Description

[0001] Multifunctional glass system

[0002] Field of the invention

[0003] The invention relates to a multifunctional glass system for use in an interior of a building.

[0004] State of the art

[0005] Multifunctional glass elements are known for a variety of applications. For example, transparent cast resin laminated glass with integrated LEDs is well known in technology and can be used as media glass facades facing the exterior as advertising media.

[0006] The laminated glass according to DE 20 2008 003 804 Ul comprises two glass elements, between which there is a decorative layer and optionally light-emitting diodes.

[0007] EP 3 264 241 A1 also describes a glass element which has a touch-sensitive layer between two glass panes which controls integrated lighting by means of light-emitting diodes.

[0008] There is increasingly no longer a clear distinction between living and working environments in buildings. Therefore, there is a need to create suitable means to develop comfortable, yet space-saving solutions for both the living area and the home-working environment.

[0009] Description of the invention

[0010] The invention is based on the object of developing a multifunctional glass system that can be used as versatilely as possible in the interior of a building, while simultaneously being space-saving. This object is achieved by a multifunctional glass system having the features of claim 1. Preferred embodiments follow from the remaining claims.

[0011] The multifunctional glass system according to the invention for use in the interior of a building comprises a fastening device for fastening a multifunctional glass element to a wall or the ceiling of the interior, wherein the multifunctional glass element has a frame for integrating all components of the multifunctional glass element and for attachment to the fastening device. The fastening device is adapted to change the position of the multifunctional glass element between a first position and a second position. The multifunctional glass element comprises a first main surface, which represents a working position side, and a second main surface, which represents a rest position side. On the working position side, the multifunctional glass element has the function of being designed, at least in partial areas, as an information system, in particular as a screen for IT applications and for TV use.On the rest position side, the multifunctional glass element comprises a laminated glass element with at least one transparent intermediate layer and has at least two of the functions from the list, comprising:.

[0012] Design with at least one camera;

[0013] Design with at least one loudspeaker, preferably with two or more loudspeakers;

[0014] Designed with at least one microphone;

[0015] Design with a security system; Design with a temperature sensor that can be coupled to an external system for controlling the living space climate;

[0016] Design with a heating system, preferably in the form of one or more infrared radiators, and

[0017] Design with a screen for gaming applications.

[0018] The multifunctional glass system according to the invention thus integrates various functions into a frame which can be fastened to a wall or ceiling in the interior of a building using a fastening device. The fastening device is designed and adapted so that the position of the multifunctional glass element can be changed between a first position and a second position. Furthermore, the multifunctional glass element comprises two main surfaces, each of which has functionalities integrated into it. These functionalities are provided individually or in combinations of several functionalities via components such as a screen or a laminated glass element. These components are held by the frame. However, individual components can have a plurality of functional elements, such as LEDs or a loudspeaker, which are integrated into a laminated glass element.

[0019] An information system, in particular as a screen for IT applications and for TV use, is integrated into a first main surface, at least in some areas. Since this side is likely to be used primarily in a home work environment, the main surface on this side of the multifunctional glass element is referred to as the work position side. However, this term is not to be understood as restrictive, but purely descriptive, since the oppositely oriented second main surface of the multifunctional glass element can also be equipped with a screen and can therefore be used in the same way for home work, despite being referred to as the rest position side.

[0020] On the rest position side, the multifunctional glass element comprises a laminated glass element with at least one transparent intermediate layer. Such laminated glass elements are known in the art and consist of glass elements from which a multi-layer laminated glass is produced using special transparent casting resins or a suitable film. Such casting resins are offered, for example, by the Kömmerling chemical factory in Pirmasens.

[0021] According to the invention, the multifunctional glass element on the rest position side has at least two of the functions from the list given above. The components for implementing the functionalities, such as LEDs, can be integrated into the laminated glass element, but can also be provided separately.

[0022] When designing a screen for gaming applications, a touch screen is usually provided that can be controlled by the user by touch.

[0023] The multifunctional glass system is therefore variable both in terms of possible fastening inside a building and in terms of orientation in the first and second positions. By providing a frame, all components of the multifunctional glass element can be integrated, but also easily maintained, repaired and replaced. It is also important that the multifunctional glass system has functions on both the working position side and the rest position side, which can be used depending on the orientation of the multifunctional glass element. The provision of a laminated glass element with at least one transparent intermediate layer at least on the rest position side has the additional advantage that various functions can be integrated into the laminated glass element.

