Abstract
Description
[0001] This disclosure relates to an anti-rollover device for a wheeled container, in particular a two-wheeled or four-wheeled container, said device configured to immobilize a handle of the container, protruding laterally, to a vertical support, such as a wall or furniture extending vertically from a floor.
[0002] The present disclosure further relates to equipment comprising a wheeled container having a laterally projecting handle, a floor on which the container is configured to be moved on its wheels, and an anti-rollover device fixed high above the floor and configured to immobilize wheeled containers by its handle. [0003] This disclosure relates to the field of waste containers, such as for example standardized containers NF EN 840, and / or DIN EN 840, forming a container made of plastic material, equipped with a hinged lid, and a handle, protruding laterally from the container and articulated wheels at the base of the container and allowing the container to be moved by rolling it on the ground.
[0004] This disclosure finds application for two-wheeled containers, typically with a capacity between 50 liters and 400 liters, such as 120 liters, 240 liters requiring a slight tilting of the container to place the load on the two wheels, but also for four-wheeled containers, typically with a larger capacity, typically above 400 liters such as 500 liters, 660 liters or more.
[0005] Such waste containers are typically left outdoors for extended periods and can attract foraging animals due to the odors. It is not uncommon for the containers to be knocked over by wild animals, such as wild boars, causing a nuisance, or overturned due to strong winds. This problem can also arise when the ground is moving, for example, when the containers are on the deck of a boat. Technique antérieure

Description des modes de réalisation
[0036] This disclosure relates to an anti-rollover device 1 for a CR wheeled container, in particular two-wheeled or four-wheeled.
[0037] CR wheeled containers can be waste containers, such as for example standardized containers NF EN 840, or DIN EN 840, forming a container made of plastic material, equipped with a hinged lid, and a handle, protruding laterally from the container and hinged wheels at the base of the container and allowing the container to be moved by rolling it on the ground.
[0038] This disclosure finds application for two-wheeled containers, typically with a capacity between 50 liters and 400 liters, such as 120 liters, 224 liters requiring a slight tilting of the container to place the load on the two wheels, but also for four-wheeled containers, typically with a larger capacity, typically above 400 liters such as 500 liters, 660 liters or more.
[0039] The anti-rollover device is configured to immobilize a laterally protruding container handle (PG) to a vertical support (SV), such as a wall (M) or a piece of furniture extending vertically from the ground. The wall might typically be an exterior wall of a house or building. The vertical support (SV) could also be a piece of furniture, for example, a vertical post anchored to the ground.
[0040] The PG handle extends laterally from the container, typically on the same side as the two wheels of a two-wheeled container. The handle includes a horizontal bar oriented in this horizontal direction when the container is resting on its wheels. The horizontal bar is typically made of plastic and has a diameter of approximately 3 cm.
[0041] The container typically includes a lid hinged to the container body. The hinge axis of the lid is typically coaxial with the axis of the horizontal bar of the PG handle.
[0042] The anti-rollover device comprises a cage having an upper wall 10, a lower wall 11, a bottom wall 12 delimiting a groove forming a longitudinal housing LG for a horizontal bar of the handle.
[0043] The cage can be formed by a sheet metal folded into a U forming the bottom wall 12, the bottom wall 11, and the top wall 10, a first fold approximately at 90° delimiting the bottom wall 11, and the bottom wall 12, and a second fold approximately at 90°, parallel to the first fold delimiting the bottom wall 12 and the top wall 10.
[0044] Notably, the groove features a lateral opening (OL) to allow the horizontal handle bar to be inserted into the groove or, conversely, to be removed from the groove by rolling the container on its wheels along the ground. The U-shaped sheet metal is therefore lying flat during use.
[0045] In general, the lateral opening OL can be delimited by the space in two longitudinal edges of the bent sheet metal, at the ends of the upper wall 10 and the lower wall 11.
[0046] In use, the cage is fixed to the vertical support so that the longitudinal housing LG extends horizontally, said side opening opening laterally so as to permit insertion, by rolling the container on the ground on its wheels.
[0047] The reversing device also includes: - a closing means 13 configured to go: -- from an open state EO of the lateral opening OL allowing the horizontal bar to be inserted into the housing through said lateral opening OL, or allowing the horizontal bar to be extracted from the longitudinal housing -- from a closed state EF of the lateral opening ensuring that the handle is immobilized and held captive by the closing means 13 in the cage.
