Abstract
Description
[0001] Grooved longitudinal profile
[0002] The invention relates to a grooved construction profile with a longitudinal groove which has a special contour and provides various functions.
[0003] Construction profiles with longitudinal grooves are known as such from the state of the art and have proven themselves for the construction of frames, for example in handling technology or in exhibition stand construction.
[0004] There is often a requirement to connect additional construction profiles or other devices to both the end faces and the long sides of such construction profiles.
[0005] For this purpose, it is particularly known to provide construction profiles with longitudinal profiles which have an undercut, for example in the form of a T-slot, so that a slot nut can be inserted there for fastening on a longitudinal side, which forms a counter bearing for an anchor screw.
[0006] For example, WO 2022 / 096046 A1 describes a profile coupling arrangement in which the profiles to be coupled are designed in the same way and each have a longitudinal groove with an undercut. The described solution shows a possibility for both longitudinal and end-face coupling using such a longitudinal groove, whereby a milled recess must be provided for the end-face coupling.
[0007] Another form of a structural profile with a longitudinal groove with an undercut is also shown in DE 10 2007 010 118 A1. Here, four identical longitudinal grooves, each offset by 90 degrees, are provided on the long sides of a profile with a substantially square outer cross-section. The disadvantage here is the trapezoidal inner cross-section of the longitudinal grooves.
[0008] Confirmation copy Furthermore, WO 2019 / 223821 A1 describes a construction profile with a plurality of longitudinal grooves, each of which has an undercut and is arranged on the longitudinal and transverse sides of the profile in such a way that the central axes of all longitudinal grooves lie in a common plane of the construction profile.
[0009] The object of the invention is to provide a grooved construction profile which, while overcoming the disadvantages of the prior art, opens up the possibility of different types of connections to other profiles or devices, which can be produced cost-effectively and has a high load-bearing capacity.
[0010] The problem is solved by the features listed in patent claim 1. Preferred developments arise from the subclaims.
[0011] The grooved construction profile according to the invention has at least one longitudinal groove which is arranged on a longitudinal side of the profile.
[0012] The invention advantageously does not exclude the possibility that the construction profile can have further profile longitudinal sides on which further longitudinal grooves can be arranged, wherein these further longitudinal grooves can optionally also have the features of the longitudinal groove according to the invention or can be designed in a different way.
[0013] The construction profile is preferably but not necessarily an extruded profile and particularly preferably an aluminum extruded profile.
[0014] According to the invention, the longitudinal groove has a main groove section, a groove base section, and a first groove side indentation and a second groove side indentation. The main groove section has a first main section side wall and a second main section side wall. The first main section side wall and the second main section side wall are collectively referred to below as the main section side walls. The main section walls are arranged parallel to one another and preferably orthogonal to the surface of the profile's longitudinal side.
[0015] The groove base section has a partially circular groove base wall. The two main section side walls adjoin the groove base wall on either side. Preferably, the main section walls adjoin the groove base wall without any shoulders.
[0016] Furthermore, the longitudinal groove has a first and a second groove side recess, which are collectively referred to as the groove side recesses. The groove side recesses lie opposite one another on the main groove section. The first groove side recess penetrates the first main section side wall, and the second groove side recess penetrates the second main section side wall.
[0017] According to the invention, the groove side recesses are further shaped such that the first groove side recess forms a first undercut surface arranged transversely to the first main section side wall, as well as a first recess side surface. Accordingly, the second groove side recess forms a second undercut surface arranged transversely to the second main section side wall, and a second recess side surface. The first and second undercut surfaces are collectively referred to as the undercut surfaces, and the first and second recess side surfaces are collectively referred to as the recess side surfaces.
[0018] Preferably, the two undercut surfaces lie in a common plane, which is also referred to below as the undercut surface plane. Likewise, the two intake side surfaces preferably lie in another common plane, which is also referred to below as the intake side surface plane. The undercut surface plane and the intake side surface plane are preferably arranged plane-parallel to one another.
[0019] Advantageously, the solution according to the invention provides a universally applicable and, in particular, universally connectable construction profile.
[0020] In a first application, a shaped body can be inserted into the free space spanned by the two groove side recesses and the space of the main section located between the groove side recesses. This shaped body also has a partially circular contour opposite the groove base wall and thus, together with the groove base, defines a largely cylindrical interior into which a threaded sleeve or screw can be screwed from one end face of the structural profile. The shaped body is thereby pressed against the undercut surface and, by means of static friction, creates an axially acting force connection there so that high extraction forces can be applied to the threaded sleeve or screw. The threaded sleeve can serve as a reliable counterbearing for an anchor bolt. This is particularly advantageous because it provides a coupling option that enables a reliable connection with other construction profiles or a reliable fastening of other components without drilling, milling or other structural intervention in the grooved construction profile.
[0021] In a second application, a slot nut or the head of a hammer head screw can be inserted into the free space described here in a manner known per se, so that longitudinal fastenings are possible.
