Description
[0001] The invention relates to a tilting vehicle with a luggage fastening device for fastening a piece of luggage to the tilting vehicle.
[0002] Storage space is often very limited on tilting vehicles, such as motorcycles or scooters. If luggage is to be carried, it can be stored in side cases or top cases, for example, provided these are available and have sufficient capacity.
[0003] Alternatively, larger and / or flexible items of luggage, in particular, are often secured to the vehicle using tensioning straps or ropes. However, suitable attachment points on the vehicle must be found to ensure secure lashing.
[0004] In addition, when not in use, the tensioning straps or ropes must be safely stowed in the vehicle to ensure they are readily available when needed. Since they are always separate accessories, the tensioning straps or ropes can easily get lost.
[0005] CH 234 492 A relates to a fastening device comprising a winch arranged in a housing and provided with a band-shaped fastening element. The winch, which can be rotated by means of a hand lever, is provided with a ratchet wheel, into whose notches a spring-loaded, pivoting locking bolt engages. The locking bolt can be lifted from the notches by means of a key that can be inserted axially into the winch hub. DE102007045514 discloses the features of the preamble of claim 1.
[0006] An object of the invention is to provide a fastening device for a piece of luggage on a tilting vehicle in order to reduce or avoid at least one of the disadvantages mentioned.
[0007] The object is achieved by a motorcycle or scooter or snowmobile with a luggage fastening device according to the subject matter of patent claim 1. Advantageous embodiments emerge from the patent claims dependent thereon.
[0008] Accordingly, a tilting vehicle is provided with a luggage fastening device for fastening a piece of luggage to the tilting vehicle. The luggage fastening device comprises at least one tensioning element which, in an operating position, is designed to at least partially encompass the piece of luggage. The at least one tensioning element is connected to a stowage device at a first end and has a free second end which is designed for releasable connection to a holding section of the tilting vehicle. Furthermore, the stowage device is designed for selectively receiving and removing at least one section of the at least one tensioning element.
[0009] For the purposes of this description, tilting vehicles include, in particular, motorcycles, but also scooters, such as two-, three-, or four-wheeled scooters, as well as trikes and quads. However, they can also be used in other motor vehicles with a corresponding seating arrangement, such as snowmobiles.
[0010] The tilting vehicle thus has the luggage fastening device, which makes it possible to secure luggage to the vehicle. For this purpose, it has one or more tensioning elements. These are each connected to the stowage device at a first end and can also be attached to the vehicle at the second end to secure the luggage. The respective tensioning element can be placed over the luggage and, with a section located between the first and second ends, can act on it, thus clamping it against the vehicle to hold it in the desired position.
[0011] As described, the at least one tensioning element is connected to the stowage device at one end. The connection can, for example, be designed to form a firm and permanent connection. Connecting the first end to the stowage device already offers the advantage that the respective tensioning element cannot be lost when not in use.
[0012] In order to store the respective clamping element in the stowed position, especially when not in use, and to keep it safe for later use, the stowage device can accommodate the respective clamping element in its entirety or only in sections. When the clamping element is to be used, the respective clamping element can be removed from the stowage device, at least in sections.
[0013] According to one embodiment of the stowage device, the at least one tensioning element can be retractably removed from the stowage device in order to move the at least one tensioning element from the stowed position into the operating position. This means that the at least one tensioning element can be easily deployed when needed by pulling it out of the stowage device.
[0014] Preferably, the at least one tensioning element is designed as a belt or rope.
[0015] Additionally, the at least one tensioning element can have a fastening element, in particular a hook-shaped fastening element, at the second end, which is designed for releasable connection to the holding section. The holding section can, for example, have an eyelet or a recess into which the hook-shaped fastening element can engage. For example, the hook-shaped fastening element can be designed to be self-locking, for example, as a so-called snap hook.
[0016] Furthermore, the storage device can be designed to selectively roll up or unroll the at least one tensioning element. This offers the possibility of storing the respective tensioning element easily and in a space-saving manner. For this purpose, the storage device can comprise a winding means. This can be designed, for example, as a rotatable roller or drum, onto whose outer surface the tensioning element can be rolled up or from whose outer surface the tensioning element can be unrolled.
[0017] According to one embodiment, the winding means can be designed to automatically wind up the at least one tensioning element. For example, the winding means can additionally comprise a reset device that actuates the winding means when necessary to automatically wind up the at least one tensioning element.
