Abstract
Description
A pump dispenser bottle for a fluid composition after modification of its physical state, and application to a contents comprising a continuous fluid phase and at least one discontinuous phase with solid elements – at least their outer layer – dispersed in the fluid phase and intended to be broken down. TECHNICAL FIELD [1] The invention relates to the field of manually operated pump dispenser bottles for dispensing a fluid composition after a change in its physical state. It can be applied to a content comprising a continuous fluid phase and at least one discontinuous phase of material with solid elements - at least for their shell - dispersed in the continuous fluid phase and which must be broken up before dispensing, as in cosmetics, food, pharmaceuticals, medical, utility or technical or similar products. GENERAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE EXPERT AND STATE OF THE ART [2] Manually operated, personal-use pump dispenser bottles for dispensing a fluid composition are commonly known and are typically, but not exclusively, used in cosmetics, medicine, or similar applications (given their bottle retention and dispensing characteristics). Such a dispenser bottle essentially comprises, assembled together: (i) a container having a storage cavity and an opening; (ii) a dip tube forming a passageway, having a lower upstream opening located in the container and a upper downstream opening; and (iii) a pump which, when not actuated, seals the container and, when actuated, pumps and dispenses the contents of the container. The pump itself typically comprises a mounting arrangement for attaching to the container around its opening, an external manual control that can be moved between two extreme positions (rest and pumping / dispensing), a dispensing channel that can be connected upstream to the dip tube's passage and opening downstream through a dispensing orifice, a pump motor with an elastic pumping element, a dose cavity whose volume increases during filling and decreases during emptying in operation, and means for opening / closing the dispensing channel. Such a dispenser bottle can include elements equivalent to the container, dip tube, and pump. It is also known that such a dispenser bottle, its component parts, and their arrangements can be implemented in numerous ways (e.g., US 5351863, WO 9508400). [3] DE 202014003722U describes cosmetic preparations of the type comprising an aqueous-based gel-type fluid outer phase and an internal solid particulate phase comprising spherical particles. A suitable dispenser container comprises a non-recirculating dispensing head, a flexible cylindrical hollow body with a bellows-like wall, open at both ends. Means are provided for separating the contents into partial streams. The shear forces at the dispenser outlet are sufficient to transform the originally separate gel and internal particulate phases into a unit that is purported to be optically homogeneous, but is only very slightly so. [4] FR 3069423 describes a device for dispensing cosmetic or skincare contents stored in heterogeneous form, containing suspended solids that can be mechanically broken to release the fluid they contain. This device aims to overcome the risk of blockage in a pump drawing in contents containing suspended solids. It proposes a mechanism with a fixed piston and rotating body comprising: a product storage reservoir, a product dispensing nozzle, a product transport guide conduit between the reservoir and the dispensing nozzle, and means for circulating the product from the reservoir to the nozzle via the guide conduit. The guide conduit includes a device for breaking up the solids, which comprises a first stage at the reservoir outlet, forming a first portion of the guide conduit and having a progressively oriented cross-section with protruding edges at the outlet inside the guide conduit. second stage, near the distribution nozzle, forming a second portion of the guide conduit and exhibiting a progressive section restriction. [5] EP 2749502 describes dispensers whose variable-volume reservoir contains a contents comprising a first substance (first fluid phase) and beads immersed in the first substance, each bead having a casing containing a second substance. Such a dispenser further comprises a dispensing conduit and a flow restrictor disposed within the dispensing conduit having a plurality of openings and a plurality of prongs extending into each of the openings. These prongs rupture the casings of the beads as the composition flows through the openings. The presence of a dispensing pump is mentioned, but not described. [6] FR 2973356 describes a device for distributing a mixture formed from a first product brought into contact with a second product, comprising a container delimiting an internal space for receiving the first product, a distribution mechanism mounted on the container, and a module disposed in the internal space in contact with the first product, comprising a hollow body delimiting a main channel for the circulation of the first product and having an upstream opening intended to be introduced into a volume of first product and a downstream opening intended to be connected to a distribution mechanism for the first product, the body comprising a mixer disposed in the main channel, the body defining at least one reservoir containing the second product, and at least one auxiliary channel opening into the main channel at a branch point,The main channel is clear along its entire length between the upstream opening for the introduction of the first product and the tapping point, the downstream opening of the main channel is connected to the distribution mechanism, and the upstream opening leads into the internal space. [7] EP 1 579 924 relates to a product packaging and dispensing assembly comprising a container for holding a reserve of product, a refillable unit arranged to be removably placed on the container, the refillable unit having a storage chamber for holding product and capable of being made fluidically connected to the container for filling when the refillable unit is placed on the container, and a pump capable of withdrawing product from the container when the refillable unit is placed on it and of withdrawing product from the storage chamber when the refillable unit is separated from the container, the pump having a pumping chamber separate from the storage chamber. This packaging assembly has a syringe-like suction mechanism for filling the chamber of the refillable unit. This packaging assembly requires a low viscosity content, i.e., a liquid. [8] CN 103 416 947 relates to a vacuum negative pressure vessel pump stirring core structure comprising a vessel, a pump body and a valve, intended for several materials to be stirred and mixed uniformly via a static element during use. [9] JP 2002 192005 aims to solve the problem of discharging a two-phase solid-liquid type content in a state where the solid materials are uniformly dispersed from a container into which the content is loaded. For this purpose, fluidic forcing is provided.
[0010] KR 1998 0058476 relates to a pressurized cosmetic dispenser for the distribution of a certain quantity of cosmetics by pressurization, and in particular, a pressurized cosmetic dispenser for the distribution of gel-type cosmetics containing small grains of soft capsules.
[0001] FR 2 732 031 relates to the application of copolymers comprising at least two monomeric units, the first of which is composed of one or more anionically charged ethylenic monomers, the second of which is composed of one or more cationically charged ethylenic monomers, at least one of which has a surfactant structure, and optionally comprising a third unit which is composed of one or more non-ionic ethylenic monomers, as an amphoteric agent modifying the rheology of lamellar phases in aqueous solution. These copolymers can be applied as rheology modifiers of lamellar phases for thickening or thinning detergent or cosmetic compositions, whether liquid or paste-like.
[0012] FR 2 973 664 states that a mascara formula has a viscosity that naturally increases over time; from fluid at the time of its production, it becomes thick after a few days or weeks. In the case of emulsion or gel formulas, viscosity properties can vary due to the application of shear stresses to the fluid. This variation in viscosity, or rheology, can be advantageous for improving the formula's effectiveness.

[0016] "Pump" and "pump motor" should be understood to refer to a dispensing device and its operating means, as is well known to those skilled in the art and is commonly used for cosmetic or similar compositions (with regard to dispensing), such as the pumps known as "cosmetic pumps." "Pump dispenser bottle" refers to an article suitable and intended to contain a certain quantity of contents and to dispense a product by pumping and discharge, through appropriate manual action on a control element such as a push button within the pump. "For personal use" refers to the fact that the dispenser bottle is used by a person who is the user. Such a dispenser bottle for personal use is a solid, self-supporting, self-operating object, which can be handled by the user, forming a single unit and fulfilling its purpose, in this case, containing and dispensing by pumping.
[0017] "Contents" refers to the material contained within the storage cavity of the pump dispenser bottle. This material is called "contents material." "Composition" refers to the material dispensed from the pump's dispensing port of the pump dispenser bottle, and which originates from the contents. This material is called "dispensing material." "Fluid," when referring to the composition, should be understood in its common meaning as a substance ranging in consistency from liquid to paste, capable of being dispensed by a pump dispenser bottle and used by the user, for example, applied to the body.
[0018] “Fluid phase”, in relation to the content, refers to a substance having a state ranging from liquid to pasty. "Discontinuous phase," in relation to the content, refers to a material with solid elements, at least in their outer shell, which are dispersed in the continuous fluid phase and must be broken up before distribution. By "solid element," we mean an element that is sufficiently hard at room temperature so that, in the absence of external mechanical action, its shape and integrity are substantially preserved. The term "break up"—and its derivatives such as "broken"—should be understood as reflecting an operation—or a situation—of the same general nature as fragmenting, breaking, separating, shearing, grinding, cutting, dividing, dislocating, etc., and taking the form of beads, particles, filaments, blocks, pieces, capsules, which may be homogeneous or not, for example, having an outer shell or membrane of a certain consistency enclosing a filling. Such The elements may have a larger dimension, ranging from a fraction of a millimeter to several millimeters. In all cases, and within the scope of the invention, the continuous fluid phase and the discontinuous phase must be at least thoroughly mixed before distribution and use by the user, so that the distributed composition is, as a whole, of a fluid consistency. In addition to mixing, the elements of the discontinuous phase may need to be broken down, particularly beforehand. The physical state of the material in the contents of the container's storage cavity must therefore be modified (such as being fragmented, mixed, agitated, or rheologically altered) to form the distributed composition. Between the physical state of the contents and the physical state of the distribution material, the physical state of the material is said to be "intermediate," and the material is referred to as "material in an intermediate state."
