Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a delivery vehicle, in particular a postal delivery vehicle according to the preamble of claim 1.
[0002] A delivery truck is known, for example, from EP 0 711 698 A2. The delivery truck has a box-like structure for accommodating the delivery or distribution goods to be transported.
[0003] CH 419966 A, DE 9404450 U1 and US 9457828 B1 show different types of transport devices with tiltable or pivoting side walls.
[0004] EP 2 712 786 A2 shows a roll container that can be used for delivery. It has a movable side wall section.
[0005] EP 1 967 437 A2 discloses a chambermaid's trolley with a box-shaped structure and a sliding door which is firmly connected to a hood.
[0006] DE 75 29 183 U shows a transport container for motorcycles, which has foldable side walls and a foldable lid.
[0007] From CH419966A, a transport container with a two-part lid having a front part and a rear part is known. The front part is connected to the rear part of the lid by means of a hinge. A tab is arranged on the front part of the lid, which can be connected with a toggle lever lock. The transport container has a front wall that can be folded open towards the front. In the closed position, a front edge of the front part of the lid overlaps the upper edge of the front wall. In order to load this transport container, the toggle lever lock must first be opened. The front part of the lid can then be lifted slightly to release the front wall, which can finally be tilted forward. Objects can be picked up from or removed from the transport container via both the lid and the side wall. The front wall of this transport container is therefore folded forward. This transport container has several significant disadvantages compared to the invention described below. The pivoting front section only allows objects to be removed from the top or diagonally from the transport container. Furthermore, due to the small size of the front section compared to the overall side wall, only small-volume transport items can be removed. An outward-pivoting flap brings with it further disadvantages. Delivery trolleys are often used in confined spaces, e.g. .on sidewalks or in building complexes. A flap that swings outward can be disruptive. Given this state of the art, it wouldn't be obvious to replace the tilting door with a sliding door. In the CH419966A, the side panel is locked in the closed position by the lid enclosing the hinged side panel. However, with a sliding door, the locking mechanism described in CH419966A would not work, as the side panel would still be able to slide sideways.
[0008] The DE9404450U1 shows a delivery car, which in the embodiment of the Fig. 3 three boxes. The two boxes are each equipped with an access door on their long walls. In addition, the two boxes each have a flap forming the roof surface. The access door is blocked at the side in the closed position by the flap overlapping. DE9404450U1 also has the disadvantages described above in connection with CH419966A. Even with this state of the art, it would not be obvious to use a sliding door, since the blocking of the pivoting door described in DE9404450U1 by grasping the lid from above would not work with a sliding door - the sliding door would still be able to be moved sideways.
[0009] US9457828B1 discloses a trolley for collecting and storing objects. The trolley has various possibilities for storing objects. In the embodiment of Fig. 8 und Fig. 9 The trolley has a front door to which a lid is hingedly attached. The lid closes an access opening on the top. When closed, the lid engages around a side panel of the trolley, preventing the door from being moved into the open position. To open the door, a lock must be opened and the lid partially opened. The door is designed as a swing door. The side wall has two blocking devices. On the one hand, the lid must be partially opened to release the overlap and on the other hand, the lock must be released. US9457828B1 therefore only teaches a blocking mechanism for swing doors, which cannot be transferred to the delivery trolley with a sliding door according to the invention.
[0010] The object of the present invention is to create a delivery trolley which enables simple, intuitive and variable access to the transported goods inside from different directions without the risk of losing the transported goods during transport.
[0011] This object is achieved by a delivery trolley according to claim 1. Preferred embodiments are specified in the dependent claims.
[0012] The delivery vehicle according to the invention therefore comprises: a chassis with wheels, a structure carried by the chassis with a receiving space for receiving transported goods, in particular mail items, wherein the structure has at least one side wall which is designed as a sliding door and is movable between a closed position closing a lateral access opening and an open position exposing the lateral access opening, wherein the structure further has at least one lid which is movable between a closed state closing a top-side loading opening and an open state exposing the top-side loading opening, wherein a hinge device is provided with which the lid can be pivoted between the closed state via a partially open state into the open state.
