The present invention provides a container with double lids, which has a container body, a lid unit to close an open top of the container body, a locking flap provided on either of the container body and the lid unit, and a locking protrusion provided on a remaining one of the container body and the lid unit to lock thereto the locking flap. The lid unit of the container of the present invention includes a locking lid which is made of a soft material and has a predetermined shape to correspond to an edge of the open top of the container body, with an opening provided at an inside part of the locking lid, and a rim-shaped receiving part provided on a lower end of the locking lid to receive therein the edge of the open top of the container body; and an observing lid. The observing lid includes a cover plate to be placed in the opening of the locking lid, and a coupling part extending outward from an edge of the cover plate and to be inserted into the receiving part of the locking lid. Therefore, the container of the present invention allows a user to observe contents of the container through the observing lid, thus being convenient to the user. Furthermore, because the locking lid may be variously colored, the container of the present invention provides the double lids of two tones of color, thus enhancing the appearance thereof.

An alternative lid has flaps comprising major and minor segments separated by a diagonal fold line. The minor segment has an apex that releasably biases the flap in engagement with the end panel, yieldably locking the lid.

The present invention provides a collapsible foam shipping cooler and a process for producing the collapsible cooler. The collapsible cooler includes a linear series of attached side panel sections where each of the adjacent side panel sections are separated by a V groove formed by 45° beveled cuts made in a ends of each of the sections, and an adhesive tape flexible hinge is attached on the side of the panels opposite the V groove. The series of attached side panel sections is movable between a collapsed storage mode and an assembled mode where the series of sections are arranged to form a closed rectangular loop with top and bottom perimeter edges. Top and bottom foam panels contact the top and bottom edges of the closed loop to form a closed insulated cooler which is matingly received in a conventional corrugated box shipping container.

Childproof packaging for a product such as matches or pharmaceutical tablets includes a sleeve and a container for the product within the sleeve. The package includes two pairs of latches, with each latch of a pair oppositely located on the package. A user must use both hands simultaneously, with a respective hand operating a respective pair of latches, to hold the latches in an unlatched condition and also simultaneously to apply pressure to the container to slide it outwardly relatively to the sleeve. Such a two-handed, five finger operation to open the package requires a dexterity that is easy for adults but very difficult for children. Each latch may be a spring arm mounted tab or button which seats in an aperture in the sleeve.

Disposable cup lid having fold back retainer

A disposable cup lid for placement onto a drinking cup is provided, having a tear tab which is generally aligned with the orientation of the extruded plastic sheet material from which the cup lid is made. There is a first, generally centrally located region in the lid, which has a higher elevation than the cup rim receiving recess at the periphery of the lid; and there is an indentation formed in the central region which is provided so as to accommodate the tear tab when it is folded back around a U-shaped hinge to create a drink-through opening in the cup lid. The indentation has a pair of detents located at its edges so as to hold and retain the tear tab in place when the foldback flap is folded back about the U-shaped hinge and the tear tab is inserted into the indentation. The tear tab is retained below the plane of the central region of the cup lid.

A reclosable lid for use with an open-top container is disclosed. The reclosable container lid comprises a cover including an annular top wall having a channel integrally formed therein. A drinking spout in the top wall is adapted to dispense the contents of the container. The reclosable lid uses a slide lock closure feature that prevents spillage during transportation of the open-top container and easy access for opening and drinking. The slide lock closure is configured to engage with the channel to slide longitudinally along the channel between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the slide lock closure opens the drinking spout and in the second position, the slide lock closure closes the drinking spout to inhibit dispensing the contents of the container.

In use, after any beverage within the cup is consumed, the backboard is removed from the closure and mounted to a rim of the cup for providing a basketball hoop-like arrangement for use with the compressible ball. Closure with tear strip

A closure for covering an opening of a container. The closure includes an inverted U-shaped peripheral channel for receiving the rim of a container therein. A tear strip is formed with the skirt of the closure via a tear line that circumscribes the skirt. A breakaway pull tab having an inner surface with U-shaped ribs, the combination of the surface and ribs being such as to provide a concavity which assists in gripping the tab to pull the strip away. Linear vertical ribs may be provided on the outer surface to provide further assistance in the gripping function. The skirt includes a recessed area underlying the pull tab for providing access to the pull tab. An alternative embodiment uses a zig-zag structure of strengthening ribs in the skirt to reduce the amount of material necessary to provide the undercut. This reduces the probability of warpage in the closure structure.