[0048] In all cases, the tipping device 1 allows the container to be secured by its handle to a sturdy, vertical support, and released by rolling the container on its wheels along the ground, thus avoiding the need to lift the container and its contents. With reference to the figure 2 , we note that the kinematics of the handle from a position outside the cage, and until its movement through the lateral opening OL in the groove, the horizontal bar extending lengthwise in the longitudinal housing LG, follows a substantially horizontal trajectory.
[0049] Generally, even when the PG handle is secured in the LG housing, the wheeled container lid can still be opened. The anti-tipping device does not prevent the lid from opening or closing while pivoting, especially when the lid pivots around the handle's axis. The wheeled container can always be loaded through its top opening, even when secured by the anti-tipping device on its handle.
[0050] In one embodiment, the groove formed by the upper wall 10, the lower wall 11, and the bottom wall 12 extends lengthwise over a distance between 40 mm and 120 mm, and in particular between 60 mm and 100 mm, such as 80 mm. Such a groove length greater than or equal to 40 mm and less than or equal to 120 mm prevents shearing of the horizontal bar of the handle.
[0051] Generally, a section of the longitudinal housing is configured to receive a horizontal bar with a diameter between 25 mm and 35 mm, for example 30 mm.
[0052] According to one embodiment, the closing means 13 may include a mechanism having a hinged flap configured to retract from the closed state EF to the open state EO by an insertion action of the horizontal bar pushing the flap, and configured to preferably switch automatically from the open state EO to the closed state EF once the horizontal bar in the housing has released the flap, the flap closing the lateral opening OL while holding the handle captive in the cage. Alternatively, the switching from the open state EO to the closed state EF may be manual, operated by moving the mechanical linkage LI.
[0053] The shutter can be a hinged shutter, pivoting along a hinge axis A parallel to an axis of the groove, at the level of the upper wall 10 or the lower wall 11; said shutter free to move from the closed state to the open state EO by pivoting in a first direction towards the inside of the groove, the shutter configured to pivot in a second direction until the shutter is stopped in the closed state EF.
[0054] Inserting the handle into the groove and securing it with the flap is made easier because it only requires inserting the handle into the longitudinal housing LG, in particular requiring no additional action from the user on the closing mechanism.
[0055] In particular, the shutter can be hinged at the level of the upper wall, in particular at the level of the free edge of the upper wall 10, the shutter configured to switch from the open state to the closed state under the action of gravity on the shutter.
[0056] If an operator attempts to extract, the handle forces the shutter to rotate in the second direction until the shutter is brought to a stop, and in particular until the shutter is brought to a stop against an edge of the free edge of the upper wall 10.
[0057] The shutter can, however, as an alternative, be hinged at the lower wall 11. In such a case, a return spring, in particular a torsion spring, can be provided to constrain the shutter from the open state EO to the closed state EF.
[0058] In general, the anti-rollover device may include a portion of attachment having at least two OR holes for fasteners, such as screws, the holes offset along the direction of the longitudinal housing, the fixing holes configured for fixing the anti-rollover device to a vertical wall ensuring a positioning of the housing along a horizontal direction.
[0059] In particular, said attachment portion may include the bottom wall 12, which has two fixing holes, the bottom wall forming, on the side opposite the housing, a fixing plate intended to be fixed to a vertical wall of the vertical support, and as illustrated in the figure 1 .
[0060] According to another embodiment, said attachment portion may include two angled tabs 14 extending outward from the bottom wall 12 intended to be fixed to a vertical wall of the vertical support, ensuring an offset between the bottom wall and the vertical wall, along a depth direction of the groove.
[0061] The angled legs 14 can be obtained by folding the sheet metal forming the cage. A fold line, substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the groove, delimits the bottom wall 12 and a proximal end of the angled leg 14. The angled leg 14 then extends substantially horizontally away from the bottom wall, following a first portion of the leg that provides the deposit. Another fold line delimits a second portion of the angled leg, at a right angle to the first portion. This second portion 15 has a fixing hole OR and preferably extends parallel to the bottom wall. The two second portions 15 of the angled legs are coplanar, configured to bear against the vertical wall of the vertical support.
[0062] In general, the two OR ports can be oblong ports, the oblong ports being directed in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the groove, the ports configured to allow adjustment of the height of said anti-reversal device 1 relative to the vertical support SV.
