermined areas of the foam, which are usually spaced apart and are intended to have load-bearing properties.
[0027] In particular, one- or multi-component materials that can be cured to form a load-bearing solid can be used as blocking compounds.
[0028] It can be advantageous if the glazing compound is an epoxy resin, a polyester resin, a polyurethane polymer, an acrylate polymer, or a hybrid polymer, preferably an MS polymer. The aforementioned glazing compounds can be used in one-component or two-component formulations.
[0029] It can be advantageous if the one-component glazing compound is dispersion- or solvent-based.
[0030] It can be advantageous if the shimming compound to be introduced into the foam, particularly at normal application temperatures, preferably at room temperature, has a viscosity that makes it possible to introduce the shimming compound into the predetermined area of the foam by means of an injection device, so that the shimming compound is distributed locally and does not escape from the foam of the joint sealing tape when the injection device is removed.
[0031] It can be advantageous if the curable shimming compound, or at least one component of the curable shimming compound, is introduced into the at least one predetermined area of the foam before the joint sealing tape is installed in a joint, preferably at the factory or directly on site, wherein the shimming compound cures and / or is curable after the joint sealing tape is installed in the joint, for example by drying, by chemical reaction, by reaction with water or oxygen, by using an external radiation source, in particular by using a heat, UV, IR or microwave radiation source, and / or by introducing at least one further component into the at least one predetermined area of the foam.
[0032] Additionally or alternatively, it can be advantageous if the curable shimming compound or at least one component of the curable shimming compound is introduced into at least one predetermined area of the foam after the joint sealing tape has been installed in a joint, wherein the shimming compound then cures and / or is curable, for example, by drying, by chemical reaction, by reaction with water or oxygen, by using an external radiation source, in particular by using a heat, UV, IR or microwave radiation source, and / or by introducing at least one further component into at least one predetermined area of the foam.
[0033] It can be advantageous if the joint sealing tape has already expanded between the frame component and the reveal before the curable shimming compound or at least one component of the curable shimming compound is introduced into the specified area of the foam.
[0034] It can be advantageous if the joint sealing tape has expanded at least partially, i.e., not yet completely, between the frame component and the reveal before the curable shimming compound or at least one component of the curable shimming compound is introduced into the specified area of the foam.
[0035] It can be advantageous if the specified area is a specified length section and / or a specified width section of the foam.
[0036] The glazing compound can advantageously be introduced, in particular injected, into the predetermined area of the foam in such a way that the joint sealing tape is largely, preferably completely, saturated with the glazing compound in at least one cross-section in a transverse direction running essentially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction within the area.
[0037] It can be advantageous if the volume V [m 3< ] of the minimum required hardenable shimming compound per shimming area is selected according to the joint width b F [m] to be filled as well as the force F [N] and compressive strength D [N / m 2< ] to be absorbed depending on the application and is preferably calculated according to the following formula V= F / D * b F.
[0038] It can be advantageous if the minimum required hardenable glazing compound per glazing area is chosen depending on the type of glazing compound to be applied and the area to be glazed.
[0039] It can be advantageous if the type of blocking compound and the quantity of blocking compound to be applied are chosen according to the force F [N] to be absorbed and the compressive strength D [N / m 2< ] of the blocking compound after hardening.
[0040] It can be advantageous if the selection of the blocking compound, the quantity applied, and the number of load-bearing areas are chosen such that a load of at least 0.30 kN / m, preferably at least 0.40 kN / m, and particularly preferably at least 0.5 kN / m can be supported.
[0041] It can be advantageous if a single load-bearing area with hardened blocking compound can withstand a force of at least 0.2 kN, preferably at least 0.5 kN, particularly preferably at least 0.7 kN.
[0042] It may be advantageous if the number of load-bearing areas and the minimum load capacity per area are selected according to the guidelines for planning and executing the installation of windows and front doors for new construction and renovation, edition March 2014, in particular according to chapter 5 "Fastening and load transfer".
[0043] Advantageously, the joint sealing tape exhibits uniform compressive strength in the area where the glazing compound is applied, particularly injected. This makes it possible to achieve uniform load-bearing properties in this area.
[0044] It can be advantageous if the selection of a suitable glazing compound is based on the specifications of the ift guideline MO-02 / 1, Building connection of windows, Part 2 Procedure for determining the serviceability of fastening systems, published by the Institute for Window Technology eV, June 2015, according to which in particular changes in position of the frame component under load of < 1mm must be ensured.