[0013] According to the invention, a blocking device is further provided which is designed to block the side wall in the closed position when the lid is closed and to release the movement of the side wall from the closed to the open position when the lid is at least partially open, wherein the movement of the lid from the closed state to the at least partially open state causes the blocking device to be arranged in a release position in which the movement of the side wall from the closed towards the open position is released.
[0014] The receiving space inside the structure can be loaded and unloaded with transport items via the top loading opening and the side access opening. To reliably prevent transport items from being lost during transport, the blocking device is arranged in a blocking position when the lid is closed, in which position the side wall is secured against movement from the closed to the open position. When the lid is closed, this prevents the side access opening from being accidentally opened. To load and unload the receiving space, the lid must be moved from the closed state to the at least partially open state, i.e. partially or fully open depending on the design. This means that the blocking device is arranged in a release position, in which the side wall can move from the closed to the open position. This design enables particularly simple, intuitive and safe operation, since the (partial) opening of the lid is accompanied by the release of the side access opening.
[0015] For the purposes of this disclosure, location and direction references such as "above," "below," "horizontal," "vertical," "lateral," etc., refer to the intended use of the delivery truck on a horizontal surface while traveling straight ahead.
[0016] In a preferred embodiment, the blocking device has a projection on one of the side wall and lid and a recess on the other of the side wall and lid, wherein the projection engages in the recess to block the movement of the side wall from the closed to the open position when the lid is closed and is guided out of the recess when the lid is (partially) open. Preferably, the projection is provided on the lid and the recess is provided on the side wall. However, the projection can also be provided on the side wall and the recess can also be provided on the lid. When the lid is closed, the projection is arranged in the recess in such a way that the side wall cannot be moved from the closed to the open position. Advantageously, this prevents the lateral access opening from being opened accidentally. This can prevent the loss of transported items, for example, during transport to the destination. If the receiving space is to be loaded or unloaded via the side access opening, the lid is positioned in the (at least partially) open position, which disengages the projection and the recess of the locking device, allowing the side wall to move from the closed to the open position, thus releasing the side access opening.
[0017] To enable a reversibly releasable engagement between the recess and the projection, in a preferred embodiment, the recess is provided at an upper edge region of the side wall, and the projection is provided at a lateral edge region of the lid. In this embodiment, the recess can be formed as a depression in the upper edge of the side wall, into which the correspondingly shaped projection of the lid can engage. Depending on the design, the projection can protrude inward from the lateral edge region of the lid, for example, toward the receiving space.
[0018] In a preferred embodiment, a locking device is provided which, in a locked state, locks the lid in the closed state and, in an unlocked state, allows the lid to move from the closed state toward the open state. In the locked state, the lid is secured against movement toward the open state, and the side wall is blocked by the blocking device against movement from the closed position toward the open position.
[0019] An embodiment is particularly preferred in which the locking device has a first locking element, in particular a first locking lever, wherein the lid, in an unlocked state of the first locking element, can be arranged in the partially open state, in which the lid is secured against movement from the partially open state towards the open state. In order to enable loading and unloading of the receiving space via the lateral access opening, it is therefore only necessary to unlock the first locking element, whereby the lid can be arranged in the partially open state, which lies between the closed state and the open state. In this partially open state, the blocking device of the side wall is arranged in the release position, i.e. deactivated.Advantageously, it is therefore not necessary to fully open the lid before the side access opening can be exposed. A relatively short movement of the lid from the closed to the partially open state is sufficient to transfer the blocking device from the blocking to the release position, thus enabling the movement of the side wall from the closed to the open position.
[0020] The partially opened state is preferably closer, in particular several times closer, to the closed state than the open state. This advantageously reduces the lifting movement of the lid to release the side wall. This protects the lid's opening mechanism. The fully opened state is referred to as the open state, from which the lid can no longer be moved further in the opening direction, but only in the opposite direction, toward the closed state.
