[0001] The invention relates to a hunting or sporting weapon with a low-profile breech according to the preamble of claim 1.

Claims

1. A hunting or sporting weapon with a repeating function, in which the ammunition is reloaded from a magazine into the cartridge chamber in the weapon barrel (1) via a manually operated mechanism, comprising a breech (3) that can be operated via a chamber handle (10) and, depending on the operation, covers the breech guide or the magazine well of the weapon and locks a breech head (25) in the barrel (1) or, in the open position, performs a reload, and comprising a firing pin spring (28) and a firing pin (19), wherein the breech (3) is designed as a breech housing (30) that is graded in height, which consists of a front higher part (30a) corresponding to the height of the weapon barrel (1), to which a part (30b, 30c) with a reduced height is connected via a recess (31), and wherein the firing pin spring (28) and the firing pin (19) are offset in height relative to each other.
