Description

[0001] The invention relates to an agricultural harvesting machine.

[0002] Agricultural harvesting machines are known in practice to be coupled to a towing vehicle and thus moved by being pulled by the vehicle. These towed agricultural harvesting machines are primarily forage harvesters, such as rakes or tedders.

[0003] DE 10 2020 106 804 A1 discloses a forage harvester designed as a merger or pickup belt rake. The forage harvester disclosed therein has a frame divided into two sections, with a chassis attached to a first section and a drawbar to a second section. The two sections can be moved relative to each other by means of a pivot cylinder, namely between a working position and a headland position. Booms are attached to the second section of the frame, to which the drawbar is attached, and working units are attached to the booms. In the working and headland positions, the working units extend transversely to the harvester. In the transport position, the working units extend longitudinally to the harvester.

[0004] When the agricultural harvesting machine of DE 10 2020 106 804 A1 is moved from the working position to the headland position, the booms and the working units attached to the booms are shifted parallel to and raised relative to the working position. In both the working position and the headland position, the working units extend in a horizontal direction.

[0005] There is a need for an agricultural harvesting machine that can be advantageously switched between the working position and the headland position. The object of the invention is to provide such an agricultural harvesting machine. This object is achieved by an agricultural harvesting machine according to claim 1.

[0006] The agricultural harvesting machine according to the invention has a frame or a rack which has a first section to which a chassis having a chassis axle is attached and a second section to which a drawbar is attached, wherein the two sections of the frame or rack can be displaced relative to each other by means of a hinge cylinder about a hinge axis extending in the transverse direction of the harvesting machine.

[0007] The agricultural harvesting machine according to the invention further comprises booms, wherein at least one boom on each side of the frame or frame engages the first section of the frame or frame, on which the chassis engages, in such a way that, for the purpose of transferring the harvesting machine between a working position in which the respective boom extends in the transverse direction of the harvesting machine and a transport position in which the respective boom extends in the pulling direction or longitudinal direction of the harvesting machine, the respective boom can be displaced relative to the first section of the frame or frame.

[0008] The agricultural harvesting machine according to the invention has working units, wherein at least one working unit engages each of the booms and can be moved together with the respective boom.

[0009] In the agricultural harvesting machine according to the invention, the articulation axis extending in the transverse direction of the harvesting machine, about which the first section and the second section of the frame or structure can be displaced relative to each other by actuating the articulation cylinder when transferring the harvesting machine between the working position and a headland position, in which the respective boom also extends in the transverse direction of the harvesting machine, is arranged or positioned in the direction of pull or longitudinal direction of the harvesting machine in such a way that, in this headland position, the working units run obliquely upwards from back to front in the direction of pull or longitudinal direction of the harvesting machine.

[0010] In the harvesting machine according to the invention, the booms and, via the booms, the working units do not engage the second section of the frame or structure where the drawbar engages, but rather the first section of the frame or structure where the chassis engages. This ensures that, in this headland position, the working units, viewed in the direction of travel or longitudinal direction of the harvesting machine, slope upwards from back to front. Thus, unlike in the prior art, they are not simply lifted from the ground by a parallel displacement relative to the working position, but are inclined relative to the horizontal direction, rising from back to front in the direction of travel or longitudinal direction. This allows the working units to be gently lifted from the ground to be worked when the harvesting machine is moved from the working position to this headland position.During the reverse transition from this headland position to the working position, the working units can be gently lowered onto the ground. The transfer of the agricultural harvesting machine between the working position and this headland position is accomplished simply by actuating the articulation cylinder, making the transition quick and reliable.

[0011] Preferably, the folding cylinder is retracted in the working position of the harvester and extended in this headland position. This is preferred for transferring the harvester between the working position and the transport position.

[0012] Preferably, the articulated cylinder is designed to shift the two sections of the frame or rack relative to each other in the harvester's working position, also for ground adaptation and / or ground relief of the working units. This allows for improved ground adaptation and ground relief, as well as advantageously simple adaptation of the harvester to different operating conditions.

[0013] Preferably, the chassis axle is steerable. The defined position of the working units in this headland position of the harvester, in which the working units, viewed in the direction of pull or longitudinal direction of the harvester, run diagonally upwards from back to front, creates an advantageous caster on the steering axle. This caster, when the steering is actuated, can slightly lift the outer side of the chassis, which tends towards the ground being worked due to inertia, away from the ground being worked.

[0014] Preferably, the agricultural harvesting machine is a forage harvester, in particular a merger or pickup-belt rake, wherein a pickup and a belt conveyor segment act as a working unit on each of the booms. The invention is preferably used in a merger.

[0015] Preferred embodiments of the invention are described in the dependent claims and the following description. Exemplary embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail with reference to the drawing, without being limited thereto. The drawing shows: Fig. 1 shows a side view of an agricultural harvesting machine according to the invention in its working position; Fig. 2 shows a side view of the agricultural harvesting machine according to the invention in a headland position.

