Description

[0001] The present invention covers an arrangement of a foldable waste collection device for temporary use, comprising at least one compartment, in particular intended for temporary use such as festive, cultural, sporting or musical events.

[0002] We know that the problem of waste during major events such as concerts and sporting events poses certain problems in the collection of said waste.

[0003] Indeed, it is necessary to place collection points for this waste in many places because the people who frequent these places are busy with shows, activities, concerts and are not inclined to move to put the waste in a collector. The collection devices must be small in size to remain easy to handle, as access is not always easy.

[0004] Given the type of event, which is necessarily temporary, the collection devices are brought to the site before being distributed to the various places of use.

[0005] These collection devices must be brought by vehicle, so the volume must be reduced in order to be able to transport many collection devices in the same vehicle.

[0006] The large volume of each device is also a handicap when it comes to carrying the devices by hand to different locations.

[0007] There are therefore bins which are simple containers, the shape of which, with their tapered angles, allows them to be nested in order to limit the volume of space taken up.

[0008] Another solution is to provide supports equipped with a mast and a circle attached to said mast, this circle being intended to receive a garbage bag. This bag is generally clamped to the circle so that it remains immobilized with the gaping opening allowing the waste to be received.

[0009] This arrangement is unsightly because of its inelegant shape, the container is fragile because its periphery remains unprotected, and the supports are bulky and generally heavy to transport either because of the presence of a base or because of the presence of a point to allow the mast to be planted in the ground.

[0010] Taking into account the obligations and the need for recycling, if possible, waste collection must allow for selective collection.

[0011] The problems posed during the installation of these collection devices also arise when removing these same devices, so that any gain in weight, installation time or volume, for example, is doubled.

[0012] Document US 2011 / 315584 describes a waste collection device.

[0013] The collection device according to the present invention, defined in claim 1, aims to solve the problem posed through a particular embodiment which uses folding as the folding / unfolding mode.

[0014] In addition, the device according to the invention, which folds flat, is very compact and the material from which it is made leads to a very limited weight in itself but also due to the elimination of hinges and other screws.

[0015] Such a collection device therefore allows an operator to easily transport several devices.

[0016] Set-up and deployment are almost instantaneous, as is folding.

[0017] The device is now described in detail according to a particular, non-limiting embodiment, with reference to the attached drawings, drawings in which the different figures represent: Figures 1A et 1B : a perspective view of the double collection device according to the present invention, in the open position and in the intermediate position intended to show certain corresponding parts, Figure 2 : a view of the blank allowing the production of the device according to the present invention, Figures 3A à 3D : a synopsis showing the different stages of setting up the device.

[0018] The collection device according to the present invention, shown in its advanced mode with sorting on the figures 1A et 1B , includes two identical volumes V1 and V2, assembled by their rear faces.

[0019] This collection device according to the present invention is now described in detail according to the figure 2 in particular, the figures 1 showing the result.

[0020] There figure 2 represents a blank 10 intended for the production of one of the two volumes V1, V2 according to the present invention which comprises a front wall 10-1, a rear wall 10-2, two side walls 10-3 and 10-4 each comprising two panels 10-31, 10-32; 10-41, 10-42.

[0021] The hinge lines are oriented in a vertical direction, the orientation being considered when the device is in use.

[0022] The front wall 10-1 is extended by at least one flap 12, in this case two flaps 12-1, 12-2. These flaps 12 are hinged around a horizontal line, again when the device is in operation. These flaps 12 each have at least one opening 14 intended for the passage of waste. The first flap 12-1 is connected with an articulation to the front wall 10-1 and the second flap 12-2 is connected with an articulation to the first flap 12-1, around a horizontal articulation line.

[0023] The first flap 12-1 is, in the preferred embodiment, in the shape of a diabolo.

[0024] On the edge juxtaposed with the second flap 12-2, a handle 12-11 is cut out and articulated relative to said flap, said cutout generating an opening 16-1.

[0025] This first section 12-1 also includes a central opening 14-1 intended for the passage of waste and four other openings 16-2 to 16-5 completing the first opening 16-1 and intended to receive elements of garbage bags. SP made of plastic, as explained below.

[0026] The second flap 12-2 is substantially square in shape, with a central opening 14-2, intended to at least coincide with the central opening 14-1 of the first flap 12-1.

[0027] The side walls 10-3, 10-4 are hinged to each other and to each of the front and rear walls. Both side walls 10-3, 10-4 fold inward.

