Abstract

The invention relates to a locking bolt attachment for reinforcing the locking of a window or door sash to a frame. A hardware assembly includes a sliding drive rod assembly. A locking element of the drive rod assembly can be retracted by operating a handle to allow the window or door to be opened, or extended to fix the sash to the frame in a closed position. The drive rod assembly has a locking bolt to which an additional bolt is coupled. The additional bolt and the locking element move in the same direction over the same distance. A common strike plate for the additional bolt and the locking element can be provided on the frame. The additional bolt secures the sash to the frame in the closed position in addition to the locking element. This is particularly useful for windows or doors with two sashes but without a central mullion on the frame. The additional bolt is preferably housed in a casing. Hardware arrangements that can also be used without the bolt attachment, depending on the application, can then be reinforced particularly efficiently by additionally attaching the bolt attachment to withstand higher loads.

Description

Background of the invention

[0001] The invention relates to a fitting arrangement for a sash of a window or door, comprising a strike plate rail arrangement and a drive rod arrangement movable in a longitudinal direction behind the strike plate rail arrangement with a first locking pin, wherein a locking element of the drive rod arrangement can be retracted in the longitudinal direction behind an end piece of the faceplate rail arrangement or extended beyond the end piece.

[0002] Such a fitting arrangement is known from GB 2 562 849 A.

[0003] To keep the sash of windows or doors in a closed position against a frame, it is generally known to use a drive rod to bring a locking element movable in a vertical direction on a vertical mullion of the sash into a rear engagement with a strike plate on a horizontal mullion of the frame.

[0004] Furthermore, double-leaf windows and doors are known in which a common building opening, lacking a central mullion, can be closed and opened by the two leaves. When both leaves are open, the entire building opening remains open without interruption. Typically, the first leaf must be closed and opened last; this leaf is also referred to as the passive leaf. The second leaf must be opened and closed last; this leaf is also referred to as the active leaf. The passive leaf, in particular, is often simply held in the closed position by the frame as described above. Due to the limited cross-section of the locking element, increased security requirements often cannot be met.

[0005] A drive rod of the fitting known from GB 2 562 849 A has a point which, depending on the position of the drive rod, is either recessed behind a corner element of a mullion rail or projects beyond the corner element. A locking bolt is attached to the drive rod. Furthermore, an additional part is riveted to the drive rod. One point of the additional part is offset perpendicular to the sash plane relative to the point of the drive rod. Depending on whether the point of the drive rod or the point of the additional part engages a strike plate on a frame, a sash can be held in a closed position or a slightly open night-ventilation position.

[0006] US Patent 11,585,122 B2 discloses a double-leaf sliding door with a drive rod arrangement. A receiving body encompasses a corner region of one of the sliding leaves. A locking bolt is guided on the receiving body and is displaceable by means of a locking pin of a drive rod that engages in a recess of the locking bolt. A strike plate for engagement of the locking bolt is attached to an upper horizontal mullion of the frame.

[0007] From GB 2 439 212 A and GB 2 362 424 A, another fitting with a movable connecting rod is known. The connecting rod can carry several locking bolts. At one end, a first locking bolt is coupled to the connecting rod via interlocking teeth. At the other end, another locking bolt is coupled to the connecting rod via a gear mechanism, so that the two locking bolts move in opposite directions when the connecting rod is moved.

[0008] A window without a sill plate is known from DE 10 2008 031 877 B4. An anti-burglary device, which encompasses a corner section of a locking bar fitting, can be clipped onto a locking bolt of the locking bar fitting. The anti-burglary device has a section that can be inserted into a strike plate.

[0009] Another window without a sash is known from DE 20 2007 011 699 U1. A first sash has a movable locking piece that interacts with a locking element of a second sash when the window is in a locked position.

[0010] DE 20 2009 007 430 U1 describes a hardware system for double-leaf, sash-free windows, in which different locking and opening configurations can be set by rotating a drive element. In a single-tilt configuration, the active sash can be tilted individually. In a double-tilt configuration, both sashes can be tilted together. Object of the invention

[0011] It is an object of the invention to improve the burglary resistance of windows or doors, especially when two sashes are provided without a mullion. Description of the invention

[0012] This problem is solved according to the invention by a fitting arrangement according to claim 1, a sash according to claim 15, a locking arrangement according to claim 16 and a bolt attachment according to claim 20. Advantageous embodiments are specified in the description and the respective dependent claims. Fitting arrangement according to the invention

[0013] According to the invention, a hardware arrangement is provided for a sash of a window or door. The hardware arrangement comprises a strike plate assembly and a drive rod assembly with a first locking bolt, which is movable in a longitudinal direction behind the strike plate assembly. The strike plate assembly can have one or more strike plates, which, in the installed state, are attached to the sash, in particular to a vertical mullion of the sash, and which overlap the drive rod assembly. In the installed state of the hardware, the drive rod assembly is located between the strike plate assembly and the vertical mullion of the sash.

