Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a cooking system comprising at least one control device, at least one extractor device, and at least one cooktop device. The extractor device comprises at least one movable vapor shield device with at least one intake opening operatively connected to at least one fan device. The cooktop device comprises at least one support device for supporting cookware and at least one heating device for heating cookware. The vapor shield device can be moved into at least two operating positions, each with at least one different extension height. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a method for operating such a cooking system.

[0002] A variety of cooking systems have become known in which an extractor device, such as an extractor hood and / or a downdraft fan, is installed above and / or around a cooktop to extract the greasy vapors rising during cooking, thus preventing soiling of the kitchen elements and the development of unpleasant odors. Typically, the greasy vapors and / or air rising above a cooktop are drawn into an intake opening by at least one fan, freed of grease particles and odors, and then, depending on the design of the extractor device, passed through a recirculation and / or exhaust air system.

[0003] Cooking systems in which one or more so-called downdraft fans are arranged around a hob or integrated into a hob and extract the sucked-in vapors and / or the air downwards beneath the hob are typically used when there is no installation space above the hob or when visual considerations speak against such an installation.

[0004] Typically, at least one downdraft fan of such a cooking system includes a vapor shield, which, due to its at least slightly elevated position above the cooktop, in particular a raised position of the intake opening, enables better absorption or extraction of vapors. In known cooking systems, such a vapor shield can be designed to be movable, so that the height and / or position of the intake opening can be adapted to the current cooking situation, in particular to the height of a cookware, thus enabling particularly effective and even more powerful vapor extraction.

[0005] In known cooking systems, a preferred height and / or position of the intake opening in the given cooking situation often has to be manually set by a user and / or the height of a cooking utensil has to be measured by sensors before the vapor shield can be automatically moved to such a height.

[0006] However, manual adjustment is uncomfortable and an incorrectly adjusted height reduces efficiency and may increase energy consumption, especially if a higher operating level is used as compensation.

[0007] From the publication DE 10 2018 200 764 A1, the measurement of height with sensors is known, but this is technically complex and can possibly be disrupted if an incorrect height is detected due to dirty sensors and / or a special design and / or if other objects and / or the user, e.g. in the case of optical sensors, obstruct and / or restrict the clear view of the cookware.

[0008] It is therefore the object of the present invention to provide a cooking system which enables a particularly user-friendly and reliable adjustment of an advantageous extension height of a vapor shield device.

[0009] This object is achieved by the cooking system having the features of claim 1 and a method for operating a cooking system having the features of claim 4.

[0010] Preferred developments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims. Further advantages and features of the invention will become apparent from the exemplary embodiments.

[0011] The cooking system according to the invention comprises at least one control device, at least one extractor device, at least one piece of cooking utensil, and at least one hob device. The extractor device comprises at least one movable vapor shield device with at least one intake opening operatively connected to at least one fan device. The hob device comprises at least one support device for supporting cookware and at least one heating device for heating cookware. The vapor shield device can be moved into at least two operating positions, each with at least one different extension height. The control device is suitable and designed to identify at least one piece of cooking utensil, and the vapor shield device can be moved into the operating position assigned to the identified cookware.

[0012] The extractor device comprises at least one drive device by means of which the vapor screen device can be moved automatically.

[0013] According to the invention, the control device is suitable and designed to identify at least one piece of cooking utensil placed on the placement device or to determine its identity.

[0014] Preferably, the control device is suitable and designed to control the drive device so that the vapor shield device can be automatically displaced into at least the operating position assigned to the identified cooking utensil.

[0015] The extractor extraction device is in particular a downdraft fan, which is preferably suitable and designed to suck in air and / or vapors rising above the installation device and / or above a worktop into the intake opening and to discharge it in particular downwards, under the installation device and / or the worktop towards the fan device.

[0016] In expedient further developments, the extractor hood is at least partially integrated into the installation surface and / or the worktop or is accommodated in such a surface.

[0017] In advantageous further developments, the hob device is at least partially integrated into the installation surface and / or the worktop or accommodated in such.

[0018] In this case, the operating position is, in particular, a position in which the vapor shield device and, in particular, the intake opening are arranged substantially above the installation device and / or the worktop. In particular, in the operating position, air and / or vapor can be drawn into the intake opening from the installation device and / or the worktop.

[0019] In expedient further developments, the vapor shield device can be displaced at least into a rest position, in which the vapor shield device and in particular the intake opening are arranged substantially below the support device and / or the worktop. Preferably, in the rest position, an upper wall of the vapor shield device is arranged substantially flush with the support device and / or the worktop.

