[0005] According to the invention, this is achieved with a collection vehicle of the type mentioned above by the fact that a first rod is rotatably mounted on the collection vehicle, that the first rod is rotatably connected to a second rod, that the first rod projects beyond the connection of the first rod to the second rod, and that the second rod is rotatably mounted on the articulated quadrilateral, so that the projecting part of the first rod has a distance to the container arranged on the lifting device in the lowered position, and the container is tilted by the projecting part in the raised position.

A four-bar linkage 2 is provided, which can lift a container 8 that can be suspended from the four-bar linkage 2 via a plate 9. The four-bar linkage 2 is a parallelogram, so that lifting the container 8 does not cause it to tilt. The four-bar linkage 2 is lifted by a motor. Two joints 6, 7 of the four-bar linkage 2 are located on the collection vehicle (indicated by the wall to which the two joints are attached). Furthermore, a first rod 3 is rotatably mounted on the collection vehicle. The first rod 3 is rotatably connected to a second rod 4. A person operating the collection vehicle can therefore stand directly in front of container 8 and will not be struck by it during the lifting movement. This is, of course, advantageous for occupational safety.
[0016] The entire movement is achieved by a single motor, located, for example, at the lower joint 6 or the upper joint 7. This can be an electric motor that lifts the articulated joint 2. The electric motor sets a shaft in rotation, applying a certain torque. The required torque increases with the weight of the container to be emptied. 1.
