Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to the field of sanitary facilities and hygiene technology. Technical background
[0002] Toilet brushes are regularly used to clean toilet bowls. They often come with a holder, usually for the brush head, forming toilet brush sets. These sets are frequently sold as such. For easy access, toilet brushes and sets are typically kept directly next to the toilet bowl.
[0003] When the toilet bowl needs cleaning, for example after a bowel movement, the cleaning action of the toilet brush can be quickly utilized. Typically, after such cleaning, the user returns the toilet brush to its holder. Water can then enter the holder.
[0004] In everyday life, the use of toilet brushes often leads to unpleasant and / or even hygienically questionable situations, especially in public restrooms frequented by many people.
[0005] For example, both the toilet brush head and handle can become dirty. Dirt and water can also frequently accumulate in the brush holder. This is not only unhygienic but also unappealing. Toilets with poor hygiene, or even just an unkempt and / or unhygienic appearance, are often avoided by visitors. Worn-out or infrequently replaced toilet brushes are a decisive factor.
[0006] Furthermore, accumulated toilet water is often accidentally spilled from the toilet brush holder by careless toilet users, for example when carelessly putting the toilet brush back, thus contaminating the floor and the surrounding air.
[0007] German utility model DE 1932357 U discloses a storage device for a toilet set including a toilet brush, which can also accommodate toilet paper rolls. This solves the problem of safe storage and guaranteed availability of toilet paper at a toilet in case of urgent need.
[0008] The Chinese Utility Model CN 210043914 U, on the other hand, reveals a toilet set (a toilet set itself). Such a set could, for example, be placed in the mounting device of DE 1932357 U (see above).
[0009] The toilet set presented in the Utility Model is enclosed at the bottom by a base element. Dirt, liquid, and pests collect in this element. Therefore, the base element must be opened and cleaned regularly, for which purpose it is equipped with a snap-fit or plug-in mechanism.
[0010] The disadvantages are the lack of hygiene and the effort required for cleaning.
[0011] Furthermore, despite the base, the toilet brush set is very wobbly, especially when the brush is removed or replaced. In many cases, for example, if the brush is slightly tilted, the user inadvertently lifts the entire toilet brush set (including its internal components and base) when operating the brush handle. The user cannot then use the brush immediately; they must first successfully detach the toilet brush set from the brush to expose the bristles. For these reasons, the use of the CN 210043914 U toilet brush set is neither particularly comfortable nor reliable / robust.
[0012] Furthermore, any liquid and dirt that may have accumulated in the toilet fittings can be distributed / spilled throughout the entire toilet area.
[0013] As a result, disgruntled users of public restrooms often simply throw the toilet brush set (accidentally moved when taking it out) "anywhere" instead of lovingly and respectfully returning it to its original place. This leads to even more chaos and less hygiene in the restroom area; the cleaning staff on site constantly have to clean up the mess and restore hygienic conditions through their efforts.
[0014] Furthermore, it is a disadvantage that the toilet set shown, which consists of numerous elements, making it more prone to soiling, more difficult to clean, and more complex to manufacture, must be replaced. To maintain its functionality, the entire complex toilet set must then be replaced with an identical or similarly complex model, which is disadvantageous.
[0015] US Publication US 20090211926 A1 discloses a holding device for a plunger / toilet plunger, etc., comprising a hollow body with an opening, a bearing element attached to the body for holding a toilet cleaning brush, a bottom cover connected to a base of the body, and a lid with a base; the bottom cover has a central cavity into which a pivot shaft component is inserted; the lid is held in the body and can be rotated into a closed position to close the opening of the body at a curved covering half-section thereof; the lid can be rotated into an open position so that a plunger can be inserted into and removed from the body; the base is pivotally mounted on the pivot shaft element for smooth rotation of the lid;The base is pre-tensioned by an elastic spring element so that it comes into close contact with the body and is held in place, thus preventing any openings or gaps through which liquids could escape. A plunger or toilet plunger can be stored in the body of the device; an optional toilet brush is suspended laterally in the aforementioned bearing element. The toilet brush is inserted directly into a laterally disassemblable, two-part body (bearing element, lockable from the side); a standard toilet brush set is neither required nor can be used.
