Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a sieve component, in particular a lint sieve, for a suction device, such as a vacuum cleaner or a cleaning or vacuuming robot.
[0002] A vacuum cleaner typically has a suction port through which contaminants, particularly dust particles, are sucked up from a floor to be cleaned by means of an air stream. The air stream can be generated by a fan located behind an air filter. The air stream conveys the contaminants, particularly relatively large dust particles, from the suction port into a collecting container. However, smaller and / or relatively light particles, particularly lint, can be carried with the air stream to the air filter, which can lead to relatively rapid clogging of the air filter and thus to reduced suction power.
[0003] To protect the air filter, a lint filter can be arranged in front of the air filter. This filter is designed to retain relatively small and / or light particles to prevent the air filter from clogging too quickly. However, the particles retained by the lint filter, especially lint, can over time form a coherent layer, a so-called "dust cake," on the lint filter, which impedes the airflow through the lint filter and thus reduces suction power. DE 19 20 124 U describes a canister vacuum cleaner with a filter on which balls rest for knocking a filter. DE 10 2017 220 313 A1 describes a floor vacuum cleaner. EP 3 219 239 A1 describes a filter arrangement with a mechanically driven knocking element.
[0004] This document deals with the technical task of preventing the formation of a layer of dust or lint on a lint filter of a vacuum cleaner in an efficient and reliable manner in order to enable a permanently high suction power of the vacuum cleaner.
[0005] The object is achieved by the subject matter of the independent patent claim. Advantageous embodiments are defined in particular in the dependent patent claims, described in the following description, or illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
[0006] According to one aspect of the invention, a sieve component for a suction device is described. The suction device is configured to suck up contaminants from a floor to be cleaned using an air stream. The suction device can, in particular, be a robot vacuum cleaner configured to move autonomously across the floor to be cleaned. Alternatively, the suction device can be configured to be moved by a user, in particular pushed across the floor. The suction device can, for example, be a vacuum cleaner.
[0007] The sieve component comprises a sieve part with a sieve surface, in particular with a flat sieve surface, wherein the sieve part, in particular the sieve surface, is designed to be flowed through by the air stream. The air stream can flow, for example, from the floor to be cleaned via a suction mouth of the suction device to the sieve component and through the sieve part. The sieve part can be designed as a flat disc. The sieve surface can be formed by an air-permeable material with a specific pore size, wherein the pore size of the material typically determines the size of the particles that are filtered out of the air stream by the sieve part. The sieve part can be designed, for example, to retain lint carried by the air stream. In particular, the sieve part can be designed as a lint filter.
[0008] The sieve part can thus be configured to retain contaminants (in particular at least some of the contaminants sucked up from the floor) from the air flow at the underside of the sieve part. The underside of the sieve part is the side of the sieve part facing the air flow. The air flow can thus enter the sieve part at the underside of the sieve part and exit the sieve part again at the (opposite) top side of the sieve part.
[0009] The sieve component further comprises at least one tapping body (in particular at least one rolling body) configured to perform a tapping movement on the upper side of the sieve part in response to a change in movement of the sieve component (in particular in response to a change in movement of the suction device in which the sieve component is arranged). The change in movement may include an acceleration, a deceleration, a rotation (in particular a change in angular velocity), and / or a change in direction of the sieve component.
[0010] The knocking body can, in particular, be arranged such that the knocking body executes a rolling movement (as a knocking movement) on the upper side of the sieve part in response to a change in the movement of the sieve component. In other words, the knocking body can be designed to roll over the upper side of the sieve part.
[0011] The tapping movement caused by the at least one tapping body is designed such that the contaminants retained on the underside of the sieve part are (at least partially) knocked off the sieve part by the tapping movement. The tapping movement can comprise one or more tapping pulses (i.e., force pulses) from the tapping body to the upper side of the sieve part. In particular, the tapping body can be designed such that, as the tapping body rolls along the upper side of the sieve part, one or more force pulses are applied to the upper side of the sieve part, by which the contaminants retained on the underside of the sieve part are (at least partially) knocked off the sieve part.
[0012] The sieve component can be designed such that the (at least one) tapping body is caused, in particular exclusively, to perform a tapping movement on the upper side of the sieve part in response to a change in the movement of the sieve component due to the inertia of the tapping body. The tapping movement is thus preferably effected without the use of an electromechanical actuation of the tapping body and / or purely passively.
