Description

[0001] The invention relates to a sports glove, in particular a sports glove in the form of a goalkeeper glove.

[0002] WO 2018237219 A1 discloses a goalkeeper glove equipped with stretch areas to increase comfort. These areas extend from the fingertips to a band in front of the wrist. These stretch areas can cause material displacement when closing the glove, thus creating an uncomfortable feel.

[0003] EP 1401542 B1 discloses a goalkeeper glove that is designed to be devoid of seams that would impede ball control. This is achieved by means of finger parts for the 2nd and 5th fingers.

[0004] According to WO 2017025110 A1, sections of foamed plastic on a carrier substrate of a goalkeeper glove are intended to increase wearing comfort.

[0005] Patent application US 0246259 A1 discloses a glove for everyday use, in which the outer material ends at the wrist area and is provided with wave- or tooth-like decorations or incisions at the end of the outer material. An elastic underfabric is sewn to the outer material in the wrist area. The elasticity of the underfabric is therefore only of limited use.

[0006] Patent EP 3698664 B1 discloses a glove according to the preamble of claim 1, for example, for firefighters. It has a diagonal slit with a zipper, which, for functional reasons, can be closed during use.

[0007] Sports gloves, and goalkeeper gloves in particular, often feature a slit at the cuff, sometimes positioned centrally, with a sewn-in material insert. The cuff is usually made of neoprene, and the sewn-in insert is usually made of highly stretchy Lycra. The main disadvantages are a higher susceptibility to torn seams, as it is only an insert and not a fully encircling layer of material, and a lower adaptability to the wrist. Therefore, these gloves are cut significantly wider to accommodate wider wrists and therefore offer less wrist stability.

[0008] The invention is based on the object of developing a sports glove and in particular a goalkeeper glove which enables an adaptive entry and closure of the wrist of a wearer of the goalkeeper glove.

[0009] This object is achieved by the features of patent claim 1. According to the invention, the sports glove is, in particular, a goalkeeper's glove and comprises finger elements, a palm element, and a back-of-the-hand element, as well as a directly adjoining closure element that covers the wrist and can extend to the forearm. The closure element is formed from at least two material layers. An outer material layer of the closure element is also provided with at least one slit.

[0010] The goal is to achieve the best possible fit of the cuff to the individual wrist of the wearer, especially a goalkeeper, and thus provide the best possible stability and comfort. The cuff should fit as tightly as possible to ensure maximum wrist stability while still allowing sufficient flexibility and range of motion. Furthermore, unnecessary seams should be avoided in the cuff area.

[0011] Preferred embodiments of the glove according to the invention are disclosed in the dependent claims.

[0012] According to the invention, one slot is provided on the side of the palm element and two slots are provided on the side of the back of the hand element.

[0013] The slits extend at least to the wrist and / or metacarpal of the wearer of the sports glove.

[0014] The end element is preferably provided with a tensioning strap arranged on the end element. Designs without a tensioning strap are also possible.

[0015] It is advantageous for the inner material layer of the closure element to be made of an elastic, stretchable material and not slit. The outer material layer, on the other hand, is made of neoprene or other materials that provide stability.

[0016] The two material layers of the end piece are sewn together in a specific, defined pattern. A lower (inner) material layer, an elastic bandage running around the entire wrist, provides flexibility. An outer material layer, such as a neoprene material on the backhand extended to the cuff, provides stability.

[0017] The three slits on the outside and inside of the wrist combine the advantages of both materials (elasticity of the bandage and stability of the stability-providing material) to create a tight-fitting and stable, yet elastic closure that also ensures that the glove can be put on and taken off easily and without complications.

[0018] The invention is described in more detail below in an embodiment of a goalkeeper glove with reference to a drawing. In the drawing, the Fig. 1: a goalkeeper glove according to the invention in front and rear view (ab); Fig. 2: the goalkeeper glove according to Fig. 1 with tension band (from); Fig. 3: a cross-section of the goalkeeper glove according to Fig. 1 ; Fig. 4: Material layers of the goalkeeper glove after Fig. 1 and Fig. 5: the end element of the goalkeeper glove according to Fig. 1 in cross section.

[0019] A sports glove according to the invention, in the example a goalkeeper glove 1, comprises five finger elements 2 with adjoining palm element 4 and back of hand element 5 of the metacarpal and an adjoining end element 6, which extends from the carpus to the wrist and possibly to the forearm of a wearer of the goalkeeper glove ( Fig. 1 a-b ). Elastic forks 3 are provided between the finger elements 2.

[0020] In the example, the palm-side finger elements 2 and the palm element 4 consist of a cut part ( Fig. 1a ) and the back-hand element 5 and end element 6 from a cut part ( Fig. 1b and Fig. 3 To form a complete glove, the parts mentioned are to be Fig. 1 a-b shown, sewn accordingly.

[0021] The end element 6 has a slot 7 on the palm side, which extends from the outer edge 13 of the end element 6 to the wrist ( Fig. 1a and 5 ). On the back of the hand, however, in the example, it has two slots 7, which extend from the outer edge 13 of the end element 6 to the back of the hand ( Fig. 1b and 5 ).

[0022] A tensioning strap 8 is also arranged on the end element 6 ( Fig. 2a ), for example, sewn on, which encloses the end element 6 and the wrist or forearm of the wearer of the goalkeeper glove 1 ( Fig. 2b ) and thus enables an optimal fit of the goalkeeper glove 1. The flexible fastening of the tensioning strap is achieved, for example, adhesively or with Velcro. The fit is further improved by the slits 7, which provide a close-fitting and stable, yet elastic closure, which also ensures easy and uncomplicated donning and doffing of the goalkeeper glove, regardless of the wearer's varying hand and forearm dimensions.

[0023] The end element 6 of the goalkeeper glove 1 is made of two material layers that are sewn together in a defined cut. An inner material layer 10 made of an elastic material, an elastic bandage running around the entire wrist, ensures flexibility. An outer material layer 11, a neoprene material on the backhand that extends to the end of the glove, ensures stability ( Fig. 4a-b ).

[0024] The three slits 7 on the outside and inside of the wrist combine the advantages of both materials, i.e. elasticity of the bandage and stability of the neoprene.

[0025] On the palm side, the finger elements 2 and the palm element 4 are coated with latex 12 to ensure better ball contact ( Fig. 4b ). List of reference symbols