[0020] In this case, the extension height is, in particular, the height of an upper wall of the vapor shield device above the installation device and / or the worktop. Preferably, however, the extension height can also correspond to the height of the intake opening above the installation device and / or the worktop.

[0021] Preferably, the vapor shield device is displaceable between at least one rest position and at least two operating positions, each with at least one different extension height.

[0022] In advantageous further developments, the extractor device, in particular the vapor screen device, comprises at least one filter device for filtering the sucked-in air or the sucked-in vapor.

[0023] In expedient further developments, the intake opening is arranged or accommodated in an upper section of the vapor shield device. Preferably, the intake opening is arranged in a front section of the vapor shield device facing the installation device. In particular, the vapor shield device is designed to be substantially cuboid-shaped.

[0024] The cookware is, in particular, a container for preparing food or meals, such as a pot, a pan, a roasting pan, a cooking vessel, and / or a similarly suitable device. The cookware preferably comprises at least one base and at least one wall, wherein, in particular, the base and the wall delimit or confine a receiving volume for accommodating food or meals and / or meals. According to the invention, the cookware is a smart cookware that comprises at least one transmitting / receiving device.

[0025] The cooking system according to the invention has many advantages. A significant advantage is that the control device is suitable and designed to identify at least one piece of cookware, and that the vapor shield device can be moved into the operating position associated with the identified cookware.

[0026] This allows for a particularly user-friendly and convenient adjustment of a vapor deflector to a favorable extension height. If the identity of a cookware item is known, the vapor deflector device can be moved to an extension height that is particularly advantageous while cooking with this cookware or while using this cookware. For example, the vapor deflector device can be moved into an operating position in which the intake opening is located near and, in particular, at largely the same height as the top edge of a cookware placed on the support device, so that rising vapors and / or air can be extracted particularly effectively and powerfully, or even optimally, into the intake opening towards the fan device.

[0027] As a result, the cooking system according to the invention not only enables particularly energy-efficient or, in particular, even energy-saving operation, but also particularly convenient use, since manual adjustment and / or adaptation of the extension height of the vapor screen by a user in frequently changing cooking situations is largely unnecessary.

[0028] Because the control device is suitable and designed to identify at least one piece of cookware, sensors, for example, for detecting the height of a cookware, can largely be dispensed with. Nevertheless, a particularly user-friendly and, above all, robust system is provided. Sensors located near a cooktop quickly become dirty with grease and other contaminants, which not only impairs their function but can also significantly shorten their service life. Regular and often time-consuming cleaning and / or maintenance of sensors is thus eliminated.

[0029] According to the invention, at least one operating position associated with the identity of a cooking utensil is stored in the control device.

[0030] In expedient further developments, at least one operating position assigned to the identity of a cooking utensil is stored by the control device.

[0031] Preferably, each operating position has a different extension height.

[0032] Particularly preferably, at least one operating position associated with the identity of a cookware item can be set by a user. This allows a user to set a particularly user-friendly operating position for a cookware item with a specific identity that corresponds to their wishes, requirements, and / or needs, so that the vapor shield device can be automatically shifted to the operating position corresponding to the user's wishes, requirements, and / or needs when using the cookware item with this specific identity.

[0033] In particular, an operating position assigned by a user to an identity of a cookware is stored in the control device.

[0034] In advantageous further developments, the extension height of at least one operating position can be adjusted by a user. Depending on the task and design, the extension height of at least one operating position can preferably be predetermined.

[0035] In appropriate further developments, the extension height of the vapor shield device can be adjusted by a user. In particular, the extension height of a vapor shield device that has been moved to an operating position can be changed by a user.

[0036] Preferably, an operating position repeatedly set by a user when using a particular cookware is automatically assigned to the identity of that particular cookware.

[0037] Preferably, the control device is suitable and designed to automatically store an operating position repeatedly set by a user when using a specific cookware and to assign it to the identity of this specific cookware.

[0038] In a further development not according to the invention, at least one cooking utensil can be identified by means of at least one recipe sequence program.

[0039] A recipe sequence program is, in particular, a control program, an automatic program, and / or a cooking recipe. The recipe sequence program is preferably provided by an operating device and / or a control element of the cooktop device. Depending on the task and design, the recipe sequence program can also be provided by the control device.