[0013] Thus, a sieve component for a suction device is described which can be automatically cleaned in an efficient and reliable manner in order to enable a constantly high suction power of the suction device.
[0014] The tapping body can be arranged so as to be freely movable on the top side of the sieve part. In particular, the tapping body can be allowed to move freely (within a specific sub-segment) on the top side of the sieve part solely due to the inertia of the tapping body. This allows for particularly efficient cleaning of the sieve part of the sieve component. In other words, the tapping body can move randomly on the top side of the sieve part.
[0015] The tapping body can have several differently oriented surfaces. An edge can be arranged between each two adjacent surfaces of the tapping body. In particular, an angle of between 90° and 170° can be formed between each two adjacent surfaces of the tapping body. The tapping body can have a regular shape, e.g., the shape of a cube, a regular prism, a regular polygon, or a star, or an irregular shape.
[0016] The tapping body can be designed such that one surface, in particular exactly one surface, of the differently aligned surfaces rests on the upper side of the sieve part. Furthermore, the tapping body can be designed such that the differently aligned surfaces roll on the upper side of the sieve part as a tapping movement. The surfaces of the tapping body can be differently aligned such that when changing from a first surface resting on the upper side of the sieve part to a (different) second surface resting on the upper side of the sieve part, a tapping impulse (i.e. a force impulse) is caused by the tapping body on the upper side of the sieve part. A tapping body shaped in this way can bring about particularly reliable cleaning of the sieve part of the sieve component. In other words: the impulses generated during the rolling process of the rolling body tap, orshake off the impurities accumulated on the underside of the sieve part.
[0017] More generally, the tapping body can be designed to rest on the top side of the sieve part in several differently oriented positions, in particular on differently oriented surfaces. The different positions can be formed, for example, by different feet (such as the different tips of a star-shaped tapping body). Alternatively or additionally, the different positions can be formed by different (flat, concave, convex, etc.) surfaces. The tapping movement can then be performed by rolling the differently oriented positions on the top side of the sieve part.
[0018] The different positions, in particular the different surfaces, of the tapping body can be aligned differently such that when changing from a first position, in which the tapping body rests on the upper side of the sieve part, to a second position, in which the tapping body rests on the upper side of the sieve part, a tapping impulse is caused on the upper side of the sieve part. For example, a (possibly virtual) edge can be arranged between two adjacent positions of the tapping body. Alternatively or additionally, an angle of between 90° and 170° can be formed between two adjacent positions of the tapping body. A tapping body shaped in this way can achieve particularly reliable cleaning of the sieve part of the sieve component.Furthermore, differently shaped knocking bodies, i.e. knocking bodies designed with different geometries, can be used in a sieve component.
[0019] The sieve part can have a side wall, so that the sieve surface and the side wall form a container in which the tapping body is arranged so that it can move freely. By providing a side wall, the movement of the tapping body (and thus also the cleaning effect) can be reliably limited to the sieve surface of the sieve part.
[0020] The sieve component can have an air-permeable lid, particularly one permeable to the air flow of the suction device, which covers the container. The provision of a lid enables efficient and reliable installation of the sieve component in the suction device.
[0021] The sieve part, in particular the container of the sieve component, can be divided into several sub-segments by one or more partition walls. The sieve component can then have at least one knock-off element for each sub-segment, in particular in each sub-segment. By dividing the sieve part into several sub-segments, each with one or more knock-off elements, particularly reliable cleaning of the sieve surface can be achieved.
[0022] The sieve component can be configured to be installed in the suction device such that, during operation of the suction device, the angle formed between the sieve surface, in particular the flat sieve surface, of the sieve part and the floor to be cleaned, in particular a horizontal floor, is less than 90°, in particular less than 10°. In other words, the sieve surface of the sieve component is preferably (at least almost) horizontally oriented during operation of the suction device. This makes it possible to efficiently clean, in particular tap, the entire sieve surface by the one or more tap bodies of the sieve component.
[0023] The sieve component can be designed to be attached, in particular by means of a magnetic force or a magnet, to an air filter and / or a fan of the suction device (for generating the air flow), so that the air flow first flows through the sieve component and then through the air filter and / or the fan. This enables efficient installation of the sieve component in a suction device.
