AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing bicycle transport containers face challenges in reducing damage during transport and simplifying the removal of bicycle elements, particularly in maintaining the protection and alignment of bicycle components like the fork and handlebar.

Method used

The bicycle transport container incorporates recording elements, such as a fork recording element with a through opening for the front wheel axle and a handlebar recording element with a support element and protective packaging, to securely hold and protect bicycle components during transport, while also allowing for easy assembly and disassembly.

Benefits of technology

This solution effectively reduces damage to bicycle components by providing secure and protective recording elements, simplifies the removal of bicycle elements from the transport container, and allows for efficient assembly of the bicycle upon arrival.

Abstract

A bicycle transport container has a wall element (18) that is divided into two parts. The wall element (18) has an upper part (24) and a lower part (22). The upper part (24) can be opened along a hinged edge (26). Two side flaps (30) are connected to the upper part (24), which, when the upper part (24) is closed, rest against the inner sides of the side walls (12) of the bicycle transport container.

Claims

1. A bicycle transport container, in particular a bicycle cardboard box, comprising an outer container, in particular of cuboid shape, a fork receiving element (92) arranged inside the outer container, the fork receiving element (92) having a receiving element (94) adapted to be arranged between the dropouts of the bicycle fork (58) in order to receive a bicycle fork (58), characterized in that the receiving element (94) is substantially arranged transversely to the longitudinal direction (38) of the outer container so that a bicycle fork (58) mounted to the receiving element (94) can also be arranged transversely to the longitudinal direction (38) of the outer container in a packaged state.

2. The bicycle transport container according to claim 1, characterized in that the receiving element (94) has a recess for receiving a fixing element connectable to the bicycle fork (58), in particular the dropouts of the bicycle fork (58).

3. The bicycle transport container according to claim 2, characterized in that the recess is formed as a passage opening through which the fixing element is insertable.

4. The bicycle transport container according to claim 2 or 3, characterized in that the recess can receive a front axle, which is designed in particular as a quick-release axle.

5. The bicycle transport container according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the receiving element (94) has several cardboard layers which are arranged parallel to each other and are preferably connected to each other via bending edges.

6. The bicycle transport container according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the fork receiving element (92) has an adjustment element (98) for defined arrangement of the fork receiving element (92) in the outer container.

7. The bicycle transport container according to claim 6, characterized in that the adjustment element (98) is connected, in particular integrally formed with the receiving element (94).

8. The bicycle transport container according to one of claims 6 or 7, characterized in that the adjustment element (98) has a base element (100) resting against an inner side of a bottom element of the outer container, wherein the base element (100) has a width which substantially corresponds to the width of the internal dimension of the outer container.

9. The bicycle transport container according to any one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the fork receiving element (92) has a stabilizing element (102) connected in particular with the base element (100).

10. The bicycle transport container according to claim 1 to 9, comprising a handlebar receiving element (90) arranged inside the outer container for a handlebar arranged in the outer container in the longitudinal direction (38) thereof, wherein the handlebar receiving element (90) has a contact element (110) which, one the one hand, rests in the packaged state against an upper side (112) of a top tube (114) of the bicycle frame and, on the other hand, can be arranged on a lower side of a handlebar center part (104).

11. The bicycle transport container according to claim 10, characterized in that the contact element (110) is connected with a protective element (116) which is arranged on a front side of the handlebar center part (104) in the packaged state.

12. The bicycle transport container according to one of claims 10 or 11, characterized in that the handlebar receiving element (90) has a packaging element (120) for handlebar ends (108) separated from the handlebar center part (104), wherein the packaging element (120) is preferably connected, in particular integrally formed with the contact element (110).

13. The bicycle transport container according to claim 12, characterized in that the packaging element (120) can be arranged laterally adjacent the top tube (114) and the down tube of the bicycle frame in the packaged state.

14. The bicycle transport container according to claim 12 or 13, characterized in that the packaging element (120) has at least one packaging space in which the handlebar ends (108) can at least partially be arranged in the packaged state.

15. The bicycle transport container according to any one of claims 11 to 14, characterized in that the packaging element (120) is opposite the protective element (116), in particular rests against opposite inner sides of the outer container in the packaged state.
