Abstract

A collection vehicle, in particular a waste collection vehicle, comprises an electric power source, a collection container (7), a loading mechanism, a compaction element (1), and an electric motor that drives the compaction element (1). [0001] The present invention relates to a collection vehicle, in particular a waste collection vehicle, comprising an electric power source, a collection container, a loading unit, a pressing element and an electric motor that drives the pressing element. State of the art

[0002] The generic illustration shows an electrically powered garbage truck. The garbage truck has a compaction element driven by a motor. For this purpose, an articulated quadrilateral is provided, the crossbar of which is attached to the collection vehicle and from which one arm can perform full rotations. The compaction element is positioned as an extension of the connecting rod, thus having a free end, which results in very high bending forces when the garbage is compacted. The chute 12 is approximately cylindrical, and on one side of it is a disc 4, which is rotatable by a motor. The axis of the disc 4 is approximately aligned with the axis of the cylindrical chute 12. 1. Collection vehicle, in particular waste collection vehicle, with an electric power source, a collection container (7), a loading unit, a pressing element (1) and an electric motor that drives the pressing element (1), characterized by the fact that The pressing element (1) is guided and supported on both sides at two points (2, 3), wherein these points (2, 3) are preferably a maximum of 20%, more preferably a maximum of 10% of the height of the pressing element (1) from its upper or lower edge.