[0024] According to a further aspect, a suction device (e.g., a robot vacuum cleaner or a vacuum cleaner) is described, which is configured to suck up contaminants from a floor to be cleaned by means of an air stream. The suction device comprises at least one of the sieve components described in this document, which is configured to retain at least a portion of the sucked-up contaminants from the air stream.
[0025] The suction device can include a collecting container for collecting impurities sucked up from the air stream. The sieve component can be arranged (above the collecting container) in such a way that impurities knocked off the underside of the sieve part reach, in particular fall, into the collecting container (possibly solely) by gravity. Centrally collecting impurities in a (single) collecting container can further increase the convenience for the user of the suction device.
[0026] The suction device typically comprises a fan configured to generate the airflow. Furthermore, the suction device may comprise an air filter (e.g., a HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter) configured to filter the airflow drawn in by the fan before it reaches the fan. The screen component may be arranged upstream of the fan, in particular upstream of the air filter, with respect to the airflow direction. This reliably and efficiently protects the air filter and the fan from clogging with contaminants.
[0027] It should be noted that any aspect of the sieve component and / or the suction device described in this document can be combined in a variety of ways. In particular, the features of the patent claims can be combined in a variety of ways.
[0028] The invention will be described in more detail below with reference to exemplary embodiments illustrated in the accompanying drawings. Figure 1a shows an exemplary vacuum robot as an example of a suction device in a perspective view; Figure 1b shows the underside of an exemplary vacuum robot; Figure 1c shows a schematic representation of the course of the air flow through a suction device; Figures 2a to 2d show different views of an exemplary sieve component; and Figure 3 shows exemplary knock-off bodies.
[0029] As stated at the beginning, this document deals with the efficient and reliable cleaning of a lint filter of a vacuum cleaner. In this context, Fig. 1a the underside 122 of a vacuum robot 100 as an example of a vacuum device. During vacuuming operation of the vacuum robot 100, the underside 122 faces the floor to be cleaned or the surface of a cleaning area, such as a room, to be cleaned. The underside 122 of the vacuum robot 100 typically has one or more drive units 101 (with one or more drive wheels) by which the vacuum robot 100 can be moved to clean different areas of a floor. Furthermore, the vacuum robot 100 can have one or more guide and / or support elements 104 (e.g., non-driven wheels) that enable stable movement of the vacuum robot 100 across the floor to be cleaned. In addition, a vacuum robot 100 typically comprises one or more cleaning units 106 that are configured to clean the floor beneath the vacuum robot 100.The one or more cleaning units 106 can be shielded by one or more barrel-shaped shields 103 in the direction of movement 120 of the robot vacuum cleaner 100. The one or more shields 103 can push larger objects lying on the floor to the side to prevent larger objects from entering a cleaning unit 106 and damaging and / or clogging the cleaning unit 106.
[0030] A cleaning unit 106 may include a brush roller 102 configured to rotate about a rotational axis, wherein the rotational axis is typically arranged parallel to the underside 122 of the robot vacuum cleaner 100. The brush roller 102 may be used to mechanically remove dust and / or contaminants from the floor to be cleaned, allowing the dust and / or contaminants to be sucked into the suction port 107 of the cleaning unit 106 with increased reliability.
[0031] A user interface can be arranged on the top side 121 of the robot vacuum 100, which allows a user of the robot vacuum 100 to make control inputs. Furthermore, the robot vacuum 100 can include a shock sensor 105 on a side wall 123 (e.g., on a side wall 123 in the front area of the robot vacuum 100), which is configured to capture sensor data indicating whether the robot vacuum 100 has encountered an obstacle in the direction of movement 120. Triggering the shock sensor 105 by an obstacle can cause the robot vacuum 100 to rotate about its vertical or vertical axis, which is perpendicular to the floor, and thereby change the direction of movement 120 to avoid the obstacle.