[0014] A locking element of the drive rod assembly can be retracted longitudinally behind an end piece of the strike plate assembly and extended beyond the end piece. The movement of the locking element is effected by a movement of the drive rod assembly. The locking element can be integral with a drive rod of the drive rod assembly. Alternatively, the locking element can be a separate component coupled to the drive rod. The end piece can be integral with a strike plate of the strike plate assembly or a separate component for placement in a corner area of the sash. In the retracted position, the locking element remains behind an outer edge of the end piece. In the extended position, at least a section of the locking element projects beyond the end piece, particularly in the vertical direction. The extended locking element can engage with a strike plate attached to a frame. This provides a basic level of security against unauthorized opening of the sash with the hardware arrangement.

[0015] Directional terms such as vertical or horizontal refer to a mounted state, in particular where a sash with the fitting arrangement is in a closed position.

[0016] To move the connecting rod assembly, the fitting assembly can include a gearbox. The gearbox can convert a rotary movement of a handle into a longitudinal movement of the connecting rod assembly.

[0017] According to the invention, the fitting assembly comprises at least one first bolt attachment with a housing and an additional bolt guided in the housing. In the assembled state, the bolt attachment is located in the region of the end piece of the faceplate rail assembly. The housing guides the additional bolt along the vertical post or along the direction of extension of the drive rod.

[0018] As a rule, the housing does not protrude beyond the end piece in the extension direction of the locking element. Preferably, the housing is flush with the end piece. Alternatively, the housing could be recessed behind the end piece.

[0019] The auxiliary bolt has a recess for the engagement of the locking bolt. When the locking bolt engages in the recess (i.e., in the assembled state of the hardware), the auxiliary bolt and the drive rod assembly are coupled longitudinally. This transmits movement of the drive rod assembly to the auxiliary bolt. In other words, the engagement of the locking bolt in the recess of the auxiliary bolt couples longitudinal movements of the drive rod assembly and the auxiliary bolt.

[0020] The auxiliary bolt can be retracted behind the end piece, particularly into the housing, and extended beyond the end piece. In the retracted position, the auxiliary bolt remains behind the outer edge of the end piece; in particular, the auxiliary bolt can be completely enclosed within the housing. In the extended position, at least a section of the auxiliary bolt protrudes from the housing and extends beyond the end piece. The movement of the auxiliary bolt is effected by a movement of the drive rod assembly. The extended section of the auxiliary bolt can engage in a strike plate on a frame, in particular the same strike plate as the locking element. In this way, the security against unauthorized opening of the sash is increased by the hardware assembly. In particular, the effective cross-section of the auxiliary bolt for locking can be at least as large as the effective cross-section of the locking element. This significantly increases the resistance of the fitting arrangement to break-in attempts.

[0021] In the case of the passive wing of a two-wing locking arrangement without a mullion, the locking bolt, which is coupled to the additional bolt, cannot interact with the active wing because the passive wing is closed first and the locking bolt is moved into a locked position. Therefore, by providing the bolt attachment, no locking option is eliminated, but rather an additional locking mechanism is created.

[0022] Furthermore, the bolt attachment can enable the use of identical hardware arrangements on the active and passive sash while simultaneously increasing security.

[0023] The housing can have an outer part. Advantageously, the additional bolt is positioned between the outer part and the strike plate assembly. The outer part engages the additional bolt on its side facing away from the strike plate assembly. Thus, in the assembled state, the outer part secures the additional bolt to the strike plate assembly. At the same time, this reduces the accumulation of dirt in the area of the movable additional bolt.

[0024] The housing can have an inner part with a longitudinal recess for the locking bolt to pass through. Advantageously, the inner part is positioned between the auxiliary bolt and the strike plate assembly. The inner part can form a base on which the auxiliary bolt slides. The longitudinal recess has a greater extent in the longitudinal direction than transversely; it can also be described as an elongated slot.