[0045] The selection of a suitable glazing compound can also be derived, for example, from the guide to planning and executing the installation of windows and front doors for new construction and renovation, edition March 2014, in particular according to chapter 5 "Fastening and load transfer".
[0046] It can be advantageous if the hardened blocking compound has a compressive strength of ≥ 0.2 N / mm² or ≥ 0.3 N / mm², preferably ≥ 0.4 N / mm² or particularly preferably ≥ 0.5 N / mm².
[0047] It can be advantageous if the compressive strength of the cured blocking compound is ≤ 20 N / mm², preferably ≤ 10 N / mm², particularly preferably ≤ 5 N / mm², and most preferably ≤ 3 N / mm². For some applications, it can also be advantageous if the compressive strength of the cured blocking compound is ≤ 1.5 N / mm² or ≤ 1.0 N / mm², for example, in the range of 0.75 N / mm².
[0048] The compressive strength is generally determined within the scope of the invention at a deformation of 1 mm. The compressive strength is determined according to the in-house method of the Institute for Window Technology e.V., Rosenheim, Germany, valid as of June 2014. The test specimens have a nominal thickness of 10 mm and can, for example, have dimensions of 32.7 mm x 32.1 mm or an area of approximately 1000 mm². The test specimens are placed between two flat surfaces in a tensile testing machine according to DIN EN ISO 7500-1 and subjected to a load at room temperature (23°C) at a constant feed rate (displacement-controlled) of 1 mm / min using a plate suitable for any specimen size, for example, a pressure die with a diameter of 50 mm. The force-displacement curve is continuously recorded. The displacement is measured via the crosshead travel s, which is limited to 6 mm. The determined forces are evaluated as a mean value with a standard deviation.
[0049] It can be advantageous if the foam has several foam sections or foam elements, with one or more areas in which the blocking compound is introduced being predominantly provided in only one of the foam sections or foam elements.
[0050] The joint sealing tape is advantageously elastic. This elasticity allows it to be compressed for transport and placement in a compressed state. On site, the joint sealing tape expands and seals the gap.
[0051] It can be advantageous if the foam section or foam element in which the blocking compound is predominantly applied has predominantly heat-insulating properties.
[0052] It can be advantageous if the predetermined areas where the glazing compound is applied are arranged periodically, particularly at equidistant intervals, along the length of the joint sealing tape. The glazing compound can be applied, particularly injected, into the foam at predetermined lengths, intervals, and frequencies. It can be advantageous if the sections are provided at predetermined intervals from one another, particularly at equidistant intervals along the length of the joint sealing tape.
[0053] It can be advantageous if the foam, or at least a section or element thereof, is impregnated with at least one impregnating compound to give the joint sealing tape, for example, a watertight, airtight, diffusion-retarding, sound-insulating, and / or heat-insulating property. Such properties are achieved in particular by saturating the joint sealing tape.

[0096] It is possible that further procedural steps may be carried out before, during or after the aforementioned procedural steps.
[0097] To carry out the method according to the invention, an injection device can be used which is suitable for introducing a curable sealing compound or at least one component of a curable sealing compound into a predetermined area of a joint sealing tape comprising a foam. The injection device comprises at least one reservoir for a curable sealing compound or for at least one component of a curable sealing compound and at least one hollow injection needle, wherein the injection device is designed such that a specific quantity of the curable sealing compound or the at least one component of the curable sealing compound can be introduced into the predetermined area of the foam.
[0098] It can be advantageous if the injection needle has a predetermined length and / or at least one marking, so that the injection of the curable shimming compound or at least one component of the curable shimming compound is ensured at a certain depth of the predetermined area of the foam, and / or the reservoir has a predetermined volume and / or at least one marking, so that the injection of a certain quantity of the curable shimming compound or at least one component of the curable shimming compound into the predetermined area of the foam is ensured.
[0099] It can be advantageous if the blocking compound can be introduced into the predetermined area of the foam through the injection needle by means of a pressure acting on the blocking compound contained in the storage container, which can be generated in particular by a propellant, especially a propellant gas, and / or by means of a pressure plunger, which can be actuated, for example, manually, hydraulically, by means of a shaft and / or by means of a propellant, especially by means of compressed air.
[0100] It can be advantageous if the injection device includes a foam gun.
[0101] It can be advantageous if each printing stamp can be controlled separately.
[0102] It can be advantageous to have a mixing element arranged between at least one reservoir and the injection needle.
