Description
[0001] The invention relates to a roof element according to claim 1, comprising a roof panel, in particular a fiber cement panel, for covering a roof, and comprising a mounting rail mounted on the roof panel, which has at least one suspension element which can be brought into engagement with a roof batten of the roof to be covered, and a laying system.
[0002] Common roof tile installation systems such as rhombus, rhombus template, single roofing, etc. have previously been carried out by well-trained specialists using hammers, nails and drills.
[0003] However, since fewer and fewer such skilled personnel have reached professional maturity in recent years, the demand for roofing work to be carried out can no longer be adequately met, which is why efforts are being made to simplify the work to be carried out so that roofing can also be carried out by untrained personnel.
[0004] DE 90 02 798 U1 and EP 2 784 241 B1 specify systems with roof panels and mounting rails.
[0005] DE 20 2015 003 114 U1 specifies a roof panel into which a mounting rail with a suspension element is embedded, thus forming an integral part of the roof panel. The mounting rail is cast into the roof panel.
[0006] The object of the invention is therefore to provide a roof element with a roof panel which makes installation much easier so that it can be carried out even by less well-trained specialists and in a time-saving manner.
[0007] According to the invention, this is achieved in that the roof element comprises the features of claim 1, in that the mounting rail is mounted in the ridge-side region of the roof panel, and the mounting rail comprises two parallel receiving sections spaced apart from one another at a distance equal to the thickness of the roof panel, which form a compartment-like receptacle into which the roof panel is inserted with an edge region and this edge region is fixed in the receptacle.
[0008] The mounting rail is preferably attached to the roof panel at the factory. When installing a roof, the roof element according to the invention simplifies the process by suspending the roof panel with its mounting rail from the horizontal battens and attaching it to them. The defined alignment of the roof panel thus created facilitates its fixation in a predefined arrangement pattern.
[0009] The roof battens can be designed as conventional roof battens, e.g. made of wood, metal or similar of a known roof support construction, but they can also be in the equivalent form of any other roof construction which fulfils the purpose of a horizontal subdivision.
[0010] Because the mounting rail is attached to the ridge side of the roof panel, the roof panel can be securely suspended and the mounting rail can be easily attached to the roof panel.
[0011] In a further embodiment of the invention, a sealing strip can be provided in the longitudinal direction of the mounting rail. This sealing strip prevents the penetration of drifting snow, rain, or other particles and also allows for a lower roof pitch.
[0012] The mounting rail can be made of appropriately suitable materials; for example, according to a further embodiment of the invention, the mounting rail can be an easily manufactured and stable bent sheet metal part that is fixed to the roof panel.
[0013] The fastening of the mounting rail is preferably carried out at the factory and, according to a further embodiment of the invention, the mounting rail can be fastened to the roof panel, in particular screwed to the roof panel.
[0014] The mounting rail can also be fixed to the roof panel using other fastening methods, such as riveting, gluing or pressing, etc.
[0015] In order to enable easy hooking into the horizontal roof battens when laying the roof panels, the mounting rail can extend with its longitudinal axis parallel to an edge of the roof panel, whereby this edge is preferably the ridge-side edge of the roof panel.
[0016] In a further embodiment of the invention, the at least one suspension element can be formed by a leg protruding from the mounting rail at a right angle, which can be suspended, for example, in the upper side of a roof batten.
[0017] The mounting rail can be attached to the roof panel in a suitable manner, whereby a very good connection of the mounting rail to the roof panel can be achieved by screwing the edge area of the roof panel into the compartment-like holder.
[0018] The parallel mounting sections allow the roof panel to be clamped from two sides to ensure secure fixation.
[0019] In addition to the hanging function, the mounting rail also provides a spacer function so that the roof panel row following in the ridge direction is aligned parallel to the roof panel row to be covered.
[0020] For this purpose, according to a further embodiment of the invention, the mounting rail can have at least one support surface spaced parallel to the plane of the roof panel, which serves to support a roof panel that is subsequently installed during the roofing process and partially covers the roof panel. Furthermore, the spacing between the rows of roof panels created by the support surfaces is suitable for counteracting capillary action.
[0021] According to a further embodiment of the invention, two or more support surfaces can be formed which are spaced apart from one another in the longitudinal direction of the mounting rail.
[0022] In a further embodiment of the invention, the support surfaces can be extensions of one of the parallel receiving sections in some areas, whereby the support surfaces do not have to be provided separately.
[0023] In order to prevent the support surfaces from giving way under the weight of the following row of roof panels, a further development of the invention can provide that the at least one support surface has a bent end region which is supported on the roof panel.
[0024] According to a further embodiment of the invention, it has been found to be advantageous that the at least one suspension element can be brought into load-bearing engagement with the roof batten of the roof to be covered by hanging it in the ridge-side area of the roof batten.
[0025] When installing the roof panel, it is first hooked onto the roof batten using the hooking element and then fixed to it.
[0026] In a further embodiment of the invention, at least part of the mounting rail can extend along the outside of the roof panel. This allows for support or spacing of subsequent roof panels.
[0027] Furthermore, the invention relates to a laying system with a roof element according to the invention, which enables a very precise and rapid laying of the roof element according to the invention, in particular its roof panels.
[0028] This is achieved by providing an elongated joint strip which is inserted between each two adjacent roof panels of a row of roof panels, the joint strip comprising a spacer web extending in the longitudinal direction and support sections on both sides of the spacer web which are covered by the adjacent roof panels.
[0029] When laying roof panels, which are suspended next to each other in roof battens using the suspension elements, precise spacing of the roof panels can be achieved by inserting the joint strip between two adjacent roof panels.
