Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a headrest for a medical or dental treatment chair and to a medical or dental treatment chair with a backrest and such a headrest.
[0002] Previous headrests for medical or dental treatment chairs typically consist of at least two subcomponents that can be pivoted independently of one another to adjust the desired position of the patient's head. EP 1 138 306 B1 proposes a headrest that consists of three subcomponents: a base part connected to the treatment chair, an intermediate support, and a cushion support on which the cushion for supporting the patient's head is formed. Both the cushion support and the intermediate support each have a locking device with an adjustment mechanism or locking mechanism for adjusting and locking the set position of the respective component of the headrest, so that a position of the headrest adjusted by a user remains fixed. The locking mechanism can be deactivated by pressing a push button, allowing the headrest position to be adjusted. When the push button is not pressed, the locking mechanism is activated, thus maintaining or locking the headrest in the set position. However, such headrests are very tall and heavy, making them bulky and difficult to use.
[0003] US 7,240,966 B2 shows a pivoting device that is coupled to a headrest and a backrest of a dental chair and that connects the headrest and the backrest. The pivoting device has an upper and a lower connecting element, the upper connecting element being connected to the headrest and the lower connecting element being connected to the backrest, and both the upper and lower connecting elements being pivotably mounted to the housing of the pivoting device via an axle bolt. Furthermore, the pivoting device has, within its housing, an adjustment mechanism and a locking device that locks the adjustment mechanism. The locking device can be released by pressing in a bolt that runs transversely inside the housing. The upper and lower connecting elements are each coupled inside the housing with several wing-like extensions that extend toward the center of the housing and are movably guided relative to the transverse bolt. This movable mounting of the wing-like extensions relative to the transverse bolt allows the two connecting elements to pivot about the respective pivot pin of the pivoting device. To lock the respective pivot positions, the alternately interlocking wing-like extensions are pressed together with the help of the transverse bolt, so that further pivoting is prevented due to the corresponding static friction. However, due to the necessary freedom of movement of the wing-like extensions and the high number of components, such pivoting devices have a large overall height and a high weight, so that they are also bulky and unwieldy to operate.
[0004] US 2010 / 201176 A1 relates to a headrest for treatment chairs, wherein the headrest is connected to the backrest of the treatment chair via an intermediate element.
[0005] The document US 7,802,851 B2 describes an arrangement for the motorized positioning of a headrest relative to a backrest of a treatment chair.
[0006] The invention is based on the objective of providing a headrest that is as compact and flat as possible, as well as lightweight and easy to operate. Furthermore, the invention provides a medical or dental treatment chair with a backrest and a headrest according to the invention.
[0007] This object is achieved according to the invention with the subject matter stated in independent claim 1. Additional features of the invention, or particular embodiments of the invention, are specified in the dependent claims.
[0008] According to the invention, a headrest for a medical or dental treatment chair with a backrest is provided, wherein the headrest: a base part which can be connected to the backrest of the treatment chair or is formed by the backrest, an intermediate support and a cushion support which is designed to receive a cushion.
[0009] The intermediate support is pivotally connected to the base part at a first end region of the intermediate support about a first pivot axis, and the cushion support is pivotally connected to the intermediate support about a second pivot axis at a second end region of the intermediate support opposite the first end region. Furthermore, the headrest comprises: a first locking device which is designed to selectively lock a pivoting position of the intermediate support relative to the base part, and a second locking device which is designed to selectively lock a pivoting position of the cushion support relative to the intermediate support, wherein both locking devices extend substantially parallel to each other along the intermediate support from the first pivot axis to the second pivot axis.
[0010] Thus, a headrest is specified which has at least three (sub-)components, base part, intermediate support, and cushion support, wherein these components are individually pivotally coupled to one another, and wherein the set position of the components can be locked by two locking devices. The two locking devices are arranged along the intermediate support, in particular within the intermediate support, so that the components for locking the set pivot position are arranged parallel to one another and, in particular, spatially connected. This reduces the overall height of the headrest, while also facilitating the operation of the locking mechanism. In particular, such a headrest has an extremely lightweight cushion support, since the cushion support does not have any heavy components, such as a locking device, which further increases the operation and comfort of the headrest. In addition, the flat design of the individual components in such a headrest increases the freedom of movement for adjusting the headrest, which further has a positive effect on the ergonomics of the headrest.