[0028] The rear wall 10-2 is made with a partial superposition of a connecting flap 18 in order to be able to ensure a connection for example by gluing, to be able to continuously close the entire rear wall, the first side wall, the front wall and the second side wall when the device is used with a single volume. In the case of a double volume as in the case described, this flap is unnecessary.

[0029] In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the device comprises two volumes V1 and V2, associated back to back, that is to say by interposing connecting means between the two rear walls of the two volumes, in this case a bonding.

[0030] In the rest of the description, the identical elements of volume V2 are referenced as those of volume V1 but increased by 100.

[0031] Thus, to produce the two-compartment device according to the present invention, the implementation consists of using two volumes whose two backs 10-2 and 100-2 are glued in the embodiment presented.

[0032] As shown on the magnifying glass of the figure 3C , partial gluing is planned, leaving a space 20 free.

[0033] The present invention provides for arranging a blade L between the two backs 10-2 and 100-2, said blade also comprising a handle P.

[0034] This blade has a width less than that of each of the backs and a height at most equal to the height of backs 10-2, 100-2.

[0035] This blade L is interposed between the two backs 10-2 and 100-2 in the free connecting space 20, forming a sheath. This blade Lcan therefore slide, in translation, in the free connecting space 20. This translation is oriented vertically, that is to say parallel to the articulation lines of the panels of the side walls.

[0036] We can thus see the presence of 3 handles, P, 12-11 and 112-11, which are superimposable, notably on the figure 3C .

[0037] Means of connection C in the form of a metal or plastic clip, for example, allow these handles to be grouped into a triple handle, the clip C advantageously having a surface part so as to allow ergonomic gripping.

[0038] Advantageously, the material used is notably marketed under the registered trademark Hylite ®<. It is a complex of two aluminum sheets, a few hundredths of a millimeter, arranged on either side of a core of polymer material a few millimeters thick, such as polypropylene.

[0039] Thus, by removing the two aluminum sheets locally, it is possible to obtain a hinge effect, shown in bold lines in the figures. Polypropylene, in its low thickness, allows for a very large number of folds, several thousand, which are more than sufficient for the application in question.

[0040] As can be seen from the various figures, the side walls 10-3, 10-4; 100-3, 100-4 have a slanted cutout on the upper edges. This leads, once the device is mounted as shown in the figures 1 Or 3 , to an arrangement with inclined shutters in the manner of a double-pitched roof. The inclination also leads to the inclination of the openings 14 intended to allow the passage of waste. This facilitates the introduction of said waste and limits the accumulation of waste around said device.

[0041] Cutouts forming gripping handles 22, 122 are provided in the front walls. The schematic diagram of the commissioning of the device according to the present invention is presented with reference to the figures 3 .

[0042] On the figure 3A , the two-volume device V1 And V2 is folded after being transported or stored in this configuration. The side flaps are folded with the fold line facing inwards and the front and rear walls are pressed against each other just separated by said side walls. The device has a thickness equal to 8 wall thicknesses.

[0043] The blade L does not count because it is absorbed by the deformation of the two glued rear walls, forming a channel.

[0044] On the figure 3B , the blade Lis pulled upwards and the two other handles 12-11 and 112-11, secured to the handle of said blade, are also lifted, pulling the shutters with them.

[0045] The user grasps a grip handle with each hand and stretches the device to deploy the side walls, which unfold, as shown in the figure 3C .

[0046] The deployment is limited by the dimensions of the flaps which are folded back on themselves as shown in broken lines on the figure 3D .

[0047] These two double flaps can be lifted to allow access to the inside of the device, in particular to place a plastic bag intended to contain the waste. For this purpose, the connecting means, in this case the clip, are removed to allow a handle to be removed and the associated flaps to be lifted, and in particular to lift the second flap in order to reach the first flap and to be able to attach a plastic bag to it.

[0048] We note that, during assembly, the first diabolo-shaped flap comes precisely to the right of the upper edges of the side walls in order to create a joint closure.

[0049] The second part also has an aesthetic function and carries communication, just like the front and side walls.

[0050] Due to the nature of the materials, the weight is reduced so that one operator can carry several devices and install them in the corresponding area.

[0051] The absence of mechanics and hinges in the particularly successful mode presented thus means that there are no problems with commissioning, even in bad weather, humidity or mud.

[0052] Likewise, maintenance is very low and washing is entirely possible, including with disinfectant products.

[0053] This device has large exterior surfaces capable of receiving communication.
