Description

State of the art

[0001] The present invention relates to a method for displaying parameters of a food processing machine, in particular a food processing machine or a food packaging machine, by means of a display device of the food processing machine, wherein a first recipe is stored in a memory, which comprises several parameters, each of which is assigned a first parameter value. The invention further relates to a display device for a food processing machine, in particular a food processing machine or a food packaging machine. A further object of the invention is a food processing machine, in particular a food processing machine or a food packaging machine, with a display device.

[0002] Food processing machines, such as food processing machines or food packaging machines, typically have a display unit that shows information about the machine's current status. Often, it is possible to display one or more measured values. Furthermore, such displays can typically also show currently set parameter values of the machine, for example, a drive speed set by an operator.

[0003] Document WO 2016 / 179424 A1 discloses an automated oven that can be controlled via predefined recipes, which include control commands for the oven's components or target values for the oven's components. A recipe can be created and saved by using the oven to prepare a meal. When preparing a meal according to a recipe, differences and similarities between the recipe used and a similar recipe are detected and stored.

[0004] The publication DE 10 2015 103596 A1 discloses a storage of reference values for food preparation by a kitchen machine using a specific recipe, whereby deviations from the reference values can be detected during preparation and corresponding operating instructions can be issued to the user.

[0005] Displaying the currently set parameter values allows an operator to get an idea of the machine's current state. However, especially in situations where the operator has changed, for example during a shift change, it is often difficult for the operator to understand changes in the parameter values without additional information from the previous operator. Such changes may have contributed to the machine being, or potentially being, in a fault condition. Disclosure of the invention

[0006] The object of the present invention is to make it easier for an operator to determine the cause of an error.

[0007] To solve the problem, the invention proposes a method for displaying parameters of a food processing machine, in particular a food processing machine or a food packaging machine, by means of a display device of the food processing machine, wherein a first recipe is stored in a memory, which comprises several parameters, each of which is assigned a first parameter value, and a second recipe is stored, which comprises several parameters, each of which is assigned a second parameter value. a. wherein in a determination step a parameter is determined which is contained in the first and the second recipe and to which a first parameter value of the first recipe and a second parameter value of the second recipe are assigned, which differ from each other, b. wherein in a first display step the first and second parameter value of the determined parameter are displayed simultaneously by means of the display device.

[0008] By determining and simultaneously displaying the first parameter value of the first recipe and the second parameter value of the second recipe for the same parameter, as provided for in the invention, the operator of the food processing machine can detect changes compared to a first recipe used as a reference in a second recipe, for example, one currently in use. In this way, the operator can more quickly identify such parameter values that have changed. This makes it easier for the operator to determine any causes that have led or will lead to an undesirable state of the food processing machine, in particular a malfunction.

[0009] For the purposes of this invention, a recipe is understood to be a data set containing parameter values, each assigned to a parameter. These parameters represent adjustable properties of the food processing machine, i.e., properties that can be specified, for example, by an operator. Such parameters may include, for example, time specifications for activating and / or deactivating elements of the food processing machine, information on the activation state of functions or elements of the food processing machine, or other adjustable physical quantities and / or setpoints of control loops. Specifically, measured values are not considered parameters within the meaning of this invention.

[0010] The operator of the food processing machine could be, for example, a worker, a shift supervisor, or a maintenance employee.

[0011] Preferably, in the determination step for identifying the parameter contained in the first and second recipes, a comparison of the parameters of the first and second recipes is performed. Attributes assigned to the parameters of the first and second recipes, such as a label, can be compared. To identify differing parameter values in this step, a comparison of the parameter values of the parameter contained in the first and second recipes can be performed, for example, by comparing binary data.

[0012] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the first recipe is a predefined standard recipe, and the second recipe is a variant recipe modified by an operator of the food processing machine. The display unit can enter the first display step as soon as a parameter value of the currently selected (second) recipe is changed. With this embodiment, both the modified parameter value according to the currently selected recipe and a predefined first parameter value, which represents a standard or default value, can always be displayed. This embodiment offers the advantage that the operator can directly compare the parameter setting with the standard or default value during the adjustment process.