[0018] If the winding means is designed, for example, as a roller or drum, the winding means can comprise a return device designed as a spring element. The winding means can be designed such that the winding means or the return device is already pre-tensioned when the tensioning element is unwinding, preferably due to the unwinding movement. Subsequently, the return device can cause the winding means to automatically rewind in the opposite direction due to the pre-tension.
[0019] As an alternative to mechanically generating the pre-tension by means of a spring element, the winding means can, for example, have a drive, in particular an electric motor drive, which sets the winding means in a corresponding movement when required to roll up the at least one tensioning element.
[0020] Furthermore, the stowage device can have a locking means designed to lock the at least one tensioning element in a partially or fully unrolled state relative to the stowage device. The locking means can, for example, be a self-locking locking device that prevents further unrolling of the tensioning element when locked. This means that subsequent continuation of the unrolling of the tensioning element is prevented in order to prevent inadvertently releasing the fastening or bracing of the luggage item. The locking means can, for example, comprise a mechanical locking element.
[0021] The storage device is located underneath a seat.
[0022] This allows the storage device to be positioned discreetly and space-optimized in the tilting vehicle. This positioning allows at least one tensioning element below the seat to be pulled out of the storage device when necessary, allowing a piece of luggage to be positioned and secured on the seat.
[0023] For example, at least one opening of the stowage device, which is provided for the selective accommodation and removal of the at least one tensioning element, can be assigned to a first end of the seat and the holding section can be assigned to a second end of the seat. The first end and the second end can be provided opposite one another on the seat. Preferably, the seat is a pillion seat or a rear seat section of a seat bench. For example, the first end forms the front end of the seat in a longitudinal direction of the seat (when installed, this longitudinal direction corresponds to a longitudinal direction of the vehicle). Accordingly, the second end opposite this end forms the rear end of the seat.
[0024] Of course, a reverse arrangement is also possible, whereby the rear end of the seat forms the first end and the front end forms the second end.
[0025] Alternatively, an orientation in a transverse direction of the vehicle is also possible. In this case, the first end is formed by a left-hand side edge of the seat and the second end by a right-hand side edge of the seat. A reverse orientation is also possible, with the first end being formed by a right-hand side edge of the seat and the second end being formed by a left-hand side edge of the seat.
[0026] In each of these cases, this arrangement allows the item of luggage to be easily positioned and secured on the seat by stretching the at least one tensioning element over the item of luggage and releasably connecting it to the holding section.
[0027] As an alternative to arranging the stowage device below a seat, it is also possible to arrange it on a side of the vehicle or in the area of a vehicle tank or in the area of a front wheel or at another suitable location on the tilting vehicle in order to secure the item of luggage at these locations by means of a luggage fastening device arranged there in accordance with this description.
[0028] The invention will be explained in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment with reference to the drawings. In the drawings: Fig. 1: a perspective view of a rear vehicle part of a tilting vehicle with a luggage fastening device according to the description, Fig. 2: a perspective view of the luggage fastening device according to Fig. 1 , and Fig. 3: a perspective view of the rear part of the vehicle according to Fig. 1 in loaded condition.
[0029] Fig. 1 shows a perspective view of a rear vehicle part 11 of a tilting vehicle 1 with a two-part seat 12. This comprises a driver's seat 12a and a pillion seat 12b. Furthermore, a luggage fastening device 13 is provided, which is designed to fasten a piece of luggage 14 to the tilting vehicle 1. A loaded state with the piece of luggage 14 arranged on the pillion seat 12b is shown in Fig. 3 shown. Fig. 2 shows a detailed view of the corresponding luggage fastening device 13.
[0030] According to the presentation in the Fig. 1 bis 3 The luggage fastening device 13 comprises two clamping elements 15. These are in the Fig. 3 The luggage 14 is placed over the luggage in the illustrated operating position and grips it section by section. The luggage 14 is clamped against the vehicle 1 or against the pillion seat 12b by means of the clamping elements 15 and thus held there in the desired position.
[0031] For this purpose, the two tensioning elements 15 are each connected by a first end 15a to a stowage device 16. The connection of the first end 15a is designed as a fixed and permanent connection, so that the respective tensioning element 15 cannot be lost when not in use. A free second end 15b of the respective tensioning element 15, arranged opposite the first end 15a, is designed for releasable connection to a holding section 17 of the tilting vehicle 1.