[0011] Furthermore, the invention provides that the first and second locking devices are adjustable in length. This offers the advantage that the set pivot positions of the headrest components can be fixed particularly easily by the locking devices, while also enabling flexible and continuous adjustment of the pivot positions of the individual headrest components. Preferably, the two locking devices are independently adjustable in length.
[0012] In an advantageous development of the headrest according to the invention, the first locking device is connected to the base part via a third pivot axis. In particular, it can be provided that the third pivot axis is formed by a third joint. Furthermore, it can be provided that the third joint is a component of an articulated connection part. It can also be provided that the first pivot axis is formed by a first joint, wherein, in particular, the first joint can also be a component of the articulated connection part.
[0013] Such a refinement with the articulated connection part as a connecting element between the base part and the intermediate support offers the advantage that the intermediate support is flexibly pivotably connected to the base part. Furthermore, the design of the articulated connection part with the first and third joints makes it possible to both adjust the position of the headrest relative to the backrest of the treatment chair and to fix the adjusted position as simply as possible. This further simplifies the adjustment of the headrest components, with the lever effect, in particular, enabling quick adjustment with minimal effort.
[0014] Particularly preferably, the headrest is designed such that the third pivot axis is eccentric from the first pivot axis.
[0015] With such a design, the pivoting movement of the intermediate support relative to the base part can be limited from the outset, with the force being distributed between the first locking device and the intermediate support. This simplifies the adjustment of the headrest.
[0016] Furthermore, in one embodiment, the locking devices can be coupled to the intermediate support via connecting parts. These connecting parts connect the locking devices to the intermediate support via a connection point.
[0017] In an advantageous further development, the headrest is characterized in that the connecting parts are arranged on the second pivot axis and are in particular designed to rotate about the second pivot axis.
[0018] This ensures that when the headrest is adjusted in such a way that pivoting about the second pivot axis is achieved, the two connecting parts and thus also the locking devices continue to extend essentially parallel to one another along the intermediate support. Furthermore, this ensures that pivoting about the second pivot axis does not change the connection points of the locking devices to the intermediate support, since a rotational movement of the second pivot axis does not result in a movement of the connecting parts. Furthermore, a preferred embodiment provides that the second locking device is pivotally coupled to a hinge pin of the cushion support via an articulated lever on a fourth pivot axis. In particular, the fourth pivot axis can be formed by the hinge pin.
[0019] Thus, the positioning of the cushion support relative to the intermediate support can be achieved particularly easily using the second locking device. Furthermore, the articulated lever enables particularly simple and effortless adjustment of the cushion support and the intermediate support, while the lever action also simplifies locking the set pivot position. Consequently, a headrest designed in this way can be adjusted particularly easily and without great effort, while the set pivot position of the headrest remains particularly stable.
[0020] Particularly preferably, the fourth pivot axis is eccentric from the second pivot axis, whereby in particular the hinge pin is also eccentric from the second pivot axis.
[0021] This makes it even easier to adjust the headrest components, with the lever effect in particular enabling quick and easy adjustment.
[0022] In a further advantageous embodiment, the articulated lever is connected to a sliding pin of the second locking device, wherein the sliding pin is slidably mounted in a guide slot of the intermediate support. In particular, the guide slot can be designed as a guide rail.
[0023] With such a design, the adjustment of the cushion support and the intermediate support can be fixed particularly easily by the second locking device, wherein the second locking device continues to be arranged essentially parallel to the first locking device along the intermediate support. The guide slot restricts the movement of the articulated lever, thereby influencing the adjustment of the cushion support and the intermediate support relative to each other in a specific way, so that adjusting the pivot position of the components is particularly simple and straightforward. Such an arrangement allows the second locking device to be arranged in the intermediate support next to the first locking device in a particularly space-saving and efficient manner.
[0024] In an advantageous further development, the articulated lever is designed as a pull and push rod. The articulated lever functions as a pull and push rod for adjusting the second locking device during the adjustment process and for stabilizing the adjusted position of the cushion support relative to the intermediate support after the adjustment process.