[0019] "Cosmetics" should be understood in its common usage as relating to the care, protection, maintenance of healthy skin, beautification, etc. For example, it includes hydration, relaxation, treatment for wrinkles and skin aging, and more broadly any other similar, related, or complementary skin treatment. It may also include perfuming. In the context of the invention, a use similar to a cosmetic use is considered to be any other use involving the same type of characteristics or technical constraints with regard to storage in a container and dispensing by means of a pump, such as, in particular, a food product, a pharmaceutical product, a medical product, a utility product (e.g., a cleaning product), or a technical product (e.g., a coating product). [0091] In the figures, the different constituent parts of the pump dispenser bottle are not necessarily represented at the same scale, in order to be more easily readable. DESCRIPTION OF SPECIFIC IMPLEMENTATION METHODS
[0092] Several specific embodiments of the pump dispenser bottle 1 according to the invention are described below. Several specific embodiments of the constituent parts of such a pump dispenser bottle 1 are also described, including a dip tube device and means for modifying the physical state of matter. These descriptions are made with reference to the drawings in the figures. The invention relates both to the pump dispenser bottle 1 in the specific embodiments described and illustrated, and to the pump dispenser bottle 1 comprising other combinations of the constituent parts in the various specific embodiments described and illustrated. The invention relates both to the pump dispenser bottle 1 in its assembled configuration, both in the state in which it is empty of contents C and in the state in which it is filled with contents C.The invention also relates to the pump dispenser bottle 1 in its disassembled configuration – in particular the container 2 it comprises being disassembled from the pumping and dispensing pump 3 it comprises (or, by ellipsis, “pump”) – or in any partially disassembled and partially assembled configuration. The invention relates to a device with a dip tube and a means for changing state. Physics of matter. The invention also relates to a method for implementing a pump dispenser bottle 1. Content C is the material contained in the storage cavity 4 of the container 2, while the composition is the material dispensed by the pump 3 from this content. The description refers to a content C comprising a continuous fluid phase <t>FC and at least one discontinuous phase <t>D. Indeed, the pump dispenser bottle 1 is suitable for such a content C (having the phases <t>FC and <t>D), while distributing a composition that is fluid. “Discontinuous phase” <t>D, in relation to the content, refers to a material with solid elements, at least in their outer shell, which elements are dispersed in the continuous fluid phase <t>FC and must be broken before distribution. By "solid element," we mean an element that is sufficiently hard at room temperature so that, in the absence of external mechanical action, its shape and integrity are substantially preserved. The term "break"—and its derivatives such as "broken"—should be understood as reflecting an operation—or a situation—of the same general nature as fragmenting, breaking, separating, shearing, grinding, cutting, dividing, dislocating, etc., and taking the form of beads, particles, filaments, blocks, pieces, capsules, which may be homogeneous or non-homogeneous, for example, having an envelope or membrane of a certain consistency enclosing a filling. Such elements may have a larger dimension on the order of a fraction of a millimeter to several millimeters.
[0093] The physical state of the matter containing content C must therefore be modified (such as fragmentation, mixing, agitation, or rheological modification) to form the distributed composition. Between the physical state of the matter containing content C and the physical state of the distributed matter, the physical state of the matter is said to be "intermediate," and the matter is referred to as "matter in an intermediate state."
[0094] The terms used must be understood and interpreted in the light of the field of the invention, the general knowledge of a person skilled in the art, and the state of the art, as presented above.
[0095] In the description and claims, the expression "suitable for," when applied to a means, should be understood as meaning that the means possesses the qualities that are correct, necessary, or appropriate for something, particularly as understood by a person skilled in the art. The term "essentially" when used with a qualifier should be understood as meaning as close as or similar to the meaning of the qualifier in question, or modified in a way that would be considered typical and reasonable by a person skilled in the art (e.g., manufacturing tolerances, etc.). The term "substantial" or "substantially" should be understood as meaning principal, essential, significant, or important. The terms "typical" and "typically," in relation to a particular realization of a means, should be understood as meaning that this realization constitutes a particularly characteristic example of such a means, without, however, generally excluding other possibilities. The term "significantly" reflects the notion of much or strongly and should be understood as meaning appreciably, significantly, substantially, noticeably, clearly, or perceptibly. The term "almost" should be understood as meaning almost exactly.
[0096] In the description and claims, "axial" refers to anything essentially arranged along the axis A of the pump dispenser bottle 1 or its component parts, or parallel to it. "Transverse" refers to anything essentially arranged perpendicular to the axis A, whether or not it passes through it. "Peripheral" refers to anything arranged around the circumference of the axis A. "Lateral" refers to what is next to axis A. "Internal" refers to what is closest to axis A or turned towards it, while "external" refers to what is furthest from axis A or turned away from it. "Inside" refers to what is placed inside the assembled pump dispenser bottle 1, whereas "outside" refers to what is placed outside, in the external atmosphere.
[0097] In the description and claims, relative terms concerning position, such as "top" (i.e., located at or towards the upper part), "bottom" (i.e., located at or towards the lower part), etc., as well as their Derivatives or similar terms such as "upper," "lower," "above," "above," "below," "below," and the term "base" should be interpreted as referring to the orientation of the pump dispenser bottle 1 or its component parts, as described with reference to the drawings in the figures. This orientation is that in which the axis A is vertical, the pump 3 is above the container 2, which rests on its base 5. This orientation is typically that of a pump dispenser bottle 1 on a shelf (for storage, sale, or between uses). These relative terms are intended solely for convenience of description and are not limiting; the pump dispenser bottle 1 can be in any orientation.
[0098] In the description and claims, relative terms concerning a position such as "upstream", "Downstream" should be understood in reference to the normal direction of movement of the content material, the intermediate state material, and the distribution material. The terms "before" and "after" should be interpreted in the same way.
[0099] In the description and claims, the term "associated" used in relation to several means should be understood generally as meaning that these means are combined structurally and / or functionally for a certain result. The expression "associated with a fixed connection" used in relation to two means should be understood as meaning that these two means are joined such that the movement, or the stopping, of one is the cause, or the concomitant consequence, of the movement, or the stopping, of the other, the nature (e.g., translation, rotation) and the amplitude of the movements being identical from beginning to end.Means associated with a fixed connection are rigidly joined to one another either directly, in one way or another (including, for example, the case of an end coil of a spring—this coil being considered either complete or incomplete, such as a section of a coil—being one of the means, supported by a part being the other of the means, so that this end coil and this part are thus joined by a fixed connection, notwithstanding, moreover, the deformation of the spring) or indirectly by means of a rigid intermediate part attached to both means. Consequently, the expression "rigid intermediate part" must be understood as designating a simple, multiple, or composite part, capable, on the one hand, of being attached to two distant means and, on the other hand, of transmitting an identical and simultaneous motion from one to the other of the two means. For example, in the case of axial translational movement, a "rigid intermediate part" can be, but not limited to, a rod, a cylinder, or a portion of material.
[0100] In the description and claims, the term "conjugate," used in relation to two wall faces, should be understood as meaning that, relative to each other, these faces are arranged—or capable of being arranged—opposite—or essentially opposite—each other, and in contact or nearly in contact, for a given effect resulting from this relative arrangement. The mutually contacting sliding faces of two walls that can move relative to each other can also be described as conjugate, and more specifically as sliding conjugates. In the description and claims, the term "portion" should be understood as designating a particular piece of material constituting a particular part of the dispensing bottle 1, or a specific portion of a part of the dispensing bottle 1, or a specific element of the dispensing bottle 1.
[0101] In the description and claims, an elastic means is, for example, but not limited to, a spring. The expression "elastic means" should therefore be understood as designating such a spring or a means of a different nature performing the same function with a view to an identical or similar result.
[0102] In the description and claims, the expression "axial passage opening" should be understood to mean that the orientation of this opening allows passage through it in an axial direction. Such an axial passage opening may, where appropriate, be further described as transverse to indicate that it extends transversely.
[0103] In the description and claims, when it is stated that a part, portion, or face is arranged or mounted for axial sliding, it must be understood that this sliding can be in either direction, bottom to top or top to bottom.
[0104] In the description and claims, the term "end" should be understood to mean, both and equally, extreme part, end edge, unless otherwise specified or understood.