[0032] Furthermore, a vacuum robot 100 typically has one or more environment sensors 110, which are configured to capture environment or sensor data relating to the environment of the vacuum robot 100 (see Fig. 1b ). The one or more environmental sensors 110 can include: one or more image cameras, one or more ultrasonic sensors, one or more tactile and / or optical distance sensors, one or more acoustic sensors, one or more temperature sensors, etc. A control module 130 of the vacuum robot 100 can be configured to determine digital map information relating to the cleaning area to be cleaned based on the environmental data and, if necessary, to store it on a storage unit 111 of the vacuum robot 100. The vacuum robot 100 can use the digital map information to orient itself within the cleaning area (e.g., within a room) and / or to determine a route for cleaning the cleaning area.
[0033] Fig. 1c shows a schematic representation of an exemplary path of the air flow 140 of a suction device 100 (e.g., a robot vacuum cleaner) caused by the suction mouth 107. The air flow 140 is caused by a fan and / or a suction motor 155, which is arranged behind an air filter 154 with respect to the flow direction of the air flow 140 (shown by the arrows). The air flow 140 with the sucked-up (dust) particles passes from the suction mouth 107 into a cavity 152 arranged above a collecting and / or dust container 151. A first portion of the particles 141, 142 carried by the air flow 140 (in particular the relatively large and / or heavy particles 141) falls into the container 151 due to gravity.A second portion of the particles 141, 142 carried along with the air stream 140 (in particular the relatively small and / or light particles 142) are entrained by the air stream 140 and retained on the underside of a (lint) sieve or sieve component 160. The sieved air stream 143 then passes through the air filter 154 and the fan 155. By using a sieve 160 upstream of the air filter 154, clogging of the air filter 154 with dirt particles 141, 142 can be avoided.
[0034] The dirt particles 142 retained by the sieve 160 can, over time, form a layer, possibly continuous, on the underside of the sieve 160, which can impede the air flow 140 and thus reduce the suction power of the suction device 100. Figuren 2a bis 2d show different views of a sieve component 160, which is designed to be knocked off by one or more knocking bodies 210, in particular by one or more rolling bodies, during operation of the suction device 100 and thus freed from the dirt particles 142 retained on the sieve component 160. The knocked-off dirt particles 142 then fall into the collecting container 151 arranged below the sieve component 160.
[0035] The sieve component 160 comprises a sieve part 201 facing the collecting container 151, having a frame 207 through which a sieve surface 205 made of an air-permeable, sieving material is spanned. One or more knocking bodies 210 are arranged on the upper side of the sieve part 201 of the sieve component 160. The one or more knocking bodies 210 are arranged freely movable on the upper side of the sieve part 201, so that the one or more knocking bodies 210 can be set in motion, in particular in a bouncing motion, by a movement, in particular by a change in movement, of the suction device 100. The (jumping) movement of the knocking body 210 causes knocking impulses on the sieve part 201 of the sieve component 160, which causes the particles 142 adhering to the underside of the sieve part 201 to detach and fall into the collecting container 151.By providing one or more knocking bodies 210, the cleaning of the sieve part 201 of the sieve component 160 can thus be effected in an efficient and reliable manner during the operation of the suction device 100.
[0036] In addition to the sieve part 201, the sieve component 160 can have a side wall 202 that surrounds the sieve part 201. The side wall 202 and the sieve part 201 form a container 204 in which the one or more knock-off bodies 210 can be arranged. By providing a side wall 202, the movement space of the one or more knock-off bodies 210 can be reliably limited to the area of the sieve part 201 of the sieve component 160 that is to be knocked off by the one or more knock-off bodies 210.
[0037] The sieve part 201 and / or the container 204 for receiving the one or more knock-off bodies 210 can be divided into several sub-segments by one or more partition walls 206. In Fig. 2a A division into four sub-segments is shown as an example. At least one knock-off body 210 can be arranged in each of the sub-segments. By dividing the sieve part 201 of the sieve component 160 into several sub-segments, it can be reliably ensured that the entire sieve part 201 is knocked off.
[0038] The sieve component 160 can further comprise an upper part or a lid 203, which is designed to cover the container 204 for receiving the one or more knock-off bodies 210 on the side facing the air filter 154. The lid 203 can comprise a frame 207, through which a sieve surface 205 made of an air-permeable material is spanned. The sieve component 160 can thus comprise an air-permeable lid 203 for the container 204, so that the sieve component 160 is designed as a closed container 204 in which one or more knock-off bodies 210 are arranged. This enables efficient installation of the sieve component 160 in the suction device 100. Furthermore, it can be prevented that the one or more knock-off bodies 210 damage the air filter 154.