[0025] Furthermore, in a preferred embodiment, it is provided that the articulated lever is designed to pull or push the sliding bolt connected to the articulated lever along the guide slot into a new position when the pivoting position of the cushion support is adjusted, wherein the second locking device is designed to selectively lock the new position of the sliding bolt.
[0026] This makes it particularly easy and safe to adjust the swivel positions of the headrest components and to fix the swivel positions of the headrest components.
[0027] In a particularly preferred embodiment, it is provided that the first and the second locking device are arranged between the first and the second pivot axis.
[0028] With such a design, it is possible to ensure that, regardless of the set position of the headrest, the two locking devices are always arranged between the two pivot axes, so that the dimensions of the intermediate support are particularly compact and flat, which promotes a headrest that is as compact, light and ergonomic as possible.
[0029] Furthermore, in a preferred embodiment, it is provided that the first and the second locking device are each a blocking cylinder, each having a piston cylinder with two working chambers, wherein the working chambers of the piston cylinder are connected to one another by a connecting line in which a valve is arranged, which can be opened or closed selectively to selectively activate or deactivate the locking device.
[0030] This design thus provides a particularly robust and reliable locking device, which is arranged in a simple and space-saving manner in the intermediate support of the headrest. Furthermore, this design of the locking device allows for intuitive and easy operation of the headrest adjustment mechanism. Furthermore, the design of the locking device as a locking cylinder enables continuous adjustment of the headrest, which is particularly easy and flexible to change.
[0031] In a further embodiment, it is particularly advantageous that the intermediate support has an operating part for selectively simultaneously activating and simultaneously deactivating the two locking devices, wherein the operating part preferably has an operating element and an operating bolt connected to the operating element, wherein the operating element is preferably arranged on a longitudinal side with respect to the intermediate support, and wherein the operating bolt is preferably mounted in the connecting parts of the intermediate support.
[0032] This makes the operation of the headrest adjustment mechanism as intuitive and easy as possible. In particular, the operating pin can form the second pivot axis.
[0033] A medical or dental treatment chair with a backrest and a headrest design is also provided.
[0034] Thus, a headrest and a treatment chair with a backrest and headrest are specified, which allow the position of the headrest to be changed easily, intuitively, and quickly. Furthermore, the headrest is designed in a compact, lightweight, and flat construction. This creates a particularly aesthetic and flexible headrest that can be easily adapted to the application-specific position and positioning of the patient's head.
[0035] The invention is explained in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment and with reference to the drawings. They show: Fig. 1: Side view of an exemplary embodiment of a headrest according to the invention in the folded position of the intermediate support and the cushion support; Fig. 2: Side view of a sectional view of an exemplary embodiment of a headrest according to the invention (without showing the covering elements and the cushion) in the folded position of the intermediate support and the cushion support; Fig. 3: Side view of a sectional view of an exemplary embodiment of a headrest according to the invention (without showing the covering elements and the cushion) in an unfolded position of the intermediate support and the cushion support; Fig. 4: Sectional view of an exemplary embodiment of a blocking cylinder as a locking device in the locked state; Fig.5a: Side view of an exemplary embodiment of a headrest according to the invention in the fully extended position of the intermediate support and the cushion support, showing the pivoting movement; Fig. 5b: Side view of an exemplary embodiment of a headrest according to the invention in the fully folded position of the intermediate support and the cushion support.
[0036] The Figure 1 shows a side view of an embodiment of a headrest 1 according to the invention with its components base part 100, intermediate support 200 and cushion support 300.
[0037] The base part 100 of the headrest 1 is designed such that it can be coupled to existing medical and / or dental treatment chairs, as well as for use in new treatment chairs. The base part 100 of the headrest 1 can either be inserted directly into a backrest or be formed integrally with a backrest. Furthermore, it is intended that the headrest 1 be a component of a dental or medical treatment chair according to the invention.
[0038] The articulated connection part 110 is coupled to the base part 100, wherein the articulated connection part 110 is also coupled to the intermediate support 200. A first pivot axis S1 passes through the articulated connection part 110, wherein this first pivot axis S1 is particularly preferably formed by a first joint 111.