[0013] An alternative, advantageous embodiment provides that – in a selection step preceding the determination step – the first and second recipes are selected by an operator of the food processing machine from a predetermined set of stored recipes. According to such an embodiment, an operator can select any two recipes and compare their parameter values. The two recipes can be two different variants or versions of a common recipe family, preferably relating to the same food product to be manufactured and / or packaged. Alternatively, the first and second recipes can relate to different food products to be manufactured and / or packaged, but share at least one common parameter whose respective parameter value can be compared between the first and second recipes.

[0014] Preferably, an indicator is detected by a detection device to select the first and / or second recipe, and a selection unit determines the first and / or second recipe based on the detected indicator. The selection unit can read a stored association between the indicator and the recipe and select a recipe suitable for the respective food processing machine. The indicator can, for example, be affixed to or arranged on an order document or container.

[0015] Preferably, the indicator is an optically detectable indicator, for example, a barcode or a two-dimensional code, and the detection device is an optical detection device, for example, a barcode detection device or a detection device for detecting a two-dimensional code. Alternatively, the indicator can be an indicator detectable by an electromagnetic field, for example, an RFID transponder, and the detection device is a detection device for reading an indicator detectable by an electromagnetic field, for example, an RFID reader.

[0016] Preferably, the first and second recipes are stored in a memory within the food processing machine. This allows the recipes for operating the food processing machine to be stored within the machine itself. Transferring the data from an external memory to the food processing machine or the display unit is not necessary.

[0017] An alternative, preferred embodiment provides that the first and second recipes are stored in an external storage device connected to the food processing machine, in particular a cloud storage device. While such an embodiment requires data exchange between the food processing machine, especially the display unit, it offers the advantage that the same recipes stored in a common external storage device can be retrieved by several different food processing machines.

[0018] According to an advantageous embodiment of the method according to the invention, in the first display step, in addition to the first and second parameter values of the determined parameter, a further parameter value of another parameter is also displayed by means of the display device. This further parameter is contained in both the first and second recipes and is assigned an identical third parameter value according to both recipes. Since the operator is shown not only those parameter values that differ between the two recipes, but also those that are identical, the operator's understanding of the recipe, and in particular the interaction of the individual parameter values with each other, is facilitated.

[0019] A particularly advantageous design is one in which, in a second display step, the display device shows not only the first and second parameter values of the determined parameter, but also a further parameter value of another parameter that is contained in the first and second recipes and to which an identical third parameter value is assigned according to the first and second recipes. This further parameter value is not displayed in the first display step, and the operator can switch between the first and second display steps, in particular back and forth. With such a design, the operator can selectively activate or deactivate the display of the identical parameter value(s).

[0020] It is advantageous if the third parameter value is displayed in a different format, for example, as a single value, in a different font, in a different font size, in a different color, against a different background color, and / or at a different brightness, than the first and second parameter values. This improves the visibility of the first and second parameter values and thus makes it easier for the operator to identify those parameter values that differ in the recipes.

[0021] An advantageous embodiment provides that the display device includes a touch-sensitive screen, for example, a touchscreen. In this respect, the display device can be part of an operating and display device that can both display information and receive operating commands, such as touching a screen area or a swipe gesture.

[0022] Another object of the invention is a display device for a food processing machine, in particular a food processing machine or a food packaging machine, which is equipped to a. in a determination step to determine a parameter that is contained in a first and a second recipe and to which a first parameter value of the first recipe and a second parameter value of the second recipe are assigned, which differ from each other, b. in a first display step to simultaneously display the first and the second parameter value of the determined parameter.

[0023] Another object of the invention is a food processing machine, in particular a food processing machine or a food packaging machine, with a display device described above.

[0024] The food processing machine can be designed, for example, as a cutting machine, defroster, cutter, mixer, thermoforming packaging machine, vertical form filling and sealing machine or horizontal form filling and sealing machine.

[0025] The same advantages already described in connection with the method according to the invention can be achieved in the display device and the food processing machine. The advantageous designs and features described in connection with the method can also be applied to the display device and the food processing machine, either alone or in combination.