[0063] The length of the oblong orifices can be greater than 1 cm, or even greater than 2 cm, or even greater than 3 cm.
[0064] In general, and as illustrated by the following examples of figures 1 And 3 , the upper wall 10, the lower wall 11 and the bottom wall 12 forming the longitudinal housing, and more generally the cage, and preferably the attachment portion including the holes for the fixing devices, form a single component obtained from a pre-cut and folded sheet.
[0065] When the closing mechanism includes the hinged flap, the flap may include a hinge shaft integral with the flap, or two coaxial studs, the ends of the hinge shaft, or the two coaxial studs being axially projecting, configured to pivot in lugs, at the longitudinal ends of the longitudinal housing LG.
[0066] The ears can be obtained by bending the folded sheet metal, with two sheet metal extensions forming two flanges, parallel to each other, the flanges having openings for the two coaxial studs, or the longitudinal ends of the shaft.
[0067] This disclosure further relates to equipment comprising a wheeled container CR having a handle PG projecting laterally, a floor S on which the container is configured to be moved on its wheels, and an anti-rollover device 1 according to this disclosure, fixed to a vertical support SV, such as a wall or furniture, at a corresponding height of the handle PG of the wheeled container CR.
[0068] The height is such that the horizontal bar of the handle is configured to be inserted into the housing of the anti-rollover device, through the side opening OL, by rolling the wheeled container on the ground, and then immobilized in the cage by the passage of the closing means 13 from the open state EO to the closed state EF.
[0069] The height of the longitudinal housing LG relative to the floor can typically be between 90 cm and 115 cm, such as 102 cm.
[0070] For certain configurations of CR wheeled containers, the horizontal bar forming the handle may have two discontinuous horizontal bar portions intended to be gripped by the cage of the anti-rollover device, with the presence of an intermediate OBT obstacle between a first PG1 portion of the PG1 bar of the handle and a second PG2 portion of the bar.
[0071] For example, and as illustrated in the figure 6 , some containers have a handle which includes the first portion PG1 of bar and the second portion PG2 of bar, aligned in a horizontal direction, and provided with a gap between the two portions.
[0072] A CV cover of the CR wheeled container is hinged along an axis passing through the axis of the first bar portion and the second bar portion the handle, by means of hinges of the CV cover, and typically two hinges hinged respectively externally to the first portion and the second portion, on either side of the bars of the two portions, but also by an intermediate CHR hinge of the container, which is hinged between the first portion PG1 and the second portion PG2.
[0073] In such a case, a single cage-type anti-tipping device cannot be positioned to lock the handle, in the closed state (EF), either to accommodate the first bar section (PG1) or the second bar section (PG2), and according to a position of the anti-tipping device offset along the direction of the handle relative to a median plane of the container. Such a position of the retaining device is not ideal for absorbing and limiting the shearing of the handle, a typically plastic component, when a force is applied to the container while the handle is blocked by the anti-tipping device.
[0074] We now describe a second embodiment, illustrated in particular by the figures 4, 4A , 4b 5 and 5A with two cages Ca1, Ca2 or a third embodiment illustrated in particular according to the figures 8 à 9 which improve the situation compared to this first single-cage embodiment, by allowing the first portion PG1 and the second portion PG2 to be blocked simultaneously in the two cages Ca1, Ca2.
[0075] Such a two-cage anti-rollover device Ca1, Ca2 comprises: - a first cage Ca1 comprising an upper wall 10, a lower wall 11, a bottom wall 12 delimiting a groove forming a first longitudinal housing LG1 for a first portion PG1 of a horizontal bar of the handle, the groove having a lateral opening OL to allow the insertion of the first portion of the horizontal bar of the handle into the groove or, conversely, to allow the extraction of the first portion of the horizontal bar from the groove, by rolling the container on the ground on its wheels, - a first closing means 131 configured to pass: -- from an open state EO of the lateral opening OL allowing the insertion of the first portion of the horizontal bar into the first longitudinal housing through said lateral opening OL, or allowing the extraction of the first portion of the horizontal bar from the first longitudinal housing,- a closed state EF of the lateral opening ensuring immobilization of the first portion of the handle bar held captive by the first closing means 131 in the first cage Ca1, - a second cage Ca2 comprising an upper wall 10, a lower wall 11, a bottom wall 12 delimiting a groove forming a second longitudinal housing LG2 for a second portion PG2 of a horizontal handle bar, the groove having a lateral opening OL to allow the insertion of the second portion of the horizontal handle bar into the groove or, conversely, to allow the extraction of the horizontal bar from the groove, by rolling the container on the ground on its wheels,- a second closing means 132 configured to transition: -- from an open state EO of the lateral opening OL allowing the insertion of the first horizontal bar portion into the second longitudinal housing LG2 through said lateral opening OL, or allowing the extraction of the first horizontal bar portion from the longitudinal housing, -- from a closed state EF of the lateral opening ensuring immobilization of the second bar portion of the handle held captive by the second closing means 132 in the second cage Ca2. ,
[0076] Notably, the first cage Ca1 and the second cage Ca2 are braced leaving a free clearance DG, between the first longitudinal housing LG1 and the second longitudinal housing LG2.
