Abstract
Description
[0001] A ROLLER SHUTTER SYSTEM
[0002] Technical Field
[0003] This invention relates to a roller shutter system that can be adjusted as open / closed at the level requested by the user by folding the roller shutter slats in the rail and can be opened by collecting them completely in the box or can be completely closed.
[0004] Prior art
[0005] A standard roller shutter in the state of the art is mounted to each other with the femalemale hook sections of the slats, realises its rotational movement through the femalemale hook connection, and is formed by mounting the uniform slats one after the other. Standard roller shutters open and close linearly on a straight line and the amount of light taken into the interior environment cannot be adjusted by the end user other than the amount of opening and closing. For this reason, there is a need for a solution which can be adjusted as open / closed at the desired level, such as a zebra curtain, as desired by the user, and which can be opened by being completely collected in the box or closed.
[0006] The invention in the patent document no AU2010236070A1 in the state of the art works like a jalousie and is not a roller shutter that opens upwards and can be used in a sliding or folding system. In said document, the sun and air entering the interior environment are adjusted by the rotation of each slat around its own axis. However, this adjustment is in the extent allowed by the system.
[0007] The slats in the patent document no EP2811103A1 in the state of the art work like a jalousie. By means of the chain to which the slats are attached, the amount of sun and air entering the interior environment can be adjusted by rotating the slat hook angularly around its axes. The slats are mounted on the chain via the slat hook and the mounting of slats to one another in ensured by means of the chain. In the prior art, the opening and closing of the roller shutter is provided by the up and down movement of the slats in a single row along a single axis.
[0008] The slats in the patent document no EP3608499A1 in the state of the art work like a jalousie. By means of the chain to which the slats are attached, the sun and air entering the indoor environment can be adjusted by fully closing the slats fully or rotating them at various angles. The mounting of slats to one another in ensured by means of the chain. In the prior art, the opening and closing of the blinds is provided by the up and down movement of the slats in a single row along a single axis.
[0009] In the patent document no EP3508681 A1 in the state of the art, a jalousie type roller shutter related to a mechanism that enables the slats to be opened and closed by utilizing the weight of the blind is disclosed. By means of the chain connecting the slats to one another, the sun and air entering the indoor environment can be adjusted by angular rotation of the slats. In the prior art, the opening and closing of the blinds is provided by the up and down movement of the slats in a single row along a single axis.
[0010] In the patent document no EP3514311 A1 in the state of the art, an invention that works like a brisoley system is mentioned. By turning the slats 90°, the sun and air entering the indoor environment are adjusted. The roller shutter is opened and closed by opening and closing the slats by 90° and folding them on top of one another. There is no winding around a pipe. In the prior art, the opening and closing of the roller shutter is provided by the up and down movement of the slats in a single row along a single axis.

[0037] A roller shutter system (1 ) that is the subject of the invention ensuring the obtaining of the open / closed position at the desired level by enabling the folding of roller shutter slats inside a channel comprises,
[0038] - at least two rails (2) located opposite to each other,
[0039] - at least one slat set (3) consisting of more than one slats (4) which can be brought to open or closed position or to any position the user desires by moving inside the opposite rails (2),
[0040] - at least one chain mechanism (5) positioned on both ends of the slats (4) and enabling the movement of the slats (4) inside the rail (2),
[0041] - at least one stopper (6) or at least one slat stopper (13) ensuring the connection of the slat set (3) and the chain mechanism (5),
[0042] - at least two wicks (7) on the ends of a slat set (3) composed by more than one slats (4) coming together, and
[0043] - at least one gasket (8) between the slats (4) in a slat set (3) composed by more than one slats (4) coming together.
[0044] In the roller shutter system (1 ) that is the subject of the invention, the chain mechanism (5) moves on the rail (2) and by this way, the slat set (3) formed by the slats (4) connected by the stopper (6) or the slat stopper (13) in the chain mechanism (5) is brought to the desired position. The rail (2) guides the chain mechanism (5) to which the slats (4) with up and down movement axis working two-fold are mounted and prevents the movement in different axes apart from up and down movement. The rail (2) is designed in two parts to facilitate the mounting of the slat curtain. In the preferred embodiment, the rail (2) can be made of aluminium or other metals or polymer or composites or PVC or wood, by extrusion or roll form or pultrusion or injection or other manufacturing methods.