[0103] The use of epoxy resin as a blocking compound presents an additional challenge, as the mixing ratio must be precisely maintained to achieve the desired compressive strength. This problem is solved by using the aforementioned injection device.
[0104] The injection device is designed to ensure precise adherence to the mixing ratio. This is achieved primarily by the fact that the injection device has several separate reservoirs for individual components of the glazing compound, which can be controlled separately and independently. When the injection device is activated, it automatically controls the correct mixing ratio.
[0105] Furthermore, it is also possible that a mixing element is arranged between the storage containers and the injection needle, which, at identical pressure on the storage containers, only allows the amount of one component to pass through that corresponds to the optimal mixing ratio.
[0106] It may be advantageous if the end of the injection needle, which penetrates the joint sealing tape, is pointed.
[0107] Preferably, the glazing compound, or at least one component of a multi-component glazing compound, is injected into the joint sealing tape on site using an injection device. Advantageously, the injection device has a hollow needle.
[0108] The invention will now be explained with reference to exemplary embodiments illustrated in the drawing. These show Fig. 1 shows a schematic representation of a section of the area a) of a joint sealing tape formed with a blocking compound according to the invention in the installed state, in comparison with three embodiments b), c), and d) according to the prior art; Fig. 2 shows a schematic representation of a section of a joint sealing tape according to the invention in the installed state, wherein a curable blocking compound is introduced into three predetermined and spaced-apart areas of the foam 12; and Fig. 3 shows a schematic representation of a section of a joint sealing tape according to the invention in the installed state, wherein a curable blocking compound is introduced into three predetermined and spaced-apart areas of the foam 12 with different configurations.
[0109] The drawing illustrates and explains the features essential for understanding the invention. Reference numerals used in the figures always denote identical parts.
[0110] When installing a frame component 16 into a reveal 18, on the one hand the frame component 16 must be firmly and permanently dimensionally stable, functional and load-bearing anchored in the reveal 18, and on the other hand the gap forming between frame component 16 and reveal 18 must be reliably sealed.
[0111] A joint sealing tape 10, comprising a foam 12, has two longitudinal sides 20 and, in the installed state of the joint sealing tape 12, a top side adjacent to one joint flank 24 of the reveal 18 and a bottom side 28 adjacent to the opposite joint flank of the frame component 16. As is known, the bottom side 18 of such a joint sealing tape 12 is adhered to the frame component 16 to be sealed. After the frame component 16 is installed in a reveal 18, the previously compressed joint sealing tape 12 expands, i.e., returns to its elastic state, so that the top side of the joint sealing tape 12 abuts or rests against the reveal 18 and thus seals the frame component 16 to the reveal 18.
[0112] According to the invention, as shown in Fig. 1 a), it is provided that a curable blocking compound 14 is introduced into at least one predetermined area of the foam 12, which has load-bearing properties in the cured state.
[0113] This provides a load-bearing joint sealing strip 10, which enables simplified and time-saving installation of a frame component 16 in a reveal 18 without damaging the joint sealing strip 10 through cuts, cutouts, or recesses. According to the invention, the shimming compound 14 is introduced directly into the pore spaces of the foam 12. By introducing the shimming compound 14 into the preferably at least partially open-cell foam 12, the pore spaces of the foam 12 of the joint sealing strip 10 are filled with the shimming compound 14. After the shimming compound 14 has hardened, a pressure-resistant backing of the frame component 16 is formed, which cannot slip. The joint sealing strip 10 itself holds the load-bearing areas provided with the hardened shimming compound 14 in position.
[0114] Advantageously, no cuts, notches, or recesses need to be made in the joint sealing tape 10, which could negatively affect its sealing properties. The simplified application of the joint sealing tape 10 according to the invention also reduces installation time and increases the likelihood of correct installation.
[0115] The load-bearing areas provided with the hardened shimming compound 14 according to the invention each form a pressure-resistant backing, which is preferably provided in the area of the fastening points between frame component 16 and reveal 18, thereby enabling burglar-resistant mounting of the frame component 16. The pressure-resistant backing prevents deformation of the frame component 16 towards the reveal 18 during burglary attempts using lever tools.