[0032] In addition, the stowage device 16 is designed for the selective reception and removal of at least one section of the respective clamping element 15. Thus, the respective clamping element 15 can be stowed in the stowed position, particularly when not in use, and stored for later use. If the clamping elements 15 are to be used, the respective clamping element 15 can be removed again, at least in sections, from the stowage device 16. For this purpose, the two clamping elements 15 are each designed to be extendable from the stowage device 16 in order to move the clamping elements 15 from the stowed position to the operating position as needed.
[0033] The two tensioning elements 15 are each designed as a cable, for example. Alternatively, the respective tensioning element 15 can also be designed as a belt.
[0034] To secure the second end 15b, each of the two tensioning elements 15 comprises a fastening element 15c at the second end 15b for releasably connecting to the holding section 17. According to the illustrated embodiment, the fastening element 15c is designed as a hook-shaped fastening element 15c. For example, the hook-shaped fastening element 15c is provided as a so-called snap hook, although other shapes can of course also be used that enable engagement with the holding section 17 or engagement behind the holding section 17 to create a releasable connection. The holding section 17 can, for example, have an eyelet or a recess into which the hook-shaped fastening element 15c can engage.
[0035] In addition, the stowage device 16 is designed for selectively rolling up or unrolling the two tensioning elements 15. For this purpose, the stowage device 16 comprises a winding means for automatically rolling up the tensioning elements 15. With the aid of this winding means, the two tensioning elements 15 can be pulled out of the stowage device in order to secure the piece of luggage 14. If the tensioning elements 15 are to be stowed, they can be rolled up again with the aid of the winding means and thus stowed on the stowage device or inside the stowage device 16. In the case shown, the stowage device 16 forms a corresponding housing for receiving the tensioning elements 15 in an interior space formed in the housing.
[0036] To prevent further unrolling and thus unintentional release of the fastening of the luggage item 14, the stowage device 16 has a locking means. This is designed to lock the respective tensioning element 15 in a partially or fully unrolled state on or in the stowage device 16. The locking means can, for example, be a self-locking locking device which, in the locked state, prevents further unrolling of the respective tensioning element 15. This means that a subsequent continuation of the unrolling of the tensioning element 15 is prevented in order to prevent unintentional release of the fastening of the luggage item 14.
[0037] As can be seen from the Fig. 1 bis 3 As can be seen, the storage device 16 is arranged below a pillion seat 12b. This offers the possibility of positioning the storage device 16 in the tilting vehicle 1 inconspicuously and in a space-optimized manner. This positioning makes it possible to pull the two clamping elements 15 out of the storage device 16 below the pillion seat 12b if necessary and to insert the luggage item 14 to be secured - as shown in Fig. 3 shown - on the pillion seat 12b and secure it there.
[0038] As can be seen in the illustrated embodiment, an opening 16a of the stowage device 16, which is provided for the selective accommodation and removal of one of the clamping elements 15, is assigned to a first end 12c of the pillion seat 12b, and the holding section 17 is assigned to a second end 12d of the pillion seat 12b. The first end 12c and the second end 12d are provided opposite one another on the pillion seat 12b. According to the illustrated embodiment, the pillion seat 12b is designed as a separate seat. Alternatively (and therefore not shown), the pillion seat 12b can also be designed as the rear seat section of a seat bench. In this case, the openings 16a could be positioned between a front seat section for the driver and the rear seat section for the pillion passenger.
[0039] For example, the first end 12c of the pillion seat 12b forms the front end of the pillion seat 12b in a longitudinal direction L of the pillion seat 12b (in the installed state, this longitudinal direction corresponds to a vehicle longitudinal direction of the tilting vehicle 1). Accordingly, the opposite second end 12d forms the rear end of the pillion seat 12b.
[0040] Of course, according to an embodiment not shown, a reverse orientation is also possible, whereby the rear end of the seat forms the first end and the front end the second end. However, an orientation in a transverse direction Q of the vehicle is also possible.
[0041] In each of these cases, this arrangement allows the luggage item 14 to be easily positioned (in the height direction H) on the pillion seat 12b and secured there by tensioning the two tensioning elements 12b over the luggage item 14 and releasably connecting them to the holding section 17.
