Description

[0001] The invention relates to a fast safety switch and a system with such a safety switch.

[0002] Safety switches, also known as quick-action earthing devices or short-circuit switches, are particularly well-known in medium-voltage systems, i.e., between 1000V and approximately 52.5kV, for extinguishing arcs in the event of a fault. However, such safety switches are also required for voltages below 1000V.

[0003] State-of-the-art devices for medium-voltage applications are known that achieve switching times of less than 5 ms using a single-pole switch and an explosive charge as the actuator. Reuse of the switch is not possible after tripping.

[0004] A system is also known in which an electromagnetic drive switches three poles in one operation, although the switch structure is complex in this case.

[0005] Also known is a device with an electromagnetic unlatching, release and a spring drive.

[0006] The use of a magnetic release with a latch is known according to DE102018216210A1.

[0007] EP 2 677 530 A3 discloses a linearly driven earthing switch with side and top covers. It is driven by a spring drive or a gear mechanism to a closed—grounded—position and then moved to the open position using the gear mechanism and a tool. In the open position, three fixed contacts are separated from the moving contacts, and in the closed position, the moving contacts and fixed contacts make contact.

[0008] The object of the invention is to provide an improved safety switch which eliminates disadvantages of the prior art.

[0009] One embodiment relates to a fast safety switch, wherein the fast safety switch comprises a switch housing, wherein the switch housing comprises: six housing outer sides, with a housing front, an open housing rear, a housing top, a housing bottom, a first housing side and a second housing side, an operating tool interface operable through one of the housing outer sides, and one or more connection elements for controlling the fast safety switch, the fast safety switch can be unlatched with an electromagnetic release and the fast safety switch has a moving contact, in particular a single moving contact, which is movable by means of a spring mechanism, wherein the spring mechanism is latched in a pre-tensioned position and the latching is releasable with the electromagnetic release, the moving contact is designed such that the moving contact in a first position: is electrically conductively connected to a fourth pole terminal, and is arranged electrically separated from a first pole terminal and a second pole terminal and a third pole terminal, and that the moving contact in a second position: is electrically conductively connected to a fourth pole terminal, and is arranged electrically conductively and contacting the first pole terminal and the second pole terminal and the third pole terminal,The fast safety switch can be moved from the first position to the second position by unlatching with the electromagnetic release, and the fast safety switch can be moved from the second position to the first position via the operating tool interface. In particular, this safety switch is designed for operating voltages below 1000V.

[0010] It is preferred that the fast safety switch has a first fixed contact arrangement, a second fixed contact arrangement and a third fixed contact arrangement, wherein the first fixed contact arrangement is electrically conductively connected to the first pole connection, the second fixed contact arrangement is electrically conductively connected to the second pole connection and the third fixed contact arrangement is electrically conductively connected to the third pole connection, and the moving contact is designed to contact the first fixed contact arrangement, the second fixed contact arrangement and the third fixed contact arrangement almost simultaneously, i.e. preferably within 1 ms, during a transition from the first position to the second position, so that the first fixed contact arrangement, the second fixed contact arrangement and the third fixed contact arrangement are electrically conductively connected to one another and to the fourth pole connection almost simultaneously.

[0011] It is also preferred that the moving contact has a first extension, a second extension and a third extension, wherein the first extension is parallel to the directions of movement of the moving contact and the moving contact has a thickening in the third extension along the first extension, wherein the first fixed contact arrangement, the second fixed contact arrangement and the third fixed contact arrangement in the second position electrically contact the moving contact at the thickening.

[0012] It is also preferred that the first fixed contact arrangement, the second fixed contact arrangement and the third fixed contact arrangement in the first position are arranged on the moving contact in a region of the moving contact that is thinner than the thickening such that the first fixed contact arrangement, the second fixed contact arrangement and the third fixed contact arrangement in the first position are spaced from the moving contact and do not electrically contact the moving contact.

[0013] It is further preferred that the first fixed contact arrangement has a first fixed contact on a first side of the moving contact and a second first fixed contact on the first side of the moving contact, The second fixed contact arrangement comprises a first, second fixed contact on a second side of the moving contact and a second, second fixed contact on the second side of the moving contact, and the third fixed contact arrangement comprises a first, third fixed contact on the first side of the moving contact and a second, third fixed contact on a second side of the moving contact. This ensures a uniform load and force application to the moving contact when the fixed contacts make contact.