[0116] The curable glazing compound 14 is introduced into the predetermined area of the joint sealing strip 10, which comprises the foam 12, according to the embodiment shown in Fig. 1 a), by means of an injection device 30, which includes a reservoir 32 for the curable glazing compound 14 and a hollow injection needle 34. The injection device 30 is designed such that a specific quantity of the curable glazing compound 14 can be injected into the predetermined area of the foam 12. The reservoir 32 has markings 36 by which the injection of a specific quantity of the curable glazing compound 14 can be identified. Advantageously, the injection needle 34 has a marking 38 that specifies the maximum injection depth of the glazing compound 14 into the predetermined area of the foam 12.In the present case, the blocking compound 14 can be introduced into the specified area of the foam 12 by means of a pressure stamp 40 acting on the blocking compound 14 contained in the storage container 32 through the injection needle 34, wherein the pressure stamp 40 can be operated by hand.
[0117] Advantageously, the joint sealing tape 10 is first applied to the frame component 16. The frame component 16 is then installed in the reveal 18, with the joint sealing tape 10 expanding from the frame component 16 towards the reveal 18. Subsequently, the curable glazing compound 14 is injected into at least one predetermined area of the foam 12 of the joint sealing tape 10, the glazing compound 14 preferably curing by drying.
[0118] The examples shown in Fig. 1 b), c) and d) demonstrate disadvantageous designs according to the prior art.
[0119] In the prior art embodiment shown in Fig. 1 b), a joint sealing strip 10 is applied to the frame component 16 and cut to length at the point designated for load transfer by means of a block 42, usually a wooden block. A block 42 is then glued to the frame component 16, butt-to-butt with the joint sealing strip 10 already applied. Subsequently, another joint sealing strip 10 is applied to the frame component 16, butt-to-butt with the glued-on block 42. The frame component 16 is then installed in the reveal 18, whereby the joint sealing strip 10 expands from the frame component 16 towards the reveal 18.
[0120] In the embodiment shown in Fig. 1 c), a joint sealing strip 10 is applied to the frame component 16. Predetermined sections are then cut out of the joint sealing strip, specifically where the load transfer is provided by means of a block 42. The block 42 is bonded to the frame component 16 with hardening compound 44, butt-to-butt with the joint sealing strip 10 already applied. Any gaps between the butt surfaces are filled with hardening compound 44. The frame component 16 is then installed in the reveal 18, with the joint sealing strip 10 expanding from the frame component 16 towards the reveal 18.
[0121] In the embodiment shown in Fig. 1 d), a joint sealing strip 10 is applied to the frame component 16 in accordance with EP 3 115 539 A1. Subsequently, predetermined sections are cut out of the joint sealing strip, namely where the load transfer is intended. The resulting recess is filled with a hardening compound 44. The frame component 16 is then installed in the reveal 18, whereby the joint sealing strip 10 expands from the frame component 16 towards the reveal 18.
[0122] The injection of the curable blocking compound according to the invention can be carried out – as shown in Fig. 1 a) – with an injection device 30, which in its simplest form comprises a syringe with a cannula. Using such a syringe, curable blocking compounds 14, consisting of, for example, one component or of a mixture of two components prepared shortly before application, can be drawn up and precisely injected into the predetermined area of the foam 12, where they cure or are cured.
[0123] Various 1K or 2K dispensing systems or applicators known to those skilled in the art can be used, including, for example, cartridge guns operated manually, by compressed air, or by battery. Such dispensing systems or applicators are to be equipped with an injection needle 34 that can penetrate the predetermined area of the foam 12 with minimal resistance and has an opening that is arranged and designed such that the curable blocking compound 14 can be squeezed out of it with minimal resistance. For this purpose, the hollow injection needle 34 is preferably very pointed and advantageously has a lateral opening. It can be advantageous if the injection device is a type of marinade syringe.
[0124] For certain applications, it may also be advantageous if the hollow injection needle 34 is a cannula whose end or opening at the tip is sharpened with a beveled edge or is blunt. For some applications, it may be advantageous if the injection needle 34 is straight. For other applications, it may be advantageous if the injection needle 34 is curved.
[0125] In Fig. 2 The figure schematically shows a section of a joint sealing tape 10 according to the invention in its installed state, wherein a curable blocking compound 14 is introduced into three predetermined and spaced-apart areas of the foam 12. After curing, these areas exhibit load-bearing properties.
[0126] In Fig. 3The figure schematically shows a section of a joint sealing tape according to the invention, wherein a curable blocking compound is introduced into three predetermined and spaced-apart areas of the foam 12. The respective blocking compound 14 is of different dimensions.
[0127] It can be advantageous if the volume V [mm 3< ] of the minimum required hardenable shimming compound per shimming area is selected according to the joint width b F [m] to be filled as well as the force F [N] and compressive strength D [N / m 2< ] to be absorbed depending on the application and is preferably calculated according to the following formula V= F / D * b F.