[0039] The sieve component 160 can, as in Fig. 2b shown, have a support 221 with which the sieve component 160 can be placed on the bottom of the collecting container 151 and / or supported on the bottom of the collecting container 151. This enables efficient and stable installation of the sieve component 160 within the suction device 100. Alternatively or additionally, the support 221 can be designed as a handle, which allows a user to conveniently and reliably attach the sieve component 160 to the filter 154 or to detach or pull it off the filter 154.
[0040] Fig. 3shows differently designed knocking bodies 210. A knocking body 210 can have different (flat) surfaces 301 with which the knocking body 210 can rest on the upper side of the sieve part 201 of the sieve component 160. The different (possibly flat) surfaces 301 of a knocking body 210 are each aligned differently, so that rolling from one surface 301 to another surface 301 causes a jolt or a knocking impulse on the sieve part 201 of the sieve component 160. Alternatively or additionally, the knocking body 210 can have one or more non-flat surfaces 301. For example, the knocking body 210 can be designed as a star-shaped body. Alternatively or additionally, the knocking body 210 can be designed as an irregularly rounded body with one or more edges.
[0041] A sieve component 160 is thus described in which the dirt 142 on the underside of the sieve component 160 (i.e. on the sieve part 201) is knocked off by one or more (relatively small) elements 210 rolling on the sieve part 201. Instead of a flat lint filter, a multi-part sieve component 160 can be used. One or more knocking, in particular rolling, bodies 210 can be accommodated in the interior 204 of the sieve component 160, which roll on the upper side of the sieve part 201 of the sieve component 160 during travel movements of the vacuum device 100, in particular of the vacuum robot, and in doing so knock off the dust 142 adhering to the underside of the sieve part 201 due to their non-circular shape. Due to the mass inertia of the one or more rolling bodies 210, the one or more rolling bodies 201 are set in motion, especially during acceleration and / or braking and / or cornering and / or rotating of the suction device 100.Furthermore, small unevenness in the floor to be cleaned (e.g., joints, thresholds, cracks, etc.) and / or transitions between different floor types (e.g., hard floor - carpet) can cause tapping movements of the one or more roller bodies 210. The dirt particles 142 falling from the lower side of the sieve part 201 can be collected by the collecting container 151 of the suction device 100. The sieve component 160, which is constantly cleaned by the one or more roller bodies 210, enables a constantly high air flow 140, and thus a consistently high suction power.
[0042] The one or more rolling elements 210 can be held between the sieve part 201, which represents the actual lint filter, and a cover 203 within the sieve component 160. The cover 203 can rest loosely on the sieve part 201, in particular on a side wall 202 of the sieve part 201. If necessary, the cover 203 can only be fixed to the air filter 154 when the lint filter component 160 is inserted. The fixation of the sieve component 160 can be effected by a magnet 208 of the sieve part 201.
[0043] Removing the cover 203 allows cleaning of the sieve part 201 of the lint filter component 160 on both sides, as well as cleaning of the cover 203 and / or the one or more rolling elements 210.
[0044] Cleaning the sieve part 201 of the sieve component 160 is particularly effective when the suction device 100 is moved without causing an air flow 140 (e.g., before starting or after completing a cleaning process). This can then reliably prevent knocked-off particles 142 from being drawn back toward the sieve component 160. The knocked-off particles 142 can be definitively disposed of when the collecting container 151 is emptied.
[0045] A rolling body 210 is preferably shaped such that the rolling body 210 has the best possible rolling ability (to cover the entire surface 205 of the lint filter part 201) and the greatest possible tapping strength (to clean the dirt particles 142).
[0046] The sieve component 160 described in this document enables reliable cleaning of the sieve part 201 without the use of an additional electromechanical component. Regular cleaning of the sieve part 201 enables a permanently high suction performance of a suction device 100, since the air flow 140 is not slowed down by dirt particles 142 on the sieve part 201. This also allows the operating time of the suction device 100 to be extended.
[0047] The present invention is not limited to the embodiments shown. In particular, it should be noted that the description and figures are intended only to illustrate the principle of the proposed suction device 100 and / or the proposed sieve component 160. Reference symbol