[0105] The container 2, rigid, non-deformable and self-supporting, has a peripheral side wall 6, essentially cylindrical, with an inner side face 6a and an outer face, the bottom 5, lower and transverse, with an inner face 5a and an outer support face 5b, and an upper and transverse opening 7, defining and limiting the upper edge 7a of the container 2. The distance between the inner face 5a of the bottom 5 and the opening 7 defines the internal depth of the container 2. Typically, the container 2 and its side wall 6 have a lower main part 8a and an upper part 8b, which may be of smaller diameter and form a neck 8b at the upper end of which the opening 7 is provided. Depending on the embodiment and the requirements, the lower main part 8a and the upper part 8b form either a single monobloc piece (fig.1-3) or two parts assembled and fixedly joined to each other by their corresponding openings via a rigid connection. This design allows – before the two parts of container 2 are assembled – the insertion of a compensating piston 49 (Fig. 24-27) into the lower main section 8a. The cavity 4, formed inside container 2 in the lower section 8a, is suitable for receiving the material containing content C and thus storing it before distribution. Depending on the embodiment, container 2 is made of plastic or glass, subject to the required tolerances. For example, container 2 can have an axial height of approximately 50 mm to 250 mm and an external diameter of approximately 40 mm to 120 mm. Container 2 can hold from approximately 10 ml (in the case of a sampler or tester) to 1000 ml of content C.Container 2 can be made in other ways provided that they perform the functions of supporting the constituent means of the pump dispenser bottle 1 and of containing the content material C, the distribution material and the intermediate state material.
[0106] The pump 3 has a rigid mounting arrangement 9a on the container 2, around its opening 7, cooperating with a complementary arrangement 9b on the container 2, the two arrangements 9a and 9b being capable of cooperating. When it is desired that the mounting of the pump 3 on the container 2 be fixed to prevent any possibility of opening, these arrangements 9a and 9b can be of the snap-fit or locking type. When, on the other hand, it is desired that the mounting of the pump 3 on the container 2 be removable, these arrangements 9a and 9b can typically be threads, such as an external thread 9b for the container 2 and an internal thread 9a located on a lower part of a first inner sleeve 10a of a mounting ring 10 of the pump 3 (Fig. 9).This ring 10, hollow and open throughout, further comprises a second outer peripheral lateral sleeve 10b of larger diameter, and a central transverse wall 10c with a central mounting hole 10d. With this embodiment, the ring 10 provides support for the other means and parts of the pump 3, and, via an upper portion of the inner sleeve 10a, axial sliding guidance for its control member 11. Moreover, the central transverse wall 10c is axially offset from the upper edge 7a of the container 2.
[0107] The pump 3 itself can typically be of the type known as a "cosmetic pump," even if the contents C and the dispensed composition may differ from those of a cosmetic product. Typically, the pump 3, supported by the retaining ring 10, includes a manual control element 11, external at least partially so that it can be operated by the user, which can be moved between two extreme positions: a resting, upper position (Fig. 1, 4, 24), and a pumping and dispensing position (Fig. 3, 8). In the embodiments shown in the drawings, the control element 11 is a push-button, with an adjacent, essentially cylindrical push-button base 12 extending downwards and mounted axially in the first inner sleeve 10a, towards its upper portion. above the median transverse wall 10c. Thus, the control member 11 protrudes above the ring 10. The pump 3 then includes a distribution channel 13 - that is to say a passage allowing the transfer of the composition material for the purpose of its distribution -, passing in particular through the control member 11 and its pusher base 12 by forming a channel, and opening downstream into the atmosphere through a distribution orifice 13a. The pump 3 then includes what is typically called a "pump motor" 14. Such a pump motor 14 typically includes an elastic pumping means 15, axially deformable for axial operating movement over a pump motor stroke, a pump body 16 which allows a dose cavity 16a to be defined, the volume of which is increased and decreased successively during operation and suction and discharge, and means 17 for opening / closing the distribution path 13, such as valves 17.As an example, the dispenser bottle 1 can have an overall axial height - including the container 2 and the pump 3 - of the order of 60 mm to 390 mm.
[0108] Such a pump 3, in itself, as well as the means, components, and parts that comprise it, can be implemented in numerous ways, with regard to certain characteristics or constituent means, in a number of known or readily amenable to those skilled in the art. Thus, by way of non-limiting examples, the control element 11 can be a push button, located at the top, actuated by axial downward deflection and then released upward (as in the embodiments shown in the drawings), or a pivotally mounted trigger. The actuation of the control element 11 should be understood as a complete cycle of pressing and releasing. The elastic pumping means 15 can be a helical spring, such as a straight helical spring (as in the embodiments shown in the drawings), or a deformable housing. In the embodiments shown in the drawings, the elastic pumping means 15 is separated from the pump's distribution channel 13 and thus does not come into contact with the dispensing material (nor with the material containing C or the material in an intermediate state), with the inherent advantages. The dispensing orifice 13a can be lateral with a transverse axis (as in the embodiments shown in the drawings), or axial. It may or may not be provided with a nozzle for shaping the flow of the dispensed material. The valves of the opening / closing means 17 can be, for example, of the nipple type cooperating with a perforated seat, or of the closable orifice type, or of the perforated membrane type deformable between an open and a closed state, or of another type. These different embodiments are neither limiting nor exclusive of others.
[0109] In the embodiments shown in the drawings, which are neither limiting nor exclusive of others, the pump body 16 comprises a receptacle piece 18 (Figs. 10, 24, 25), with a peripheral side wall 18a, a lower seat 18b, with a transverse opening 18ba, with axial passage, to which an opening / closing valve 17 is associated, and a high transverse opening 18d, with axial passage. By design, the receptacle piece 28 is associated upwards, around its opening 18d, by a fixed connection, such as an axial fitting, to an annular space 19a, projecting upwards and open downwards, of a ferrule 19 (Fig. 10), hollow and open throughout. The ferrule 19 comprises an internal peripheral lateral wall 19b extending axially downwards from the annular space 19a and forming the internal boundary of the annular space 19a, an external peripheral lateral wall 19e that is axially short and forms the external boundary of the annular space 19a, an internal transverse portion 19c, and an external transverse portion 19d, which are essentially coplanar. The internal transverse portion 19c is adjacent to the internal lateral wall 19b and formed by a radial offset from it. The external transverse portion 19d is adjacent to the external lateral wall 19e and directed outwards. Referring more specifically to Figs. 4, 6, 8, 24, and 25, the internal transverse portion 19c—by its upper face—serves as the lower seat for the lower end of the elastic pumping element 15, as does its lower coil. The external transverse portion 19d acts as a limit stop for axial sliding movement. For this purpose, on the one hand, the external transverse portion 19d can cooperate in an upward locking manner with the transverse wall 10c of the ring 10 – via its lower face. And, on the other hand, the external transverse portion 19d can cooperate in a downward locking manner with the upper edge 7a of the container 2, either directly or indirectly. The free space between the transverse wall 10c of the ring 10 and the upper edge 7a of the container 2 allows the pump body 16, para. via the ferrule 19, to be moved axially upwards and downwards relative to the container 2 and the ring 10. The axial distance between the transverse wall 10c of the ring 10 and the upper edge 7a of the container 2 defines the stroke of this axial sliding. In the upper position of the ferrule 19, its annular space 19d passes through the central orifice 10d of the ring 10.
[0110] A hollow tubular support and sealing portion 20 (fig.11) is provided, forming a unit assembly with the pump body 16, comprising the pump body 16 at the top and the tubular support and sealing portion 20 at the bottom. In the drawing embodiments, the tubular support and sealing portion 20 is a separate part from the pump body 16 itself but associated with it below, at the bottom with a fixed connection, in particular by fixed cooperation, such as an axial fitting, of the upper end 20a of the tubular support and sealing portion 20 and a hollow and lower end 18c of the receptacle piece 18 of the pump body 16 (fig.10). This embodiment is not exclusive of another, in which the tubular support and sealing portion 20 is a lower end portion of the pump body 16 which together with its upper portion including in particular the receptacle piece 18 forms a single piece.Portion 20 is described as "tubular" because, like a tube, its general shape is cylindrical and hollow, with an opening 20a at one end. The portion 20 is described as "support" and "sealing" because, on the one hand, it provides support for the internal part 39 (and what is attached to it by a fixed connection) and, on the other hand, it provides a sealing function with a dip tube 26. The tubular support and sealing portion 20 is also carried by the pump body 16 and, like the pump body 16, it is mounted axially within the dip tube 26. The tubular support and sealing portion 20 (fig. 11) has an open upper end 20a, which serves, on the one hand, as a mounting for the nozzle 18c of the receptacle part 18 - when such a mounting is provided - and, on the other hand, as an axial passage opening for the dispensing material. The tubular support and sealing portion 20 also includes a hollow peripheral side wall 20b, with a lower end 20c and a transverse closing wall 20ca, located at an appropriate position to prevent the material to be dispensed from flowing downwards, for example, located towards the lower end 20c (Fig. 11), or located slightly upwards from the lower end 20c (Figs. 24, 25). From this perspective, the tubular support and sealing portion 20 is blind, while still having a transverse opening 41.
