Abstract
Description
Technical field of the invention
[0001] The present invention relates to the field of headlamps and in particular a headband for holding a headlamp. State of the art
[0002] There are many types of headbands for headlamps. The increasing power of the latest headlamps has led to the design of particularly sophisticated headbands to hold not only the headlamp located at the front of the user's head, but also the large battery located at the back which powers the lamp.
[0003] There figure 1This illustrates an example of a well-known solution used for a high-power lamp marketed by the Applicant of this patent application. It shows a headband comprising two parts: a first part 110 located at the front, to which a headlamp housing 100 is attached, and a second part located at the rear. The second part includes a support 140 for holding an electric battery 150, and a link 130a / 130b connecting the front part 110 to the support 140 of the rear part. A locking device 170 allows the link to be adjusted to fit various head shapes and even a helmet. The electrical connection between the battery 150 and the headlamp housing 100 is made by means of an electrical conductor 160 which, to ensure various adjustment configurations, is in the form of a twist or a spiral 160 allowing the headband to be stretched when it has to be fixed on a large head, or even a safety helmet.
[0004] We realized that the known solution to the figure 1 presents a number of disadvantages.
[0005] Firstly, a significant inconvenience was noted due to the tension of spring 160 – whose return force is necessary to ensure minimal aesthetic support for the electrical conductor – which pulls on one side of the headband. This return force is clearly perceived as a nuisance by the wearer of the lamp, who must also recenter it at regular intervals when engaging in intense activity such as running.
[0006] Secondly, as can be seen in the figure, the spring or spiral 160 is relatively large and bulky and detracts not only from the aesthetics of the entire headband, but also from its compactness.
[0007] In general, we are looking for a support solution that is more discreet, more comfortable and more elegant, while ensuring the headband can be adjusted to fit a wide variety of head sizes and even a safety helmet.
[0008] This is the problem to be solved by the present invention. Description of the invention
[0009] The present invention aims to provide a new headband structure for holding a headlamp, ensuring the electrical connection between a headlamp housing located at the front and a power supply battery located at the rear while reducing the effect of electrical cable tension perceptible to the user.
[0010] Another objective of the present invention is to provide a headlamp structure that is compact and allows adjustment to different head sizes and even a safety helmet.
[0011] Another objective of the present invention is to provide a headlamp headband structure having two parts, respectively front and rear, attached by an adjustment link.
[0012] The invention achieves these goals by means of a new headlamp headband structure comprising a front part and a rear part.
[0013] The front section comprises a strip element configured for attaching a lamp body and featuring two end caps, each with a vertical hole or conduit configured for the sliding passage of an elastic cable tie. One end cap also includes a first protruding attachment clip for creating a horizontal sliding connection with an electrical conductor cord.
[0014] The rear part includes a support for holding an electric battery and a locking lever. The support has two attachment points at its base, left and right respectively, for the two ends of the elastic tensioning strap and also has, in its upper part, two through holes for the passage of the tensioning strap which can be locked by means of a locking device or lever (260).
[0015] According to the invention, the tensioning strap is configured to pass successively from the left-hand fixing point on the base of the support, then through a vertical channel on a first termination of the front part, exiting and reaching the upper left-hand through hole of the support to form an adjustable loop that can be locked by the locking lever. On the right, the elastic tensioning strap exits through the upper right-hand through hole of the support to reach the vertical sliding channel on a second termination of the front part, and then to reach the right-hand fixing on the base of the support.
[0016] The banner also includes: an electrical conductor which has two radii of curvature so as to form a "Z"; a first movable clip positioned at the first radius of curvature to ensure sliding of the electrical conductor cord with the upper part of the elastic clamping link; a second movable clip positioned at the second radius of curvature to allow sliding of said electrical conductor cord with the lower part of the elastic clamping link.
[0017] In a particular embodiment, a termination of the front part provides a double sliding connection, perpendicular to each other, for the electrical cord and the elastic tensioning link.
[0018] Preferably, both ends are made by overmolding or sewing onto the elastic headband element that forms the first part.
[0019] In a particular embodiment, the left and right terminations of the front part have the shape of a substantially square or rectangular loop, one hollow vertical side of which serves as a passage channel for vertical sliding of the elastic tightening link. Description of the drawings
[0020] Other features, purposes, and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description and drawings, which are given by way of non-limiting example only. Regarding the accompanying drawings: There figure 1 This illustrates a state-of-the-art headlamp that allows for an electrical connection between a lamp housing located at the front and a power supply battery located at the rear. figure 2 illustrates a rear view of an embodiment of a headlamp headband according to the present invention. figure 3 shows a left-hand view of the embodiment of the figure 2, in minimal development configuration. The figure 4 shows a left-hand view of the embodiment of the figure 2 in its maximum development configuration. The figure 5 It illustrates in particular the detail of the clip 290 which allows the electrical conductor cord 270 and the elastic link 230 to cooperate. figure 6 It illustrates in particular the detail of the clip 290 which allows the electrical conductor cord 270 and the elastic link 230 to cooperate. figure 7 illustrates the detail of the terminal part 210 allowing the sliding of the electrical conductor cord 270. figure 8 illustrates the detail of the locking lever 260 located on the support 240 at the rear of the headband. Description of a preferred embodiment
[0021] There figure 2 illustrates a rear left perspective of a preferred embodiment of a support headband according to the present invention, and which illustrates its various constituent elements. figures 3 and 4 illustrate left-hand views following two positions of development of the electrical conductor cord.