[0024] Preferably, the multifunctional glass element on the working position side, in addition to being designed as an information system at least in some areas, has at least one function from the list, comprising:

[0025] Design with integrated LEDs as artificial light,

[0026] Design with at least one camera,

[0027] Design with at least one loudspeaker, preferably with two or more loudspeakers,

[0028] Design with at least one microphone,

[0029] Design with at least one motion detector,

[0030] Design with a temperature sensor that can be coupled to an external system for controlling the living space climate, and

[0031] Design with a heating system, preferably in the form of one or more infrared radiators, these functions preferably being integrated in one or more laminated glass elements.

[0032] The multifunctional glass system thus boasts a multitude of functions that can be integrated individually or in combination into one or more laminated glass elements. Furthermore, the functionalities can be used in different ways and thus adapted to the individual needs of a user, both in a work environment and in a living environment. For example, the design of the work position side with a motion detector can be linked to the room's lighting control, but at the same time, in combination with the provision of one or more loudspeakers, it can also be linked to an alarm system that emits an alarm signal via the loudspeakers and, optionally, also via a visual display using integrated LEDs as artificial light. The possible design with a temperature sensor can, on the one hand, be coupled with an external system for controlling the living space climate, but alternatively or additionally, it can also be coupled with this when a heating system is provided on the rest position side and / or on the working position side.

[0033] The design with a heating system on the work position side is particularly relevant for home office applications, because when there is a lack of movement when working in front of a screen, many people complain of cold hands and feet due to insufficient blood circulation.

[0034] Numerous possible functions and the associated functional elements can be integrated into the frame, allowing easy adaptation to the individual needs of a user, while the modular design also allows the multifunctional glass system to be adapted to future technical developments. For example, a camera can be provided separately next to a screen. When the screen is replaced with a newer screen in the future, this camera is already integrated into the new screen. This means that when the screen is replaced, a different module can be inserted into the frame instead of the camera, which, for example, now contains a temperature sensor instead of the originally intended camera. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the frame can be removed or opened and preferably comprises corner connectors and frame profiles screwed to these.

[0035] Because the frame can be dismantled or opened, all components are accessible for maintenance, repair and replacement, as well as for replacement with more technically advanced components.

[0036] It is preferred that the components are each accessible from the corresponding side. In other words, it is advantageous if the components on the working position side are accessible from the working position side, while the components arranged on the rest position side are accessible from the rest position side. This makes replacement or repair easy, and there is no need to remove components just to gain access to the components to be replaced or repaired.

[0037] A frame that incorporates corner connectors around frame profiles screwed to them has proven particularly suitable for integrating components in the desired formats. At the same time, a frame formed in this way is sufficiently mechanically stable and can be connected using a suitable fastening device. Finally, such a frame can also be easily replaced with a new frame, for example, one with larger dimensions to accommodate components such as screens, monitors, or laminated glass elements of different dimensions.

[0038] The corner connectors can be designed in any way.

[0039] This makes it possible to miter the frame profiles and screw them together using corner connectors. The connection can also be made using a T-joint. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the frame comprises holding profiles, each of which is connected to one of the longitudinal profiles and is preferably screwed, hooked, or clipped in. By providing holding profiles, accessibility to all components can be easily achieved by removing the corresponding holding profiles in the area of a component that is to be maintained or repaired. In addition, the holding profiles prevent the components from accidentally falling out of the frame.

[0040] According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the frame comprises corner connectors and longitudinal profiles, wherein at least one of the elements from the list comprising: a camera, a motion detector,

[0041] - a heating system; and a temperature sensor is integrated.

[0042] This solution is advantageous because integrating such components into the frame is cheaper to manufacture than integrating them into laminated glass elements. These functions can be provided on both the working position and the rest position sides, which also makes the multifunctional glass system easier and more cost-effective to manufacture. For example, by providing motion detectors integrated into the frame on both sides of the frame, i.e., on the working position side and the rest position side, and by allowing the signal processing to take place jointly.