[0021] If loading and unloading is to take place via the side access opening, it is sufficient to move the lid into the partially open state to release the blocking device, but not all the way to the open state. To release the top-side loading opening, it is advantageous if the locking device has a second locking element, in particular a second locking lever, wherein the lid is movable from the partially open state to the open state when the second locking element is unlocked. By unlocking the second locking element, the movement of the lid from the partially open state to the open state is released.
[0022] In a preferred embodiment, the first and / or second locking element is mounted on the structure, in particular pivotably. Preferably, the first and / or second locking element is movable, in particular pivotably, from the locked to the unlocked state against the spring force of a spring element.
[0023] Furthermore, the lid can have, in particular on the inside, a locking element which is locked to the first locking element when the lid is closed and / or is locked to the second locking element when the lid is partially open.
[0024] To prepare for transport after loading or unloading the receiving space, it is advantageous if the first locking element and / or the second locking element have a ramp for deflecting the first or second locking element when the lid is moved from the open to the closed state. When the lid is closed, the locking element strikes the ramp of the second or first locking element, causing the locking element to (temporarily) deflect the first or second locking element, allowing it to pass through.
[0025] In a preferred embodiment, an operating device is provided for transferring the locking device from the locked state to the unlocked state. Preferably, the operating device is configured to transfer the first and second locking elements from the locked state to the unlocked state.
[0026] The operating device preferably has an actuating element, in particular a handle, which is movable, in particular pivotable, for transferring the locking device from the locked to the unlocked state. Therefore, a handle is preferably provided which is actuated by an operator to unlock the lid in the closed state and enable movement into the (partially) open state.
[0027] To safely prepare the loading or unloading process, it is advantageous if the actuating element is movable, in particular pivotable, against the spring force of a spring element. Preferably, the actuating element is connected, in particular in one piece, to the first locking element, so that a movement, in particular pivoting, of the actuating element causes a corresponding movement, in particular pivoting, of the first locking element.
[0028] To achieve a component-saving, simple, and reliable design, it is advantageous if the actuating element is movable along a first path, in particular pivotable through a first angle, for unlocking the first locking element, and is movable along a second path, in particular pivotable through a second angle, for unlocking the second locking element. Thus, the actuating element is movable through the first or second path, as selected by the operator. The second path is different from the first path. Preferably, the second path is longer than the first path relative to the initial position of the actuating element. The same actuating element can therefore be used to control whether the lid should only be brought into the partially opened position in order to release the side wall, or whether the lid should be brought into the open position in order to enable loading or unloading via the top loading opening.
[0029] In order to enable the transition from the closed via the partially opened to the open state with a single, continuous actuation, the first locking element, in particular the first locking lever, is designed in a preferred embodiment to press the second locking element, in particular the second locking lever, into the unlocked state by moving the actuating element along the second path.
[0030] In a preferred embodiment, the lid is pivoted from the closed state to the open state by more than 50°, in particular more than 90°, preferably substantially 180°.
[0031] To assist the operator, the hinge device preferably has a spring device that biases the lid from the closed state toward the open state. This design is particularly advantageous if the locking device is provided with the first and / or second locking element. By unlocking the first locking element, the lid is moved automatically, i.e., without operator assistance, from the closed state toward the open state under the action of the spring device.
[0032] In a preferred embodiment, the lid can be arranged in the partially open state by moving the actuating element, in particular the handle, along the first path under the action of the spring device of the hinge device and can be blocked in the partially open state by means of the second locking element. In this embodiment, the spring device presses the lid, in the unlocked state of the first locking element, preferably independently, i.e. without assistance from the user, into the partially open state, in which the second locking element prevents further movement of the lid towards the open state. By transferring the second locking element into the unlocked state, the movement, in particular pivoting movement, of the lid from the partially open state towards the open state is released. In a preferred embodiment, the movement of the lid from the partially open state toward the open state is assisted by the spring device, preferably up to an intermediate state between the partially open state and the open state. Preferably, the lid can be moved from the intermediate state into the open state without assistance from the spring device, in particular by manual lifting.