[0111] In the embodiments shown in the drawings, which are neither limiting nor exclusive of others, a functional assembly comprising a piston rod 21 and a piston 23 is also provided (Fig. 11). The piston rod 21 comprises a lower portion 22a, which is enlarged and has a larger diameter, and an upper portion 22b, which is smaller in diameter and axially extended. The piston rod 21 is supported by a fixed connection to the pusher base 13. In the embodiments shown in the drawings, a rigid intermediate piece, such as a tube 22c, is provided, extended axially, and is connected to the upper portion by a fixed connection, such as an axial fitting. 22b, and, on the other hand, is associated by a fixed connection, such as an axial fit, from below, in the channel of the distribution path 13 in the pushrod base 12, at its lower part, so as to be slidably driven by the pushrod base 12 and the control member 11, rigidly joined to each other. The piston 23 is mounted on and around the upper part 22b in the vicinity of the lower part 22a. The piston 23 has two pairs of sealing lips, namely two internal lips, respectively upper and directed upwards and lower and directed downwards, in sealing contact with the upper part 22b of the piston rod 21, and two external lips, respectively upper and directed upwards and lower and directed downwards, in sealing contact with the inner face of the peripheral side wall 18a.The lower internal sealing lip can cooperate in downward axial locking with the junction between the lower part 22a and the upper part 22b of the piston rod 21. The upper internal sealing lip can cooperate in upward axial locking with the lower edge of the tube 22c, provided that—in the rest position of the pump control member 11—there is an axial gap that is compensated when the pump control member 11 is depressed. The lower external sealing lip can cooperate in downward sliding contact with the inner face of the wall. peripheral lateral 18a. The upper external sealing lip can cooperate in an upward axial locking motion with the lower edge of the inner peripheral lateral wall 19b of the ferrule 19. The piston 23 - piston rod 21 assembly is further arranged for axial sliding within the pump body 16, namely its receptacle 18. The dose cavity 16a is bounded, at the top by the piston 23 and the piston rod 21, at the bottom by the lower seat 18b of the receptacle 18, and laterally by the inner face of the portion of the peripheral lateral wall 18a situated between them. A transverse orifice 24, with transverse passage, is provided in the piston rod 21 at the bottom of its upper portion 22b, near the lower portion 22a.It communicates with an axial channel forming part of the distribution channel 13, formed in the piston rod 22, and it allows the dose cavity 16a to be connected, via the distribution channel 13, to the distribution orifice 13a. This orifice 24 can be closed or open depending on the relative position of the piston 22, and it forms part of an upper valve of the means 17 for opening / closing the distribution channel 13. As a result of axial sliding upwards or downwards, the volume of the dose cavity 16a is increased and decreased during operation, with the orifice 2' being open during suction and discharge. A transverse collar 25 in the upper part of the piston rod 22 or the rigid tubular intermediate piece 22a, or adjacent to the base of the pusher 13, acts as an upper seat for the upper end of the elastic pumping means 15.The elastic pumping means 15 is thus interposed between, downwards, the transverse wall 10c of the ring 10 and, upwards, the transverse flange 25, and therefore the base of the pusher 12 and the control member 11, thus forcing the latter towards its rest position and being able to be compressed when the control member 11 is depressed. The pump 3 can be implemented in other ways provided that they perform the function of suctioning the material containing C and discharging the material distributing the composition.
[0112] Depending on the embodiment, the pump 3 itself is either of the air-recirculating type, as shown in the drawings, or of the airless type (commonly known as "airless"), the latter embodiment not being shown in the drawings. With an air-recirculating pump 3, as in the drawing embodiments, the principle, known per se, is the provision of vents or air passages to the outside atmosphere, associated with parts of the pump 3 that move relative to each other during operation, so as to allow communication between the storage cavity 4 of the container 2, in which the contents C are located, and the outside atmosphere each time a dose of the dispensing material has been dispensed, thus ensuring a corresponding intake of air into the storage cavity 4 of the container 2 when the contents are drawn. Such a vent or air passage 3a is shown between the two outer lips of the piston 23, in Fig. 11.With a pump 3 without air intake, the principle, known in itself, is to provide that the container 2 is equipped with a compensating piston mounted to slide axially, which, during use, moves so as to allow the storage cavity 4 of the container 2 where the content C is located to have its volume reduced each time a dose of composition has been distributed.
[0113] Referring to Figs. 3, 8, 18, 24, 35, and 36, the pump dispenser bottle 1 also includes a straight, axially extended dip tube 26 suitable for guiding and sliding within the pump body 16, the tubular support and sealing portion 20, and the internal part 39. The dip tube 26 substantially comprises a cylindrical wall 26a having an external face 26aa and an internal face 26ab, which laterally and peripherally defines the interior of the dip tube 26. The dip tube 26, together with the pump body 16, the tubular support and sealing portion 20, and the internal part 39 mounted within it, forms a rigid unit. For example, the dip tube 26 is rigid, or at least not appreciably deformable, when the pump dispenser bottle 1 is in operation. In one embodiment, the dip tube 26 has an axial length corresponding to the internal depth of the container 2.In this case, which is neither limiting nor exclusive of others, the dip tube 26 is inserted and penetrates entirely into the container 2, downwards to the vicinity of the inner face 5a of its bottom 5, with a lower end 28 and a lower opening 28a being adjacent, without obstruction, to the inner face 5a of the bottom 5. The dip tube 26 first acts as a passageway for matter 27 for matter coming from the content matter C (such as matter in an intermediate state), into the. upstream-downstream direction, suitable for allowing the passage of contents C in the upstream-downstream direction from the storage cavity 4 to the material passage 27 of the dip tube 26. It is necessary that the lower opening 28a of the dip tube 26 be close, and in particular as close as possible, to the inner face 5a of the bottom 5 of the container 2, without risking being obscured by it, which would prevent the passage of contents C. The dip tube 26 also has, towards the upper end 29 of its cylindrical wall 26a, a transverse upper opening 29a, with axial passage. The distribution channel 13 of the pump 3 is fluidically associated upstream, i.e. downwards, with the material passage channel 27 of the plunger tube 26. The diameter in the plunger tube 26, i.e. the diameter of its inner face 26ab is suitable for housing the internal part 39 inside the plunger tube 26, which is axially extended. For this purpose, the internal diameter of the dip tube 26 is larger than the typical diameter of dip tubes in the prior art, which are not designed or intended to accommodate and allow the movement of such an internal component. For example, dip tubes in the prior art typically have an internal diameter of approximately 1 mm to 4 mm, while the internal diameter of the dip tube 26 of the pump dispenser bottle 1 can be approximately 10 mm, i.e., approximately 2.5 to 10 times larger, except in its lower upstream section where there is a restriction of 1 mm to 4 mm.
[0114] Towards its upper opening 29a, the dip tube 26 is associated with a fixed and watertight connection 30 to the container 2 towards its opening 7, so that the container 2 carries the dip tube 26. For this purpose, a fixed and watertight connection is provided between a transverse, annular collar 30a, projecting radially outwards, which comprises the dip tube 26 around its upper opening 29a (fig.4, 6, 8, 18, 24, 25, 35, 36) and a transverse peripheral rim 30b (like an end edge - fig.4, 6, 8, 18 - or a transverse, annular collar, projecting radially inwards - fig.24, 25, 35, 36) which comprises the container 2, with the interposition of a sealing gasket if necessary. With this arrangement, the dip tube 26 is not fixed to the pump body 16, and it is separate from the pump 3, without forming with it a unitary assembly presented as such, as is typically known from the prior art.Furthermore, the dip tube 26 comprises not only a lower section 26b for the passage of material from the content material C (such as the intermediate state material), extending downwards, but also an upper section 26c, extending upwards for guiding and sliding the pump body 16 and the associated tubular support and sealing portion 20 within it. The axial lengths of the lower section 26b and the upper section 26c can be in a ratio ranging from 2:1 to 1:2. The dip tube 26 can be constructed in other ways provided they perform the various functions described above, as the dip tube 26 is multifunctional. Thus, the dip tube 26 can be a single piece or comprise several end-to-end sections.
[0115] In another embodiment, shown in the drawings, but which is neither limiting nor exclusive of others, the dip tube has an axial length almost corresponding to, but slightly less than, the internal depth of the container 2, with its lower end 28 and its lower opening 28a only slightly offset from the inner face 5a of the bottom 5. The dip tube 26 is then extended downwards at its lower end 28 by a strainer piece 31 – so named because of its shape – (Fig. 1-3, 5, 7, 20-23, 24, 25). The strainer piece 31 is hollow and essentially cylindrical in shape. The strainer piece 31 has a high terminal portion 31a that connects with the lower end 28 of the dip tube 26, so that the dip tube 26 and the strainer piece 31 form a coherent, stable unit. The upper terminal part 31 a has an upper axially connected opening fluidically associated with the lower axially directed opening 28b of the plunger tube 26.The strainer piece 31 has, on the other hand, a lower end portion 31b having a lower edge 31c adjacent to, in contact with, or applied to the bottom 5 of the container 2. The lower end portion 31ba has at least one notch 32 on its lower edge 31c, forming, with the bottom 5 of the container 2, at least one lateral opening 32a, with transverse passage, for the downstream passage of the material containing C. This arrangement ensures that the opening 32a is not obstructed, in particular, by the bottom 5 of the container 2. According to one embodiment, for example, in the case where the... If the dimensions of container 2 are precise, typically with a plastic container 2, the upper end portion 31a of the strainer piece 31 is connected to the lower end 28 of the dip tube 26 by a fixed connection such as an axial fitting. In another embodiment, for example, if the dimensions of container 2 are not as precise, typically with a glass container 2, the upper end portion 31a of the strainer piece 31 is connected to the lower end 28 of the dip tube 26 by a connection allowing some axial sliding, so that the lower edge 31c of the strainer piece 31 is ensured to be in contact with the inner face 5a of the bottom 5 of container 2, even though the dimensions of the latter may vary somewhat.By providing a strainer 31 with the characteristics described above, it is ensured that all the contents C of the storage cavity 4 can be drawn out, including those at the bottom 5 of the nearly empty container 2. The strainer 31, when provided, can be made in other ways provided that they perform the functions of drawing out the contents C at the bottom 5 of the container 2 and holding the lower end 28 of the dip tube 26 in position.