[0016] Advantages of this revelation include a stop mechanism during the rotating removal or storage of the plunger / toilet plunger, as well as a pressure mechanism effected by an elastic spring element, which thus prevents the leakage of liquid and dirt into the area of the lower mechanism by means of a tight seal.
[0017] The device has a very complex structure and is difficult to clean; after prolonged use, due to contamination and wear, it must be (completely) replaced. The parts are specialized and difficult to obtain.
[0018] The toilet brush is not very stable and is also relatively awkward to remove. An additional fixing arm, which extends in a curved shape from the body enclosing the plunger, is intended to gently support (or lean against) the handle of the toilet brush. For further details, please refer to the disclosure itself.
[0019] The present invention is therefore based on the technical problem of improving the conditions of toilets with regard to (actual as well as perceived) hygiene. Solutions should allow the user to perceive toilets as appealing and "inviting" with regard to all available senses, and should sustainably improve the quality of hygiene practiced, as well as the quality of the ambient air (healthy and hygienic, including the prevention of odors).
[0020] To this end, a new device should be developed that overcomes the disadvantages of the current state of the art and enables new solutions. Specifically, more practical, flexible, scalable, safer, and more reliable solutions should be created. Cost minimization also plays a crucial role, so a sufficiently robust yet affordable solution is desired. Ideally, the solution should be easily retrofitted. Furthermore, the solution should be environmentally friendly, highly recyclable, and, in particular, keep operating costs low. A high level of comfort should also be guaranteed for all involved.
[0021] The disadvantages of the prior art are overcome by the device according to claim 1 for receiving a commercially available toilet set. The invention pursues a different approach than the disclosure of utility model CN 210043914 U, recognizing that significant advantages arise from the use of an advantageous receiving device. für WC sets create, instead of trying to improve commercially available WC sets by adding extensions or variations of features. Description of the invention
[0022] The present invention provides a device with the features of claim 1.
[0023] Further advantageous embodiments are specified in the dependent claims.
[0024] Accordingly, a device for receiving a standard toilet set is provided.
[0025] A standard toilet brush set can include a toilet brush with a handle and a holder for the brush. The holder may be closed off at the front by a cover element, or open at the back and top.
[0026] The device may also have a base element which is designed to support the holding device for the toilet brush.
[0027] The base element can be designed to be placed on a surface (the floor). This ensures a stable stand for the device and thus for the toilet set. (Floating brackets, on the other hand, often suffer from relative instability.)
[0028] The base element can, for example, create an important direct connection between a floor / an external load-bearing surface on the one hand and the underside of a toilet set on the other.
[0029] Ideally, the base element is designed to be thin and flat in order to best fulfill its function. Ideally, the effective overall height (base level) of the base element (and thus the increase in the height of the toilet fitting through the use of the invention) is less than 25% of a radius (or effective radius in the case of a non-circular shape) of the base element, preferably less than 15%, better less than 10%.
[0030] The base element may have at least one fixing element on its upper side. This fixing element may be designed to limit the toilet brush holder on at least one side, particularly at the rear. The fixing element may be designed to prevent the toilet brush holder from moving uncontrollably (for example, from tipping over and / or spilling contents) when the toilet brush is removed and / or replaced, particularly when using the toilet brush handle.
[0031] The device can be easily retrofitted and is compatible with standard toilet brush sets. The concealing element makes the toilet brush, especially the handle, initially invisible to the user, i.e., "hidden." This creates a more pleasant atmosphere. The brush and its set visually "disappear" from the user (as do any dirt or liquid), and it also creates an initial barrier to air circulation, which already has a positive effect on the quality and hygiene of the surrounding air. Unpleasant odors are thus reduced. The fixing element further enhances this effect synergistically. It holds the toilet brush set and its holder securely in place. Uncontrolled movement is prevented, which again minimizes the effective contact between the holder, as well as any dirt or liquid on it, and the surrounding air.
