Abstract

The disclosure provides a security cap for a bottle, in particular a bottled product such as a wine bottle or a perfume bottle. It comprises a housing and a locking assembly disposed within the housing. The housing is provided with a receiving cavity for receiving a bottle neck, the locking assembly comprises at least two pivotable catch arm members each provided at an end proximal to the receiving cavity with a protruding tooth portion and configured to respectively catch various sizes of bottle mouth annular protrusion or recess or the bottle neck that is received in the receiving cavity, via the protruding tooth portions, such that the security cap is in a locked position to resist removal of the bottle mouth received in the receiving cavity. When the security cap is in the locked position and no bottle neck is received, shortest straight-line distances from the protruding tooth portions to an opposite inner surface of the receiving cavity are different. With the above arrangement, the disclosure effectively expands the variation range of cap diameters and neck lengths applicable for locking. It makes it possible for a user to mount the security cap in the locked position with one hand.

Description

BOTTLE SECURITY CAPTECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The invention relates to the field of bottled product protection technology, more particularly to a bottle security cap.BACKGROUND

[0002] With the widespread popularity of shopping malls, the consumption of bottled products such as bottled wine has increased significantly. Consequently, the unauthorized access to the interior of bottles by breaking the sealed caps has also increased. To effectively protect bottled products, a bottle security cap equipped with a single catch arm has been introduced. When a bottle mouth of a bottled product is inserted into the bottle security cap (e.g., its receiving cavity) , the catch arm can restrict the bottle mouth, thereby preventing damage to the cap of the bottled product. However, the catch arm of existing bottle security cap is typically merely translational in a single direction between a locked position and an unlocked position, so as to restrict the bottle mouth. Such bottle security cap can merely accommodate bottle caps with diameters varying within a small range. For example, it may only fit cap diameters that range from approximately28mm to 32mm, with a variation range of only about 3mm to 4mm. Moreover, the bottle security cap with the translational catch arm cannot be mounted onto the bottle to be protect by a user when it is in the locked position, which makes it inconvenient to use. Additionally, those skilled in the art cannot expand the variation range of cap diameters or neck lengths applicable for locking by introducing the translational catch arms of different lengths. A bottle security cap with a single catch arm can hardly achieve effective locking for a combination of various bottles with short necks, long necks, large cap diameters, and small cap diameters. In summary, the existing bottle security cap with the translational catch arm has significant limitations in application and cannot meet the protection needs of the large number of bottled products with varying dimensions in the market.SUMMARY

[0003] The disclosure is to provide a bottle security cap, to solve the technical problem that the existing bottle security cap with the translational catch arm has significant limitations in application and cannot meet the protection needs of the large number of bottled products with varying dimensions in the market.

[0031] Compared with the existing technologies, the embodiment of the disclosure has advantages as follows. By providing at least two pivotable catch arm members in the housing with the shortest straight-line distances from the protruding tooth portions on the pivotable catch arm members to the inner side surface of the receiving cavity on the opposite side being different when the bottle security cap is in the locked position and no bottle neck is inserted into the receiving cavity, one of the pivotable catch arm members can arrive at a position suitable for catching bottles of various sizes anyway, thereby effectively expanding the variation range of applicable cap diameters and neck lengths and providing great convenience for commodity managers to uniformly purchase a single type of security caps. Moreover, by providing the protruding tooth portions respectively on the ends of the pivotable catch arm members proximal to the receiving cavity, the annular protrusions or recesses of various bottles can be stably and reliably caught, thereby ensuring that smooth bottles can be stably secured in the receiving cavity.