[0043] According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the laminated glass element has a completely or at least partially non-transparent layer on the main surface facing the working position side on the rest position side.

[0044] Preferably, several functions are arranged in spatially separate areas of the multifunctional glass element. Alternatively, several functions can also be arranged in spatially overlapping areas. For example, the room lighting and the information system can be arranged in overlapping areas.

[0045] If as many functions as possible are to be combined in a single laminated glass element, the laminated glass element can also comprise at least three glass panes with two intermediate layers. If, for example, four functions are to be provided in a single laminated glass element, these are usually integrated in the intermediate layer or several intermediate layers between the glass panes. Alternatively or additionally, individual functions can be integrated into the individual glass panes of a laminated glass element. For example, two functions can be provided in each glass pane of the laminated glass element, but a 3:1 division between the two glass panes can also be chosen. If a larger number of functions are provided, for example five functions, these can be distributed between the glass elements and intermediate layers in any way.Any division between the intermediate layer and the individual glass panes is possible, as long as it makes technical sense. For example, it makes technical sense to position integrated speakers toward the interior of the room. Furthermore, functions can be integrated into the intermediate layer or the intermediate layers between the individual glass panes of the laminated glass element.

[0046] The frame should preferably have dimensions adapted to the opening diagonal of conventional door openings. However, the most commonly used standardized door sizes do not limit the frame dimensions, as larger formats allow for on-site assembly and integration with the components to be integrated.

[0047] According to a preferred embodiment, the fastening device comprises an electrically operated drive. It is particularly preferred if a user can actuate the fastening device with the aid of a remote control, so that the multifunctional glass element can be moved between the first position and the second position.

[0048] Preferably, the fastening device is designed to lock the multifunctional glass element at least in the first position and second position, but preferably designed to lock the multifunctional glass element in a plurality of intermediate positions within the range of movement between the first position and the second position, and most preferably to lock it in any intermediate position.

[0049] For example, if the multifunctional glass element in the second position is in a horizontal position such as a table top, it must be ensured that no hazard can arise from the multifunctional glass element if a fault should occur in the fastening device.

[0050] According to a preferred embodiment, the fastening device can be mounted on a ceiling of the interior space and, when mounted in this manner, comprises a pivot axis extending substantially horizontally. In this way, the multifunctional glass element can be moved from a first position, in which the working position side is arranged substantially vertically, to a second position, in which the rest position side of the multifunctional glass element is arranged parallel to the ceiling and toward the room side.

[0051] According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, the fastening device can be mounted on a wall of the interior room and, in the mounted state, comprises a pivot axis extending substantially in a horizontal direction, wherein at least one support foot is preferably attached to the frame for supporting the multifunctional glass element in the second position in which the rest position side is arranged substantially horizontally and directed upwards.

[0052] A multifunctional glass system secured in this way thus comprises a multifunctional glass element which, in a first position, is arranged such that the working position side is arranged vertically and faces the interior, while in the second position the multifunctional glass element is arranged substantially horizontally and the rest position side faces upwards. To stabilize the multifunctional glass element in this second position, it is preferred that at least one support foot is attached to the frame to support the multifunctional glass element in the second position.

[0053] According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, the fastening device can be mounted on a wall of the interior space and, when mounted in this manner, comprises a pivot axis extending substantially vertically. The multifunctional glass element can thus be moved between a first and a second position, in which either the working position side or the rest position side is oriented into the interior space, so that the functional elements arranged on the two main surfaces of the multifunctional glass element can be used as required.

[0054] According to a further alternative design of the multifunctional glass system, the fastening device can be mounted on a wall of the interior and, when mounted in this way, comprises at least one sliding rail running essentially in a horizontal or vertical direction.

[0055] The multifunctional glass system is preferably arranged so that the working position side faces the room side. By sliding it along the horizontal or vertical sliding rail, the multifunctional glass element can be moved into a position suitable for the user during use. Otherwise, it can either be pushed upwards out of sight or pushed sideways, for example, behind a piece of furniture. Here, for example, the wall on the resting position side can be heated with the help of one or more infrared radiators to prevent the formation of moisture, especially condensation, which could lead to the risk of mold growth.