[0039] The intermediate support 200 is connected to the base part 100 at a first end region of the intermediate support 200 so as to be pivotable about the first pivot axis S1. At a second end region of the intermediate support 200 opposite the first end region of the intermediate support 200, there is an operating part 240 with an operating element 241, wherein the operating element 241 is designed in particular as a push button. Likewise, a second pivot axis S2 is located at the second end region of the intermediate support 200, wherein the cushion support 300 is connected to the intermediate support 200 so as to be pivotable about the second pivot axis S2. The operating element 241 and the operating part 240 are arranged on the second pivot axis S2. The intermediate support 200 thus has two end regions, the first end region facing the first pivot axis S1 and the second end region facing the second pivot axis S2.
[0040] The cushion 301 is arranged on the cushion support 300, wherein the cushion 301 serves to provide padded support for a patient's head. The headrest 1 is designed to be adjustable for specific applications and / or patients, wherein the components of the headrest 1, i.e. in particular the control element 100, the intermediate support 200, and the cushion support 300, can be pivoted relative to one another by means of the pivot axes, in particular by means of the first and second pivot axes S1, S2, such that a desired position of the headrest 1 can be set. In the illustrated embodiment, the cushion support 300 has a handle element 302, which is particularly ergonomically shaped and further designed such that the pivoting of the components of the headrest 1 is possible with minimal effort by utilizing leverage. Thus, a headrest 1 is shown with which the pivoting of the components, in particular the cushion support 300 to the intermediate support 200, is simplified.
[0041] To pivot the components of the headrest 1, the operating element 241 must first be actuated, whereby the locking devices 210, 220 of the headrest 1 are released, or deactivated, so that adjustment or pivoting of the components of the headrest 1 is possible. By operating the handle element 302, the desired position of the headrest 1 can now be set. By releasing the actuation of the operating element 241, the locking devices 210, 220 are re-fixed, or activated, so that the set position of the headrest 1 is maintained. Figure 1 shows the maximum folded state between the cushion support 300 and the intermediate support 200.
[0042] The Figure 2shows an interior view and sectional view of an exemplary embodiment of a headrest 1 according to the invention. In particular, the Figure 2 the headrest 1 Figure 1 , wherein the cushion 301 and other covering elements such as the handle element 302, the operating element 241, and the operating part 240 are not shown. Furthermore, the components of the headrest 1, i.e., the intermediate support 200, the cushion support 300, the base part 100, and the articulated connection part 110, are shown in a sectional view, which makes the arrangement of the individual components clearer.
[0043] In the Figure 2In the folded position of the headrest 1 shown, it is shown that the pivot position of the cushion support 300 is set substantially parallel to the intermediate support 200. The cushion support 300 is connected to the hinge pin 310, wherein the hinge pin 310 also forms the fourth pivot axis, wherein the hinge lever 222 is coupled to the hinge pin 310. It can be seen here that the hinge lever 222 connects the second locking device 220, and thus the intermediate support 200 connected thereto via the second pivot axis S2, to the cushion support 300, so that the second locking device 220 can lock the set pivot position of the two components relative to one another.
[0044] Furthermore, it can be seen that the cushion support 300 is essentially formed by a supporting surface, to which the handle element 302 and the cushion 301 are ultimately coupled. This supporting surface of the cushion support 300 has projections in an end region facing the second pivot axis S2, which projections extend in the direction of the intermediate support. These projections have recesses that are coupled to the operating pin 242, so that the cushion support 300 and the intermediate support 200 are hinge-coupled to one another via the second pivot axis S2.
[0045] The operating pin 242 also forms the second pivot axis S2, wherein the second pivot axis S2 is arranged at the second end region of the intermediate support 200 and wherein the connecting parts 231, 232 are coupled to the operating pin 242. The connecting parts 231, 232 are spatially accommodated within the intermediate support 200, wherein the first connecting part 231 is coupled to the first locking device 210 and the second connecting part 232 is coupled to the second locking device 220. At the first end region of the intermediate support 200, on the one hand, the guide rail 201 is formed, in which the sliding pin 221 is accommodated, wherein the sliding pin 221 is connected to the second locking device 220, in particular to a suspension of the second locking device.