[0077] Generally, and according to a first possibility, the first cage Ca1 and the second cage Ca2 can be formed from a single, monobloc component, as illustrated for example according to the embodiment in the figure 4 until the figure 5B . Such a one-piece embodiment facilitates installation, but does not allow adjustment of the spacing between the first cage Ca1 and the second cage Ca2.
[0078] According to a second possibility, the first cage Ca1 and the second cage Ca2 can be formed from two separate components, allowing in particular an adjustment of the spacing between the two cages Ca1 and Ca2, and as illustrated in the embodiment of figures 7 et 8 .
[0079] In particular, the first cage Ca1 and the second cage Ca2 can be spaced along the direction of the first and second housings by a distance typically between 80 mm and 120 mm for a two-wheeled container, and even further apart, typically between 500 mm and 1000 mm, for a four-wheeled container. According to the inventor's findings, such a spacing of the cages along the direction of the housings LG1 and LG2 makes it possible to secure most wheeled containers, even those with an obstruction OBT in an intermediate position that then fits into the free clearance DL, when the first and second bar sections are secured by the first and second locking means 131 and 132, in the closed state EF, respectively in the first housing LG1 and the second housing LG2.
[0080] Preferably, and according to a notable preferred feature, the first locking means 131 and the second locking means 132 can be linked by a mechanical linkage LI passing over the free clearance DG and the upper walls 11 of the first cage Ca1 and the second cage Ca2. Advantageously, the mechanical linkage LI can be manipulated with one hand during an unlocking operation to simultaneously move the first locking means 131 and the second locking means 132 from the closed state EF to the open state EO. This advantageously facilitates the unlocking operations.
[0081] According to one embodiment, notably illustrated in figures 4 And 5The two-cage anti-rollover device is self-supporting, with the first cage Ca1 and the second cage Ca2 joined together by a wall extending from the bottom walls 12 of both cages Ca1 and Ca2. In other words, the first cage Ca1 and the second cage Ca2 can be braced by a wall 120 extending from the bottom wall 12 of the first cage Ca1 and the bottom wall 12 of the second cage Ca2, defining a bottom of the free clearance DG between the first cage Ca1 and the second cage Ca2.
[0082] According to one embodiment, in particular illustrated in the figure 4A , the intermediate wall 120, arranged as an extension between the bottom walls 12 of the first and second cages Ca1 Ca2, can extend over the entire height of the bottom walls of cages Ca1 and Ca2.
[0083] According to another, advantageous embodiment, the intermediate wall 120 extends only over the upper portions of the bottom walls 12 of cages Ca1 and Ca2, and so that the lower portions of the bottom walls 12 are without an extension wall, and as illustrated by way of example in the figure 4A bis. The notch delimited between the two bottom walls 12 and the intermediate wall 120 limits the risks of interference with the container, and in particular an OBT obstacle between the first portion PG1 and the second portion BG2 of the handle; as described below.
[0084] According to another embodiment, notably illustrated in figures 7 et 8 , the first cage Ca1 and the second cage Ca2 are independent, and not joined together by their bottom wall12.
[0085] In general: - the groove formed by the upper wall 10, the lower wall 11 and the bottom wall 12 extends lengthwise over the first longitudinal housing LG1 over a distance between 40 mm and 120 mm, and in particular between 50 mm and 100 mm such that 70 mm; - the groove formed by the upper wall 10, the lower wall 11 and the bottom wall 12 extends lengthwise over the second longitudinal housing LG2 over a distance between 40 mm and 120 mm, and in particular between 50 mm and 100 mm such that 70 mm.