[0056] The multifunctional glass system is preferably characterized in that the function of the configuration with a security system includes a motion detector and / or smoke detector, which is coupled via a controller to a light source and / or a loudspeaker to act as a burglar alarm or to warn of a fire hazard in the event of smoke development. The motion detector and / or smoke detector can also be connected to a security system and / or warning system that is provided externally.

[0057] Preferably, one or more laminated glass elements are also provided on the work position side. If multiple laminated glass elements are provided on the work position side, these are preferably arranged either on two opposite sides of the information system or in a U-shape around the information system. Alternatively, they can also completely surround the information system.

[0058] The format of the frame can be changed. The easiest way to do this is to replace the frame while retaining the mechanical connection between the frame and the fastening device. Alternatively, parts of the frame can be used for a new frame. For example, if the frame is enlarged, the horizontal frame parts can be used for the vertical part of the enlarged frame. This means that only the previously vertically arranged frame profiles need to be replaced with longer frame profiles, which now represent the horizontal frame profiles in the enlarged frame. The corner connectors, fastening elements and some of the optionally provided retaining strips can be reused in this way.

[0059] Another way to adapt the frame is to modify the retaining strips or sealing elements. As technological developments continue to lead to IT elements with even smaller installation depths, adjustments can be made easily when replacing individual components without having to modify most of the individual elements of the frame, the fastening device, or the other components.

[0060] It is also possible to adapt only the frame to suit a new home design by using different corner connectors and frame profiles, for example, with different profiles or different colors. When designing the work position side as well as the rest position side with integrated LEDs as artificial light, these can be controlled so that their brightness can be adjusted or only a specific area is illuminated. Different surface distributions or even different colors can be realized in the same way.

[0061] The frame is preferably made of aluminum, but can alternatively be made of glass fiber reinforced plastic or carbon fiber reinforced plastic.

[0062] The drive of the movement mechanism for moving the fastening device between the first position and the second position as well as any intermediate positions can be done manually, but is preferably done by motor, preferably controlled via a suitable app on the mobile radio device.

[0063] The fastening device and movement technology are preferably designed so that the frame can be enlarged if necessary if additional functionalities are to be integrated into the multifunctional glass system according to the invention. Currently common flat screens have thicknesses between 50 mm and 100 mm and weights between 30 kg and 100 kg, so it is preferable to design the fastening device and associated movement technology so that weights up to 100 kg can be integrated into the multifunctional glass system with a safety margin.

[0064] The opaque screen on the working position side already provides glare protection. However, this glare protection could additionally be designed as the last layer of one or more laminated glass elements, either as a switchable layer or as a screen print with a surface that matches the LEDs, so that the multifunctional glass element can also be used in front of the window of an interior room. According to a preferred embodiment, the multifunctional glass system further comprises an intermediate element with at least one further function, wherein the intermediate element is arranged between the first main surface and the second main surface of the multifunctional glass element such that it is movable relative to the frame and, in a rest position, is arranged in the frame and, in an operating position, protrudes laterally or downwardly from the frame, wherein the intermediate element is preferably motor-driven and movable between the rest position and the operating position.

[0065] The intermediate element is preferably a flat element that, in the rest position, is arranged within the frame and has dimensions that are matched to the dimensions of the frame. In the working position, the intermediate element is pulled out of the frame laterally or downwards and is preferably moved out of the frame by a motor. For this purpose, guide rails can be provided that are firmly attached to the frame and hold the intermediate element in a movable manner.

[0066] The multifunctional glass element thus has a layered structure with at least three functional levels: the first main surface of the multifunctional glass element, the second main surface of the multifunctional glass element, and the side of the intermediate element facing the first main surface. If functions are also integrated into the side of the intermediate element facing the second main surface, four functional levels are present.

[0067] The multifunctional glass system is preferably characterized in that the intermediate element is designed, at least in some areas, as an additional information system, in particular as a screen for IT applications. In this way, the multifunctional glass element can comprise an additional information system in addition to the information system on the workstation side and offer expanded possibilities in a home office environment.

[0068] Furthermore, the intermediate element can contain further functions already explained herein, for example further LED structures or heating elements, both on the working position side and the rest position side.