[0046] Furthermore, a coupling to the first joint 111 is provided at the first end region of the intermediate support 200, wherein the first joint 111 couples the intermediate support 200 to the articulated connection part 110. The first joint 111 also forms the first pivot axis S1. Here, the first locking device 210 is coupled to a third joint 112 in the first end region of the intermediate support 200, wherein the third joint 112 is coupled in particular to a suspension of the first locking device 210. The third joint 112 also forms the third pivot axis S3.
[0047] As in Figure 2 As shown, the two locking devices 210, 220 are arranged parallel within the intermediate support 200. A first pivoting movement is realized via the first pivot axis S1 (see Figure 5a), wherein the first pivoting movement pivots the intermediate support 200 and the cushion support 300 coupled to the intermediate support 200 relative to the base part 100. In the first pivoting movement, the two components, cushion support 300 and intermediate support 200, behave as a unit relative to the base part 100, since they are equally pivoted in a first pivoting movement relative to the base part 100. The second pivoting movement, however, is realized via the pivot axis S2, wherein the cushion support 300 is again pivoted relative to the intermediate support 200, or relative to the unit consisting of the intermediate support 200 and the base part 100. The headrest 1 is designed such that the first and second pivoting movements can be carried out simultaneously, so that simultaneous pivoting about the first and second pivot axes S1, S2 is possible.
[0048] The operating pin 242 is designed such that when the operating element 241 is actuated, the operating pin 242 is moved such that the two locking devices 210, 220 are released, i.e., deactivated. With regard to the locking devices 210, 220, "deactivated" means that the locking devices 210, 220 no longer fix the set pivot position relative to the corresponding pivot axis, so that a desired position can be set. However, if the locking devices 210, 220 are "activated," the locking devices 210, 220 fix or lock the set pivot position, so that further pivoting is not readily possible. Specifically, deactivated locking devices 210, 220 mean that the pivot positions of the cushion support 300, the intermediate support 200, and the base part 100 can be changed relative to one another.
[0049] In Figure 3A further illustration of the headrest 1 is shown, where now in comparison to Figure 2 an extended pivoting position of the headrest 1 is shown. The headrest 1 from Figure 2 was changed both by a first pivoting movement and by a second pivoting movement, wherein the first pivoting movement resulted in the intermediate support 200 being pivoted in relation to the base part 100, and wherein the second pivoting movement resulted in the cushion support 300 being pivoted in relation to the intermediate support 200.
[0050] In Figure 3 It is also apparent that the locking devices 210, 220 continue to be designed substantially parallel along the intermediate support 200, wherein it can be seen that the sliding bolt 221 of the second locking device 220 is displaced along the guide slot 201, which results from the second pivoting movement.
[0051] Due to the second pivoting movement, the position of the hinge pin 310 relative to the intermediate support 200 was also changed by pivoting the cushion support 300 about the second pivot axis S2, whereby the hinge lever 222 coupled to the hinge pin 310 was also displaced. Since the hinge lever 222 has a fixed length, the hinge lever 222 acts as a pull or push rod and guides or pushes the sliding pin 221 coupled to the other end of the hinge lever 222 along the guide slot 201. The sliding pin 221 is coupled to a suspension of the second locking device 220, whereby this second locking device 220 allows the sliding pin 221 to be displaced in the deactivated state. In the activated state of the second locking device 220, however, a displacement of the sliding bolt 221 would not be possible, so that the second pivoting movement cannot be carried out either, wherein the second locking device 220 locks the previously set pivoting about the second pivot axis S2.
[0052] In the Figures 2 and 3 It is also evident that in each of the pivot positions, the two locking devices 210, 220 are always arranged between the first and second pivot axes S1, S2 or extend from the first pivot axis S1 to the second pivot axis S2. Here, the locking devices 210, 220 are arranged substantially parallel to one another, and are also always positioned in the intermediate support 200.