[0014] It is also preferred that the first fixed contact arrangement, the second fixed contact arrangement and the third fixed contact arrangement are each acted upon by a force and arranged in such a way that the first fixed contact arrangement, the second fixed contact arrangement and the third fixed contact arrangement do not electrically contact the moving contact in the first position and electrically contact the moving contact in the second position and are pressed against the moving contact with a holding force in each case.

[0015] It is also preferred that each of the fixed contact arrangements is formed with a current band-contact combination, wherein the current band-contact combination is each provided with a moving element formed with one or more of a fabric band or strands or lamellae, wherein the moving element ∘ has a first moving element end and a second moving element end and ∘ the first moving element end has a first moving element connection formed by welding, pressing and / or soldering and the second moving element end has a second moving element connection formed by welding, pressing and / or soldering, a fixed contact arranged on the first moving element connection or second moving element connection, wherein the fixed contact can be arranged movably by the moving element.

[0016] "Movably arranged" here means that, when properly mounted, the fixed contact has a mobility that, in particular, allows a limited evasive movement. When a moving contact strikes the fixed contact, the fixed contact allows a limited evasive movement away from the moving contact, in particular an evasive movement perpendicular to a direction of movement of the moving contact. In other words, "movably arranged" here means that the fixed contact can be moved by the moving contact, in particular that the fixed contact can execute an evasive movement with respect to the moving contact, in particular perpendicular to the direction of movement of the moving contact. The fixed contact is therefore not an actively moved element, but an element that can be moved by the moving contact, in particular one designed for a limited evasive movement.

[0017] The fixed contact can be formed entirely by the fixed contact finger(s) or can have further elements, such as a fixed contact finger carrier, a fixed contact carrier or an evasive movement restriction.

[0018] Such segmentation, i.e. splitting, of the fixed contact into individual fixed contact fingers leads to greater reliability in the contact between the moving contact and the fixed contact.

[0019] In particular, it is preferred that the fixed contact has two or more fixed contact fingers, wherein the fixed contact fingers are connected to the first moving element end or the second moving element end, and the first moving element end or second moving element end connected to the fixed contact fingers is slotted, i.e. segmented, together with a first moving element section of the moving element in such a way that the first moving element end or second moving element end connected to the fixed contact fingers has moving element end segments and only one fixed contact finger is connected to each moving element end segment. This allows for independent movement of the fixed contact fingers, further increasing the reliability of the structure. "Slotted" refers to a separation, particularly a segmentation.

[0020] It is particularly preferred that each of the two or more fixed contact fingers is connected to a respective moving element segment by soldering, welding or pressing.

[0021] It is also preferred that each of the two or more fixed contact fingers has a first receptacle for restricting evasive movement. This enables a defined, i.e., predetermined, permissible evasive movement, in particular without jeopardizing secure, i.e., reliable, contact.

[0022] It is also preferred that each of the two or more fixed contact fingers has a second receptacle for a fixed contact finger carrier. Such a second receptacle for a fixed contact finger carrier enables modular prefabrication, i.e., the ability to assemble the fixed contacts in a fixed contact finger carrier as a single assembly and then easily integrate this assembly into a predefined contact system. Such pre-assembly reduces assembly costs, assembly time, and assembly reliability, thus reducing sources of error, especially when such pre-assembled assemblies are tested separately.

[0023] It is further preferred that a fastening means receptacle be provided at the first end of the moving element or the second end of the moving element that is not connected to the fixed contact. Such a fastening means receptacle enables easy connection of the current strip-contact combination to a contact system, in particular without requiring integral connections.

[0024] It is also preferred that one or more force application points are provided on the fixed contact. Such force application points enable the application of a force, in particular a spring force, to the fixed contact, preferably directed opposite to the possible direction of the evasive movement. Thus, additional contact pressure can be generated between the fixed contact and a moving contact in the state in which the moving contact electrically contacts the fixed contact. In particular, the direction of the evasive movement is perpendicular to the direction of movement of the moving contact.

[0025] It is also preferred that each current band-contact combination is arranged in a U-shape, with a first leg of the U, i.e. the U-shape, and a second leg of the U, i.e. the U-shape, such that in the second position of the fast safety switch, a current flow through the current band-contact combinations causes a repulsive force between the respective first leg of the U and the second leg of the U, and thus presses the respective fixed contact against the moving contact and thus increases the contact pressure.

[0026] In particular, the moving element and the fixed contact form the U-shape, i.e. the first moving element connection or the second moving element connection preferably forms a first leg of the U-shape and the fixed contact preferably forms a second leg of the U-shape.