[0032] The toilet set is therefore not visually visible - including the handle - shielded against air circulation by a high barrier and is further prevented from uncontrolled movements and the associated negative consequences.
[0033] The device is used, for example, in front of a wall or in a corner.
[0034] Because the device is open at the rear, it can still be easily inspected and cleaned if necessary. This is comparatively difficult with solid cylinder devices.
[0035] Due to its features, the invention contributes to a pleasant, healthy, and comfortable (and easily manageable) toilet experience for the user. It also offers advantages in terms of cleaning and maintenance, as well as for cleaning staff.
[0036] The fixing element can include fixing points, particularly in the form of fixing knobs. These can be, for example, three or five knobs for extra support of the toilet set. According to a preferred embodiment, two knobs have proven to be particularly compatible with a large number of commercially available toilet sets of varying shapes. This ensures high compatibility, guaranteeing the desired technical effects with a particularly high proportion of toilet sets – often purchased or replaced independently. Round points or knobs enhance this effect.
[0037] An alternative fixing element can include a fixing bar. Here, the resulting friction and thus the stable fit is particularly secure for toilet sets with a flat contact surface. However, with round toilet sets, the stability is less secure than with the fixing point variant. Both variants therefore have their own distinct advantages. A set combining both variants is also a viable option for sale.
[0038] The fixing points can be located in the rear area of the base element. Studies have shown that when removing the toilet brush, users typically exert a slight backward pressure. Furthermore, the fixing points themselves are particularly easy to clean in this location, as they are exposed.
[0039] According to one embodiment, the fixing element should be designed discontinuously. This can mean, in particular, that the sub-elements that effect the fixing interact discontinuously with the toilet fitting.
[0040] According to one embodiment, the fixing element should in particular not be simply circular (continuously circular).
[0041] According to one embodiment, the fixing element should in particular not be simply continuous (continuous contact for fixing the toilet fitting) (e.g. circular or in other shapes).
[0042] These features ensure that a conventional / standard toilet set can be used; these sets may have slight differences in shape and / or size, which are compensated for. This allows for the easy installation of various standard toilet sets ("different models"), even without fine-tuning of settings.
[0043] On the other hand, with a circular shape, only a toilet set that has exactly this (the same) shape and size (inner size of the circular shape = outer size of the toilet set) will fit.
[0044] Discontinuous fixing elements (designed, for example, for discontinuous mechanical engagement) offer significant advantages in terms of model compatibility with commercially available / conventional toilet sets.
[0045] The invention can be easily used by the customer with standard / conventional toilet sets. Purchased toilet set models can be modified while retaining the invention (application flexibility of the invention).
[0046] In particular, a "fully form-mimicking 'fixing element'" can be disadvantageous. This element completely imitates the exact shape of a toilet set model, which regularly leads to incompatibility with other toilet sets. A simple form imitating the shape of the toilet set, for example in the form of a recess or a rim, is also not a fixing element within the meaning of the present invention for the reasons mentioned above (see therefore the quotation marks ' in the first sentence of this paragraph). Such an element, should it occur in the prior art, was generally not created with the purpose of fixing, and in particular not with the primary purpose of fixing. A fixing element, however, is deliberately designed or configured for the purpose of fixing.
[0047] Fixing elements within the meaning of the present invention can in particular be elements which fix the toilet set, but do not enclose it; in particular not in a form-fitting manner.
[0048] The edge of the base element can be designed to be higher, specifically to contain any leaking liquid and prevent it from spilling onto the floor. The fixing element for the mounting bracket creates a synergistic effect, as it provides double protection against leaks. This enhanced safety effectively and completely solves the problem of liquid spilling from the toilet bowl onto the floor.
[0049] The device can be integrally designed, in particular integrally made of plastic or integrally made of powder-coated sheet steel. In particular, the fixing elements as well as the edge can each be formed from the same material as the main device.
[0050] Integral manufacturing is not only particularly simple: it is of great importance for cleaning – and thus for the effective longevity of devices exposed to the heaviest contamination during their service life.