[0033] In order to further improve lateral access into the receiving space inside the structure, in a preferred embodiment a further side wall is provided on the same long side of the structure as the side wall, wherein the further side wall is movable between a closed position closing a further lateral access opening and an open position exposing the further lateral access opening, wherein a further lid is provided which is movable between a closed state closing a further top-side loading opening and an open state exposing the further top-side loading opening, wherein a further blocking device is provided which is designed to block the further side wall in the closed position when the further lid is closed and to release the movement of the further side wall into the open position when the further lid is at least partially open.
[0034] In a further preferred embodiment, at least one additional side wall, preferably two additional side walls, is provided on the opposite longitudinal side of the body. The at least one additional side wall is preferably designed identically to the side wall on the other longitudinal side. In this embodiment, the receiving space can be loaded and unloaded via lateral access openings from both sides of the delivery vehicle.
[0035] The invention is further explained below with reference to an embodiment shown in the drawings. Fig. 1 shows a delivery trolley according to the invention in the closed state of a lid, via which the delivery trolley can be loaded and unloaded from above. [0036] The drawings show a delivery van 1 designed as a mail delivery van for transporting mail items such as letters and parcels. The delivery van 1 has a chassis 2 on which two rear wheels 3 and two front wheels 4, here two swivel casters, are arranged. The rear wheels 3 are connected to a rear-wheel drive 5, in particular an electric rear-wheel motor, to move the delivery van 1. At the rear, the delivery van 1 has a handling element 6, here a handling handle, with which the delivery van 1 can be steered and, preferably, also the rear-wheel drive 5 can be assisted by pushing. An operating element 7, here a control panel, is provided on the handling element 6, with which the user of the delivery van 1 can set various functions, for example, the speed of the rear-wheel drive 5. The chassis 2 carries a structure 8 for receiving the transported goods.Furthermore, the delivery vehicle 1 has a device 9 at the front for overcoming a roadway step, which is in particular a curb protruding from the roadway. The device 9 has a track drive 12 located essentially centrally between the two front wheels 4 for overcoming the roadway step.
[0037] The structure 8 (which is essentially cuboid-shaped when closed) has two side walls 13 on each long side, each of which can be adjusted between a closed position completely closing a lateral access opening 14 (cf. Fig. 1 ) and an open position which frees the lateral access opening 14. The two side walls 13 are designed as sliding doors which are offset from one another in the transverse direction of the chassis 2 so that the side walls 13 can slide past one another. The body 8 has a frame 15 with vertical frame parts 15A and horizontal frame parts 15B, on which the upper and lower edge regions of the side walls 13 are guided so as to be displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the chassis 2 and which is connected to a chassis floor 11. In the open position, the lateral access opening 14 extends along a vertical plane on one of the long sides of the body 8. Handles 16 for moving the side walls 13 are provided on the outer sides of the side walls 13.
[0038] In addition, the structure has two covers 17, which are pivotably mounted on the frame 15 via a hinge device 18. The covers 17 can each be rotated substantially 180° from a closed state closing a top-side loading opening 19 (see Fig. 1 ) into an open state which releases the upper loading opening 19 (cf. Fig. 10 ) movable. In the open state, the loading opening 19 extends in a horizontal plane on the top side of the structure 8. The hinge device 18 has a spring device 20 which, in the closed state, presses the lids 17 toward the open state in order to facilitate the lifting of the respective lid 17. When the lid 17 is closed, the spring device 20 is tensioned. For example, the spring device 20 can have one or more torsion springs which act between the frame 15 and hinge parts connected to the lids 17.
[0039] The side access opening 14 and the top loading opening 19 lead into a receiving space 10 of the body 8, which can be loaded with various transport items.