[0027] It is also preferred that the first pole connection, the second pole connection, the third pole connection and the fourth pole connection are arranged on a side opposite the electromagnetic release and that the moving contact is connected to the fourth pole connection via one or more current strips. The power is therefore supplied to the moving contact from the same side as the connections for the fixed contacts. With regard to the device according to the invention, all statements made above and below regarding the method according to the invention apply accordingly, and vice versa; in particular, the device according to the invention is designed to carry out the method according to the invention in any desired embodiment or a combination of desired embodiments. With regard to the advantages of the device according to the invention, reference is also made to the advantages described for the method according to the invention.

[0028] The invention is explained in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment. [0029] The Figure 1 shows a schematic sectional view of a safety switch 100 according to the invention in the open and latched state.

[0030] The safety switch 100 has a housing, wherein the housing in the Figure 1 an open housing rear side 114, a first housing side 117, a second housing side 118 and a housing front side are visible. The housing top side 115 and housing bottom side 116 are in the Figure 1 not shown.

[0031] In the Figure 1In the open state shown, the fixed contacts 215, here visible the first fixed contact 215 and the first second fixed contact 225, do not contact the moving contact 200, i.e. the fixed contacts 215 are electrically separated, insulated, from the moving contact 200. The latch 310 is locked, i.e. the safety switch 100 is latched. The latch 310 can be triggered, i.e. unlatched, by the electromagnetic release 300. The unlatching of the latch 310 causes an energy store, here a mechanical energy store in the form of a spring store 340, in particular in the form of a disc spring assembly, to release the stored energy, here in particular in the form of a movement of the moving contact 200. The spring store 340 can be tensioned, i.e. re-energized, by means of the operating tool interface 120.Furthermore, after the spring mechanism 340 has been tensioned, the latch is moved from the unlatched position to the latched position by means of the operating tool interface 120, so that a new switching action can be triggered by the electromagnetic trigger 300. The electromagnetic trigger 300, the latch 310, and the spring mechanism 340 form the drive of the safety switch 100.

[0032] The spring accumulator 100 is mechanically connected to the moving contact 200, wherein the spring accumulator 340 is preferably mechanically connected to the moving contact 200 via an electrically insulating connecting piece 190.

[0033] The moving contact is movable but electrically conductively connected to a fourth pole terminal 240, wherein the movable and electrically conductive connection is preferably made by means of one or more current strips 250, in particular two current strips 250.

[0034] The fourth terminal connection 240 is arranged on the open housing rear side 114. The first terminal connection 210, the second terminal connection 220 and the third terminal connection 230 are also arranged on the open housing rear side 114. The first terminal connection 210, the second terminal connection 220, the third terminal connection 230 and the fourth terminal connection 240 are arranged electrically insulated from one another, which is achieved by dielectric intermediate elements (not shown) and by a spacing (not shown here), but see Figure 4 , or an insulating coating can be realized.

[0035] The Figure 2 shows a schematic sectional view of the safety switch 100 according to the invention of the Figure 1 in the closed and unlatched state.

[0036] The safety switch 100 has a housing, wherein the housing in the Figure 2an open housing rear side 114, a first housing side 117, a second housing side 118 and a housing front side are visible. The housing top side 115 and housing bottom side 116 are in the Figure 2 not shown.

[0037] In the Figure 2 In the closed state shown, the fixed contacts 215, visible here are the first fixed contact 215 and the first second fixed contact 225, electrically contact the moving contact 200. The latch 310 is unlocked, meaning the safety switch 100 is unlatched. The latch 310 is triggered by the electromagnetic release 300, meaning it is unlatched.

[0038] The fixed contacts 215, here the first fixed contact 215 and the first second fixed contact 225, are each connected to an evasive movement restriction 150 and a fixed contact finger carrier 160. The first receptacle 216 for the evasive movement restriction 150 and the second receptacle 217 for the fixed contact finger carrier used for the connection are shown in the Figures 5 and 6 shown, but not the Figure 2 .

[0039] The spring accumulator 340 can be tensioned, i.e., re-energized, by means of the operating tool interface 120. Furthermore, after tensioning the spring accumulator 340, the latching is moved from the unlatched position to the latched position of the Figure 1so that a new switching action can be triggered by the electromagnetic trigger 300. The electromagnetic trigger 300, the latch 310, and the spring-loaded mechanism 340 also form the drive of the safety switch 100.