[0022] As can be seen in the figure 2 , the headband comprises a front part 210 and a rear part 240, connected to each other by means of an elastic tightening tie 230.
[0023] The front section 210 consists of a headband element made of textile, plastic, or any other suitable, preferably elastic, material, onto which a lamp body 200 is attached. Various attachment methods can be used to secure the housing 200 to the element 210, but for the sake of brevity, we need not detail them here. For example, it suffices to mention the possibility of incorporating two loops in the lamp body 200 for the elastic headband to allow for a sliding connection between the housing 200 and the headband element 210. Clearly, however, other embodiments are possible and conceivable.
[0024] The headband element 210 has two ends respectively left and right, to which are attached, preferably by overmolding or sewing, two plastic terminations 210 and 220 each having a through hole or vertical channel, respectively 211 and 221, for the sliding passage of the elastic tightening tie 230. Preferably, the plastic terminations 210 and 220 have the shape of a substantially square or rectangular loop, one hollow vertical side of which serves as a passage channel 211 / 221 for vertical sliding of the elastic adjustment tie 230.
[0025] Furthermore, as can be seen on the figures 2 And 3 The plastic termination 210 also includes a first protruding attachment clip 215, which provides a horizontal sliding connection with an electrical conductor cord 270. Details of the termination 210 are illustrated in the figure 7 and will be described later.
[0026] This specific arrangement already allows us to see that, at the termination 210, a double sliding connection is thus achieved, perpendicular to each other for the electrical cord 270 (horizontal sliding) and the clamping link 230 (vertical sliding).
[0027] The rear portion of the headband consists of a support 240, substantially symmetrical in the median sagittal plane, and configured to conform to the rear shape of a user's head. Preferably, the support 240 is triangular in shape, with a base having two attachment points, left and right respectively, for the two ends of the elastic tightening strap 230. figure 3Figure 240 illustrates in particular the left attachment point 241 of the clamping link 230; the right attachment point is not visible in the figure. The base of the rear section 240 also has a projection for attaching a battery pack 250 connected to the power cord 270 via a connector 242. On the upper part of the support 240, two through holes are provided, one on the left and one on the right, to allow passage of the clamping link 230, which cooperates with a vertical locking lever 260, enabling simultaneous locking of the clamping link 230 on both the left and right sides. figure 8 illustrates in more detail the rear support 240 and its locking lever 260.
[0028] As can be seen, the tightening possibilities of the proposed headband are significant due to the specific, unique, and particularly advantageous path of the elastic tensioning cord 230, which passes successively from the left fixing point 241 on the base of the support 240, then runs to the left vertical sliding channel 211 of the loop 210, exits it, and joins the upper left through hole of the support 240 to form an adjustable loop, as shown in the figure 8 , and lockable by lever 260 and, on the right side, to exit through the upper right through hole of support 240, and go to join the vertical sliding conduit 221 of termination 220 to then go to join the right fixing on the base of support 240.
[0029] Such a path of the elastic tightening link 230 allows a particularly effective and comfortable hold on the head of a user since it leads to the appearance of a double tightening loop, respectively lower and upper, which can be tightened by means of a single locking lever 260.
[0030] Furthermore, to achieve the electrical connection of the battery 250 to the lamp body 200, a very specific shaped electrical conductor cord 270 is provided, with two radii of curvature, respectively 271 and 272, which are inscribed in a sagittal plane of the user so as to form a "Z" and which cooperate advantageously with the path of the clamping link 230.
[0031] For this purpose, two movable clips 280 and 290 are provided to allow a sliding connection between the electrical conductor cord 270 and the elastic clamping link 230. The movable clip 280 is positioned at the first radius of curvature 271 to ensure sliding with the upper part of the elastic clamping link 230, while the movable clip 290 is positioned at the second radius of curvature 272 to allow sliding with the lower part of the elastic clamping link 230.
[0032] A detailed explanation of one embodiment of the 290 mobile clip is illustrated in the figure 5 , while the figure 6 shows an embodiment of the movable clip 280 allowing the cooperation of the electrical conductive cord 270 with the elastic link 230.
[0033] The result is a sophisticated arrangement that elegantly ensures high efficiency in holding the headband in place.
[0034] In summary, starting from the lamp body 200 and going to the battery 250, the following connections are found in the electrical conductor cable 270: The fitting 201 for the electrical connection of the lamp body 200; a first sliding link at the first attachment clip 215, located protruding from the end 210; a second sliding link at the second clip 280, near the first radius of curvature, ensuring a double sliding link with the upper part of the elastic clamp 230 running to the upper left hole of the support; a third sliding link at the third clip 290, near the second radius of curvature, ensuring a double sliding link with the lower part of the elastic clamp 230 coming from the mounting point 241 of the support; the second fitting 242 allowing the electrical connection to the battery.
[0035] These sliding connections cooperate with the sliding capabilities of the elastic clamping link 230 to ultimately allow for a wide range of adjustment possibilities, as shown in the figures 2 And 3 showing two distinct development configurations, respectively minimal and maximal.
[0036] It should be noted in particular, and advantageously, that the first termination 210 creates a double sliding connection, perpendicular to each other, at the level of the electrical cord 270 and the clamping link 230a / 230b. Indeed, the fastening clip 211 allows the electrical cord 270 to slide substantially horizontally, while the through holes in the loop 210 ensure vertical sliding.
[0037] In a preferred embodiment, the electric battery is connectable to the 240 support by means of a micro-USB type connector.