[0026] To solve the aforementioned problem, a method for displaying parameters of a food processing machine, in particular a food processing machine or a food packaging machine, by means of a display device of the food processing machine is further proposed, wherein a first recipe is stored in a memory, which comprises several parameters, each of which is assigned a first parameter value, and a second recipe is stored, which comprises several parameters, each of which is assigned a second parameter value. a. wherein in a determination step a parameter is determined which is contained in the second recipe and not contained in the first recipe, b. wherein in a first display step the determined parameter and a specification, in particular a designation, of the second recipe is displayed by means of the display device.

[0027] By determining and displaying, as provided for in the invention, the parameter contained in the first recipe but not in the second recipe, the operator of the food processing machine can identify changes in a second recipe, for example, the one currently in use, compared to a first recipe used as a reference. In this way, the operator can more quickly identify parameters that have been added, for example, by a change to the recipe and / or by a modification of the food processing machine, compared to the first recipe. This makes it easier for the operator to determine any causes that have led or will lead to an undesirable state of the food processing machine, in particular a malfunction.

[0028] A recipe is understood to be a data set containing parameter values, each assigned to a parameter. These parameters represent adjustable properties of the food processing machine, i.e., properties that can be specified, for example, by an operator. Such parameters can include, for example, time specifications for activating and / or deactivating elements of the food processing machine, information on the activation state of functions or elements of the food processing machine, or other adjustable physical quantities and / or setpoints of control loops. For the purposes of this invention, measured values are specifically not considered parameters.

[0029] The operator of the food processing machine could be, for example, a worker, a shift supervisor, or a maintenance employee.

[0030] Preferably, in the investigation step to determine the parameter contained in the second recipe but not in the first, a comparison is made between the set of parameters of the first recipe and the set of parameters of the second recipe. Attributes assigned to the parameters of the first and second recipes, such as a label, can be compared.

[0031] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the first recipe is a predefined standard recipe, and the second recipe is a variant recipe modified by an operator of the food processing machine. The display unit can enter the first display step as soon as a parameter of the currently selected (second) recipe is added. With this embodiment, the added parameter according to the currently selected recipe, as well as its corresponding recipe (here, the second one), can always be displayed. This embodiment offers the advantage that the operator can directly compare the parameter setting with the standard or default recipe during the process of adjusting it.

[0032] An alternative, advantageous embodiment provides that – in a selection step preceding the determination step – the first and second recipes are selected by an operator of the food processing machine from a predetermined set of stored recipes.

[0033] Preferably, the first and second recipes are stored in a memory within the food processing machine. This allows the recipes for operating the food processing machine to be stored within the machine itself. Transferring the data from an external memory to the food processing machine or the display unit is not necessary.

[0034] An alternative, preferred embodiment provides that the first and second recipes are stored in an external storage device connected to the food processing machine, in particular a cloud storage device. While such an embodiment requires data exchange between the food processing machine, especially the display unit, it offers the advantage that the same recipes stored in a common external storage device can be retrieved by several different food processing machines.

[0035] An advantageous embodiment provides that the display device includes a touch-sensitive screen, for example, a touchscreen. In this respect, the display device can be part of an operating and display device that can both display information and receive operating commands, such as touching a screen area or a swipe gesture.

[0036] Another object of the invention is a display device for a food processing machine, in particular a food processing machine or a food packaging machine, which is equipped to a. to determine in a determination step a parameter that is included in a second recipe and not included in a first recipe; and b. to display in a first display step the determined parameter and information, in particular a designation, of the second recipe.

[0037] Another object of the invention is a food processing machine, in particular a food processing machine or a food packaging machine, with a display device described above.

[0038] The food processing machine can be designed, for example, as a cutting machine, defroster, cutter, mixer, thermoforming packaging machine, vertical form filling and sealing machine or horizontal form filling and sealing machine.