[0040] In a further development not according to the invention, at least the identity of a cooking utensil can be determined by means of at least one recipe sequence program.

[0041] Preferably, the control device determines the identity of the cookware from a user-selectable and / or selected cooking program or recipe. In particular, the identity of a cookware item is predetermined by a recipe sequence program.

[0042] In a further development not according to the invention, the sequence program or recipe can be provided by an operating device. The operating device can be, in particular, a mobile operating device such as a smartphone, a tablet computer, and / or a cloud or a cloud service.

[0043] According to the invention, the cookware is suitable and designed to send at least one signal with at least one identification signature to at least the control device, by means of which the at least one cookware can be identified.

[0044] In particular, at least the identity of the cookware can be determined using the at least one signal. The cookware preferably comprises at least one transmitting / receiving device that is suitable and configured to transmit at least one signal with an identification signature.

[0045] Preferably, the at least one signal is sent via a WLAN, Bluetooth, ZigBee, NFC and / or similar communication connection.

[0046] The control device and / or the hob device preferably comprises at least one communication device by means of which the at least one signal can be received. Depending on the task and design, a communication device can preferably also transmit signals.

[0047] In an example not according to the invention, the control device is suitable and designed to identify the cookware from at least one characteristic value of the cookware.

[0048] In this case, a characteristic is, in particular, a dimension of the cookware, such as a diameter of the base, a diameter and / or circumference of the wall, and / or a height of the cookware. Depending on the task and design, the characteristic can preferably also be a shape or spatial configuration of the cookware and / or correspond to the frequency of use of the cookware by a user.

[0049] Preferably, the control device identifies a cooking utensil placed on the placement device by means of at least one characteristic of this cooking utensil.

[0050] In a further development not according to the invention, the power consumed by at least one heating device can be determined, so that the control device can draw conclusions about the identity of at least one item of cooking utensil from at least the power consumed.

[0051] In this context, consumed power is understood to mean, in particular, power called up and / or absorbed by cookware.

[0052] In an example not according to the invention, the control device can draw conclusions about the identity of at least one item of cooking utensil, in particular one placed on the placement device above the heating device, from at least the power consumed.

[0053] In a further development not according to the invention, the control device and / or the hob device determines at least one diameter, preferably of the base, of a piece of cookware placed on the support device, in particular above the heating device, using at least one power source retrieved from the heating device. In particular, the control device can draw conclusions about the identity of a piece of cookware or identify a piece of cookware from at least one determined diameter.

[0054] In the method according to the invention for operating a cooking system as described above, the vapor shield device is automatically moved into the operating position assigned to the identity of a cooking utensil.

[0055] Preferably, the vapor shield device is automatically moved into at least one operating position associated with an identified cooking utensil.

[0056] The method according to the invention for operating a cooking system also has the advantages of a cooking system according to the invention.

[0057] In particular, the method for operating a cooking system enables the vapor shield device to be moved into the operating position assigned to the identity of a cooking utensil, so that effective and powerful extraction of vapors rising above the cooking surface device is possible in a particularly user-friendly manner.

[0058] Preferably, the control device identifies at least one item of cookware, in particular one placed on the placement device of the hob device.

[0059] Preferably, the control device determines at least one identity of at least one item of cooking utensil, in particular one placed on the placement device.

[0060] Preferably, the control device identifies the identity of several cooking utensils, in particular those placed on the placement device.

[0061] In advantageous further developments, the at least one cooking utensil sends at least one signal with at least one identification signature to the control device and the control device identifies this cooking utensil by means of the at least one identification signature.

[0062] In expedient further developments, at least one piece of cooking utensil sends at least one signal with at least one identification signature to the control device and the control device determines the identity of the at least one piece of cooking utensil by means of the at least one identification signature.

[0063] Preferably, the control device determines the identity of at least one item of cooking utensil, in particular one placed on the placement device, from at least one identification signature.

[0064] Preferably, the at least one signal is sent from the transmitter / receiver device via a WLAN, Bluetooth, ZigBee, NFC and / or similar communication connection.

[0065] In an alternative example not according to the invention, the control device identifies at least one cooking utensil by means of at least one recipe sequence program.

[0066] A recipe sequence program is, in particular, a control program, an automatic program, and / or a cooking recipe. The recipe sequence program is preferably provided by an operating device and / or a control element of the cooktop device. Depending on the task and design, the recipe sequence program can also be provided by the control device.