[0116] In another embodiment, not shown, different from the two previously described, the dip tube 26 has a substantially smaller axial length (for example, ranging from due to %) than the internal depth of the container 2. The lower end 28 and the lower opening 28a are then axially separated from the inner face 5a of the bottom 5. The dip tube 26 is then provided with a tubular extension downwards, having a lower end with a lower opening adjacent, without occlusion, to the inner face 5a of the bottom 5. The dip tube 26 comprises, on the one hand, an upper part, typically rigid, in which the entire internal part 39 is located, the axial length of which is adapted to that of the upper part and, on the other hand, a lower part empty of any part such as the internal part. This lower part can be comparable to a classic dip tube, for example be deformable, so as to bend against the inner face 5a of the bottom 5. Its lower end with its lower opening are adjacent, without occlusion, to the inner face (5a) of the bottom (5).
[0117] The pump body 16, with its associated tubular support and sealing portion 20, is mounted for axial sliding and sealing within the plunger tube 26, in response to the movement of the control member 11. This is made possible by the existence of the free space between the transverse wall 10c of the ring 10 and the upper edge 7a of the container 2, the spacing of which defines the stroke of the axial sliding. Thus, the pump body 16, with its tubular support and sealing portion 20, can be moved along this stroke between two positions: one upper – when the external transverse portion 19c of the ferrule 19 associated with the pump body 16 locks in an upward position against the transverse wall 10c of the ring 10 – and the other lower – when the external transverse portion 19c of the ferrule 19 associated with the pump body 16 cooperates in a downward locking motion with the upper edge 7a of the container 2, either directly or indirectly. With the preceding arrangements, the dip tube 26, namely its upper section 26c, acts as an axial sliding guide for the pump body 16 and the associated tubular support and sealing portion 20. And the lower section 26b acts as a passage for the material from the content material C, as well as for the material in an intermediate state. The assembly of the pump body 16, with the associated tubular support and sealing portion 20, with the dip tube 26 can be implemented in other ways provided that they ensure the axial sliding function relative to the other constituent means of the pump 3.
[0118] The pump dispenser bottle 1 further comprises an additional elastic means 33, distinct from the elastic pumping means 15 and which is structurally and functionally added to it, hence the qualifier "additional". This additional elastic means 33 is axially deformable for axial operating movement over a stroke of the additional elastic means, and arranged to force the pump body 16 towards its upper position. With such an additional elastic means 33, separate from the pumping elastic means 15, the movement of the control member 11 from the rest position to the pumping and distribution position causes, on the one hand, the compression of the additional elastic means 33 thanks to the axial sliding mounting of the pump body 16 in the plunger tube 26 between the two upper and lower positions and, on the other hand, the compression of the elastic pumping means 15. The pump can therefore be described as having two stages, corresponding to the stroke of the elastic pumping means 15 and the stroke of the additional elastic means 33.
[0119] In one embodiment (Figs. 1-3, 5, 7), the additional elastic means 33 is located axially away from the pump motor 14 and, in this case, is located near the lower inlet opening 28a of the dip tube, more specifically towards the bottom 5 of the container 2. In another embodiment (Figs. 24, 25), the additional elastic means 33 is located near the pump motor 14 itself. In yet another embodiment (Figs. 1-3, 5, 7), the additional elastic means 33 is located inside the dip tube 26 and is therefore in contact with the material from the content material C, as well as with the intermediate state material. In one embodiment (Fig. 24, 25), the additional elastic means 33 is not located inside the dip tube 26 and is kept away from the pump distribution channel 13, so as not to be in contact with the content material C, such as the intermediate state material, or the distribution material, with the inherent advantages. In one embodiment (Fig.In one embodiment (Figs. 1-3, 5, 7), the additional elastic means 33 is located towards the bottom of the pump dispenser bottle 1 on the side of the bottom 5 of the container 2, and in another embodiment (Figs. 24, 25), the additional elastic means 33 is located rather towards the top of the pump dispenser bottle 1, on the side of the pump 3. In one embodiment (Figs. 1-3, 5, 7, 12-17), the additional elastic means 33 is a straight helical compression spring. In one embodiment (Figs. 24, 25, 29-34), the additional elastic means 33 is a helical compression spring with taper, such as a conical or biconical spring. In other embodiments, the additional elastic means 33 is an element of a different nature than that of a helical spring, but ensuring the same function as a helical spring, and this in the context of the pump dispenser bottle 1 according to the invention. In the drawing implementations, it is provided that the additional elastic means 33 is unique, that is to say, alone. In other embodiments, the additional elastic means 33 is plural and comprises several helical compression springs or elements performing the same function, arranged so as to be axially extended and / or nested one inside the other with radial spacing. According to another embodiment (not shown), two additional elastic means 33 are provided, one located towards the bottom of the pump dispenser bottle 1 on the side of the bottom 5 of the container 2 and the other located rather towards the top of the pump dispenser bottle 1, on the side of the pump 3.It is possible to provide that these two additional elastic means 33 are both helical with taper, or both straight helical, or one (either the downward-facing or the upward-facing one) is helical with taper and the other (either the upward-facing or the downward-facing one) is straight helical. For example, with an additional elastic means 33 being a straight helical compression spring, the axial height of the unstretched spring can be approximately 13.5 mm, 9.6 mm in its pre-compressed state, and 3.6 mm when compressed, which corresponds to a functional stroke of 6 mm. Generally, the various embodiments considered above can, as far as possible, be combined to varying degrees. Furthermore, the additional elastic means 33 can be implemented in other ways provided they perform the same function.
[0120] The additional elastic means 33 is arranged between the dip tube 26 and the pump body 16 to allow their relative axial movement, and it is associated with a fixed connection to the dip tube 26 and the pump body 16, respectively. Since the additional elastic means 33 is deformable as a whole, its fixed connection to the dip tube 26 and the pump body 16 must be understood as a fixed connection of each of its ends to the dip tube 26 and the pump body 16, respectively. In the case where the additional elastic means 33 is a spring, each of its ends is one of its end coils, or a terminal section of one of its end coils. Thus, in the case of a spring, a fixed connection may consist - notwithstanding the overall deformation of the spring - of the support contact of an end coil of the spring (or of a section of an end coil) on the part with which there is a rigid connection, such as in this case the plunger tube 26 or the pump body 16, by means of where appropriate a rigid intermediate part, such as - in particular and where appropriate - and in the case of the pump body 16, the internal part 39 or the ferrule 19. Such a support contact results in the additional elastic means 33 being connected to the plunger tube 26 or the pump body 16, respectively, such that the movement or stopping of the former is the cause or consequence, concomitant with the movement or stopping, of the latter. This support contact can be, as indicated, either direct or indirect by means of a rigid intermediate piece associated with the additional elastic means 33 and / or the plunger tube 26 or the pump body 16. Various embodiments, neither limiting nor excluding others, corresponding to the foregoing, may be envisaged. Embodiments are now described for cases where the additional elastic means 33 is a spring. These embodiments can be transposed and adapted to cases where the additional elastic means 33 is not a spring, but an equivalent component.
[0121] In an embodiment (fig. 1-3, 5, 7) in which the additional elastic means 33 - here a straight spring - is located towards the bottom of the pump dispenser bottle 1, on the bottom side 5, in the dip tube 26, the additional spring 33 and the dip tube 26 are provided with respective first conjugate transverse portions 35a, 35b, such as the lower end coil 35a of the additional spring 33 and a first transverse notch 35b of the dip tube 26 located towards its lower opening 28, just below the additional spring 33. A rigid intermediate piece may be provided associated with one and / or the other of these first conjugate portions 35a, 35b. The first transverse step 35b of the plunger tube 26 can be formed and arranged between the cylindrical wall 26a of the plunger tube 26 and a collar 36 forming part of the plunger tube 26, being its lower end 28.This flange 36 is axial and smaller in diameter than the cylindrical wall 26a. Referring to Fig. 18, the flange 36 is hollow and open throughout, forming the lower opening 28a of the dip tube 26. The flange 36 comprises an upper part 36a and a lower part 36b, respectively positioned above and below the first transverse step 35b. The strainer piece 31, when provided, is associated with the lower part 36b of the flange 36.