[0025] A particularly advantageous feature is that the inner part is held to the outer part, especially by being locked into place. The additional bolt is then already held between the inner and outer parts before the bolt attachment is mounted on the strike plate assembly or the sash. This simplifies handling and installation. In particular, the bolt attachment can be kept as a separate assembly and easily installed when needed.

[0026] The inner part may have a breakable locking pin. The auxiliary bolt may have an alignment hole for the engagement of the locking pin during initial installation. In this way, the auxiliary bolt is initially fixed to the housing. Separate alignment of the auxiliary bolt with the locking bolt is unnecessary. It is sufficient to position the housing correctly. The locking bolt then automatically engages in the recess on the auxiliary bolt. The locking pin breaks off upon first use after initial installation. The fitting can then be moved with minimal resistance.

[0027] In one embodiment, the locking bolt has a smooth head. The recess in the auxiliary bolt can then be completely closed. Furthermore, the longitudinal recess in the inner part of the housing can be completely closed. This embodiment is particularly efficient to manufacture. The bolt attachment can be mounted axially along the locking bolt.

[0028] In an alternative embodiment, the locking bolt has a mushroom head that is thickened at its free end. The recess in the auxiliary bolt is open on one side transversely to the longitudinal direction. If provided, the longitudinal recess in the inner part of the housing is also open on one side transversely to the longitudinal direction. A mushroom head allows for a particularly high level of security. The recesses, open on one side, facilitate straightforward installation by sliding the bolt attachment transversely to the axial direction of the locking bolt, with the locking bolt being inserted into the open areas of the recesses.

[0029] The locking pin – smooth or, in particular, mushroom-shaped – can engage in a further longitudinal recess in the outer part. This allows the outer part of the housing to be additionally secured to the sash, making it more resistant to forced entry attempts.

[0030] In particular, the thickened end of the mushroom-shaped head of the locking bolt can protrude beyond the outer part of the housing. The outer part is then engaged by the thickened edges of the mushroom head. This further increases the mechanical strength of the assembly. The additional longitudinal recess in the outer part can be open on one side transversely to the longitudinal direction. This allows for straightforward installation as described above by sliding the bolt attachment transversely to the axial direction of the locking bolt.

[0031] At least one fastening screw can (when installed) pass through both the housing and the mullion rail assembly. This common fastening screw simplifies the installation of the hardware assembly on the sash. In particular, two (common) fastening screws can pass through both the housing and the mullion rail assembly. The housing, especially the outer part, and the mullion rail assembly typically have circular bores for the common fastening screw(s) to pass through. When installed, the fastening screws typically engage a vertical mullion of the sash. Additional fastening screws may be provided that pass through the mullion rail assembly but not the housing.

[0032] The additional bolt may have an elongated hole through which the fastening screw passes. The common fastening screw can then be located in the area of the additional bolt without impeding its movement. The elongated hole generally extends along the longitudinal direction with its greatest dimension.

[0033] The locking element can be a separate component from a drive rod in the drive rod assembly. The locking element can then be designed to be particularly robust, while the drive rod can be designed to save space and / or be flexible for corner deflection.

[0034] The locking bolt can be held on the (especially separate) locking element. The arrangement of the locking bolt on the locking element, and thus in the area of the end piece, allows for a longitudinally compact design of the bolt head.

[0035] The hardware assembly can include a strike plate that can be attached to a frame and features a retraction mechanism for the simultaneous engagement of the locking element and the auxiliary bolt. This shared retraction allows the locking element and the auxiliary bolt to be positioned close together, which improves stability. Furthermore, a single retraction mechanism within the strike plate can be manufactured more efficiently than two separate retractions.

[0036] The drive rod assembly can have a second locking pin which moves in the opposite direction to the first locking pin when the drive rod assembly is moved. In particular, one locking pin can be located at the top and the other at the bottom of the drive rod assembly. A second locking element of the drive rod assembly can be retractable in the longitudinal direction behind a second end piece of the strike plate assembly or extendable beyond the end piece.

[0037] The locking rod assembly can further include a second bolt attachment, the second additional bolt of which can be coupled to the additional locking pin. In this way, a particularly secure locking of a sash can be achieved with the hardware assembly at both ends of a vertical mullion.

[0038] The second additional bolt may have further features of the first bolt attachment described above. This also applies accordingly to the design of the drive rod arrangement and the faceplate rail arrangement.