[0086] Generally, a section of the first housing (LG1) and a section of the second housing LG2 are configured to receive a horizontal bar with a diameter between 25 mm and 35 mm, for example 30 mm.
[0087] According to one embodiment: - the first closing means 131 comprises a mechanism having a first hinged flap, configured to retract from the closed state EF to the open state EO by an insertion action of the first portion PG1 of the horizontal bar pushing the first flap, the first flap configured to automatically switch from the open state EO to the closed state EF, once the horizontal bar in the housing has released the first flap, said first flap closing the lateral opening OL by holding the first portion of the handle captive in the first cage, - the second closing means 132 comprises a mechanism having a second hinged flap configured to retract from the closed state EF to the open state EO by an insertion action of the second portion PG2 of the horizontal bar pushing the second flap, the second flap configured to automatically switch from the open state EO to the closed state EF, once the second portion of the horizontal bar in the housing has escaped the second flap, said second flap closing the lateral opening OL while holding the second portion of the handle captive in the second cage Ca2. ,
[0088] The automatic tilting of the first flap and the tilting of the second flap from the open state EO to the closed state EF can typically be achieved by gravity alone, or even and especially, and especially typically in addition to the action of gravity, achieved by means of a spring and typically synchronized by the mechanical link LI.
[0089] The first flap is a hinged flap, pivoting along a pivot axis A, parallel to an axis of the groove, at the level of the upper wall 10 or the lower wall 11, said first flap being free to move from the closed state to the open state by pivoting in a first direction towards the inside of the groove, the first flap configured to pivot in a second direction until the flap is stopped in the closed state, and in particular the first flap is hinged at the level of the upper wall, the second flap is a hinged flap, pivoting along said articulation axis A, parallel to an axis of the groove, at the level of the upper wall 10 or the lower wall 11, said second flap free to move from the closed state to the open state by pivoting in a first direction towards the inside of the groove, the second flap configured to pivot in a second direction until the flap is stopped in the closed state, and in particular the second flap is hinged at the level of the upper wall.
[0090] The first and second shutters can automatically switch from the open state to the closed state under the action of one or more RT spring elements.
[0091] Alternatively, the first and second shutters automatically switch from the open to the closed state under the influence of gravity (only). In particular, and as illustrated in the figure 9 , a stop BT may be provided between the first flap assembly 131 and second flap assembly 132 and said mechanical link LI, said assembly being mounted to pivot relative to the first cage Ca1 and the second cage Ca2 around the axis A. Said stop BT limits the rotation to the opening of said assembly in the open state EO of the flaps, so that the center of gravity of the flap assembly 131, 132 and mechanical link LI is arranged relative to the axis A in an unstable position, in the open state, and so as to tilt said assembly in the direction of closing the flaps, solely by gravity.
[0092] In other words, the BT stop prevents the said assembly from rotating into a stable position for which gravity constrains the said assembly and its flaps in the open state EO.
[0093] Alternatively, switching from the open state to the closed state is not automatic and requires operator manipulation of the mechanical linkage.
[0094] The anti-rollover device may include a portion of attachment having at least two OR holes for fasteners, such as screws, the holes offset along the direction of the longitudinal housings, the fixing holes configured for fixing the anti-rollover device to a vertical wall ensuring a positioning of the housing along a horizontal direction, in particular said portion of attachment including the bottom wall 12 of the first cage Ca1 and the bottom wall 12 of the second cage Ca2, or even the wall 120 in extension.
[0095] The bottom walls 12 of the two cages Ca1 and Ca2 and the intermediate extension wall 120 can form a fixing plate intended to be fixed to a vertical wall ensuring the positioning of the first housing LG1 and the second housing LG2 in a horizontal direction and in particular according to the embodiment of figures 4 , 5 .
[0096] Alternatively, and when the two cages are designed as independent, according to the embodiment of figures 7 et 8 In particular, each of the two cages Ca1 and Ca2 can be fixed to a vertical wall, by supporting their bottom wall 12.