[0053] Furthermore, the Figures 2 and 3It can be seen that in the embodiment shown, the locking devices 210, 220 are designed as blocking cylinders 400. An exemplary design of such a blocking cylinder 400 is shown in Figure 4 shown.
[0054] The blocking cylinder 400 each has a piston cylinder 410 with two working chambers 411, 412, wherein the working chambers 411, 412 of the piston cylinder 410 are connected to one another by a connecting line 413 in which a valve 440 is arranged, which can be opened or closed to selectively activate or deactivate the locking device 210, 220.
[0055] In the illustrated embodiment of the locking devices 210, 220 as a blocking cylinder 400, the blocking cylinder 400 essentially consists of a valve tappet 442, which is guided within a piston rod 430, and a piston cylinder 410, which accommodates the piston rod 430 on a first side, wherein the piston rod 430 is coupled to a piston 420. The piston 420 is accommodated inside the cylinder 410, wherein the piston 420 can be moved within the cylinder 410, provided the valve 440 located in the piston 420 is open.
[0056] The piston 420 separates a first working chamber 411 and a second working chamber 412, with the position of the piston rod 430 influencing the size of the first working chamber 411 and the second working chamber 412. The deeper the piston rod 430 is recessed into the piston cylinder 410, the larger the first working chamber 411 and the smaller the second working chamber 412, and vice versa.
[0057] By pressing the valve tappet 442, a valve 440 arranged inside the piston rod 430 is opened by moving a connecting web 413, so that the first working chamber 411 and the second working chamber 412 are connected via the connecting web 413. The opened valve 440 now allows the piston 420 to be moved inside the piston cylinder 410, so that the piston rod 430 can be further lowered or extended.
[0058] The valve 440, which is connected to the piston rod 430 and is arranged inside the piston 420, is pressed toward the valve tappet 442 by a return spring 441 arranged in the second working chamber 412, so that by default, i.e., without actuating the valve tappet 442, the valve 440 is closed, preventing the piston 420 from moving because the position of the piston 420 is fixed. Only upon actuation of the valve tappet 442, and thus by deactivating the locking device, is the valve 440 opened, allowing the piston 420 to move within the cylinder 410. Upon displacement of the piston 420 toward the second working chamber 412, the piston rod 430 plunges further into the piston cylinder 410, thus reducing the overall size of the blocking cylinder 400.When the piston 420 moves in the opposite direction, i.e. when the piston 420 moves in the direction of the first working chamber 411, and thus when the first working chamber 411 is reduced in size, the piston rod 430 is increasingly moved out of the piston cylinder 410, so that the length of the blocking cylinder 400 is increased.
[0059] This creates a mechanism which allows a variable length of the blocking cylinder 400 to be created when the valve tappet 442 is actuated.
[0060] The blocking cylinder 400 is provided at one end with a fixed suspension which is connected to the piston cylinder 410, while at the other end the piston rod 430 serves as a contact point.
[0061] In the Figures 2 and 3The locking devices 210, 220 are designed as blocking cylinders 400, wherein it can be seen that the individual blocking cylinders 400 are each connected by their piston rod 430 to the respective connecting parts 231, 232. The suspension of the first locking device 210 or the first blocking cylinder is coupled to the third joint 112, wherein the suspension of the second locking device 220 or the second blocking cylinder is coupled to the sliding bolt 221, which is received in a rail-like manner within the guide slot 201.
[0062] By actuating the operating pin 242, the valve tappets 442 of the two blocking cylinders 400 of the two locking devices 210, 220 are actuated via the connecting parts 231, 232, so that the valves 440 of the blocking cylinders 400 open simultaneously, so that an adjustment of the headrest 1 is possible both by a first pivoting movement about the first pivot axis S1 and by a second pivoting movement about the second pivot axis S2.
[0063] The Figure 5 , consisting of the two Figures 5a and 5b , shows different pivoting positions of an exemplary embodiment of a headrest 1 according to the invention in a lateral sectional view.
[0064] The Figures 5a and 5b differ only in terms of their pivoting position and pivoting about the second pivot axis S2, whereby the position of the cushion support 300 relative to the intermediate support 200 is between Figures 5a and 5b differs.