[0039] The fitting arrangement can include a second locking piece that can be attached to a frame and has a retraction mechanism for a joint engagement of the second locking element and the second additional bolt. Inventive wing

[0040] The invention also relates to a sash for a window or door. The sash has a fitting arrangement according to the invention as described above. Advantageously, the fitting arrangement is arranged on a vertical mullion of the sash. Hinge components for a pivotal connection to a frame can be arranged on another vertical mullion of the sash. Inventive locking arrangement

[0041] The invention further relates to a locking arrangement with two leaves for closing a common, continuous building opening. In other words, it can be a double-leaf window or a double-leaf door without a mullion.

[0042] At least one of the wings, in particular the (passive) wing which must be closed first and opened last, has a fitting arrangement according to the invention as described above, which is advantageously arranged on a vertical frame.

[0043] The closure assembly may include a frame that surrounds the building opening.

[0044] A cantilever post can be attached to the vertical frame of the first (passive) sash, covering the mullion rail assembly and the locking bolt. Preferably, the cantilever post has an (outer) stop segment for the second sash. In this way, any gap between the two sashes can be covered and sealed on the outside when closed. The second (active) sash can have a further (inner) stop segment. In this way, any gap between the two sashes can be covered and sealed on the inside when closed.

[0045] In a further development, an additional locking piece is arranged on the flying post for the engagement of another locking pin of the second leaf. By engaging this additional locking pin, which is advantageously mushroom-shaped, the two leaves can be fixed together in the closed position to increase resistance against forced opening.

[0046] Alternatively, the second (active) sash can have a further fitting arrangement as described above, according to the invention. The second sash can then be locked to the frame particularly effectively. A mullion can also be provided in this embodiment. In this embodiment, the mullion does not have a strike plate for the additional locking bolt of the second sash, since the additional locking bolt interacts with the additional bolt attachment. Inventive locking device

[0047] Finally, the invention relates to a bolt attachment with a housing comprising an outer part and an inner part, between which an additional bolt is guided, the additional bolt having a recess for the engagement of a locking pin. The recess is designed such that movements of the locking pin and the additional bolt are coupled when the locking pin engages in the recess. The bolt attachment according to the invention may have further features of the bolt attachment described above in connection with the fitting arrangement according to the invention. The bolt attachment according to the invention can, in particular, be used as part of a fitting arrangement according to the invention described above.

[0048] Further features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the description, the claims, and the drawings. According to the invention, the features mentioned above and those further elaborated can each be used individually or in any suitable combination. The embodiments shown and described are not to be understood as an exhaustive list, but rather serve as examples for illustrating the invention. Detailed description of the invention and drawing

[0050] Figure 1 shows a double-leaf window 10. The two wings 12, 14 They serve to close or open a continuous, common building opening. 16. A fixed frame 18 surrounds the building opening 16. Wings 12 and 14 are connected by hinges. 19hinged to the frame 18. The first sash 12, here the right sash, must be closed first and opened last; sash 12 is also referred to as the passive sash. The second sash 14, here the left sash, must be closed last and opened first; sash 14 is also referred to as the active sash.

[0051] Wings 12 and 14 each have a fitting arrangement. 20, 22 which will be explained in more detail below. One handle each. 24, 26 It is used to move a connecting rod assembly. 28, which by means of a strike plate arrangement 30 on a vertical beam 34, 36 of the respective wing 12, 14 is guided. By turning the handles 24, 26, the respective connecting rod arrangement 28 can be moved longitudinally. 32 along the vertical spar 34, 36 of the respective wing 12, 14. The two vertical spars 34, 36 are adjacent to each other in the closed state.

[0052] On the first wing, 12, a flying post covers it. 38 the connecting rod assembly 28 and the faceplate rail assembly 30. The flying post 38 is attached to the vertical beam 34.

[0053] An outer stop segment 40 on the flying post 32 and an inner stop segment 42 On the second wing 14, when closed, they cover a gap between the two wings 12, 14. The stop segments 40, 42 also enforce the opening and closing sequence explained above.

[0054] Figure 2 Figure 1 shows an upper end of the hardware assembly 20 of the first sash 12 in a partially exploded view. The hardware assembly 20 has a locking bolt attachment. 44 open. An additional bar. 46 The bolt attachment 44 is (in the mounted state) connected to a locking pin. 48 coupled to the connecting rod assembly 28. The additional bolt 46 is in a housing. 50guided in the longitudinal direction 32.

[0055] Figure 3 shows the locking bolt attachment 44 in an exploded view.