[0122] In one embodiment (figs. 24, 25) in which the additional elastic means 33 - here a conical spring with a large coil at the bottom and a small coil at the top - is located rather towards the top of the pump dispenser bottle 1, on the side of the pump 3, outside the plunger tube 26, the additional spring 33 and the plunger tube 26 are provided with other respective first conjugate transverse portions 37a, 37b, such as the large lower end coil 37a of the additional spring 33 and another first transverse step of the plunger tube 26 formed by the upper face of its collar 30a at the upper end 29 around the upper opening 29a, just below the additional spring 33. A rigid intermediate piece may also be provided associated with one and / or the other of the other first conjugate transverse portions 37a, 37b.
[0123] In one embodiment (fig. 1-3, 5, 7) in which the additional elastic means 33 - here a straight spring - is located towards the bottom of the pump dispenser bottle 1 on the bottom side 5, inside the dip tube 26, the additional spring 33 and the pump body 16 are provided with respective second conjugate portions 38a, 38b. This refers, on the one hand, to the upper end coil 38a of the additional spring 33. On the other hand, it refers to a second portion 38b of the pump body 16 formed by the bottom of the lower portion of the peripheral side wall 20b and the lower transverse wall 20c of the tubular support and sealing portion 20, by means of the interposition, as a rigid intermediate piece, of the internal part 39. It is then the lower end 39a, and more specifically a peripheral transverse portion 39aa of it which is in contact with the conjugate portion 38a of the additional spring 33 (upper end coil), being placed just above the additional spring 33.
[0124] In an embodiment (fig. 24, 25) in which the additional elastic means 33 - here a conical spring with a large lower coil and a small upper coil - is located rather towards the top of the pump dispenser bottle 1, on the side of the pump 3, outside the dip tube 26, the additional spring 33 and the pump body 16 are provided with other respective conjugate transverse portions 40a, 40b, such as the small coil upper end 40a of the additional spring 33 and another second portion of the pump body 16 formed by the lower face of the peripheral side wall 19b of the ferrule 19.
[0125] In the case of a straight helical spring 33 (fig. 1-3, 5, 7, 12-17) in the compressed state, the coils of the spring are stacked, the spring thus having an axial height corresponding to the number of coils stacked. In the case of a helical spring with a taper of 33 (Figs. 24, 25), in its compressed state, the spring's coils can be nested within one another, giving the spring an axial height approximately equal to a single coil. This arrangement is well-suited to a spring located towards the top of the pump dispenser bottle 1, on the side of the pump 3. However, as previously mentioned, it is also possible to have such a spring positioned towards the bottom, with either a single-spring or a double-spring configuration.
[0126] The pump dispenser bottle 1 further comprises one (or at least one) mechanical means 34 for modifying the physical state of the material containing C or of the material in an intermediate state (or of a discontinuous phase) <t>D of either one), referred to elliptically as "means of physical state modification", specifically intended to be implemented with a content C comprising a continuous fluid phase <t>FC and one (or at least one) discontinuous phase <t>D. The state-modifying means 34 is deformable and / or movable. If applicable, a plurality of distinct physical state-modifying means 34 is provided. In one case, the means 34 in the plurality have different functionalities, arranged in series, particularly in close proximity or adjacency, along the supply channel 27, in order to ensure several physical state modifications of different kinds. In another case, the means 34 in the plurality have the same functionality, this functionality being ensured in a plurality of stages and steps. The axial sliding assembly of the pump body 16 and the tubular support and sealing portion 20 between the two upper and lower positions contributes to the movement control of the physical state-modifying means 34.The physical state modification means 34 is designed, arranged and disposed so as to be able to come into contact with matter of content C or matter of intermediate state - or of a discontinuous phase. <t>D of one or the other – so as to act on the matter that passes through it or runs alongside it and to which it is adjacent. The physical state modification means 34 is capable of being set in motion relative to this adjacent matter, so as to apply a contact force capable of modifying its physical state. By modifying the physical state, we mean causing fragmentation, mixing, agitation, or a rheological change. The dip tube 26 is therefore multifunctional, serving as a passageway for matter, as a sealed axial sliding guide for the pump body and the associated tubular support and sealing portion 20, and finally, as a means of participating directly and / or indirectly in the function of the physical state modification means 34.
[0127] A physical state modification means 34 is disposed within the dip tube 26, specifically in its lower section 26b, so as to be located either adjacent to, near, or close to its upstream lower opening 28a, extending axially upwards until it is adjacent to, near, or close to, while being axially offset below and upstream of the transverse orifice 41 for the passage of intermediate-state material, provided on the peripheral lateral wall 20b of the tubular support and sealing portion 20, and thus also axially offset upstream of the pump body 16 below. Consequently, the material that enters the dosing cavity 16a and passes through the pump body 16 is the distribution material of the composition that will be distributed through the distribution orifice 13a, after the action of the physical state modification means 34.On the other hand, the physical state modification means 34 is functionally associated with the additional elastic means 33, so that the sliding motion of the additional elastic means 33 causes the sliding motion of the physical state modification means 34.
[0128] The physical state modification means 34 is chosen to ensure an action of crushing, compressing, rolling, shearing, cutting, breaking, grinding, bending, rubbing, attrition, forcing through a calibrated or labyrinthine passage, or an action of the same type on matter of content C or matter in an intermediate state (or a discontinuous phase) <t>D of one or the other). Consequently, a means 34 for modifying the physical state is chosen from the family comprising mechanical action devices of the jaw type capable of being opened and closed on one another, mechanical action devices of the pestle type, mechanical action devices of the pump mixer type, mechanical action devices of the calibrated or labyrinthine forced passage type, this list being exemplary and not exhaustive. With jaw-type devices, these are designed, arranged, and positioned so that the material to be reduced—especially the discontinuous phase <t>D - can be located between the open jaws - the spacing of which is provided for this purpose in relation to the size of the elements of the discontinuous phase <t>D -, and more specifically, be forced to be between the open jaws. In the case where a plurality of distinct means of modifying physical state and different functionalities are provided, it is appropriate to provide at least one upstream means of modifying physical state, at least of fragmentation, concerning the discontinuous phase <t>D, which is adjacent to it, the upstream physical state modification means being located before any possible physical state modification means such as mixing. In the same case, it is appropriate to provide at least one downstream physical state modification means 34, at least for mixing, located after any possible physical state modification means such as fragmentation. Generally, it is advisable to arrange the physical state modification means 34 in a plurality of such means 34, so as to maximize the desired physical state modification. It is also possible to arrange a plurality of physical state modification means 34 to constitute successive stages (and steps), including for the same function. In all embodiments of the physical state modification means 34, of the pump, and more generally of the pump-dispensing bottle 1, the pump 3 ensures the aspiration of the matter from the content C located in the storage cavity 4, so that it is forced to pass through and cross the passage 27 of the dip tube 26, and consequently, is forced to be brought into contact and adjacency with the physical state modification means 34, which allows the physical state modification means 34, moreover controlled in motion by the actuation of the pump 3 - and therefore functionally combined with the pump 3 - to fulfill its function of changing the physical state of the matter in contact and adjacency.
[0129] Two cases can be considered with regard to the design of the physical state modification means 34. In the first case, a physical state modification means 34 structurally comprises all or part of the additional elastic means 33, placed in the feed channel 27 and located adjacent to, in the vicinity of, or close to its upstream lower opening 28a, with forced passage of material relative to the additional elastic means 33. In the second case, a physical state modification means 34 is structurally distinct from the additional elastic means 33.
[0130] One embodiment, neither limiting nor excluding others, of the first case of means 34 for modification of physical state (comprising all or part of the additional elastic means 33) (fig. 1-3, 5, 7, 12-17) applies when the additional elastic means 33 is a straight helical compression spring which is in contact with the material of content C or with the material of intermediate state (or a discontinuous phase <t>(D of one or the other), because this material, being drawn in by the pump 3, is forced to pass through the coils of the spring. In this case, the additional spring 33 can function as a mechanical action device of the jaw type 42, the jaws 42 being coils capable, as the spring 33 is compressed and in its compressed state, of being able to crush, compress, flatten, shear, cut, break the material located between these jaws or coils 42, the material being forced to pass through the coils / jaws (fig. 14, 17). In one embodiment, the entire spring 33 functions as a mechanical action device of the jaw type because all the coils are capable, when the spring is compressed or in its compressed state, of being able to crush, compress, flatten, shear, cut, break the material located between these jaws / coils 42.To maximize the desired effect, it may be provided that the conjugate parts of turns, or parts of turns forming jaws 42 that come into reciprocal support, have conjugate faces of complementary shapes extended over a surface area, so as to have a large contact area. In particular, it may be provided that, at least in part, these conjugate faces... are flat and substantially transverse (fig. 12-17). Alternatively, in an embodiment not shown, it may be provided that the conjugate faces have pointed reliefs.