[0039] The food processing machine may be suitable for meat, poultry, fish / seafood, cheese, meat substitutes, protein substitutes such as those made from insects or mushrooms, farmed meat, vegetables, pizza, bread, baked goods, pastries, biscuits or similar items.A food processing machine, especially a meat processing machine, may be configured as a defrosting, chopping, mixing, tumbler, grinding, emulsifying, marinating, massaging, meat injector, filtration machine for brine and / or meat ingredients, brine cooling machine, meat press, freezing machine, defrosting machine, tenderizer, shaking machine, fat analysis machine, pumping machine, grinding machine, forming or portioning machine, coating machine such as dough / breading / crumbing / cooking oil machine, dust removal machine, drying / cooking / browning / frying / steaming / sous-vide machine, frying machine, grill, smoking machine, frying oil filter machine, oven / heating / cooking system, food scanner, slicing machine, scale, foreign object detection system such as metal / plastic / bones, cleaning system for the food contact area, e.g.for injection needles, or transport system, filling / loading and / or unloading system and / or conveying system and / or dosing system. The food packaging machine can be configured as a thermoforming packaging machine, vertical or horizontal form-fill-seal machine, bottle filling machine, filling machine, labeler / printer, lollipop forming / cooling / wrapping machine, lollipop packaging machine, sugar cube forming / drying / packaging machine, or dispenser. Alternatively, the food packaging machine can be an automation / control / line control system for one or more of the aforementioned machines.

[0040] Further details, features, and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the drawings and from the following description of preferred embodiments with reference to the drawings. The drawings merely illustrate exemplary embodiments of the invention, which do not limit the inventive concept. Brief description of the characters

[0041] The Fig. 1 Figure 1 shows a schematic representation of a display that is shown using a method for displaying parameters of a food processing machine according to an embodiment of the invention.

[0042] The Fig. 2 Figure 1 shows a schematic representation of a display that is shown using a method for displaying parameters of a food processing machine according to a further embodiment of the invention. Embodiments of the invention

[0043] In the various figures, identical parts are always marked with the same reference symbols and are therefore usually only named or mentioned once.

[0044] The representation in Fig. 1 Figure 1 shows a display of a display device 1 for a food processing machine, in particular a food processing machine or a food packaging machine. The display device 1 according to the exemplary embodiment comprises a touch-sensitive screen with a screen area. Information can be displayed on this screen, and operator inputs can be detected, for example, touches of certain areas of the screen or swiping gestures.

[0045] As shown in Fig. 1As can be further deduced, display unit 1 is configured to simultaneously display a first parameter value 2.1 and a second parameter value 2.2 in a first display step for a parameter 2. These parameter values are assigned to two different parameter data sets, which are referred to as recipes and whose designations are displayed in display unit 1, cf. reference numerals 10 and 20. In a determination step preceding the first display step, one or more parameters are first determined from the parameters of the two recipes. These parameters are contained in the first and second recipes and are each assigned a first parameter value 2.1 from the first recipe (here "2.1 s") and a second parameter value 2.2 from the second recipe (here "5.8 s"), which differ from each other. Therefore, the in Fig. 1The view shown is a comparison of the parameter values 2.1, 2.2 of two recipes, or a comparison of entire recipes.

[0046] The recipes are stored in a memory that is integrated into the food processing machine. The first recipe includes several parameters, each assigned a first parameter value, and the second recipe includes several parameters, each assigned a second parameter value.

[0047] The first recipe, number 10, could be a predefined standard recipe. The second recipe, number 20, could be a recipe that has been modified from the standard recipe by an operator of the food processing machine. Using the in Fig. 1 The displayed advertisement can clearly illustrate this change.

[0048] It may be provided that the second recipe 20 is automatically saved when recipe 10 is changed, with a version number being added to the name of the second recipe, for example, a higher version number being assigned.

[0049] Alternatively, the operator can select recipes 10 and 20 to be compared. For example, in a selection step preceding the determination step, the operator of the food processing machine can select the first recipe 10 and the second recipe 20 from a predefined set of stored recipes. For this purpose, a list of stored recipes can be displayed in the display unit 1 during the selection step. The operator can then select two recipes to be compared by touching the display area of the display unit 1.

[0050] Alternatively, the user can select one or more of the recipes 10, 20 to be compared by having an indicator, such as a barcode, detected by a detection device, such as an optical detection device similar to a barcode reader. A selection unit can then determine the respective recipe from the predefined set of stored recipes, depending on the detected indicator.