[0097] The attachment portion may include legs 16 bearing the openings OR legs extending from the bottom walls 12 of the first cage Ca1 and the second cage Ca2, projecting above and below the first cage Ca1 and the second cage Ca2. For example, two legs 16 extend from the bottom wall 12 respectively above and below the first cage Ca1, and two other legs extend above and below the second cage Ca2, in particular, whether this is the embodiment of the figures 4 And 5 for which the two cages form a single, self-supporting component, or the embodiment of figures 7 et 8 for which the two cages are independent.
[0098] In general, the two OR ports can be oblong ports, the oblong ports directed in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the groove, configured to allow adjustment of the height of said anti-rollover device.
[0099] According to one embodiment, the upper wall 10, the lower wall 11, and the bottom wall 12 forming the first longitudinal housing LG1, and the upper wall 10, the lower wall 11, and the bottom wall 12 forming the second longitudinal housing LG2, as well as the extending wall 120 (and preferably the attachment portion including the holes for the fasteners), form a single component obtained from a pre-cut and folded sheet metal. Such an embodiment, where the two cages form a single-piece component (as illustrated in the embodiments of figures 4 And 5 ) makes installation easier.
[0100] Thus, the bottom wall 12 of the first cage Ca1, and the bottom wall 12 of the second cage, and the intermediate wall 120 brace the two cages are coplanar and form the fixing plate, typically with the tabs 16 bearing the orifices OR which are arranged above and below the cages Ca, and Ca2 and extend in the same plane.
[0101] According to another embodiment: the upper wall 10, the lower wall 11 and the bottom wall 12 of the first cage forming the first longitudinal housing LG1 and preferably the attachment portion in particular the tabs 16 having the fixing holes of the first cage form a first component in one piece obtained from a pre-cut and folded sheet metal, - - the upper wall 10, the lower wall 11 and the bottom wall 12 of the first cage forming the second longitudinal housing LG2 and preferably the attachment portion in particular the tabs 16 having the fixing holes of the second cage form a second component in one piece obtained from a pre-cut and folded sheet.
[0102] Generally, the upper wall 10 and the lower wall 11 of each cage Ca1 or Ca2 can be obtained by two lines of folds, with a first fold between the upper wall 10 and an upper edge of the bottom wall 12, and a second fold between the lower wall 11 and a lower edge of the bottom wall (see the embodiment of the figures 4 And 5 or even that of the figures 7 et 8 ).
[0103] It is noted that the upper legs 16 extending above cages Ca1 and Ca2 can be obtained by cutting material from the upper walls 10, while the lower legs 16 extending below cages Ca1 and Ca2 can be obtained by cutting material from the lower walls 11 (see the embodiment of the figures 4 And 5 or even that of the figures 7 et 8 ).
[0104] When the closing mechanism has two hinged flaps (first and second), each flap may have a hinge shaft fixed to the flap, or two coaxial studs, the ends of the hinge shaft, or the two coaxial studs being axially projecting, configured to pivot in lugs, at the longitudinal ends of the longitudinal housing, namely the first housing LG1 for the first flap, or the second flap for the second flap.
[0105] The ears can be obtained by bending the folded sheet metal, with two sheet metal extensions forming two flanges, parallel to each other, the flanges having openings for the two coaxial studs, or the longitudinal ends of the shaft.
[0106] The two flanges of the first housing LG1 can be obtained by folding downwards the two lateral edges of the upper wall 10 of the first cage Ca1, and the two flanges of the first housing LG2 can be obtained by folding downwards the two lateral edges of the upper wall 10 of the second cage Ca2. The two flanges of the first housing LG1 (or of the second housing LG2) have openings for the articulation shaft.
[0107] According to an advantageous embodiment, and in particular when the first cage and the second cage form a single-piece component, the first flap of the first closing means 131, the second flap of the second closing means 132 and the connection L1 can be formed by a single-piece component obtained from a pre-cut and folded sheet metal ( figure 4 notably).
[0108] According to another possible embodiment, the LI mechanical link can be designed as an added element (see figure 4B in particular), fixed to the first and second panels. In particular, the first panel can be a first sheet of cut and bent metal, the second panel a second sheet of bent and cut metal, and the mechanical link a third sheet of bent metal.
[0109] In the case of a one-piece manufacturing process using a single sheet of metal, as illustrated in figures 4 And 5, we note that the first and second panels extend in the same plane, and that the mechanical link 11 joining the first and second panels includes a portion of the sheet metal which is folded relative to the plane of the panels, and contained in a plane inclined relative to the plane of the panels, in particular at a right angle.