[0067] In particular, a sequence program or a cooking recipe is provided by an operating device. In particular, an operating device can be, or be provided by, a mobile operating device such as a smartphone, a tablet computer, and / or a cloud or a cloud service.

[0068] In an example not according to the invention, the control device determines the identity of at least one item of cooking utensil from at least one sequence program or cooking recipe, in particular selected by a user.

[0069] In particular, the identity of a cookware item is predetermined by a recipe sequence program.

[0070] In expedient further developments, a user selects and / or determines a cookware item or an identity of a cookware item that is used in the recipe sequence program and / or to which the recipe sequence program is directed. Particularly when a user uses a cookware item that differs from that provided in the recipe sequence program, the extension height can preferably be adapted to the cookware item used by the user.

[0071] In an example not according to the invention, the control device draws conclusions about the identity of a cookware item from at least one characteristic value of that cookware item.

[0072] In this case, a characteristic is, in particular, a dimension of the cookware, such as a diameter of the base, a diameter and / or a circumference of the wall. Depending on the task and design, the characteristic can preferably also be a shape of the cookware and / or correspond to the frequency of use of the cookware by a user.

[0073] In expedient further developments, the control device and / or the cooking surface device determines the power consumed by at least one heating device and the control device draws conclusions about the identity of at least one item of cooking utensil from at least the power consumed.

[0074] The power consumed is in particular the power called up and / or absorbed by the cookware.

[0075] Preferably, the control device draws conclusions about the intensity of at least one cooking utensil placed on the placement device from at least the power consumed by at least one heating device.

[0076] Particularly preferably, the vapor shield device is moved to an intermediate position if the identity of the cookware cannot be clearly determined.

[0077] In this case, an intermediate position is in particular a position which has an extension height which lies between the extension heights of the at least two operating positions.

[0078] In particular, the identity of the cookware cannot be clearly determined if, for example, two cookware items placed on the installation device have the same diameter and the diameter of one cookware item is used as a characteristic value to identify the cookware placed on the installation device.

[0079] In expedient developments, the vapor shield device is displaced into an intermediate position when multiple cooking utensils are identified and their identities are assigned to at least two different operating positions, each with a different extension height. In particular, the vapor shield device is then preferably displaced into an operating position having an extension height that is smaller than the height of a first identified cooking utensil and greater than the height of a second identified cooking utensil. The height of the first identified cooking utensil is preferably greater than the height of the second identified cooking utensil. This embodiment is particularly expedient when a frying process is carried out at one of the cooking stations.

[0080] If several cooking utensils are identified and their identities are assigned to at least two different operating positions, each with a different extension height, an alternative embodiment provides that the vapor shield device is then preferably moved into an operating position which is equal to or greater than the extension height of the higher of the two identified cooking utensils. A special embodiment of this alternative provides that the vapor shield device is then moved into an operating position which is equal to or greater than the sum of the heights of the two identified cooking utensils or which is equal to or greater than twice the average of the heights of the two identified cooking utensils. In any case, the vapor shield device is moved into an operating position which is equal to or less than the maximum extension height of the device. This embodiment is particularly useful when a cooking process, particularly with strong steam development, is carried out on several cooking areas at the same time.

[0081] Further advantages and features of the present invention will become apparent from the embodiments which are explained below with reference to the accompanying figures.

[0082] The figures show: Figure 1 shows a purely schematic representation of an embodiment of a cooking system according to the invention in a sectional view from the side; Figure 2 shows a purely schematic representation of a further embodiment of a cooking system according to the invention in a sectional view from the side; Figure 3 shows a purely schematic representation of a non-inventive embodiment of a cooking system in a sectional view from the side; and Figure 4 shows a purely schematic representation of a non-inventive embodiment of a Cooking system in a sectional view from the side

[0083] In Figure 1 An embodiment of a cooking system 1 according to the invention is shown purely schematically in a sectional view from the side.

[0084] The cooking system 1 comprises a control device 2, a cooking hob device 4 and an extractor device 3 designed here as a downdraft fan.

[0085] The cooking hob device 4, which here has a setting device 8 for setting up cooking utensils 9 and a heating device 10 for heating set up cooking utensils 9, is here integrated or accommodated in sections in a worktop 22.

[0086] In the exemplary embodiment shown here, a cooking utensil 9 is placed on the support device 8 of the hob device 4. The cooking utensil 9, which is designed here as a pot, has a height of 19 and a diameter of 18.

