The invention relates to a device for receiving a sighting device on a base of a firearm, comprising a mounting base (1) for the indirect or direct receipt of the sighting device and at least one fastening device (2) for the detachable fastening of the device to the base, wherein the fastening device (2) has at least one clamping element (8) and at least one clamping screw (4), and wherein the clamping element (8) can be brought into contact with a clamping surface arranged on the base by means of the clamping screw (4) in a force-fit and / or form-fit manner, wherein the tightening torque of the clamping screw (4) is adjustable and limited.