[0051] As in Fig. 1As further shown, in the first display step, in addition to the first and second parameter values 2.1, 2.1 of the determined parameter 2, one or more further parameter values 3.1, 4.1 of further parameters 3, 4 can also be displayed using display device 1. These parameters are contained in the first recipe 10 and the second recipe 20, and each of them is assigned an identical further parameter value 3.1, 4.1 according to the first recipe 10 and the second recipe 20. In this case, the parameter value 3.1 assigned to the upper parameter 3 is a Boolean value that can be true or false, and the parameter value 4.1 assigned to the lower parameter 4 is a numerical value that indicates a time in seconds.

[0052] The additional parameter values 3.1, 4.1 are displayed in the display unit 1 in a different color and / or brightness than the first and second parameter values 2.1, 2.2. In this case, the brightness of the additional parameter values 3.1, 4.1 is chosen to be lower or the color brighter, so that the additional parameter values 3.1, 4.1 recede into the background compared to the first and second parameter values 2.1, 2.2, and the operator's attention is drawn to the first and second parameter values 2.1, 2.2.

[0053] The display of the additional parameter values 3.1 and 4.1 can be activated and deactivated. The display device includes a symbol 30 for this purpose. Upon operator input, for example, by pressing symbol 30 on the display surface of the display device 1 in the area of symbol 30, the display switches between showing the additional parameter values 3.1 and 4.1 and showing them without these values. Thus, it is possible to switch back and forth between these two display modes.

[0054] According to a modification of the exemplary embodiment, the recipes are stored in an external storage device connected to the food processing machine, in particular a cloud storage device.

[0055] In the display devices 1 described above, a method for displaying parameters of a food processing machine, in particular a food processing machine or a food packaging machine, by means of a display device 1 of the food processing machine can be used, wherein a first recipe is stored in a memory, which comprises several parameters, each of which is assigned a first parameter value, and a second recipe is stored, which comprises several parameters, each of which is assigned a second parameter value. a. wherein in a determination step a parameter is determined which is contained in the first and the second recipe and to which a first parameter value of the first recipe and a second parameter value of the second recipe are assigned, which differ from each other, b. wherein in a first display step the first and second parameter value of the determined parameter is displayed simultaneously by means of the display device (1).

[0056] This makes it easier for the operator to identify any causes that may have led to an undesirable condition of the food processing machine, in particular a fault condition.

[0057] The representation in Fig. 2 The figure shows a further display of a display device 1 for a food processing machine, in particular a food processing machine or a food packaging machine. The display device 1 according to Fig. 2It includes a touch-sensitive screen with a display area. Information can be displayed on this screen, and user input can be detected, such as touches to specific areas of the screen or swipe gestures.

[0058] As shown in Fig. 2 Further information can be obtained from the display unit 1, which is configured to show, in a first display step for parameter 2, a reference to the recipe in which this parameter is used. The reference 21 to the recipe is provided via the recipe's name. In addition, the parameter is marked by a symbol 31 - for example, as in Fig. 2This is shown by a box with a dashed line. In a preliminary step preceding the first display step, one or more parameters are determined from the parameters of two recipes. These parameters are contained in the second recipe but not in the first. Therefore, the following is possible: Fig. 2 The view shown is a comparison of the recipes.

[0059] The recipes are stored in a memory that is integrated into the food processing machine. The first recipe includes several parameters, each assigned a first parameter value, and the second recipe includes several parameters, each assigned a second parameter value.

[0060] The first recipe, number 10, could be a predefined standard recipe. The second recipe, number 20, could be a recipe that has been modified from the standard recipe by an operator of the food processing machine. Using the in Fig. 2 The displayed advertisement can clearly illustrate this change.

[0061] It may be provided that the second recipe 20 is automatically saved when recipe 10 is changed, with a version number being added to the name of the second recipe, for example, a version number that is one higher.

[0062] Alternatively, the operator can select recipes 10 and 20 to be compared.

[0063] According to a modification of the exemplary embodiment, the recipes are stored in an external storage device connected to the food processing machine, in particular a cloud storage device. Reference symbol list