[0032] In particular, in an embodiment of the disclosure, it can at least lock bottles with cap diameters ranging from 26.4mm to 40.3mm and neck lengths ranging from 25mm to 132mm, with the variation range of cap diameters reaching 13.9mm. In a further embodiment of the disclosure, it can at least lock bottles with cap diameters ranging from 19.8mm to 38.5mm and neck lengths ranging from 24mm to 116mm, with the variation range of cap diameters reaching 18.7mm. In this way, the variation range of cap diameters can significantly increase, from approximately 3mm to 4mm of existing bottle security caps with the translational catch arms, to approximately 18mm to 19mm. Bottles with neck lengths greater than 116mm can also be reliably locked. Meanwhile, the embodiment of the disclosure makes it possible for a user to mount the security cap in the locked position with one hand, greatly improving user experience.BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF ILLUSTRATED EMBODIMENTS

[0039] The technical solutions of the embodiments of the present disclosure are clearly and completely described below with reference to the accompanying drawings in the embodiments of the present disclosure. Apparently, the described embodiments are merely a part rather than all of the embodiments of the present disclosure. All other embodiments obtained by those skilled in the art based on the embodiments of the present disclosure without creative efforts shall fall within the scope of the present disclosure.

[0040] Please refer to FIGs. 1-5. A bottle security cap is provided in an embodiment of the disclosure, which comprises a housing 1 and a locking assembly disposed within the housing 1. The housing 1 is provided with a receiving cavity 15 for receiving a bottle neck. The locking assembly comprises at least two pivotable catch arm members, and each pivotable catch arm member is provided at one end proximal to the receiving cavity 15 with a protruding tooth portion 13. By means of its protruding tooth portion 13, at least one of the pivotable catch arm members can engage with a bottle mouth annular protrusion or recess, or the bottle neck, which is inserted into the receiving cavity 15. In such a case, the bottle security cap is in the locked position to resist removal of the bottle mouth that is inserted into the receiving cavity 15. When the bottle security cap is in the locked position and no bottle neck has been inserted into the receiving cavity 15 yet, the shortest straight-line distances from the protruding tooth portions 13 of the pivotable catch arm members to the inner side surface of the receiving cavity located on the opposite side are different.

[0041] It should be noted that the working principle of the embodiment is as follows. When it is necessary to protect a bottle, the bottle neck of the bottle can be inserted into the receiving cavity 15 inside the housing 1. During the insertion process, the pivotable catch arm members positioned in the housing 1 will be pushed by the bottle to pivot in a direction away from the receiving cavity 15, thereby enlarging the space of the receiving cavity 15 and ensuring that the bottle neck of the bottle can be smoothly inserted into the receiving cavity 15. When the bottle mouth of the bottle reaches or exceeds a limiting height of the protruding tooth portions 13, there is no need to continue applying a pushing force to the pivotable catch arm members with the bottle. In such a case, the pivotable catch arm members pivot in a direction towards the receiving cavity 15, thereby reducing the space of the receiving cavity 15 until the protruding tooth portions 13 of the pivotable catch arm members clamps the annular protrusion or the annular recess at the end of the bottle mouth and thus catches the bottle. The embodiment of the disclosure makes it possible for a user to mount the security cap in the locked position with one hand, greatly improving the convenience.

[0042] To expand the variation range of applicable cap diameters, the embodiment utilizes at least two pivotable catch arm members, and further limits that, when the bottle security cap is in the locked position and no bottle neck has been inserted into the receiving cavity 15 yet, the shortest straight-line distances from the protruding tooth portions 13 of the pivotable catch arm members to the inner side surface of the receiving cavity 15 located on the opposite side are different, as shown in FIG. 2. Consequently, it allows the pivotable catch arm members to catch bottles with varying cap diameters and neck lengths. It should be noted that, if the bottle security cap is in the locked position and no bottle neck has been inserted into the receiving cavity 15 yet, the catch arms of each of the pivotable catch arm members are in their initial positions in a stationary state. In such a case, the shortest straight-line distances from the protruding tooth portions 13 on the pivotable catch arm members to the inner side surface of the receiving cavity 15 located on the opposite side are different.

[0043] In a preferred embodiment, the locking assembly comprises a first pivotable catch arm member and a second pivotable catch arm member. The first pivotable catch arm member is positioned above the second pivotable catch arm member, and the catch arm length of the first pivotable catch arm member is greater than that of the second pivotable catch arm member. A pin shaft 6 extending through two opposite surfaces of the housing 1 is provided on the side of the housing 1 near its bottom. Both the first and second pivotable catch arm members are connected to the pin shaft 6 in such a manner that they are pivotable around the pin shaft 6 to enable the bottle security cap to switch between the locked position and the unlocked position.

[0044] In the embodiment, the locking assembly is further particularly defined to comprise the first pivotable catch arm member and the second pivotable catch arm member, with the first pivotable catch arm member being positioned above the second pivotable catch arm member, and the catch arm length of the first pivotable catch arm member being greater than that of the second pivotable catch arm member. Consequently, the first pivotable catch arm member is mainly used to catch bottles with normal or longer neck lengths, and the second pivotable catch arm member is mainly used to catch bottles with shorter neck lengths. It should be understood that, when a bottle with a normal or longer neck is inserted into the receiving cavity 15, the first pivotable catch arm member can engage with the annular protrusion or recess at the end of the bottle mouth through its protruding tooth portion 13, and meanwhile the second pivotable catch arm member can engage with the bottle neck through its protruding tooth portion 13, as shown in FIG. 3. When a bottle with a shorter neck is inserted into the receiving cavity 15, its bottle mouth may not be able to reach the locking height of the first pivotable catch arm member. In such a case, the second pivotable catch arm member located below can engage with the annular protrusion or recess at the end of the bottle mouth through its protruding tooth portion 13,as shown in FIG. 4. It should be noted that FIG. 5 illustrates the measurement definition of the cap diameter and the neck length in the embodiment.

[0045] In a preferred embodiment, the first pivotable catch arm member comprises a first catch arm 2 and a first spring 4, and the second pivotable catch arm member comprises a second catch arm 3 and a second spring 5. Both the first catch arm 2 and the second catch arm 3 are provided at one end with mounting holes, through which the pin shaft 6 can extend.

[0046] A protruding portion 14 is provided on the inner side surface of the housing 1 away from the receiving cavity 15. The first spring 4 has one end connected to the protruding portion 14 and the other end connected to the free end of the first catch arm 2. The free end of the first catch arm 2 is pulled by the first spring4 and thus is deflected upwards.

[0047] The second spring 5 has one end connected to the protruding portion 14 and the other end connected to the free end of the second catch arm 3. The free end of the second catch arm 3 is pulled by the second spring 5 and thus is deflected upwards.

[0048] In particular, in the embodiment, the combination of springs and catch arms is utilized to catch the bottle within the receiving cavity 15. Firstly, both the first catch arm 2 and the second catch arm 3 are provided at one end with mounting holes allowing the pin shaft 6 to extend through, such that both the first catch arm 2 and the second catch arm 3 can be mounted on the pin shaft 6 and coaxially pivotable around the pin shaft 6. Furthermore, it can be understood that, due to the arrangement of the first spring 4 and the second spring 5 which are inclined from top to bottom, the free ends of the first catch arm2 and the second catch arm 3 are respectively pulled by the first spring 4 and the second spring 5 and thus are deflected upwards, thereby facilitates the opening of the insertion space in the receiving cavity 15 during insertion of the bottle neck into in the receiving cavity 15. During the process of locking the inserted bottle neck, the springs connected with the catch arms are compressed as the catch arms are pushed by the bottle neck. In such a case, the springs that undergo elastic deformation exert reactive forces on the catch arms to push the catch arms towards the bottle neck, so as to achieve the limitation on the bottle neck.

[0049] In a preferred embodiment, the first catch arm 2 has a length that ranges from 49mm to 59mm, and the second catch arm 3 has a length that ranges from 36mm to 48mm.

[0050] In a preferred embodiment, when the bottle security cap is in the locked position and no bottle neck has been inserted into the receiving cavity 15 yet, the shortest straight-line distance from the protruding tooth portion 13 of the first catch arm 2 to the inner side surface of the receiving cavity on the opposite side ranges from 11mm to 25mm, and the shortest straight-line distance from the protruding tooth portion 13 of the second catch arm 3 to the inner side surface of the receiving cavity on the opposite side ranges from 21mm to 29mm.

[0051] In a preferred embodiment, when the first catch arm 2 connected to the first spring 4 is radially displaced, from an unstressed state, by 5mm to 15mm in the direction perpendicular to the central axis of the bottle inserted in the receiving cavity 15, the radial locking force exerted by the first spring 4 ranges from 8.3N to 47.6N; when the second catch arm 3 connected to the second spring 5 is radially displaced, from an unstressed state, by 5mm to 15mm in the direction perpendicular to the central axis of the bottle inserted in the receiving cavity 15, the radial locking force exerted by the second spring 5 ranges from 15.7N to 43.5N.

[0052] In particular, in the embodiment of the disclosure, the dimensions of the first catch arm 2 and the second catch arm 3, as well as the ranges of the radial locking forces, are further defined. Such defined ranges greatly expand applicable cap diameters and bottle neck dimensions, thereby providing great convenience for malls to uniformly purchase a single type of security caps. In particular, in an embodiment of the disclosure, such defined ranges at least make it possible to lock bottles with cap diameters ranging from 26.4mm to 40.3mm and neck lengths ranging from 25mm to 132mm, with the variation range of cap diameters reaching 13.9mm. In a further embodiment of the disclosure, it can lock bottles at least with cap diameters ranging from 19.8mm to 38.5mm and neck lengths ranging from 24mm to 116mm, with the variation range of cap diameters reaching 18.7mm. In addition, it also ensures the locking effect for bottles with neck lengths greater than 116mm.

[0053] Furthermore, the radial locking forces as mentioned above, i.e., the component (in the direction perpendicular to the bottle neck) of the forces exerted on the protruding tooth portion 13 of corresponding catch arm by the first spring 4 and the second spring 5, can be measured by using pressure sensors. The specific data are as follows. As shown in Examples 1-20 below, when the first catch arm 2 connected to the first spring 4 is radially displaced, from an unstressed state, by 5mm, 10mm, and 15mm in the direction perpendicular to the central axis of the bottle inserted in the receiving cavity 15, the radial locking force exerted by the first spring 4 is 8.3N, 17.7N, and 22.1N, respectively; when the second catch arm 3 connected to the second spring 5 is radially displaced, from an unstressed state, by 5mm, 10mm, and 15mm in the direction perpendicular to the central axis of the bottle inserted in the receiving cavity 15, the radial locking force exerted by the second spring 5 is 15.7N, 24.7N, and 35.2N, respectively. As shown in the example 23 below, when the first catch arm2 connected to the first spring 4 is radially displaced, from an unstressed state, by 5mm, 10mm, and 15mm in the direction perpendicular to the central axis of the bottle inserted in the receiving cavity 15, the radial locking force exerted by the first spring 4 is 21.7N, 32.5N, and 47.6N, respectively; when the second catch arm 3 connected to the second spring 5 is radially displaced, from an unstressed state, by 5mm, 10mm, and 15mm in the direction perpendicular to the central axis of the bottle inserted in the receiving cavity 15, the radial locking force exerted by the second spring 5 is 18.7N, 29.0N, and 43.5N, respectively. It can be seen that the shorter the catch arm, the greater the required radial locking force. A too-large radial locking force makes it inconvenient for users to mount the bottle security cap, while a too-small radial locking force cannot resist passive removal of the bottle neck. The inventor of the embodiment of the disclosure has concluded through experiments that, without a determined radial locking force, even the best-designed locking structure would fail to achieve its locking effect.

[0054] In a preferred embodiment, the protruding tooth portion 13 has a thickness of 0.3mm-2.9mm.

[0055] In particular, in the embodiment, the protruding tooth portion 13 is further defined as a thin toothed portion with a thickness of 0.3mm-2.9mm. For example, the protruding tooth portion 13 may have a thickness of 0.3mm, 0.5mm, 0.7mm, 0.9mm, 1.1mm, 1.3mm, 1.5mm, 1.7mm, 2.0mm, 2.2mm, 2.6mm, 2.9mm, etc., which is not specifically limited in the embodiment. As long as the strength is sufficient, the protruding thin toothed portion with a smaller thickness can effectively and stably press against the annular protrusion or recess on the end of the bottle mouth or neck. A catch arm without the protruding tooth portion 13 or with an excessively thick protruding tooth portion 13 can hardly press against the annular recess at the end of the bottle mouth, resulting in unstable locking.

[0056] In a preferred embodiment, the locking assembly further comprises a pivotable catch member, which is disposed below the second pivotable catch arm member. The pivotable catch member has one end connected to the pin shaft 6, and the pivotable catch member is used to clamp the bottle neck inserted into the receiving cavity 15.

[0057] In particular, the locking assembly in the embodiment further comprises the pivotable catch member allowing a user to mount the security cap in the locked position, even with one hand. During the process of locking the inserted bottle neck, the pivotable catch member can pivot in a direction towards the receiving cavity 15, thereby resulting in the reduction of the space of the receiving cavity 15 until the pivotable fastener 7 engages with the bottle neck and achieves transverse clamping and position-limitation, as shown in FIGs. 3 and 4. In this way, it increases the resistance to prevent the bottle neck from swaying freely in the receiving cavity 15, enhances the locking effect on the bottle neck, and additionally achieves the effect of restricting access.

[0058] In a preferred embodiment, the pivotable catch member comprises a pivotable fastener 7 and a torsion spring 8. The torsion spring 8 is wound around the pin shaft 6. The pivotable fastener 7 is provided at an end with a mounting hole allowing the pin shaft 6 to extend through. The pivotable fastener 7 is deflected in a direction towards the receiving cavity 15 under the torque applied by the torsion spring 8, thereby achieving the radial clamping effect on the bottle neck and additionally achieving the effect of restricting access.

[0059] In particular, the pivotable catch member in the embodiment further comprises the pivotable fastener 7 and the torsion spring 8, it may be understood that the torsion spring 8 is wound around the pin shaft 6, has one end extending to a side surface of the housing 1 away from the receiving cavity 15 for connection, and has the other end connected to the pivotable fastener 7. During the process of locking the inserted bottle neck, due to the torsion action of the torsion spring 8, it can apply a torque to the pivotable fastener 7, so as to drive the pivotable fastener 7 to pivot in a direction towards the receiving cavity 15, thereby resulting in the reduction of the space of the receiving cavity 15 until the pivotable fastener 7 engages with the bottle neck and achieves transverse clamping and position-limitation.

[0060] In a preferred embodiment, the pivotable fastener 7 is provided at an end proximal to the receiving cavity 15 with an arc-shaped groove.

[0061] Particularly, taking into consideration that the bottle neck surfaces of most bottled products are arc-shaped, the pivotable fastener 7 in the embodiment is designed at one end proximal to the receiving cavity 15 with an arc-shaped groove, to fit the contour of the bottle necks of bottled products. In such a case, the contact area between the pivotable fastener 7 and the bottle neck can be increased, thereby facilitating clamping of the bottle neck in the receiving cavity 15 and meanwhile avoiding damage to the outer surface of the bottle neck.

[0062] In a preferred embodiment, an electronic tag is disposed in the housing 1.

[0063] In particular, in the embodiment, the electronic tag is disposed in the housing 1 of the security cap, to prevent theft of the bottled products. Currently, most shopping malls are equipped at entrances and exits with anti-theft detection devices for electronic tags. If a thief attempts to take a bottled product equipped with the security cap of the embodiment out of the mall, the anti-theft detection device can detect the electronic tag inside the security cap and trigger an alarm. In this way, it can provide anti-theft protection.

[0064] In a preferred embodiment, the housing 1 is provided at an inner side surface with a projection, in which a mounting cavity for the electronic tag is defined, and the protrusion height of the projection is greater than 3mm.

[0065] It should be noted that, taking into consideration that the electronic tags mounted on the bottled products available in the market are usually ferrite, coil and capacitor anti-theft devices that are susceptible to metal interference and shielding, the alarm performance may be noticeable compromised or even rendered ineffective when metal objects (such as coins, keys, and the like) get close. In the embodiment, to prevent external metal objects from getting too close to the electronic tag in the housing 1, two rows of projections are provided on the two opposite side surfaces in the housing 1. The projections define mounting cavities for the electronic tags and ensure that the electronic tags are more securely positioned in the housing 1. Preferably, the projection heights of the above-mentioned projections are greater than 3mm, to better prevent external metal objects from getting too close to the electronic tag in the housing 1.

[0066] In a preferred embodiment, the electronic tags are acousto-magnetic anti-theft tags, radio-frequency anti-theft tags, or RFID tags.