[0131] Several realizations of the second case of means 34 of physical state modification (mean 34 of physical state modification structurally distinct from the additional elastic means 33) are now described, neither limiting nor excluding others.
[0132] One embodiment (fig. 24, 25), well adapted to an additional elastic means 33 being a helical conical or biconical compression spring located rather towards the top of the pump dispenser bottle 1, on the side of the pump 3, outside the dip tube 26, is such that the means 34 for modifying the physical state is a mechanical action device of the jaw type 43a, 43b where one 43a of the jaws is associated with the pump body 16 with a fixed connection, and the other 43b of the jaws is associated with the dip tube 26 with a fixed connection towards the lower end 28 of the dip tube 26. The jaw 43a associated with the pump body 16 is carried with a fixed connection by the internal part 39, in this case of mechanical action, towards its lower end 39a.
[0133] A physical state modification means 34 comprises—or is associated by a fixed connection to—the internal part 39. The internal part 39 (Figs. 19, 37, 38) is rigid, axially extended, and its external shape fits within a cylinder. The internal part 39 does not, by itself, form a circulation and passage tube and is therefore arranged for this purpose, notably with closed ends. This does not preclude providing, as in the embodiments shown in the drawings, for the internal part 39 to be hollow in order to limit its weight and the amount of material required for its construction. The internal part 39 has a peripheral lateral face 39c and is associated near its upper end 39b by a fixed connection to the tubular support and sealing portion 20.For example, the internal part 39 has at its upper end 39b an axial recess allowing a fixed connection, like an axial fit, with the lower end 20c of the tubular support and sealing portion 20 (figs. 1-3, 4, 6, 8, 24, 25). The internal part 39 extends downwards (i.e., its lower end 39a) to the vicinity of the lower end 28 of the dip tube 26, in its lower section 26b. The internal part 39 is housed in and guided by axial sliding upwards or downwards by the plunger tube 26, the peripheral lateral face 39c of the internal part 39 and the internal face 26ab of the cylindrical wall 26a of the plunger tube 26 being conjugate, with the supply channel 27 between them. The internal part 39 is associated with a fixed connection to the tubular support and sealing portion 20 (and therefore to the pump body 16).The internal part 39 is moved in exactly the same way as the tubular support and sealing portion 20 and the pump body 16, relative to the dip tube 26, between a high position and a low position corresponding to the high (Fig. 1, 5, 24, 25) and low (Fig. 2, 3, 7) positions of the tubular support and sealing portion 20 and the pump body 16. The internal part 39 has a shorter axial length, but one close to the axial length of the lower section 26b of the dip tube 26. For example, the internal part 39 can have an overall diameter corresponding to the internal diameter of the dip tube 26, on the order of 10 mm. The internal part 39 can be made in other functionally equivalent designs. Thus, the internal part 39 can be a single piece or comprise several end-to-end sections. The internal part 39 can extend over a substantial part of the axial height of the container 2 as in the embodiments of the drawings, or be shorter and with a lower end away from the bottom 5 of the container, in the case of one of the embodiments described above, without a part such as a strainer part 31, and with a dip tube 26 having an upper part in which the whole of the internal part 39 is located and a lower part empty of any part such as the internal part.
[0134] The jaw 43a associated with the pump body 16, with a fixed connection, is a downward-pointing, projecting nipple 43a extending downwards from the internal part 39. The jaw 43b associated with the plunger tube 26 comprises the upper part 36a of the plunger tube's flange 36, which, when brought together (low position of the internal part), can cooperate by their respective conjugate lateral or edge portions, so as to modify the physical state of the material in contact between them, the material being forced to pass between the The jaws 43a and 43b are connected to the pump body 16 and the plunger tube 26, respectively, by a fixed link, either directly or indirectly. As the internal part 39 slides towards its lower position, the jaws 43a and 43b are capable of crushing, compressing, rolling, shearing, cutting, or breaking the material between them. In one embodiment, the jaws 43a and 43b are shaped to maximize the desired effect, for example, by ensuring that their conjugate faces have appropriately complementary shapes. The previously described embodiment of the physical state modification means 34 of the type with jaws 43a, 43b can be applied not only in the case of a conical helical spring 33 located rather towards the top of the pump dispenser bottle 1 (fig.24, 25), but also in the case of a right helical 33 located towards the bottom of the pump dispenser bottle 1 on the bottom side 5, inside the dip tube 26 itself (fig. 1 -3, 5, 7), provided, in the latter case, that the coils of the spring 33 do not hinder the movement of the jaws 43a, 43b.
[0135] In another embodiment, adapted to an additional elastic means 33, being a straight helical spring located towards the bottom of the pump-dispensing bottle 1 (Fig. 1-3, 5, 7) or a conical helical spring located more towards the top of the pump-dispensing bottle 1 (Fig. 24, 25), the physical state modification means 34 (structurally distinct from the additional elastic means 33) is of the calibrated forced-pass type, formed between the conjugate faces of two portions of parts arranged to slide axially relative to each other, one of the parts being associated with the pump body 16 with a fixed connection, the other part being associated with the dip tube 26 with a fixed connection, each fixed connection being either direct or indirect via a rigid intermediate part. In one embodiment, the passage 44 is calibrated solely according to the material that must pass through it, in particular the discontinuous phase. In another embodiment, passage 44 narrows from upstream to downstream. This passage 44 is a continuous flow space for material between an upstream inlet and a downstream outlet, the cross-sectional area of which decreases from upstream to downstream, being larger upstream and smaller downstream. Passage 44 can be described as calibrated because its cross-sectional area is determined according to the physical characteristics, particularly the dimensions, of the material flowing through it. Passage 44 can also be described as forced because the pump 3 forces all the material from the contents C to pass through it.In the drawings, the portion of the part associated with the pump body includes a lower portion 45a of the peripheral side face 39c of the lower end 39a of the internal part 39, while the portion of the part associated with the plunger tube 26 includes a lower portion 45b of the internally facing peripheral side face 26ab of the lower section 26b of the plunger tube 26. The two faces in question 45a and 45b are joined and provided, one or both, with reliefs, such as one or more helical grooves, so that the cooperation of the two faces 45a and 45b makes it possible to form the calibrated forced passage narrowing from upstream to downstream, the reliefs as well as the grooves being less deep upstream than downstream and more deep downstream than upstream (fig. 18, 19, 36, 37, 38). For example, the reliefs of the two faces in question 45a and 45b form a kind of helical channel with axis A, with tight turns, whose opening decreases from upstream to downstream. The calibrated, narrowing forced passage can be implemented in other ways, provided that the material passing through it is ground (or a similar function is ensured). For example, it is conceivable that the reliefs on one or both of the two faces 45a and 45b could be oriented axially rather than helically.
[0136] In the drawings, on the upstream side, a physical state modification means 34 is provided with either an additional elastic means 33 placed in the supply channel 27, or a nipple 43a and a collar 36, and on the downstream side and in the vicinity of the previous one, a physical state modification means 34 with calibrated forced passage 44, in particular narrowing from upstream to downstream.
[0137] In another embodiment, adapted to an additional elastic means 33 being a straight helical spring located towards the bottom of the pump dispenser bottle 1 (fig. 1-3, 5, 7) or being a helical spring of The compression is localized towards the top of the pump dispenser bottle 1 (Figs. 24, 25). The physical state modification means 34 (structurally distinct from the additional elastic means 33) is of the labyrinthine type 46, formed between the conjugate faces of two portions of parts arranged for axial sliding relative to each other. One of the parts is associated with the pump body 16 by a fixed connection, and the other part is associated with the dip tube 26 by a fixed connection. Each fixed connection is either direct or indirect via a rigid intermediate part. In the drawings, the portion of the part associated with the pump body 16 includes a portion 46a, extending axially, like almost the entire peripheral lateral face 39c of the internal part 39.This portion 46a extends axially, on the one hand, upwards, to the vicinity of the tubular support and sealing portion 20, specifically at its lower end 20c, close to but slightly away from the transverse material passage 41 provided on the lateral wall 20b of the tubular support and sealing portion 20, and on the other hand, downwards, towards the lower opening 28a of the dip tube 26. The portion of the part associated with the dip tube 26 comprises most of the portion 46b of the internally facing peripheral lateral face 26ab of the lower section 26b of the dip tube 26. The two faces in question, 46a and 46b, are joined and provided, one or the other respectively, with localized reliefs 52a, 52b, in the form of a recess and a projection, which allow the labyrinthine passage to be formed. 46.This labyrinthine passage 46 is a space for the continuous circulation of matter originating from content C, such as matter in an intermediate state, between an upstream inlet—on the side of the lower opening 28a of the dip tube 26—and a downstream outlet—on the side of the tubular support and sealing portion 20—comprising a network of meanders and bends resulting from the presence and relative arrangement of reliefs 52a, 52b. These reliefs cause changes in direction and turbulence in the flow of matter passing through them, with the effect of mixing the matter as it advances from upstream to downstream. Generally, one or more of the reliefs 52a, 52b are arranged so as to intersect axis A at an appropriate angle, thereby simultaneously allowing the changes in direction and turbulence that ensure mixing and not impeding the advance of the matter. This labyrinthine passage 46 is formed between the conjugate faces 46a and 46b of the internally facing peripheral lateral face 26ab of the lower section 26b of the dip tube 26 and the peripheral lateral face 39c of the internal part 39. This labyrinthine passage 46 could be described as dynamic because the conjugate faces 46a and 46b that bound it internally and externally are mobile with relative axial sliding alternately in one direction and then the other (i.e., upwards and downwards), the internal part 39 being mounted with axial sliding in the dip tube 26 alternately in one direction and then the other. This design has the effect that the very shape of the labyrinthine passage 46 changes as it slides, which prevents the labyrinthine passage 46 from clogging. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 19, 37 and 38, the reliefs 52a of the internal piece 39 are peripheral transverse projections. In the realization of fig.18 and 36, the reliefs 52b of the dip tube 26 are helical projections with non-contiguous turns. An inverse design can be considered: peripheral transverse projections for the dip tube 26 and helical projections for the internal part 39. The design of the reliefs 52a and 52b and the labyrinthine passage 46 described is neither limiting nor exclusive of other equivalent designs with respect to the mixing function to be ensured. It can thus be considered that in the upstream-downstream flow path, the labyrinthine passage 46 is a circulation space that narrows from upstream to downstream.
