[0001] The invention relates to a seat cushion for seating furniture of all kinds, which enables self-ventilation without a blower unit, is portable and easy to clean, and is easily adaptable.
[0002] Various seat cushions are known in the prior art which use blower units to provide ventilation or back-ventilation of the seat of a piece of seating furniture. Seating furniture known from documents EP0201419A2 and CN205220455U may be useful for understanding the invention.
[0003] The aim of the invention is to create a seat cushion with a backrest that generates ventilation behind the seat surface in the simplest way possible.
[0004] The object of the invention is to create a seat cushion with a backrest for seating furniture of all kinds, wherein the seat cushion is ventilated from behind without a blower unit and thus constant ventilation of the seat surface is provided.
[0005] The object of the invention is solved by realizing claim 1 with its dependent claim.
[0006] A seat cushion with a backrest for all types of seating furniture was created, made from coil springs of a known design. Depending on the size of the seat, a seat cushion is woven from individual coil springs, which are twisted together. After each coil spring is twisted into the previous one, a hook at each end of the coil spring is used to secure it, preventing it from unwinding. Thus, the interconnected coil springs are secured against untwisting.
[0007] Subsequently, further coil springs are twisted in, each offset by 180 degrees, and connected at the end with the respective hook. The hook shape is specifically designed so that the end of the coil spring is bent into the coil spring itself. This creates a hook that anchors the individual coil springs together. The interlocking of the individual coil springs is intended to prevent injury or snagging.

Depending on the load on the seat cushion, it is advisable to connect the individual hooks together or to run a separate rope through the resulting eyelets.

This lack of contact allows for constant ventilation of the seat surface through the seat cushion and the resulting cavity formed by the coil spring structure.

[0023] The developed backrest cushion, designed to complement the inventive seat cushion, serves to allow air to circulate through a gap between the backrest and the seat back. This is achieved by a spacer fabric with a thickness of 8 to 12 mm.
[0024] The spacer fabric consists of a polyester mesh with a mesh size of approximately 2 to 10 mm on both the front and back. The two sides are connected by ultra-thin threads, known as pile threads, which maintain the spacing. The strength of this connection is so high that it cannot be compressed against the back, thus ensuring a constant distance. This material is processed using ultrasonic welding. A special anti-slip coating is applied to the back side, facing the seat back. This coating prevents the fabric from sliding on the backrest and therefore eliminates the need for additional straps or cords for attachment to the seat.

1. Seat support with back part for seating furniture of all kinds for rear ventilation of the seat surface without a blower unit, characterised in that a mesh of spiral springs (5) consisting of individual spiral springs (1) is provided as the seat support (6) depending on the size of the seat and the individual spiral springs (1) are connected twisted at 180 degrees to one another and a spacer fabric with a thickness of 8 mm to 10 mm consisting of a polyester mesh with an anti-slip coating on the back is provided as the back part.
