[0002] Bottle carriers come in various designs and are often referred to as "six-packs," indicating that they hold six bottles. These carriers are typically made of a foldable, flat material, such as cardboard. They can be placed inside larger containers, such as bottle crates or pallets. Another type of container for bottles is the so-called tray, a rectangular container with recesses for the bottles, designed to hold bottle carriers like six-packs. These trays are also known as "beverage bottle trays." Such larger containers can often be stacked for transport or storage. When filled trays are stacked, the tray on top rests directly on the bottles in the tray below.Arranging bottle carriers in larger containers, such as a tray with a total of 48 or 54 bottles, or eight or nine six-packs, makes it easy to transport or store a large number of bottles or bottle carriers. Thus, the bottles B are firmly fixed in the opening 26 and accordingly attached to the bottle carrier 10. Claims

1. One-piece cut from foldable flat material for manufacturing a bottle carrier (1), comprising the following connected parts: a base (3), two longitudinal walls (4, 5), two end walls (6, 7), a handle part (10), comprising two upper sections (13) which are foldably connected to each other by means of an upper folding edge (K) and in which a handle opening (20) is arranged, two middle sections (12) each foldably connected to one of the upper sections (13), the middle sections having two identical layers (12a, 12b) which are each foldably connected at one end along their length to the upper section (13) and at the other end along their length to the lower section (11) and each have a folding edge (12c, 12d) in the middle along their length over which a hole (14) extends, and a plurality of connecting tabs (22) for connecting individual parts,wherein by folding the blank along the fold lines connecting the individual parts a box-shaped, open-topped container (2) is formed from the base (3), the longitudinal walls (4, 5) and the end walls (6, 7) and the middle section (12) is formed as a two-layer folded structure, so that the layers (12a, 12b) can be folded together like bellows along the fold lines (12c, 12d), thereby transforming the hole (14) into a recess.

14. One-piece blank according to claim 13, wherein the bottle carrier (1) is a bottle carrier according to any one of claims 1 to 11.

15. Method for manufacturing a bottle carrier, comprising the steps (i) providing a foldable flat material, (ii) cutting out a one-piece blank according to claim 13 from the flat material, and (iii) folding the one-piece blank into a bottle carrier according to any one of claims 1 to 11.