[0138] All the implementations just described are neither limiting nor exclusive of other functionally equivalent ones which, through mechanical action, act on matter of content C or matter of intermediate state (or the discontinuous phase). <t>D of one or the other), so as to modify its physical state.
[0139] The tubular support and sealing portion 20 (fig.11) is provided with a sliding lip seal 47, namely with two lips, one high and one low, separated from each other axially, cooperating by axial sliding with and in the plunger tube 26. The transverse orifice 41 is located lower and the lip seal 47 is located higher, in particular towards the upper end 20a.
[0140] The upper section 26c of the dip tube 26 is designed to slidably receive the pump body 16 and part of the tubular support and sealing portion 20, while the lower section 26b is designed for the passage of contents C or intermediate-state material, from which the composition to be dispensed is discharged. Furthermore, the dip tube 26 has, near its upper end 29, a transverse vent 48 (Fig. 18, 35). This transverse vent 48 is, on the one hand, closed so as to be located between the two lips of the lip seal 47 in the upper position of the pump body 16, and on the other hand, unclosed so as to be located higher than the upper lip of the lip seal 47 in any position of the pump body 16 other than its upper position. This arrangement, including the lip seal means 47 and the transverse orifice 48 of the dip tube 26, forms an air intake when the control member 11 of the pump 3 is actuation. This arrangement can be used in other equivalent projects.
[0141] The container 2 may comprise two parts 8a and 8b which, before assembly, allow for the insertion of a compensating piston 49 inside. This compensating piston 49 is essentially annular in shape with a central orifice 50 for the passage of the dip tube 26. It is mounted in the container 2 with downward axial sliding movement as the dispensing bottle 1 is used, between a high position (Fig. 24) when the container is filled with contents C and a low position (Fig. 25) when the container 2 has been emptied of its contents C. The compensating piston 49 includes external sealing means 51a and internal sealing means 51b, suitable for ensuring external sealing with the inner face 6a of the lower part 8a of the container 2 and internal sealing with the outer face 26aa of the dip tube 26.Furthermore, the draft angles of the container 2 and the dip tube 26 are chosen to ensure leak-proof contact with the sealing means 51a and 51b of the compensating piston, in any position between the upper and lower positions. The compensating piston 49 is suitable and intended to perform several functions. The compensating piston 49 protects the material containing C from contact with the external atmosphere and therefore from the negative effects of such contact that could affect certain qualities or functions of the material containing C.The compensating piston 49 helps to direct and push the material containing C towards the inlet in the dip tube 26 and into contact with the physical state modification means 34, which can be advantageous for certain viscosities or consistencies of the material containing C. The compensating piston 49 also allows the entire material containing C, when it comprises several phases, to remain in its original configuration, in that shaking or inverting the pump dispenser 1 does not result in mixing or dispersing the phases. With the provision of a compensating piston, the pump 3 can be either air-recirculating or non-air-recirculating, with an air passage through the container 2 suitable for allowing the outside atmosphere to come above the compensating piston 49 as needed during use. This passage is provided, in particular, between the lower main part 8a and the upper part 8b of the container 2, for example at their interface. The compensating piston can be implemented in other ways provided that they ensure the required pressure compensation function during the use of the pump dispenser bottle 1.
[0142] The storage cavity 8 is delimited laterally, externally and internally, respectively, by the inner lateral face 6a of the container 2 and the outer face 26aa of the dip tube 26. This storage cavity 8 is connected downstream to the inside of the dip tube 26 via the lateral openings 32a provided by the strainer 31 (when present) and the lower opening 28a of the dip tube 26. Once inside the dip tube, the contents C undergo physical state modification by means 34 (when provided) so as to become the material in an intermediate state. In the embodiments shown in the drawings, the contents C, or its discontinuous phase <t>D is first fragmented by the jaw-type mechanical action device 42, 43a, and 43b. Then, the intermediate state material, already modified in this way, is further modified by the calibrated forced-passage mechanical action device 44, which narrows from upstream to downstream. Then, the intermediate state material, already modified in this way, is further modified by the labyrinthine passage mechanical action device 46. Thus, on the material passage 27 of the plunger tube 26, the jaw-type mechanical action device 42, 43a, and 43b are successively interposed, followed by the forced-passage device 44. calibrated narrowing, then the labyrinth passage device 46. At the outlet of these devices, we have the composition as it will be distributed. This composition therefore exits the material passage 27 of the dip tube 26 and enters the tubular support and sealing portion 20 via the orifice 41, then into the dose cavity 16a of the pump body 16 via one of the opening / closing means 17, then via the orifice 24 provided in the piston 21 into the distribution channel 13 of the pump 3 until reaching the distribution orifice 13a, through which the composition is distributed in the fluid state.
[0143] With the elastic pumping element 15 and the additional elastic element 33, the pump 3, and therefore the dispensing bottle, has two stages. The user actuates the control element 11 of the pump 3 with a single action, as they would with prior art pumps, without having to consider these two stages. The respective stiffnesses of the elastic pumping element 15 and the additional elastic element 33 can be adjusted according to the characteristics of the contents and composition to be dispensed. Thus, in a non-limiting and exclusive embodiment in which the stiffness of the additional elastic means 33 is less than the stiffness of the pumping elastic means 15, it is possible that, starting from the rest position, in which the control member 11 is not under load, the load on the control member 11 causes it, in a first step, to move into an intermediate position between its two extreme positions where the pumping elastic means 15 is relaxed, being uncompressed, and the additional elastic means 33 has been compressed. Then, in a second step, it moves it into the lowest extreme position, compressed, with the pumping elastic means 15 compressed.
[0144] The method of implementing a pump dispenser bottle 1 in the assembled state and filled with material containing C comprising a continuous fluid phase <t>FC and at least one discontinuous phase <t>D, capable of distributing a fluid composition, is such that: - with the implementation of pump 3 and by means of actuation of the control member 11, the material with contents C is drawn from the storage cavity 4 to direct it towards and force it through the material supply passage 27, - with the subsequent implementation of at least one deformable and / or movable physical state modification means 34, action is taken on the matter of the flow passing through the supply channel 27, with a view to applying a contact force on it in order to modify its physical state, such as in particular its fragmentation, its mixing, its agitation, its rheological modification, with the location of the physical state modification means 34 upstream of the pump motor 4 and the pump body 16 including the dose cavity 16a, a matter of composition to be distributed is sent into the dose cavity 16a and is distributed through the downstream distribution orifice (13a).
[0145] Actuating the control member 11 requires understanding a complete cycle of pressing and releasing. In this cycle, the change in physical state and the discharge through the distribution port 13a occur when the control member 11 is pressed. Pumping, with the suction of material, occurs when the control member 11 is released, and it is then the elastic pumping element 15 that creates the vacuum and drives the suction.
[0146] The pump 3 is capable of drawing material from the storage cavity 4 and of passing material through the supply channel 27 from upstream to downstream, the control member 11, once activated, controlling the change in the physical state of the material and the pumping of material having a physical state modified by the means 34 for changing the physical state.
[0147] The composition to be dispensed is fluid and has a modified physical state compared to the content C in storage cavity 4. The pump dispenser bottle 1 thus allows the dispensing of a fluid composition after its physical state has changed. This is especially true in the case of content C, which, before dispensing, has a fluid phase in storage cavity 4. <t>FC and a discontinuous phase <t>D, the discontinuous phase <t>D is reduced by the means 34 of physical state modification, so that the matter (distribution matter) passing through the pump 3 and distributed by it is fluid.