[0087] The extractor device 3 here comprises a fan device and a displaceable vapor shield device 5 with a filter device 15 and with an intake opening 6 in operative connection to the fan device 7. The intake opening 6 is received here on an upper section of the vapor shield device 5 facing the cooking surface device 4, so that the vapors rising from the cookware 9 and / or from the cooking surface device 4 during cooking can be sucked into the intake opening 6 and discharged downwards through the filter device 15 to the fan device 7.

[0088] In the exemplary embodiment shown here, the vapor shield device 5 can be automatically moved by means of a drive device into two operating positions 11, 12, each with a different extension height 13, 14. In the operating position 11, the vapor shield device 5 has an extension height 13 in which the suction opening 6 is essentially at the same height as the upper edge of the cookware 9 placed on the stand 8. Thus, the height 19 of the cookware 9 largely corresponds to the height at which the suction opening 6 is arranged in the operating position 11. In the operating position 12, which is indicated here by dashed lines, the vapor shield device 5 has an extension height 14 in which the suction opening 6 is essentially at a height above the upper edge of the cookware 9 placed on the stand 8.

[0089] In the exemplary embodiment shown here, the vapor shield device 5 can additionally be displaced into an intermediate position 21 (not shown in detail here), in which the extension height of the vapor shield device is less than the extension height 14 of the operating position 12 and greater than the extension height 13 of the operating position 11. Furthermore, the vapor shield device 5 can be displaced here into a rest position (not shown in detail), in which the vapor shield device 5 is arranged substantially below the worktop 22. Depending on the task and design, the vapor shield device can also be displaced largely continuously by means of the drive device.

[0090] In the exemplary embodiment shown here, a plurality of operating positions 11, 12, each with a different extension height 13, 14, is stored or saved on the control device 2, each assigned to at least one identity of a piece of cooking utensil 9. Depending on the task and design, the identity of a piece of cooking utensil 9 or a specific piece of cooking utensil 9 can be assigned to an operating position 11, 12 manually by a user and / or the identity of a piece of cooking utensil 9 can be assigned to an operating position 12, 13 in advance. It is also possible here for the control device to automatically recognise an operating position 11, 12 repeatedly set by a user when using a specific piece of cooking utensil 9 and to assign this operating position to the identity of this piece of cooking utensil 9. Depending on the task and design, different pieces of cooking utensil 9, i.e. cookware 9 with different identities of one or more pieces of cooking utensils, can be controlled or saved.the same operating position 11, 12 or each identity of a cooking utensil 9 can be assigned a different or separate operating position 11, 12.

[0091] The control device is designed and configured to determine the identity of a cooking utensil 9 and to control the drive device. Thus, according to a method according to the invention for operating a cooking system 1, the vapor shield device 5 can be moved into the operating position 11, 12 associated with the determined identity of a cooking utensil 9.

[0092] In Figure 2 A further embodiment of a cooking system 1 according to the invention is shown purely schematically in a sectional view from the side.

[0093] The embodiment shown here includes all versions of the cooking system 1 from Figure 1, however, here the control device 2 has a communication device 17 and a cooking utensil 9 placed on the placement device 8 comprises a transmitting / receiving device 16, which is indicated purely schematically here.

[0094] The communication device 17 and the transceiver 16 are designed and configured to communicate wirelessly, at least temporarily, via a Bluetooth connection. Depending on the task and configuration, communication between the communication device 17 and the transceiver 16 can also take place via a similarly suitable communication connection, such as a Wi-Fi, ZigBee, and / or NFC connection. It is also possible for the transceiver 16 to be designed and configured only for transmitting a signal, while the communication device 17 is designed and configured only for receiving a signal.

[0095] Thus, in the embodiment shown here, the cookware 9 placed on the stand 8 can send a signal with an identification signature to the control device 2.

[0096] Consequently, according to a method for operating a cooking system 1, the control device 2 can identify the set-up cooking utensil 9 by means of the identification signature and the vapor shield device 5 can be automatically moved into an operating position 11, 12 assigned to the identity of this cooking utensil 9 and stored here on the control device 2.

[0097] In the exemplary embodiment shown here, the vapor shield device 5 is moved into an operating position 11 with an extension height 13, which is assigned to the identity of the cookware 9 placed there. In the operating position 11 shown here, the suction opening 6 is arranged largely at the height 19 of the cookware 9 placed here on the stand 8, i.e. the suction opening 6 is essentially at the same height as the upper edge of the cookware 9. The extractor device 3 can therefore particularly effectively and powerfully suck in vapors rising from the cookware, for example during cooking, into the suction opening 6 and discharge them downwards through the filter device 15 to the fan device 7.