[0040] In addition, a blocking device 21 is provided, with which the side wall 13 is blocked in the closed position, i.e., secured against displacement into the open position, when the lid 17 is lowered onto this side wall 13 in the closed state. By transferring the lid 17 into the partially open state, the blocking device 21 is released, so that the side wall 13 can then be moved from the closed to the open position (cf. Fig. 6 und Fig. 7 ). The blocking device 21 has a projection 22 and a recess 23, which are shaped such that the projection 22 can engage in the recess 23 when the cover 17 is in the closed state and the side wall 13 is simultaneously arranged in the closed position (cf. Fig. 5 ). In the embodiment shown, the projection 22 projects inwards from the cover 17. Viewed from the outside, the projection 22 is formed by an indentation in the cover 17. Preferably, the projection 22 is formed integrally with the adjacent sections of the cover 17, for example by a forming process. The recess 23 is provided at the upper edge region of the side wall 13. Preferably, the recess 23 is formed by a cutout, for example a cutout, in the upper edge region of the side wall 13. To block the movement of the side wall 13 from the closed to the open position, the projection 22 can engage from above into the recess 23, thereby blocking displacement in the longitudinal direction of the structure 8.
[0041] In addition, a locking device 24 is provided which, in a locked state, locks the lid 17 in the closed state against the force of the spring device 20 and, in an unlocked state, releases the movement of the lid 17 from the closed state with the assistance of the spring device 20 towards the open state.
[0042] The locking device 24 has a first locking element 25, which in the embodiment shown is designed as a locking lever that is pivotably mounted on the frame 15 of the structure 8. The first locking element 25 interacts with a locking element 26, designed as a round part in the example shown, which is provided on the cover 17. In the locked state, the first locking element 25 on the frame 15 is hooked to the locking element 26 on the cover 17, so that the cover 17 is held in the closed state against the spring force of the spring device 20. To unlock the first locking element 25, an operating device 27 is provided, which has a handle 28, here integrally connected to the first locking element 25, which can be pivoted from the zero position against the force of a spring element (not shown).By pivoting the handle 28, which is accessible to the operator on the rear of the body 8, the first locking element 25 is pivoted into the unlocked state. Due to the action of the spring device 20, the cover 17 is pivoted upwards toward the open state until it reaches a partially open state, in which the latching element 26 abuts a second locking element 29 of the locking device 25, thereby holding the cover 17 in the partially open state. In the illustrated embodiment, a second locking lever is provided as the second locking element 29, which is pivotably mounted on the frame 15 of the body 8.By unlocking the second locking element 29, the lid 17 is released in the partially open state, so that the lid 17 is pivoted upwards under the spring action of the spring device 20 from the partially open state into an intermediate state at which the spring action of the spring device 20 is exhausted. Starting from this intermediate state, the lid 17 can be manually folded over into the open state, lying on the other lid 17 (see . Fig. 10 ).
[0043] To unlock the first locking element 25, the handle 28 is pivoted through a first angle. This unlocks the first locking element, so that the lid 17 is arranged in the partially open state with the aid of the spring device 20 and held in the partially open state with the second locking element. At the same time, the blocking device 21 is arranged in the release position to enable the displacement of the side wall 13. Therefore, if the user wishes to use the side access opening 14 but not the top loading opening 19, the user will pivot the handle 28 through the first angle and then move the side wall 13. If the top loading opening 19 is to be used, the user will pivot the handle 28 through a second angle, which is greater than the first angle. As a result, the first locking element 25 is pivoted so far that not only is the first locking element 25 unlocked by the latching element 26 and the cover 17 arranged in the partially opened state, but also the first locking element 25 presses the second locking element 29 into the unlocked state.
[0044] The first locking element 25 has a first run-up slope 30, and the second locking element 29 has a second run-up slope 31. When the lid 17 is moved from the open to the closed state, the locking element 26 on the lid 17 initially strikes the second run-up slope 31 of the second locking element 29, causing the second locking element 29 to be deflected against the spring force of the spring element, allowing the locking element 26 to pass the second locking element 29. The spring force of the spring element then causes the second locking element 29 to return to its original position.Subsequently, the locking element 26 strikes the first run-up slope 30 of the first locking element 25, whereby the first locking element 25 is deflected against the spring force of the spring element, the locking element 26 can pass the first locking element 25 and the first locking element 25 can then return to its starting position.
[0045] The additional side wall and the additional lid (as well as the additional side walls on the opposite long side) can be opened and closed according to the mechanism described above. For this purpose, appropriate additional devices, in particular additional blocking and locking devices, are provided. List of reference numbers:
