Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a semi-automatic rifle.
[0002] In particular, by "semi-automatic rifle" is meant a semi-automatic rifle for sporting use, for example for hunting.
[0003] In known embodiments, semi-automatic rifles comprise a main body, also known as receiver, in which specific components are housed or on which they are engaged, such as those of the firing mechanism or the trigger assembly.
[0004] In particular, the main body is also structured to allow the "semi-automaticity" of the firing mechanism.
[0005] The main body is also suitable for supporting the barrel group.
[0006] In known solutions of semi-automatic rifles, with particular reference to the respective barrel groups and to the main bodies which support said barrel groups, a number of issues are known related to the use of weapon accessories, such as sighting systems.
[0007] In fact, embodiments of semi-automatic rifles are known in which said sighting systems are mounted on the main body in a plurality of positions, for example proximal to the user or distal from the user, for example in a region adjacent to one end of the barrel. Therefore, the main body needs to be designed and manufactured accordingly, providing specific zones in which said weapon accessories are mountable.
[0008] An object of the present invention is to provide a solution of semi-automatic rifle alternative to the solutions of the prior art in which said issue is solved, proposing a solution of semi-automatic rifle in which the main body is not affected by the presence of accessory systems, in particular in the region proximal to the barrel end.
[0009] Said object is achieved by means of the semi-automatic rifle according to claim 1. The claims dependent thereon seek protection for further features and entail further technical advantages.
[0010] In addition, further features and advantages of the invention will appear from the description reported below of its preferred embodiments, given by way of nonlimiting example, with reference to the accompanying figures, in which: Figure 1 shows a side view of a semi-automatic rifle according to the present invention; Figure 2 shows a perspective view in separated parts of a barrel group comprised in the semi-automatic rifle according to a preferred embodiment; Figure 3 illustrates a side view of the barrel group of figure 2, assembled.
[0011] With reference to the attached figures, number 1 denotes, in its entirety, a semi-automatic rifle in accordance with the present invention.