[0098] In Figure 3 A non-inventive embodiment of a cooking system 1 according to the invention is shown purely schematically in a sectional view from the side.

[0099] The embodiment shown here includes all versions of the cooking system 1 from Figure 1 . As in Figure 1 The extractor device 3 here comprises a vapor screen device 5 with an intake opening 6 in operative connection to a fan device 7 and the hob device 4 here comprises a setting device 8 for setting up cooking utensils 9 and a heating device 10 for heating set up cooking utensils 9.

[0100] In the exemplary embodiment shown here, the control device 2 is suitable and designed to identify a piece of cookware 9 from at least one characteristic variable of this cookware 9. For this purpose, the hob device 4 is suitable and designed to determine the power consumed by the heating device 10 or the power required to heat the cookware 9 placed on the stand 8 and to transmit this data to the control device 2. In the exemplary embodiment shown here, the power consumed is transmitted via a cable connection between the hob device 4 and the control device 2. Depending on the task and design, the power consumed or the current power can be transmitted wirelessly.

[0101] Thus, according to a method for operating a cooking system 1, the control device 2 can draw conclusions about the identity of the cookware 9 placed here on the placement device 8 from the power consumed, in that the control device in this case deduces the diameter 18 of the placed cookware 9 from the power consumed, or in this case determines the diameter 18 of the cookware 9 and the vapor shield device 5 is automatically moved into an operating position 11 assigned to the identity of this cookware 9 and stored here on the control device 2.

[0102] Depending on the task and design, the control device can also draw conclusions about the identity of the cookware placed on the stove from another characteristic value of the cookware.

[0103] If, in the exemplary embodiment shown here, the control device 2 cannot clearly identify the cooking utensil 9 placed on the placement device 8, because, for example, two or more cooking utensils have the same diameter or several cooking utensils are identified and their identities are assigned to at least two different operating positions, then the vapor shield device 5 is moved to an intermediate position 21 or to the greatest of the determined extension heights.

[0104] In Figure 4 A non-inventive embodiment of a cooking system 1 according to the invention is shown purely schematically in a sectional view from the side.

[0105] The embodiment shown here includes all versions of the cooking system 1 from Figure 1 . As in Figure 1The cooking system comprises a control device 2, an extractor device 3 with a movable vapor screen device 5 and a cooking surface device 4 with a setting device 8 for setting up cooking utensils 9 and a heating device 10 for heating set up cooking utensils 9. The control device is suitable and designed to identify a cooking utensil 9 by means of a recipe sequence program.

[0106] In the exemplary embodiment presented here, such a sequence program or recipe is provided by an operating device 20. Depending on the task and design, the operating device 20 can be stationary and / or mobile. For example, the operating device 20 can be provided in a stationary manner by the cooktop device or the extractor hood device 3 and / or in a mobile manner by, for example, a smartphone, tablet computer, or a cloud service.

[0107] The sequence program or the cooking recipe contains information about the identity of the cookware 9 to be used during a sequence of the recipe sequence program or cooking recipe. Depending on the task and design, a user can also select and / or set a specific cookware 9 or an identity of a cookware 9 in the recipe sequence program, e.g. according to the desired amount of food to be prepared.

[0108] In the exemplary embodiment shown here, the sequence program or cooking recipe is selected by a user on the operating device 20. The operating device 20 transmits the identity of the cookware 9 predetermined by the recipe sequence program to the control device 2.

[0109] Thus, according to a method for operating a cooking system 1, the control device 2 can identify the cookware 9 placed here on the placement device 8 by means of a recipe sequence program and the vapor shield device 5 can be automatically moved into an operating position 11 assigned to the identity of this cookware 9 and stored here on the control device 2.

[0110] In the exemplary embodiment shown here, the vapor shield device 5 is displaced into an operating position 11 with an extension height 13, which is assigned to the identity of the cookware 9 placed there. In the operating position 11 shown here, the intake opening 6 is arranged largely at the height 19 of the cookware 9 placed here on the stand 8, i.e. the intake opening 6 is essentially at the same height as the upper edge of the cookware 9. The extractor device 3 can therefore particularly effectively and powerfully suck in vapors rising from the cookware, for example during cooking, into the intake opening 6 and discharge them downwards through the filter device 15 to the fan device 7.