[0030] The invention will be explained in detail below with reference to the exemplary embodiments shown in the drawings. Fig.1 an oblique view of an embodiment of the roof element according to the invention; Fig.2 a cross section through a mounting rail of the roof element according to the invention according to Fig.1 in the area of a supporting surface; Fig.3 a partial sectional view through an embodiment of a laying system using a roof element Fig.1 ; Fig.4 an enlarged side view of a roof element according to Fig.1 ; Fig.5 a partial oblique view of the roof element according to Fig.1 ; Fig.6 another partial oblique view of the roof element according to Fig.1 when attaching the mounting rail; Fig.7 a partial oblique view of an embodiment of a laying system with the roof element according to Fig.1 ; Fig.8 an oblique view of a joint strip of the installation system according to Fig.7 and Fig.9 a top view of a roof section with the installation system according to Fig.7 .
[0031] Fig.1 shows a roof panel 1 in the form of a fiber cement panel for covering a roof with a mounting rail 2 attached to the roof panel 1 according to the invention, which in Fig.2 is shown in detail. As in Fig.5 und 6 The mounting rail is shown as factory-screwed to the roof panel. Any other form of fastening, such as riveting, gluing, joining, etc., can also be used. The mounting rail 2 could also be attached to the roof panel 1 on-site, for example, at the construction site; however, the labor involved would naturally be significantly greater.
[0032] Within the scope of the invention, the roof panel 1 is not restricted in any way with regard to the material or shape, and can also be made of materials other than fiber cement or can take on shapes other than the rectangular shape shown in the exemplary embodiment.
[0033] Mounting rail 2 is designed as a bent and stamped sheet metal part, but can also be manufactured in another equivalent form. The sheet metal construction offers the advantage of high stability and low weight.
[0034] The mounting rail 2 extends with its longitudinal axis parallel to an edge of the roof panel 1, which edge in this case is the ridge-side edge of the roof panel 1 ( Fig.1 and 3 ). The mounting rail 2 is fixed in the ridge area, along the ridge edge of the roof panel 1.
[0035] Fig.4 and 5 further show in detail that in the mounted state of the mounting rail 2 on the roof panel 1, a sealing strip 17 is provided in the longitudinal direction of the mounting rail 2, which is clamped on the outside (weather side) of the roof panel 1 between the roof panel 1 and the mounting rail 2, wherein the clamping area is in the area of the ridge side of the respective roof panel 1.
[0036] The mounting rail 2 has - in the ridge-side condition - a suspension element 3 which can be brought into load-bearing engagement with a horizontal roof batten 25 of the roof to be covered, namely on the ridge side of the roof batten 25, by hanging in the ridge-side area of the roof batten 25, wherein the suspension element 3 is formed by a leg protruding from the mounting rail 2 at a right angle towards the interior of the roof ( Fig.2 ).
[0037] The mounting rail 2 is firmly connected to the roof panel 1 to a sufficient extent to enable secure attachment to the roof 10. For this purpose, the mounting rail 2 has two parallel receiving sections 4, 5 ( Fig.2 ) which form a compartment-like receptacle into which the roof panel 1 can be inserted with a ridge-side edge area and which can be fixed, in particular screwed, in the receptacle.
[0038] Fig.3 shows the roof batten 25 of a roof 10, into which the roof panel 1 is suspended with the mounting rail 2 on the ridge side of the roof batten 25, wherein the mounting rail 2 is fixed to the roof batten 25 via a fastening screw 21, wherein the fastening screw 21 is guided through a bevelled area 9 of the receiving section 4 ( Fig.2 ) in order to allow a higher tightening pressure when screwing in the fastening screw 21. As soon as the roof panels 1 of a row of roof panels are hung on the batten 25 and fixed to the roof batten 25 by screwing the mounting rail 2, the next highest row of roof panels in the direction of the ridge is hung with the roof panel 1' into the roof batten above it (not shown), thereby covering the row of roof panels 1 arranged below it. In addition, as storm protection, the roof panel 1' is fastened to the mounting rail 2 at its eaves-side end with a screw 22. The fastening could also be done by nailing or the like.
[0039] In order to achieve a completely parallel arrangement of the roof panels 1 and 1', the mounting rail 2 has four support surfaces 6 spaced parallel to the plane of the roof panel 1 ( Fig.1 ), which serve to support the roof panel 1' which follows during the roof covering process and partially covers the roof panel 1, thus a part of the mounting rail 2, namely the support surfaces 6, extends on the outside of the roof panel 1.
[0040] Fig.1 shows the spaced arrangement of the four support surfaces 6 along the longitudinal direction of the mounting rail 2, whereby the number of support surfaces can be freely selected.
[0041] In order to stabilize the support surfaces 6 at their free end, they have a bent end region 7 ( Fig.3 ), which is supported on the roof slab 1 in order to transfer the weight load from the roof slabs 1' above it.
[0042] A laying system using roof elements according to the invention is described in Fig.7, 8 and 9 shown.
[0043] In this case, an elongated joint strip 35 is provided, which runs at a right angle to the horizontal roof battens and is formed by a sheet metal profile and has a spacer web 40 extending in the longitudinal direction and support sections 41, 42 on both sides of the spacer web 40 ( Fig.8 ). The spacer web 40 is designed by a curvature of the sheet metal profile in such a way that it defines the distance between adjacent roof panels 1 in a row of roof panels, by laying these panels in such a way that they are brought into contact on both sides of the spacer web 40.
[0044] When laying the roof panels, the joint strip 35 is inserted between two adjacent roof panels 1 of a roof panel row, whereby the joint strip 35 is covered by the adjacent roof panels and only the top side of the spacer bar remains visible.
[0045] With the roof element according to the invention and the installation system, the realization of various roof structures is possible, e.g. the execution of continuous joints, a regular or irregular joint offset, etc.
