[0001] The invention relates to an iron soleplate, an iron, and a method for manufacturing an iron soleplate. Iron soleplates are typically made of stainless steel, Teflon, or ceramic. While a stainless steel soleplate is more durable than a ceramic or Teflon soleplate, it has disadvantages in terms of gliding properties.