[0022] In a subsequent application, a strip-shaped cover can be inserted into the free space described here instead – for example, by inserting it from the front. This makes it possible, for example, to cover an electrical cable inserted in the groove base space spanned by the groove base section, securely fix it in place, and protect it from external influences.
[0023] Instead of a strip-shaped cover, an LED strip, for example, can be inserted and electrically connected at the back using the groove base space. A translucent cover with an LED tube arranged in the groove base space can also be advantageously used.
[0024] In a further application, the edge section of a flat element, such as a glass pane, can be inserted into the main groove section, possibly down to the groove base wall, so that an area enclosed by several construction profiles in a frame-like manner can be closed off flatly.
[0025] In a first advantageous development, the grooved construction profile is characterized in that the groove side recesses are arranged mirror-symmetrically to a main section center plane.
[0026] This symmetrical design makes it advantageous for shaped bodies, T-nuts and other means to be used universally and without the need to specify an orientation to the left or right.
[0027] According to a next advantageous development, the grooved construction profile is characterized in that the groove base wall is semicircular and that the main section side walls each adjoin the groove base wall tangentially.
[0028] According to a further advantageous development, the grooved construction profile is characterized in that a circular contour inscribed in the groove base wall is arranged at least in sections between a draw-in side surface plane formed by the draw-in side surfaces and an undercut surface plane formed by the undercut surfaces.
[0029] The two above-mentioned refinements advantageously support the creation of a circular interior for a threaded sleeve or screw inserted at the front. The circular contour is not a physical category, but rather a geometric tool for defining the shapes and positional relationships of the wall surfaces of the longitudinal groove.

[0038] Fig. 8 illustrates an example application with an inserted surface element in more detail. The same reference numerals in the various figures refer to the same features or components. These reference numerals are used in the description even if they are not shown in the respective figure.
[0039] In Fig. 1, the sections 3, 4, 5 and 6 as well as the surfaces 41, 51, 52, 61 and 62 of the longitudinal groove 1 are shown in more detail in a simple embodiment.
[0040] The longitudinal groove 1 is located on the profile longitudinal side 2 of the grooved construction profile.
[0041] The groove main section 3 leads from the groove opening located on the profile longitudinal wall 2 towards the groove base and is laterally delimited by the symmetrically formed first main section wall 31 and second main section wall 32.
[0042] In the direction of the groove base, the groove base section 4 is immediately adjacent, which is delimited by the curved and here semicircular groove base wall 41.
[0043] Furthermore, the first groove side recess 5 and the second groove side recess 6 are shown, laterally adjacent to the main groove section 3 on both sides. The first groove side recess 5 has, with the first undercut surface 51, a boundary arranged orthogonally to the first main section side wall 31 and, opposite this, the first recess side surface 52, which is plane-parallel. The first groove side recess 5 breaks through the first main section side wall 31, so that it has two surface sections, the first one on the groove opening side and the second one on the groove base side. In a corresponding manner, the second groove side recess 6 is also designed with mirror symmetry, with the second undercut surface 61 and the second recess side surface 62. Fig. 2 shows the design of the longitudinal groove 1, which is mirror symmetrical to the main section center plane 33.Furthermore, it is shown that the groove base wall 41 is formed with a semicircular contour and that the main section side walls 31, 32 adjoin it directly and tangentially on both sides. Furthermore, the circular contour 7 determined by the semicircular groove base wall is formed in this embodiment such that it is arranged in sections between the undercut surface plane 8 and the indentation side surface plane 9.
[0044] Fig. 3 shows an application example with a preformed body and a screw-in sleeve. The preformed body engages on both sides in the groove side recesses 5, 6, thus enabling force transmission via the undercut surfaces 51, 61. The preformed body has a partial circle contour facing the groove base wall 41, which, together with the groove base wall, provides a cylindrical interior into which a screw-in sleeve is screwed. This is thus anchored in the grooved structural profile in a pull-out-proof manner and enables the end-face coupling of additional components.
[0045] Fig. 4 shows an application example in which the longitudinal groove 1 is closed along its length with a cover profile. In this embodiment, the cover profile is designed to form a substantially flat surface on the profile's long side 2. This allows both visual requirements to be met and protection against dirt to be provided. Furthermore, the interior of the groove under the cover can optionally be used, for example, for cables.
[0046] Fig. 5 shows an application example in which a slot-slot-like screw strip with several internally threaded holes is embedded in the longitudinal groove 1, allowing longitudinal fastenings to be arranged thereon. Fig. 6 shows an application example of a connection using an M5 screw that engages a slot nut and can connect any component—shown schematically.
[0047] Fig. 7 shows an application example in which a cable is inserted into the space formed by the groove base section 4 and is secured in position, visually concealed and protected from damage and access by means of a strip-shaped cover which engages in the groove side recesses 5, 6.
[0048] Fig. 8 shows an application example in which a flat element is arranged in the interior of the groove main section 3 and is laterally locked by the main section side walls 31, 32.