[0016] The invention relates to an agricultural harvesting machine 10. The agricultural harvesting machine 10 is, in particular, a forage harvester that can be coupled to a towing vehicle (not shown) for towing. The harvesting machine 10 shown in the figures is a merger, also known as a pickup belt rake.

[0017] The agricultural harvesting machine 10 has a frame or chassis, the frame or chassis 11 being divided into two sections 11a and 11b. Section 11b of the frame or chassis has a longitudinal beam 12 extending in the longitudinal direction or direction of pull of the agricultural harvesting machine 10. A drawbar 13 attaches to the longitudinal beam 12 and serves to couple the agricultural harvesting machine 10 to the towing vehicle via a coupling bracket 14.

[0018] Then, when the harvesting machine 10 is coupled to the towing vehicle, a relative movement between the drawbar 13 and the coupling bracket 14 about an axis 15 extending in the vertical upward direction of the agricultural harvesting machine 10 is possible.

[0019] Furthermore, a relative movement between the coupling bracket 14 and the towing vehicle about an axis extending in a horizontal transverse direction is possible.

[0020] A chassis 16 with wheels 17 is attached to section 11a of the frame or chassis. The wheels 17 are rotatable about a chassis axle 18. When the agricultural harvesting machine 10 is being towed by a tractor, the wheels 17 of the chassis 16 rest on a surface and rotate about the chassis axle 18.

[0021] The agricultural harvesting machine 10 also has booms 19. On both sides of the frame or chassis 11, namely on both sides of section 11a of the frame or chassis 11, to which the chassis 16 attaches, at least one boom 19 attaches, in such a way that, for the purpose of transferring the harvesting machine 10 between a working position, in which the respective boom 19 extends in the transverse direction of the harvesting machine 10, and a transport position, in which the respective boom 19 extends in the direction of pull or longitudinal direction of the harvesting machine 10, the respective boom 19 can be displaced relative to section 11a of the frame or chassis 11.

[0022] The agricultural harvesting machine 10 also has working units 20. At least one working unit 20 engages each boom 19 and can be moved together with the respective boom 19, namely when transferring the harvesting machine 10 between the working position and the transport position and when transferring the harvesting machine 10 between the working position and a headland position.

[0023] In the illustrated embodiment, in which the agricultural harvesting machine 10 is designed as a merger, each working unit 20 has a pickup 21 and a conveyor belt segment 20. Furthermore, the figures show roller hold-down devices 23, which are arranged in front of the respective pickup 21 when viewed in the direction of pull or longitudinal direction of the harvesting machine, and a cover 24, which is positioned behind the conveyor belt segments 22 when viewed in the direction of movement of the agricultural harvesting machine 10.

[0024] According toFig. 1 , which shows the agricultural harvesting machine 10 in the working position, the working units 20 are supported in the working position via skids 25 on a surface to be worked.

[0025] As already explained, the frame or chassis 11 has two sections 11a and 11b, with the chassis 16 and, together with the boom 19, the working units 20 being attached to section 11a, and the drawbar 13 being attached to section 11b. These two sections 11a and 11b of the frame or chassis 11 of the agricultural harvesting machine 10 can be displaced relative to each other by means of a hinge cylinder 26 about an axis 27 extending in the transverse direction of the harvesting machine, namely when transferring the harvesting machine 10 between the Fig. 1 shown working position and the one in Fig. 2 The headland position shown, in which the working units 20 each extend in the transverse direction of the agricultural harvesting machine 10.

[0026] The axis 27, around which the two sections 11a, 11b are moved by means of the articulated cylinder 26 during the transfer of the agricultural harvesting machine 10 between the working position of the Fig. 1 and the headland position of the Fig. 2 which are movable relative to each other, are in this embodiment, viewed in the direction of pull or longitudinal direction of the harvesting machine, positioned in front of or on the boom 19, namely in the embodiment of the Fig. 1 approximately above a central plane 19a of the boom 19. This ensures that in the headland position of the harvesting machine 10 - according to Fig. 2 - the working units 20, viewed in the direction of travel or longitudinal direction of the harvesting machine 10, run diagonally upwards from back to front, i.e. not parallel to the orientation of the working units 20 in the working position of the harvesting machine 10 (see Fig. 1 ), but rather inclined to this orientation in the working position.

[0027] During the transfer of the agricultural harvesting machine 10 starting from the working position of the Fig. 1 into the headland position of the Fig. 2 This allows the work units 20 to be gently lifted from the surface being worked. Furthermore, during the transfer of the harvesting machine 10 from the Fig. 2 shown headland position into the in Fig. 1 In the working position shown, the work units 20 are gently placed on the surface to be processed.

[0028] This transfer of the harvesting machine 10 between the working position and the headland position to Fig. 2 This therefore takes place exclusively with the involvement of the folding cylinder 26. According to Fig. 1 The folding cylinder 26 is retracted into the working position and according to Fig. 2 Extended in the headland position.