[0069] The provision of an intermediate element keeps the entire multifunctional glass system compact so that, when arranged in the rest position in the frame, it can be arranged in a space-saving manner in a residential environment.

[0088] Ways of carrying out the invention

[0089] In the following figures, identical components are designated with the same reference numerals.

[0090] Fig. 1 shows a first embodiment of a multifunctional glass element of a multifunctional glass system according to the invention. The multifunctional glass element 10 has a frame 6 which serves to integrate all of the components described below. The frame is preferably made of aluminum profiles, but can alternatively be made of GRP or CFRP and can optionally be colored to adapt to different living environments. The frame 6 comprises corner connectors 8 which connect longitudinal profiles. Retaining strips 7 are connected, for example screwed, to the corner connectors 8 and serve to fix components of the multifunctional glass element 10 in their position.

[0091] The multifunctional glass element 10 has a working position side 22 and a resting position side 24, both of which represent the main surfaces of the multifunctional glass element 10. The designation of the working position side and resting position side is, however, only chosen to better distinguish between the two sides and does not represent a restriction to, for example, the orientation of the multifunctional glass element when working at home or outside of work. On the working position side 22 there is a screen 2, which corresponds to a commercially available screen and can optionally be equipped with lighting in the form of LEDs, one or more loudspeakers, a camera and a microphone and other peripheral devices commonly found on screens.

[0092] A laminated glass element 3 is also provided above the screen 2 on the working position side 22. The laminated glass element 3 is oriented towards the working position side 22 and consists of a laminated glass with functional elements embedded therein, which are described in more detail with reference to Fig. 4. The laminated glass element 3 is fastened between the retaining strip 7 and a retaining bracket 14 screwed to the frame 6. The retaining bracket 14 is preferably screwed to the frame and is preferably made of aluminum. Alternatively, the retaining bracket can also be made of GRP. For soft bedding and sealing of the laminated glass element 3, support and sealing profiles 17, 18, for example made of an elastomer material, are arranged between the laminated glass element 3 and the retaining structures connected to the frame 6 in the form of the retaining strip 7 and the retaining bracket 14.In addition, a further support and sealing profile 20 is provided on the underside to support the laminated glass element 3.

[0093] On the rest position side there is a laminated glass element 4 which represents the entire surface on the rest position side 24. The laminated glass element is provided as laminated glass with integrated LEDs and other possible functional elements, as will be explained later with reference to Fig. 5. On the side of the laminated glass element 4 facing away from the rest position side 4 there is a cover surface 5 which is completely or partially opaque, it being possible to use different structures and patterns which are either screen printed onto the rear surface of the laminated glass element 4 or which can be glued onto the laminated glass element 4 in the form of a separate film cover. Alternatively, the rear surface of the laminated glass element 4 can also be painted.

[0094] The laminated glass element 4 is also softly cushioned towards the rest position side 24 by means of support and sealing profiles 12 and sealed against the retaining strip 7 attached to the frame. In order to also fix the laminated glass element 4 inwards, i.e. away from the rest position side, retaining webs 11 are provided on the frame 6, which can be formed integrally with the frame profile parts or can be connected to them in any desired manner. A U-shaped support and sealing profile 13 is attached to the retaining webs 11, which supports and seals the laminated glass element 4 towards the inside of the multifunctional glass element.

[0095] In the same way, a sealing profile 15 and, if necessary, a seal 16 can also be provided between the screen 2, depending on its construction depth, and the laminated glass element 4.

[0096] Ventilation slots 9 are provided at the top and bottom of the frame 6 to allow the waste heat generated by the screen 2 and other electronic components to be dissipated by convection flow in the multifunctional glass element 10.

[0097] The multifunctional glass element 10 according to Fig. 2 essentially corresponds to that according to Fig. 1, so that only the specific differences will be referred to below. On the rest position side 24, the laminated glass element 4 is provided with a covering surface 5 only in the lower region, i.e., in the region adjacent to the screen 2 provided on the working position side 22, while the upper region is left transparent.

[0098] On the working position side 22, a single-pane glass pane 19 is inserted above the screen 2 instead of the laminated glass 3 shown in Fig. 1. The single-pane glass pane 19 can, if desired, be colored and provided with structures applied using a screen-printing process using lacquer. Due to the reduced thickness of the single-pane glass pane 19 compared to a laminated glass element, the position or dimensions of the retaining bracket 10 and the support and sealing profile 20 must be adapted accordingly.