[0056] The housing 50 has an external part 52, which here in cross-section is U-shaped, and an inner part 54 The outer part 52 can be a bent sheet metal part. The inner part 50 can be made of plastic. The additional locking bar 46 is located between the outer part 52 and in the inner part 54. The outer part 52 and the inner part 54 can be locked together, here via locking lugs. 56 on the inner part 54 and corresponding locking recesses 58 Exterior part 52.

[0057] To fix the additional bolt 46 during the initial assembly of the bolt attachment 44 on the sash 12, the inner part 54 has a breakable fixing nipple. 60 The additional bolt 46 has an alignment hole. 62to accommodate the fixing nipple 60. Upon first actuation of the additional locking bolt 46, the fixing nipple 60 breaks off from the inner part 54.

[0058] The additional bar 46 has a recess. 64 for engagement of the locking pin 48. The width of the recess in the longitudinal direction 32 is matched to the diameter of the locking pin 48 for an approximately backlash-free coupling. In this embodiment, the diameter of the locking pin 48 is enlarged at its free end in a mushroom-like shape; see also Figure 4 . The width of the recess 64 corresponds to the diameter of the locking pin 48 in the area which is arranged in the recess 64.

[0059] The recess 64 is open on one side transversely to the longitudinal direction 32, see also Figure 3 , to allow the bolt attachment 44 to be slid laterally onto the locking pin 48, compare Figure 5 , in which a mounting direction66 is marked.

[0060] The locking pin 48 also extends through the inner part 54 and the outer part 52 of the housing 50, compare Figure 4 The thickened end of the locking pin 48 is located outside the outer part 52. To allow movement of the locking pin 48 in the longitudinal direction 32, the outer part 52 and the inner part 54 each have a longitudinal recess. 68, 70 compare in particular Figure 3When the locking bolt 48 moves relative to the housing parts 52, 54 in the longitudinal direction 32, the auxiliary bolt 46 also moves by the same distance in the same direction. For mounting the bolt attachment 44 laterally, as previously explained, the longitudinal recesses 68, 70 are each open on one side, specifically at their lower ends. The recess 64 and the longitudinal recesses 68, 70 are open on the same side. The lateral opening of the recess 64 in the auxiliary bolt 46 corresponds to the lateral openings of the longitudinal recesses 68, 70 when the fixing nipple 60 engages in the alignment bore 62. In other words, the recess 64 and the longitudinal recesses 68, 70 are arranged in the same position in the longitudinal direction 32 for initial assembly.

[0061] Fastening screws are required for attaching the fitting assembly 20 to the vertical post 34. 72 provided which mounting holes 74in the housing 50, here in the outer part 52 and in the inner part 54, as well as in an end piece 76 the strike plate arrangement 30 extend through, compare Figures 2 , 3 and 4 . A lap rail closes off towards the middle area of the vertical beam 34. 77 the end piece 76 of the mullion rail arrangement 30, compare Figures 2 and 4 .

[0062] In order to allow the movement of the additional bolt 46 despite the penetration of the (here upper) fastening screw 72, the additional bolt 46 has an elongated hole. 78 on (compare in particular) Figure 3 The fastening screw 72 extends through the elongated hole 78 (see in particular the figure). Figure 4 The lower fastening screw 74 runs below the lower end of the additional bolt 46, regardless of its position.

[0063] In Figure 4It can be seen that the locking pin 48 is attached to a locking element 80 is held on a connecting rod 82 the connecting rod assembly 28 is attached. The connecting rod assembly 28 with the connecting rod 82 and the locking element 80 can be moved in the longitudinal direction 32 by turning the handle 24.

[0064] In the configuration of Figure 4 The locking element 80 is recessed behind an outer, here upper, edge of the end piece 76 of the strike plate assembly 30. Likewise, the additional bolt 46 is recessed behind the outer edge of the end piece 76 and into the housing 50. In this configuration, the sash 12 can be opened.

[0065] In the illustrated embodiment, the outer part 52 of the housing 50 is flush with the end piece 76. In particular, their respective outer edges, here the upper ones, are located at the level of the top of a horizontal beam. 84 of wing 12.

[0066] By turning the handle 24, the locking element 80 and the additional bolt 46 can be disengaged over the outer edge of the end piece 76, compare Figure 6 . The rotation of the handle 24 is converted into a longitudinal displacement of the drive rod 82 by a gear mechanism (not shown in detail). The longitudinal movement of the drive rod 82 is transmitted to the locking element 80 coupled to it. The auxiliary bolt 46 is coupled to the movement of the locking element 80, and thus also to the drive rod 82, via the engagement of the locking pin 48 in the recess 64.