[0040] The moving contact is movable but electrically conductively connected to a fourth pole terminal 240, wherein the movable and electrically conductive connection is preferably made by means of one or more current strips 250, in particular two or four current strips 250.

[0041] The fourth terminal connection 240 is arranged on the open housing rear side 114.

[0042] The Figure 3shows a schematic sectional view of a safety switch 100 according to the invention with the open housing rear 114, the housing front 113 with operating tool interface 120, the housing top 115 and the housing bottom 116 with connection elements 130. The connection elements 130 serve for electrical and / or optical contact for controlling monitors of the safety switch 100, thus providing a communication interface. In the illustration of the Figure 3 the first second fixed contact 225, the second second fixed contact 225` and the first third fixed contact 235 are shown on one side of the moving contact 200.

[0043] Some of the connecting elements 130 are connected to the electromagnetic trigger 300, so that the electromagnetic trigger 300 can be triggered and optionally monitored via this connection. Furthermore, some connecting elements 130 are optionally connected to a position determination device 315 such that the position of the latch can be monitored.

[0044] The Figure 4 shows a schematic perspective view of a safety switch 100 according to the invention, with the open housing rear side 114, the housing bottom side 116 with connection elements 130, the first housing side 117 and the second housing side 118.

[0045] On the open housing rear side 114, the first terminal 210, the second terminal 220, the third terminal 230, and the fourth terminal 240 are arranged in an electrically insulated manner from one another, which is achieved here by spacing the first terminal 210, the second terminal 220, the third terminal 230, and the fourth terminal 240. The fourth terminal 240 is additionally secured here by an optional, electrically insulating retaining element 245.

[0046] The fourth pole connection 240 is electrically connected to the moving contact 200 (not shown here) by four visible current bands 250, wherein two of the current bands 250 are visible and two current bands are hidden by the fourth pole connection 240.

[0047] The Figure 5shows a schematic representation of a current strip-contact combination 1 according to the invention with a fixed contact 215 and a moving element 255. The moving element 255 has a first moving element end 256 and a second moving element end 257. The first moving element end 256 forms a first moving element connection by means of welding, pressing and / or soldering, and the second moving element end 257 forms a second moving element connection by means of welding, pressing and / or soldering. The fixed contact 215 is arranged here, for example, on the second moving element connection at the second moving element end 257. The first moving element connection at the first moving element end 256 here, for example and preferably, has two fastening means receptacles 254. The fixed contact 215 here, for example, has a first receptacle 216 for an evasive movement restriction 150 (not shown).

[0048] Furthermore, an optional second receptacle 217 is shown on the fixed contact, which serves to hold a fixed contact finger carrier not shown here.

[0049] The fixed contact 215 is connected to the second moving element connection such that the fixed contact 215 is movable by the moving element 255. In particular, the fixed contact is thus capable of performing an evasive movement with respect to a moving contact (not shown), wherein the moving contact has a direction of movement 201 and the fixed contact 215 can perform a movement in a further direction of movement 203 perpendicular to the direction of movement 201 of the moving contact.

[0050] The connection of the fixed contact 215 to the second moving element connection is preferably carried out by means of welding, pressing, screwing, riveting and / or soldering, particularly preferably by means of welding.

[0051] Furthermore, optional force introduction points 218 are provided, which apply a force, in particular a spring force, to the fixed contacts 215, which is preferably directed opposite to the possible direction of the evasive movement.

[0052] The Figure 6 shows a schematic representation of a current strip-contact combination 1 according to the invention with fixed contact fingers 215a, 215b, 215c, 215d and a moving element 255 with a first moving element end 256 and a second moving element end 257.

[0053] The moving element 255 is slotted or segmented in a first moving element section 255a toward the second moving element end 257 such that moving element end segments 255b, 255c, 255d, 255e are formed, each of which is connected to a fixed contact finger 215a, 215b, 215c, 215d. Thus, in this embodiment, each of the fixed contact fingers 215a, 215b, 215c, 215d is individually movable.

[0054] The first moving element end 256 forms a first moving element connection by means of welding, pressing, and / or soldering, and the second moving element end 257 forms a second moving element connection by means of welding, pressing, and / or soldering. The fixed contact fingers 215a, 215b, 215c, 215d are arranged, for example, on the second moving element connection at the second moving element end 257. The first moving element connection at the first moving element end 256 preferably has, for example, two fastening means receptacles 254. The fixed contact fingers 215a, 215b, 215c, 215d each have, for example, first receptacles 216 for an evasive movement restriction (not shown).