[0110] In the case of a manufacture where the mechanical link LI is referred to the first and second flaps. It is noted that the first flap can include a folded sheet comprising a first portion opening or closing the lateral opening OA respectively in the open state EO and in the closed state, and a second portion inclined at 90° to the first portion extending above the upper wall 10 in the open state of the flap.
[0111] It is further noted that each flap (first or second) may include tabs bent at right angles to the flap plane, the tabs positioned opposite the flanges of the upper wall 10. The hinge pin passes through the tabs of each flap and the flanges to ensure the articulation of the first flap (respectively, second flap) with respect to the upper wall 10 of the first cage (respectively, of the second cage Ca2). Each hinge shaft (of the first or second flap) may include a rod with an enlarged head or a clevis pin. The rod is inserted simultaneously through the flanges of the cage (first or second) and the flap tabs, until the enlarged head is abutted against one side of the cage, while the opposite end of the rod protrudes from the other flange. The rod can be locked in position by adding a fastener, such as a nut that engages with a threaded end of the rod.The fastening element can also be a pin inserted into a transverse hole in the rod, or an external elastic ring, preferably locking into a groove in the rod. According to the independent cage embodiment, the first cage Ca1 and the second cage Ca2 can be formed respectively by two independent components, and the mechanical link LI can be formed by a component attached to the first closing means 131 and to the second closing means 132, in particular a link between the first and second flaps.
[0112] The mechanical linkage is fixed to the closing means 131, 132, in particular to the shutters, by removable fastening means. The fastening means may include, in particular, openings between the shutter (first or second) and the mechanical linkage through which a fastening element, such as a bolt, rivet, or other fastener, passes.
[0113] According to one embodiment, the mechanical linkage LI may include means for adjusting the spacing between the first cage Ca1 and the second cage Ca2, and in particular several adjustment openings distributed along a longitudinal direction of said mechanical linkage, selectively allowing several mounting positions between the mechanical linkage and the first closing means 131, and / or several mounting positions between the mechanical linkage and the second closing means 132. Such an embodiment is illustrated in the figure 7 ou 8 .
[0114] Such an embodiment is advantageous compared to the monobloc embodiment of the figure 4 in that it allows for adjustment of the spacing between the two cages Ca1, Ca2, and thus enables adaptation to all sizes of wheeled containers, particularly narrow widths for two-wheeled containers, or wide widths for four-wheeled containers. The mechanical link LI, when excessively long, can be shortened so that it does not extend beyond the cages, i.e., beyond the sides of the cages opposite the free clearance DG.
[0115] According to one embodiment (not illustrated), the added mechanical link may longitudinally comprise a first part and a second part.
[0116] The first piece is fixed to the first closing means 131, in particular to the first flap, by at least one of the first fixing means, at the level of a first end of the first piece.
[0117] The second piece is fixed to the second closing means 132, in particular to the second flap, by at least one second of the fixing means, at the level of a first end of the second piece.
[0118] The first and second parts can be fixed to each other at their second ends, extending from one another, in various positions, particularly by a third fastening means, so as to allow adjustment of the length of the resulting mechanical link LI formed by the combination of the two parts. For this purpose, the first and / or second part may have adjustment holes, or at least one oblong hole, allowing such adjustment.
[0119] This disclosure further relates to a kit for obtaining such a rollover protection device, which, in its disassembled state, comprises: the first cage Ca1, on which is possibly pre-mounted the first closing means 131, in particular the first flap via a first rotation shaft, the second cage Ca2, on which is possibly pre-mounted the second closing means 132, in particular the first flap via a first rotation shaft, the mechanical link 11 which may be in one piece or comprising the first part and the second part preferably in the disassembled state.
[0120] During assembly, the user can adjust the spacing between the first cage Ca1 and the second cage Ca2, specifically according to the dimensions separating the first section PG1 and the second section PG2, before attaching the mechanical link LI to the first locking means 131 articulated to the first cage, specifically to the first flap, and to the second locking means 132 articulated to the second cage, specifically to the second flap. The mechanical link LI can optionally be trimmed so that it does not extend beyond the cages Ca1 and Ca2. Alternatively, when the mechanical link results from the joining of two parts (first part and second part), the two parts can be assembled by adjusting the length of the mechanical link, as explained above.
