[0006] The skin is a major organ that protects the body against environmental attacks such as cold, wind, pollution, but also against toxins and bacterial attacks. It is a complex structure made up of three successive layers, the dermis, the dermis and the hypodermis. The epidermis is the outermost layer. The hypodermis is the deepest layer, mainly made up of adipocytes and blood vessels.