[0055] Furthermore, an optional second receptacle 217 is shown on the individual fixed contact fingers 215a, 215b, 215c, 215d, which serve to receive a fixed contact finger carrier not shown here.

[0056] The fixed contact fingers 215a, 215b, 215c, 215d are connected to the second moving element connection such that the fixed contact fingers 215a, 215b, 215c, 215d are movable by the moving element 215. In particular, the fixed contact fingers are thus capable of performing an evasive movement with respect to a moving contact (not shown), wherein the moving contact has a direction of movement 201 and the fixed contact 215 can perform a movement in a further direction of movement 203 perpendicular to the direction of movement 201 of the moving contact.

[0057] The connection of the fixed contact fingers 215a, 215b, 215c, 215d to the second moving element connection, or to the moving element segments 255b, 255c, 255d, 255e, is preferably carried out by means of welding, pressing, screwing, riveting and / or soldering, particularly preferably by means of welding.

[0058] Furthermore, optional force introduction points 218 are provided, which apply a force, in particular a spring force, to the fixed contact fingers 215a, 215b, 215c, 215d, which is preferably directed opposite to the possible direction of the evasive movement.

[0059] The Figure 7 shows a schematic representation of a moving contact 200 according to the invention for a safety switch 100 according to the invention.

[0060] The moving contact 200 has a thickening 207 with a coupling side 205 to the spring accumulator 340, wherein the coupling to the spring accumulator is made via a Figure 1 shown electrically insulating connecting piece 190. On the side opposite the coupling side 205, the thickened portion 207 here has an optional rounded edge 206 or shoulder 206 of the thickened portion 207 of the moving contact 200.

[0061] The thinner region 208 of the moving contact 200 has a top side 204 of the moving contact 200.

[0062] The moving contact has: a first extension 201, which is also a movement direction 201 of the moving contact 200; a second extension 202 of the moving contact 200; and a third extension 203 of the moving contact 200, which is also a further movement direction 203 perpendicular to the movement direction 201 of the moving contact 200.

[0063] When properly mounted, the moving contact can therefore be moved along the direction of movement 201.

[0064] The thickening 207 of the moving contact 200 serves to electrically contact the fixed contacts 215 in the closed state, while in the open state the fixed contacts are electrically separated from the moving contact 200 in the vicinity of the thinner area 208 of the moving contact 200.

[0065] By moving the moving contact 200 in the direction of movement 201 of the moving contact 200, the moving contact can be changed from the closed state to the open state and vice versa.

[0066] The Figure 8 shows a schematic representation of an inventive arrangement of fixed contacts 215, 215', 235' around the moving contact 200 from a first side 203a of the moving contact 200, with a current band 250, for a safety switch 100 according to the invention.

[0067] The moving contact 200 again has a thickening 207 with a shoulder 206 and a thinner area 208.

[0068] On the first side 203a of the moving contact 200, a first fixed contact 215 and a second first fixed contact 215' are arranged in a first fixed contact arrangement 214, and a second third fixed contact 235' of the third fixed contact arrangement 234 are arranged. The open state of the safety switch 100 is shown. In the preferred embodiment shown, the first fixed contact arrangement 214 and the second third fixed contact 235' are spaced further apart than the first fixed contact 215 and the second first fixed contact 215'. This greater spacing between the first fixed contact arrangement 214 and the third fixed contact arrangement 234 results in improved electrical insulation of different phases while simultaneously maintaining the compactness of the safety switch 100.

[0069] The Figure 9Time schematic representation of an inventive arrangement of fixed contacts 225, 225', 235 around the moving contact 200 from a second side 203b of the moving contact 200, with a current band 250, for a safety switch 100 according to the invention.

[0070] The moving contact 200 again has a thickening 207 with a shoulder 206 and a thinner area 208.

[0071] On the second side 203b of the moving contact 200, a first second fixed contact 225 and a second second fixed contact 225' are arranged in a second fixed contact arrangement 224, and a first third fixed contact 235 of the third fixed contact arrangement 234 are arranged. The open state of the safety switch 100 is shown. In the preferred embodiment shown, the second fixed contact arrangement 224 and the first third fixed contact 235 are spaced further apart than the first second fixed contact 225 and the second second fixed contact 225'. This greater spacing between the second fixed contact arrangement 224 and the third fixed contact arrangement 234 results in improved electrical insulation of different phases while simultaneously maintaining the compactness of the safety switch 100.
