A container and closure assembly includes a container defining an opening and having a lip positioned around the opening. The assembly also includes a closure configured to be attached to the container. The closure includes a top portion defining a circular periphery, and a first skirt portion extending downwardly from the circular periphery to form a cylindrical structure defining a first internal closure space. The closure also includes a second skirt portion extending downwardly from a first part of the cylindrical structure. The second skirt portion has a first side edge and a second side edge that form a gap. A tab extends downwardly from a second part of the cylindrical structure and is positioned in the gap. A first vertex segment is attached to the second skirt portion, and a second vertex segment is attached to the tab.

According to one embodiment, a container comprises a basket and a lid. The basket has a base, a pair of sidewalls, and a pair of endwalls. The base, pair of sidewalls, and pair of endwalls are integrally connected. The pair of sidewalls and the pair of endwalls integrally extend outwardly to form a first latching portion. The base forms a concave channel, a first concave region, and a second concave region. The concave channel extends along a major axis of the base. The first concave region extends from the concave channel to one of the pair of sidewalls, and the second concave region extends from the concave channel to the other of the pair of sidewalls. At least one of the sidewalls and endwall intersections forms a wall ventilation aperture. The lid is connected to the first latching portion of the base. The lid has a second latching portion corresponding to the first latching portion of the base. The first and second latching portions are adapted to retain the lid and the basket in a closed relationship.

A self-venting microwaveable pouch, a food product, and a method of preparing a food product utilizing a rupturable or vent seal that is formed in the pouch and along an aperture formed by the pouch. Multiple pouch products can be stored or displayed by placing hanger or hook through apertures defined by the pouch panels, such as apertures in the top sections of the panels. A vent seal is formed along the aperture. Flexible insets extend between bottom sections of the panels. The insets and bottoms of the panels and outwardly extendable to form a base to support the pouch in an upright position. In use, when a food item is heated in a microwave oven, the rupturable seal is reliably broken before other pouch seals. As a result, the pouch can be conveniently shipped and displayed, and the food item can be properly cooked and maintained within the container.

A container (100) includes a bowl (200) and a lid (300) for the bowl (200). The lid (300) includes at least one opening (330). The lid (300) can be sealed to the bowl (200) in a plurality of orientations, including (i) an open orientation and (ii) a closed orientation. A packaging bag having a steam venting function capable of releasing pressure inside a package even when heating cooking is performed by a microwave oven and preventing the inside of the bag from being contaminated and the package using the packaging bag. The packaging bag 1 comprises two pieces of front and back main body films 2 and 3 having sealant layers 2s and 3s which are opposed to each other with the sealant layers facing inward, side seal parts 5, and a bottom seal part 4. The front body film 2 is folded in the vicinity of the bottom seal part 4 throughout the entire width of the bag and parallel with the bottom seal part to form a fold-in part 8. A disposable cup lid for placement onto the rim of a drinking cup is provided. The cup lid comprises a cover portion having a drinking access port and a condiment opening, a rim portion, a reclosable and tearable fold-back condiment tab, a hinge, a post and a recess. The cup lid is structured in such a manner that when the condiment opening is not in use, the condiment opening is reclosable by the condiment tab.

A beverage container having a slidably openable lid assembly is disclosed. The lid assembly basically comprises a base member and a cover member. The base member includes a wall portion releasably securing the lid assembly to the container and an opening in fluid communication with a beverage holding chamber in the container. The cover member is slidably coupled to the base member to slide from a closed position to an open position and vice versa. When the cover member is in the closed position it isolates the opening and the contiguous portions of the base member from the ambient surroundings. When the cover member is in the open position it exposes the opening to enable a user to drink the beverage via the opening. The cover includes an elastomeric member arranged to engage and seal the opening in the base member when the cover member is in the closed position.

There is disclosed an improved stand-off for large vacuum compression storage bags made from a thermoplastic material such as polyethylene or other thermoplastic material and preferably made by extrusion. The stand-off includes a base having an aperture therein for alignment with the valve of the bag. The base further includes a plurality of ribs. The stand-off may include a variety of geometries provided that it is of sufficient length and width to cover the valve area. It may extend from one side of the bag to the other side of the bag or include variations thereof in size.

A tamper-resistant container with tamper evident feature which includes a cover portion defining a outwardly extending peripheral flange, a base portion defining an upper peripheral edge, and a hinge joining the outwardly extending peripheral flange with the base portion. The upper peripheral edge includes an upwardly projecting bead extending substantially about the perimeter of the base portion that is configured to render the outwardly extending flange of the cover portion relatively inaccessible when the container is closed. The present invention provides a food packaging bag, which can hermetically seal and pack foods therein for long-term storage of the foods and can realize cooking in a safe manner, a food-packaged body, and a method for manufacturing the food-packaged body. Preferably, the present invention provides a food packaging bag, which, in a food packed state, does not undergo breakage of the seal upon exposure to pressure or impact applied during transport or storage and, at the time of serving, even when placed in the hermetically sealed state in a microwave oven followed by heating, can automatically lower the internal pressure to prevent the burst of the bag, and a food-packaged body, and a method for manufacturing the food-packaged body. The food-packaged body consists essentially of: a food packaging bag formed of a laminated film comprising at least a base layer and a sealant layer, the sealant layer being located on the interior side of the packaging bag, the packaging bag having therewithin a point seal part connected to or independently of its edge, the point seal part having in its inside an easy-vapor-passing part; and a food which has been packed and hermetically sealed in the packaging bag.