[0045] In the roller shutter system (1 ) that is the subject of the invention, the slat set (3) is formed by bringing preferably three slats (4) together. There is one gasket (8) at the joint and one wick (7) at the end parts of the slats (4). In the preferred embodiment, wicks (7) are fibre wicks and are used both to ensure sealing and to eliminate the working noise. Wicks (7) are mounted on the wick slots on the rail (2). By mounting the wicks (7) into the slot, the movement of the slat sets (3) is regulated. In the preferred embodiment, slat sets (3) are formed by bringing 1 , 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or more slats (4) together.
[0046] In the slat set (3), slats (4) make rotational movement on other slats (4) by means of the chain mechanism (5). In the preferred embodiment, the rotational movement in the slat set are realised on axis of the pin (11 ) in the chain mechanism (5). For instance, in a slat set (3) consisting of three slats (4) as lower, upper and middle slats (4), the lower and upper slats (4) rotate on the middle slat (4). By fixing the slat (4) in the front top row in a slat set (3) to the rail (2), slat sets (3) are brought to different positions with up and down movement beginning from the slats (4) in the back row, and the amount of the light taken in is adjusted. In the roller shutter system (1 ) that is the subject of the invention, middle slat (4) rotates with the slats (4) over and below it over one another. In the preferred embodiment of the invention, slats (4) are made of aluminium, other metals, PVC or polymer or composites or wood. As the manufacturing method, extrusion or rollform or pultrusion or injection or other manufacturing methods can be used.
[0047] In the roller shutter system (1 ) that is the subject of the invention, the chain mechanism (5) comprises more than one chain parts (9), more than one sheet parts (10) used in the connection of chain parts (9) to one another, and more than one pins (11 ) passed through the sheet part (10) and the chain part (9) together, holding said parts (9, 10) together. At least one locking element (12) is used between the pin (11 ) and the sheet parts (10). In the preferred embodiment (Figure 3), the locking element (12) is a ring. This locking can be achieved by different elements or manufacturing methods. In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the chain part (9) is manufactured by plastic or polymer or metal or composite or wood injection process, casting, forging and similar manufacturing methods.
[0048] In the roller shutter system (1 ) that is the subject of the invention, the chain mechanism (5) ensures the connection of the slats (4) to one another, and the winding of slats (4) for the opening and closing of the slat curtain formed by more than one slat sets (3), thereby forming a rotational axis for the rotation movement to be made by the slats (4) on one another. By ensuring the guiding of up and down linear movement of the roller shutter and the folding of the slats (4) on one another as a fabric, the chain mechanism (5) adjusts the gap setting of the light to be taken in via slat sets (3).
[0049] In another preferred embodiment of the roller shutter system (1 ) that is the subject of the invention (Figure 4), the chain mechanism (5) comprises more than one connection stopper (15) used in the connection of two slat stoppers (13) to each other or of two intermediate stopper (14) to each other or of one slat stopper (13) and one intermediate stopper (14) to each other. The connection stoppers (15) ensure that the slat stoppers (13) and intermediate stoppers (14) stick together by the help of pins (11 ) that are connection elements, forming the chain mechanism (5). (Figure 4) In the said alternative chain mechanism (5), the slat stopper (13) is used for the same purpose with the first embodiment.
[0050] In the invention, the stoppers (6) and the slat stoppers (13) ensure the connection of the slat sets (3) to the chain mechanism (5) by the help of a connection element such as a screw. In the invention, the stopper (6) and the slat stopper (13) are sub-parts of the chain mechanism (5) and ensure that connection of the chain mechanism (5) and the slats (4). The stopper (6) in the preferred embodiment of the invention, and the slat stopper (13) in another preferred embodiment of the invention provide the connection of the slats (4) to one another, and the rotational axis for the rotational movement they will do on one another. In the preferred embodiments, the stopper (6) and the slat stopper (13) can be manufactured by plastic or polymer or metal or composite or wood injection process, casting, forging and similar manufacturing methods. In the roller shutter system (1 ) that is the subject of the invention, by means of the chain mechanism (5) and the slat curtain moving between the rails (2) by way of the chain mechanism (5), day light and fresh air are taken in more easily. For this, slats (4) forming the slat sets (3) work by folding inside the rail (2) like fabric. In line with these basic concepts, it is possible to develop a wide variety of embodiments relating to “A Roller Shutter System (1 )” that is the subject of the invention, and the invention cannot be limited to the examples described here, it is essentially as stated in the claims.