[0029] In the headland position of the Fig. 2 The pivot axis 18 of the chassis 16 is closer to the coupling bracket 14, so that in this headland position the distance to the towing vehicle is reduced and therefore the maneuverability of the train is increased.

[0030] In addition to the headland positioning after Fig. 2 Additional actuators can be used to raise the work units further off the ground. These actuators could include, for example, those used to lift the main booms or those used to relieve the weight of the booms. This results in an additional headland position, which is created by superimposing the headland positions according to... Fig. 2 and the raising of the booms 19.

[0031] The chassis axle 18 is preferably steerable. When the harvester 10 is moved into the headland position, a caster effect is generated on the steering axle 18, which, when the steering is engaged, slightly lifts the outside side of the turn. This is advantageous because the outside side is more likely to be pulled towards the ground due to inertia. Lifting the axle from the ground is therefore beneficial to prevent a collision with the ground.

[0032] In the illustrated embodiment, the axis 27, around which the two sections 11a, 11b of the chassis or frame 11 can be folded relative to each other by means of the folding cylinder 26, is positioned approximately above the median plane 19a of the booms 19 when viewed in the direction of travel or longitudinal direction of the harvesting machine 10. It can also be positioned in front of the booms 19, in particular in front of pivot points between section 11a of the frame or frame and the booms 19 when viewed in the direction of travel or longitudinal direction of the harvesting machine 10. In this way, the booms 19 are articulated to section 11a of the frame or frame 11 in order to move the booms 19 relative to section 11a of the frame or frame between the working position and the transport position.

[0033] The transversely extending axis 27, about which the two sections 11a, 11b of the frame or chassis 11 can be pivoted or articulated relative to each other by means of the articulating cylinder 26, can be arranged in the middle or approximately in the middle between the pivot axis 15 between the drawbar 13 and the coupling bracket 14 and the chassis axle 18. If the axis 27 is arranged approximately in the middle between the pivot axis 15 between the drawbar 13 and the coupling bracket 14 and the chassis axle 18, then the distance x15 of the axis 27 from the pivot axis 15 between the drawbar 13 and the coupling bracket 14 is approximately the same as the distance x18 of the axis 27 from the chassis axle 18.

[0034] According to the invention, the axis 27 can be arranged in the direction of pull or longitudinal direction of the harvesting machine 10 such that the ratio x15:x18 is approximately between 50:50 and 75:25.

[0035] However, it is particularly preferred to arrange the axis 27, viewed in the direction of pull or longitudinal direction of the harvesting machine 10, such that the axis 27 is positioned approximately above the median plane 19a of the boom 19. That is, a perpendicular line drawn through the axis 27 in the working position of the harvesting machine 10 coincides approximately with the median plane 19a of the boom 19.

[0036] The articulating cylinder 26 can be configured to move the two sections 11a, 11b of the frame or chassis 11 relative to each other in the working position of the harvesting machine, also for ground adaptation and / or ground relief of the working units 20. This can be achieved by means of a continuous or constant control of the articulating cylinder 26. In the agricultural harvesting machine 10 according to the invention, therefore, only the articulating cylinder 26 is used for transferring the agricultural harvesting machine 10 between the working position and the headland position according to Fig. 2 used. If necessary, this articulated cylinder 26 also serves for ground adaptation and / or ground relief of the working units 20.

[0037] Due to the arrangement of the working units 20 on section 11a of the frame or structure 11, to which the chassis 16 also attaches, and due to the arrangement of the axis 27, about which the two sections 11a and 11b can be displaced relative to each other via the articulation cylinder 26, it is ensured that, in this headland position, the working units 20, viewed in the longitudinal direction or direction of pull of the harvesting machine 10, run obliquely upwards from back to front and assume an opening angle α relative to the ground. The inventive arrangement of the articulation axis 27 allows opening angles α of up to 15° (degrees) to be achieved, whereby the tines of the pickup 21 assume an advantageously large distance from the ground, so that there is only a slight risk of scattering or damaging an already formed swath.

[0038] The work units 20 are therefore based on the working position of the Fig. 1 into the headland position of the Fig. 2 Raised in a V-shape. This allows for a particularly gentle lifting and setting down of the working units during the transfer between the working position and this headland position.

[0039] Preferably, the axle 18 of the chassis 16 of the agricultural harvesting machine 10 is designed as a steering axle. When moving the agricultural harvesting machine 10 from the working position into the, in Fig. 2 In the headland position shown, and when the working units 20 are raised, a caster is generated on the axle 18 of the chassis 16, which is designed as a steering axle and raises the outside side when cornering.

[0040] Additionally, when transferring the agricultural harvesting machine 10 from the working position to the headland position, the Fig. 2 The axle distance between the axle 18 of the chassis 16 of the agricultural harvesting machine 10 and a rear axle of the towing vehicle is reduced, thereby increasing maneuverability.