[0121] A two-piece mechanical linkage design reduces the kit's overall size, especially for long mechanical links, as the two parts of the kit's mechanical linkage are preferably disassembled. This also allows the linkage length to be adjusted by assembling the two parts, thus eliminating the need for cutting.
[0122] This disclosure further relates to equipment comprising a wheeled container CR having a laterally projecting handle having a first horizontal bar portion PG1 and a second horizontal bar portion PG2, a floor on which the container is configured to be moved on its wheels, and an anti-rollover device 1 according to this disclosure with two cages Ca1, Ca2, fixed to a vertical support, such as a wall or furniture, at a corresponding height of the handle of the wheeled container, such that the first horizontal bar portion PG1 of the handle and the second horizontal bar portion PG2 are configured to be inserted respectively into the first longitudinal slot LG1 of the first cage Ca1 and into the second longitudinal slot LG2 of the second cage Ca2 of the anti-rollover device, through the lateral openings OL, by rolling the wheeled container on the floor, then the first and second portions PG1, PG2 are immobilized in the cage by the passage of the first closing means 131 and the second closing means 132 from the open state EO to the closed state EF.,
[0123] The vertical support can be a wall, stakes to be cemented in, or even a rigid wire mesh on which the holding device can be fixed, using a clamping plate.
[0124] Generally, even when the first section PG1 and the second section PG2 are secured in the first compartment LG1 and the second compartment LG2, the lid of the wheeled container can still be opened. The anti-tipping device does not prevent the lid from opening or closing, especially when the lid pivots around the handle's axis. The wheeled container can always be loaded through its top opening, even when secured by the anti-tipping device on its handle.
[0125] According to one embodiment, the handle of the wheeled container CR has an intermediate obstacle OBT between the first portion PG1 of horizontal bar and the second portion of horizontal bar PG2, such as a reinforcement extending between a wall of the container and the horizontal bar, or an intermediate hinge CHR of a lid CV of the container, pivoting to the handle between said first portion of horizontal bar and the second portion of horizontal bar.
[0126] Advantageously and in the closed states EF of the first closing means 131 and the second closing means 132 immobilizing the first portion of bar PG1 and the second portion of bar PG2 respectively in the first cage Ca1 and the second cage Ca2, said intermediate obstacle OBT, (in particular the intermediate hinge CHR) is housed in the free clearance DG between the first cage Ca1 and the second cage Ca2 and while the mechanical link L1 extends astride said obstacle OBT.
[0127] According to one embodiment, the mechanical linkage LI extends along the length of the free clearance. The closed position EF, above the clearance, can be arranged, when viewed along the depth direction of the LG1 and LG2 housings, to be offset rearward relative to the flaps, namely towards the bottom walls 12. This advantageously allows the wheeled container's cover CV to always be opened, even when it is secured by locking the first portion PG1 in the first cage and the second portion PG2 in the cage, and while the intermediate hinge CHR is housed in the free clearance DL. Offsetting the mechanical linkage 11 rearward allows the cover to be opened without the intermediate hinge CHR interfering with the mechanical linkage LI when pivoting with the cover CV during the cover's opening.
[0128] For example, we notice at the figure 4 that the mechanical link LI is offset towards the rear, in the direction of the bottom 12, by an offset Δ with respect to the axis of rotation A of the flaps, and following the depth direction of the housings LG1, LG2.
[0129] According to one embodiment, the height of the first and second longitudinal housing relative to the ground is between 90 cm and 115 cm such that 102 cm.
[0130] Thus, the anti-tipping device may offer all or some of the following advantages: 1. Increased safety: The device effectively immobilizes the wheeled container, preventing it from being overturned by animals or adverse weather conditions. 2. Ease of use: The handle can be inserted and removed without lifting the container, thanks to an automatic locking mechanism that simplifies the operation. 3. Robustness: The design with two cages and independent locking mechanisms ensures a solid and reliable immobilization of the handle. 4. Adaptability: The device is compatible with various types of containers, whether they have two or four wheels, and can accommodate handles of different diameters. 5. Easy installation: Installation is quick and easy on a vertical surface such as a wall. 6. Flexible installation: The oblong mounting holes allow for height adjustment, facilitating installation on various vertical supports. 7.Optimized design: The mechanical linkage between the closing means allows for synchronized operation, making the device practical and quick to use.