[0099] The multifunctional glass element 10 according to Fig. 3 corresponds on the rest position side 24 to that according to Fig. 1, but has a screen 2 on the working position side 22, which extends over the entire height of the multifunctional glass element 10 shown in vertical section. The design can correspond to that according to Fig. 7, i.e. laminated glass elements are arranged laterally next to the screen 2, which, however, are not visible in the sectional view according to Fig. 3.

[0100] In this case, there is no need for separate support of the screen by the support and sealing profiles 15, 16, since the screen is supported at the rear by the support and sealing profiles 13 plugged onto the holding webs 11.

[0101] Figs. 4 and 5 show the working position side 22 and the rest position side 24 of an exemplary multifunctional glass element 10. The screen 2 is provided on the working position side 22 shown in the figure. Optionally, one or more loudspeakers 31, a microphone 32 and a camera 33 are integrated into the screen 2. Alternatively or additionally, one or more cameras 33a can also be integrated into the frame. Furthermore, a motion detector 35 and a temperature sensor 37 can be integrated into the frame.

[0102] A laminated glass element 3 according to the embodiment shown in Fig. 1 is arranged above the screen 2. Several functional components can also be integrated into the laminated glass element 3. These are LEDs 38 in any arrangement, and / or one or more of the functional elements comprising one or more loudspeakers 31, a microphone 32, a camera 33, a motion detector 35, and a temperature sensor 37 for measuring the room temperature, which is coupled to the room's heating system.

[0103] In the rest position side 24 of the multifunctional glass element 10 shown in Fig. 5, numerous functional elements can also be integrated into the laminated glass element 4. These are one or more LEDs 38 and / or a microphone 32 and / or a camera 33 and / or a motion detector 35 and / or a temperature sensor 37. The laminated glass element 4 can also be designed to enable gaming applications 34. With regard to the alternative or additional arrangement of one or more cameras 33a, a motion detector 35 and a temperature sensor 37 on the frame 6 of the multifunctional glass element 10, the same applies as has already been described above with reference to Fig. 4. Finally, heating elements 36 can optionally be arranged on the rest position side 24, preferably near the underside of the multifunctional glass element 10.

[0104] The embodiment according to Fig. 6 shows the working position side 22 of a multifunctional glass element 10. Here, laminated glass elements 3a, 3b are arranged above and below the screen 2 and aligned horizontally, i.e. the laminated glass elements have a greater extent in the horizontal direction than in the vertical direction when the working position side 22 is arranged vertically. In the laminated glass element 3a arranged above the screen 2, one or more LEDs are arranged as lighting and, alternatively or additionally, further functional elements. These are one or more loudspeakers 31, a microphone 32, a camera 33, a motion detector 35, one or more heating elements 36 and a temperature sensor 37. All of these functional elements 31, 32, 33, 35, 36, 37 and 38 can be provided in any number and combination with one another.Alternatively, one or more cameras 33a, a motion detector 35, and a temperature sensor 37 can also be integrated into the frame 6. In the area of the screen 2, in addition to the screen, one or more functional elements can also be integrated into the screen structure. These are one or more loudspeakers 31, a microphone 32, a camera 33, a motion detector 35, and a temperature sensor 37.

[0105] The laminated glass element 3b arranged beneath the screen 2 can also have various functionalities, either alternatively or cumulatively. Here, too, one or more loudspeakers 31 and / or a microphone and / or a camera 33 and / or a motion detector and / or a temperature sensor 37 can be arranged.

[0106] In the alternative embodiment according to Fig. 7, two laminated glass elements 3a, 3b are arranged laterally next to the screen 2 and are aligned vertically. Functions provided individually or in any combination in the area of the screen 2 correspond to those according to Fig. 6. Lighting 38 in the form of LEDs is provided in each of the laminated glass elements 3a and 3b, which are preferably provided in the upper area of the laminated glass elements 3a and 3b. In addition, loudspeakers 31, a microphone 32, a camera 33, a motion detector 35 and a temperature sensor 37 can be arranged individually or in any combination in the laminated glass elements 3a, 3b. As in the embodiment according to Fig. 6, a camera 33a, a motion detector 35 and a temperature sensor 37 can also be integrated at any point in the frame.