[0051] The steel sheet version is particularly high-quality, elegant and even more durable, while the plastic version is cheaper to produce.
[0052] For an improved exemplary understanding of the embodiments, reference is made to the figures and the associated figure descriptions. List of characters
[0053] The present invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to the exemplary embodiments shown in the schematic figures of the drawings. These show: Fig. 1a schematic representation of a device for receiving a toilet set including the toilet set arranged therein according to a first embodiment of the present invention; Fig. 2 a schematic representation of a device for receiving a toilet set including the toilet set arranged therein according to a first embodiment of the present invention; Fig. 3 a schematic representation of a device for receiving a toilet set including the toilet set arranged therein according to a first embodiment of the present invention; Fig. 4 a schematic representation of a device for receiving a toilet set including the toilet set arranged therein according to an embodiment of the present invention; Fig. 5 a schematic representation of a device for receiving a toilet set including the toilet set arranged therein according to a further embodiment of the present invention.
[0054] In all figures, identical or functionally equivalent elements and devices have been provided with the same reference numerals, unless otherwise specified. Description of the drawings
[0055] The Figure 1 Figure 1 shows a schematic representation of a device for receiving a toilet set, including the toilet set arranged therein, according to a first embodiment of the present invention. The figure shows a perspective view from a rear oblique angle. The device 100 is closed at one front by a half / partial cylinder (covering element). The covering element covers the entire area of the toilet set, including the toilet sill handle 300 and the retaining device 301.
[0056] The device can easily be retrofitted to a standard toilet set 300, 301. Various types of standard toilet sets can be used (see also, for example, ...). Figure 5 ).
[0057] Air circulation is reduced, particularly in the brush area and in the area of the holding device 301. The rim 110, for example, prevents liquid from leaking onto the floor, even if the holding device 301 leaks due to material failure.
[0058] Fixing points 200a-1 and 200a-2 ensure a stable fit of the toilet brush set in the device. This is particularly important when removing and replacing the toilet brush using handle 300. When removing or replacing the brush using handle 300, the user exerts slight pressure towards the open rear of the device, which increases the frictional force at fixing points 200a-1 and 200a-2.
[0059] The device is easy and thorough to clean, especially due to its integral construction, and therefore has a high degree of recyclability, even if it has become heavily soiled during use. High-temperature cleaning processes can also be used effectively, particularly with the steel version. The cleaned Device 100 meets the highest hygienic requirements for sterility. (One could eat healthy food from this, if one wanted to.)
[0060] The Figure 2 Figure 1 shows a schematic representation of a device for receiving a toilet set, including the toilet set arranged therein, according to a first embodiment of the present invention. The device is shown from the rear. For example, the device 100 is placed with the rear side shown here against a wall or in a corner. However, it can also be incorporated into other constructions.
[0061] The Figure 3 Figure 1 shows a schematic representation of a device for receiving a toilet set, including the toilet set arranged therein, according to a first embodiment of the present invention. The (here, exact) half-cylinder is clearly visible in the side view shown. This represents a good compromise between concealment and accessibility, the latter also for cleaning, of the device. According to the invention, other concealment elements, in particular other partial cylinders (which thus encompass a larger and / or smaller angular range or arcs / sections of circles), can also be used.
[0062] The Figure 4Figure 1 shows a schematic representation of a device for receiving a toilet brush set, including the toilet brush set arranged therein, according to an embodiment of the present invention. A front view is shown. Only the cover element (e.g., the front half-cylinder) is visible. The toilet brush set, including the handle, is concealed.
[0063] The Figure 5 Figure 1 shows a schematic representation of a device for receiving a toilet set including the toilet set arranged therein according to a further embodiment of the present invention.
[0064] A holding device 301 is held in place by a fixing bar 200b. This again clearly demonstrates how unnecessary movement or even accidental tipping of the holding device 301 is avoided, and how the high cover element improves both the visual appearance from the front and the ambient air quality. Thanks to the open back and the integral design, the device is easy and thorough to clean. Reference symbol list