[0067] The projecting sections of the locking element 80 and the additional bolt 46 can be incorporated into a (first) strike plate. 86 intervene, which is located on a, in this case upper, spar. 88 of the frame 18 is attached, compare Figure 7 . The locking piece 86 has a return mechanism. 90for a joint engagement of the locking element 80 and the additional bolt 46.

[0068] In Figure 7 For clarity, the sash 12 is shown open (flush with the frame 18). It is understood that the locking element 80 and the additional bolt 46 are typically only disengaged when the sash 12 is fully closed.

[0069] In window 10, the fitting arrangement 22 of the second sash 14 has an additional locking pin. 92 up, compare Figure 1 . In the locked and closed state of both leaves 12, 14, the locking bolt can be engaged with another locking piece by operating the handle 26. 94 to be brought, which is attached to the flying post 38 of the first wing 12.

[0070] A locking element of the fitting arrangement 22 of the second wing 14 (in Figure 1 (Concealed) can also be fitted into a second locking piece.96 engage at the upper mullion 88 of the frame 18, compare Figure 7 .

[0071] Figure 8 shows a double-leaf window 10a, which in many aspects corresponds to the previously described window 10. The differences are primarily described below; for further details, please refer to the description above.

[0072] In the first sash 12 of the window 10a, in addition to the first locking bolt 44 at the upper end of the vertical mullion 34, there is also a second locking bolt at the lower end of the vertical mullion 34. 44' coupled with a second (concealed) locking pin. In Figure 8 are the projecting sections of the two locking elements 80, 80' and the two additional bars 46, 46'to be recognized. It is understood that the locking elements 80, 80' and the additional bolts 46, 46' are typically only disengaged when the sash 12 is fully closed. A concealed gear mechanism of the fitting assembly 20 causes the two locking bolts to move in opposite directions when the handle 24 is turned. The second locking element 80' with the second locking bolt can be attached to a second drive rod (in Figure 8 ), which moves in the opposite direction to the first connecting rod 82.

[0073] The second wing 14 also has a fitting arrangement. 23 36 additional locking bolt attachments each at the top and bottom of the vertical post 98, 98' on, which with additional locking pins 92, 92' are coupled. The fitting arrangements 20, 23 of the two sashes 12, 14 can be identical in construction. Individual components may be mounted in different orientations.

[0074] Also on the lower spar 100 of the frame 18 are another first and another second locking piece 102, 104 provided for a joint engagement of the projecting locking elements 80' and additional bolts 46'.

[0075] Since the locking bolts 92, 92' of the second sash 14 are coupled with the additional bolts 46, 46' of the two further bolt attachments 98, 98', the flying mullion 38 of the window 10a does not have any further locking piece facing these locking bolts 92, 92' of the second sash 14.

[0076] It goes without saying that the same applies to the previously described window 10, compare Figure 1 , a second locking bolt attachment may be provided at the lower end of the vertical beam 34 (not shown in detail).

[0077] Figure 9 shows a fitting arrangement 20a, which in many aspects of the previously described fitting arrangement 20, compare in particular Figures 3, 4 and 6 , corresponds. The differences are primarily described below; for further details, please refer to the description above.

[0078] In fitting arrangement 20a, a locking bolt has 48a a smooth head. In other words, the diameter of the head of the locking pin 48a is constant over the height of the locking pin 48a. In particular, the head of the locking pin 48a is not thickened at the free end.

[0079] A bolt attachment 44a can therefore in the axial direction 106 along the axis of the locking pin 48a, they are placed onto the locking pin 48a. A corresponding recess is required. 64a in an additional bar 46aThe recess 64a is fully enclosed and designed here as a circular bore. Here too, the recess 64a serves to couple the additional bolt 46a with the drive rod assembly 28, in particular with its locking element 80, by the locking pin 48a engaging in the recess 64a.

[0080] Likewise, a longitudinal recess 70a is located in an inner part. 54a a housing 50 completely enclosed.

[0081] In fitting arrangement 20a, the locking bolt 48a extends through an outer part 52a of the case 50 not.

[0082] In summary, the invention relates to a locking bolt attachment for reinforcing the locking of a window or door sash to a frame. A hardware assembly includes a sliding drive rod assembly. A locking element of the drive rod assembly can be retracted by operating a handle to allow the window or door to be opened, or extended to fix the sash to the frame in a closed position. The drive rod assembly has a locking pin to which an additional bolt is coupled.