[0107] In the alternative embodiment according to Fig. 8, which also shows the working position side of a multifunctional glass element 10, laminated glass elements 3a and 3b are arranged next to the screen 2 and aligned vertically, in accordance with the embodiment according to Fig. 7. In addition, however, a further laminated glass element 3c is also arranged above the screen, in accordance with the embodiment according to Fig. 4. The functional elements that can be provided in addition to the screen 2 in the area of the screen and which can be provided individually or cumulatively are one or more loudspeakers 31, a microphone 32, a camera 33, a motion detector 35 or a temperature sensor 37. The same elements can also be arranged in the laminated glass elements 3a, 3b, 3c, in addition to or cumulatively to a lighting 37.As in the preceding embodiments, a camera 33a, a motion detector 35 and / or a temperature sensor 37 can be integrated into the frame 6 alternatively or additionally. In other words, the following functional elements can be arranged once or multiple times in any combination at any point in the U-shaped frame formed by the laminated glass elements 3a, 3b and 3c: lighting elements 38 preferably in the form of LEDs and / or loudspeakers 31 and / or a microphone 32 and / or one or more cameras 33 and / or a motion detector 35 and / or a temperature sensor 37. Alternatively or additionally, as in the preceding embodiments, a camera 33a, a motion detector 35 and / or a temperature sensor 37 can also be integrated into the frame 6, which represents a more cost-effective solution than embedding the functional elements in a laminated glass element.Since the optional functional elements can be arranged arbitrarily in the area of the laminated glass elements 3a, 3b, and 3c, the reference numbers are indicated only once in Fig. 8. The same applies to the reference numbers 33a, 35, and 37 on the frame, which can be arranged anywhere within the frame.

[0108] Fig. 9 shows the multifunctional glass system 1 according to the invention together with a schematically illustrated fastening device 40 with a vertically oriented shaft 42, which in the exemplary embodiment according to Fig. 9 is arranged vertically in a corner of an interior space 44 formed from an inner wall 46 and an outer wall 48. The fastening device 40 preferably has a motorized actuation of the shaft 42. The multifunctional glass element can be moved between a first position parallel to the outer wall 48, in which the working position side 22 is oriented into the interior space, and a second position parallel to the inner wall 46, in which the rest position side 24 is oriented into the interior space. The movement between the first position and the second position takes place in the direction of arrow A.

[0109] 10a and 10b show an alternative attachment variant of the multifunctional glass system to the ceiling 50 of an interior space. The fastening device 40 according to FIGS. 10a, 10b comprises two separate attachment points for attaching the multifunctional glass system 1 to the ceiling. Fig. 10a shows the multifunctional glass element 10 in a first position, in which the working position side 22 and the rest position side (not visible in Fig. 10a) on the back are each arranged vertically or essentially vertically. In the embodiment according to Figs. 10a and 10b, the shaft 42 is arranged horizontally, so that the multifunctional glass element 10 can be rotated about the shaft 42 in the direction of arrow A between the first position shown in Fig. 10a and the first position shown in Fig. 10b shown second position parallel to the ceiling 50 of the interior. In Fig.10b, the first position is designated "a" and the second position is designated "b". In addition, there are further positions "c", "d", "e". Positions c and d are intermediate positions between the mainly used positions a and b, while position e pivots the multifunctional glass element 10 beyond the vertical position in order to be arranged perpendicular to the obliquely upward line of sight of a user when attached to or near the ceiling of an interior space. Thus, in the multifunctional glass system 1 according to Figs. 10a and 10b, position "e" is the most suitable for work applications.

[0110] The multifunctional glass element can preferably be locked in the positions a, b, e shown in Fig. 10b, but in the same way it is also possible to lock the multifunctional glass element in any intermediate position within the pivoting range of the pivot axis 42.