[0065] It is evident that in Figure 5a a first maximum pivoting position of the cushion support 300 relative to the intermediate support 200 is set, since the sliding bolt 221 is in a stop position in the guide slot 201, or the guide rail 201. In this case, Figure 5a a maximum unfolded position of these two components relative to each other is shown.
[0066] In the Figure 5b a second maximum pivoting position of the cushion support 300 relative to the intermediate support 200 is shown, since the sliding bolt 221 is in the other stop position of the guide slot 201. Furthermore, it can be seen that the cushion support 300 and the intermediate support 200 are now almost or essentially parallel to each other, so that in the Figure 5b the maximum folded position of these two components is shown.
[0067] In Figure 5aIt can be seen that the sliding bolt 221 is deflected maximally in the guide slot 201 to the left (i.e. in the direction of the second pivot axis S2), so that the Figure 5aThe pivoting of the two components, cushion support 300 and intermediate support 200, shown represents a maximum pivoting. Furthermore, it can be seen that the piston rod 430 of the second locking device 220, or of the second blocking cylinder, is maximally recessed into the piston cylinder 410 of the second blocking cylinder, so that the length of the second blocking cylinder, or of the second locking device 220, is minimal. Due to the minimal length of the second locking device 220, the articulated lever 222 coupled to the sliding bolt 221 is also maximally displaced to the left, with the articulated lever 222 thereby guiding or pushing the articulated bolt 310 into its position and thus fixing the pivoting of the cushion support 300. It can also be seen that the first locking device 210 and the second locking device 220 are arranged parallel to one another within the intermediate support 200.
[0068] By actuating the operating element 241 and thus by operating the operating bolt 242, the locking devices 210, 220 are deactivated, so that pivoting about the first and second pivot axes S1, S2 is possible, wherein the pivot position of Figure 5a towards the swivel position in Figure 5b is feasible.
[0069] The pivot position was changed in that the cushion support 300 was adjusted in a second pivoting movement about the second pivot axis S2, such that the sliding pin 221 is positioned at the other maximum end of the guide slot 201. By folding the cushion support 300 towards the intermediate support 200, the position of the hinge pin 310 was changed in such a way that the hinge lever 222 coupled to the hinge pin 310 pressed the sliding pin 221 along the guide slot 201, or along the guide rail 201, and thus pulled the suspension of the second locking device 220, coupled to the sliding pin 221, away from the second pivot axis S2 in the direction of the first pivot axis S1. As a result, the piston cylinder 410 of the second locking device 220 was also moved in the direction of the first end region of the intermediate support 200, orin the direction of the first pivot axis S1, so that the length of the second locking device 220 increases, since the piston rod 430 of the second locking device 220 is fixed to the second connecting part 232, and thus to the second pivot axis S2.
[0070] By releasing the control element 241, the thus-adjusted pivot position of the headrest 1 is locked, so that the position cannot be easily changed. In the pivot position thus achieved, the two components, intermediate support 200 and cushion support 300, are arranged essentially parallel, so that the headrest 1 is, overall, particularly flat and compact.
[0071] In the Figures 5a and 5b It is also evident that in each of the maximum pivot positions the two locking devices 210, 220 are always arranged between the first and the second pivot axes S1, S2.
[0072] In addition, in further embodiments, other adjustment and locking mechanisms can be provided in addition to a blocking cylinder 400, wherein in particular other mechanical locking devices 210, 220 are conceivable, wherein these can also be controlled electronically.
[0073] Furthermore, it can be provided that the headrest 1 is incorporated into a treatment chair, wherein the base part 100 is preferably coupled to the treatment chair and in particular to the backrest of the treatment chair. In a further embodiment, it can be provided that the base part 100, in particular, is an integral part of a backrest of a treatment chair, so that the headrest 1 is firmly connected to the backrest or the treatment chair.
[0074] Thus, a headrest 1 is provided that allows the pivoting position of the headrest 1 to be changed in a simple, intuitive, and quick manner. Furthermore, the headrest 1 is designed in a compact, lightweight, and flat manner. This creates a particularly aesthetic and flexibly usable headrest 1 that can be easily adapted to the application-specific position and positioning of the patient's head.