[0111] 11a and 11b, the multifunctional glass system 1 is fastened to an inner wall 46 or outer wall 48 of an interior space 44. The multifunctional glass element 10 is preferably rotatable about a horizontally arranged shaft 42 in a motor-controlled manner. In the first position, the multifunctional glass element 10 is arranged parallel to the wall 46 or 48 and the working position side 22 is directed towards the room. In the second position, the multifunctional glass element 10 is arranged horizontally with the rest position side 24 pointing upwards. For better support in the rest position, one or more support legs 42 can be attached in an articulated manner to the frame 6 of the multifunctional glass element 10 in order to support the multifunctional glass element 10 against the floor in the horizontal position. In the embodiment shown in Fig.In the horizontal position shown in Figure 11b, the rest position side 24 can be used for gaming applications, for example.

[0112] 12a and 12b, a sliding mechanism is used instead of a rotating mechanism. Fig. 12a shows an inner wall 46 or outer wall 48 to which rails 54 are attached for moving the multifunctional glass element 10 between a first position and a second position. The rails 54 represent part of the fastening device. The multifunctional glass element 10 can be moved between a first position "a", which corresponds to a working position, into a position "b", in which the multifunctional glass element is located, for example, behind a cupboard 56, as can be seen from the view from above in Fig. 12b. In contrast to the embodiments according to Figs. 9 to 11b, in both positions the working position side 22 is facing the interior, while the rest position side 24 is facing the wall. In Fig.12a and 12b show a horizontal displacement in the direction of arrow B between the two positions a and b. However, a vertical displacement can also be performed in the same way to move the multifunctional glass element between the first and second positions.

[0113] The ability to move in the direction of arrow B is also preferably motor-controlled, so that a user can easily move the multifunctional glass element between the individual positions using a remote control or an app on the mobile phone.

[0114] The multifunctional glass element 10 shown in Fig. 13a, 13b and 13c has a multi-layer structure. Between an information system 2 forming the working position side 22 with one or more possible supplementary laminated glass elements and a laminated glass element 4 arranged on the rest position side 24 and optionally further supplementary elements on the rest position side 24, a flat intermediate element 60 is provided, which is preferably a further glass element and in particular a further screen. The intermediate element can be inserted in the direction of arrow C according to Fig. 13a, b and c after appropriate opening of the frame between the screen forming the working position side and the laminated glass element 4 forming the rest position side and can be removed again in the same way. In Fig. 13a, the inserted intermediate element 60 is shown in section, whereas in Fig.13b the intermediate element is shown in the extended position, wherein the intermediate element is preferably motor-driven and can be moved outwards from the laterally open frame. For this purpose, rails can be provided to guide the intermediate element. The intermediate element 60 further increases the selection of functionalities of the multifunctional glass system, but within the framework of a modular design also enables simple adaptation to special requirements with regard to the functionalities to be provided, as well as changing user needs. In particular, in addition to an additional IT surface, further functions can be integrated via the intermediate element 60 on both sides of the intermediate element. For example, the intermediate element can be an additional screen on the working position side and can have, for example, additional LED structures or a heating device on the rest position side.

[0115] The movement of the multifunctional glass element 10 thus formed takes place as described above and is not limited to the pivot axis 42 shown schematically in Fig. 13c.

[0116] Fig. 14 shows a further embodiment which, as an alternative to the design according to Fig. 13 with an intermediate element which can be moved outwards to the side, but also in addition thereto, comprises an intermediate element 60 which can be moved downwards. The intermediate element 60 can preferably be moved outwards by motor in the direction of arrow D from the frame which is open at the bottom. Rails can be provided for guiding the intermediate element 60 for this purpose. The intermediate element 60 further increases the selection of functionalities of the multifunctional glass system and preferably has a screen 62 for IT applications and heating elements 36, preferably IR radiators, which can give off heat towards the user in the working position shown in Fig. 14. The other possible functionalities of the multifunctional glass element 10 according to Fig. 14 have already been explained with reference to Fig. 4.

[0117] The embodiment according to Fig. 15 represents a modification of the embodiment according to Fig. 14. The heater 64 with one or more heating elements 36 is arranged on the intermediate element not next to, but below the screen 62.

[0118] In the embodiments shown in Figs. 14 and 15, a laminated glass element 3, in which several functional components are integrated, is arranged above the screen 2. In the same way, however, several laminated glass elements can also be provided, corresponding to the geometries of the embodiments according to Figs. 6 to 8.