[0067] Particularly, as the ferrite, coil and capacitor anti-theft devices commonly used for the bottled products available in the market are susceptible to metal interference and shielding as mentioned above, the electronic tags in the embodiment are particularly the acousto-magnetic anti-theft tags or the radio-frequency anti-theft tags, so as to avoid the failure of the alarm performance caused by external metal objects. Preferably, the electronic tags are the acousto-magnetic anti-theft tags, particularly the permanent magnet resonance acousto-magnetic anti-theft tags, to achieve good anti-metal shielding effects and avoid damage to the alarm performance after exposure to a strong magnetic field.

[0068] In addition, using RFID tags as the electronic tags positioned in the housing is advantageous for product traceability or inventory management.

[0069] In a preferred embodiment, the housing 1 comprises a transparent cover 101 and a side cover 102. Both the transparent cover 101 and the side cover 102 are provided, on the two opposite side surfaces near its bottom, with mounting holes allowing the pin shaft 6 to extend through, such that both the transparent cover 101 and the side cover 102 are pivotally connected via the pin shaft 6 and can open and close around the pin shaft 6. The receiving cavity 15 is defined inside the transparent cover 101, and the locking assembly is disposed in the side cover 102.

[0070] Particularly, taking into consideration that some bottled products such as high-end bottled wines in the market are designed with exquisite packaging bottles to attract customers, in order to avoid obscuring the appearance of the bottled products, the housing 1 in the embodiment consists of the transparent cover 101 and the side cover 102, and the receiving cavity 15 for receiving the bottle neck is defined inside the transparent cover 101. Moreover, the transparent cover for receiving the bottle neck is advantageous for checking the appearance damage and locking status of the bottled products by commodity managers. Furthermore, the pin shaft 6 in the embodiment is used to connect the transparent cover 101 and the side cover 102 and allows them to rotate around the pin shaft 6 so as to achieve opening and closing, facilitating unlocking of locked bottles.

[0071] It should be noted that, although the transparent cover 101 and the side cover 102 in the embodiment can open and close, they do not need to open during the process of locking the bottles. Based on the working principle of the security cap mentioned in the embodiment, the bottle to be locked can be directly inserted in the receiving cavity 15 of the housing 1. It eliminates the need for frequently opening the transparent cover 101 and the side cover 102, particularly when locking numerous bottled products, and thus greatly enhances the convenience and efficiency of using the security cap.

[0072] In an alternative embodiment, both the transparent cover 101 and the side cover 102 in the embodiment can be equipped with the above-mentioned electronic tags.

[0073] In a preferred embodiment, the bottle security cap further comprises a locking member for locking the transparent cover 101 and the side cover 102 when they are closed.

[0074] Particularly, in order to prevent the transparent cover 101 and the side cover 102 from being opened actively or passively during the process of locking the inserted bottle neck to render the protection of the bottle ineffective, the locking member is provided in the embodiment, to lock the transparent cover 101 and the side cover 102 when they are closed. To open the transparent cover 101 and the side cover 102, the locking member has to be unlocked first. It further enhances the anti-damage and anti-theft performance of the bottles.

[0075] In a preferred embodiment, the locking member comprises a pin 9 and a lock cylinder 10; a bracket for securing the pin 9 is provided on a side surface inside the transparent cover 101, and the lock cylinder 10 is provided on the side surface of the side cover 102 away from the receiving cavity 15.

[0076] The lock cylinder 10 comprises a lock core spring, a lock core ball seat, a plurality of (e.g., three) round steel balls, a casing, and a lock core housing outside the casing. When the pin 9 is inserted into the lock cylinder 10, the lock core ball seat is pushed forward by the lock core spring such that the plurality of round steel balls are pressed by the casing to lock the pin 9.

[0077] Further preferably, when the lock core ball seat is magnetically attracted, the lock cylinder 10 is switched to an unlocked position, allowing removal of the bottle inserted in the receiving cavity 15.

[0078] Particularly, as the locking member in the embodiment comprises the pin 9 and the lock cylinder 10, it should be understood that the transparent cover 101 and the side cover 102 are closed when it is necessary to lock the housing 1. During such process, the pin 9 inside the transparent cover 101 is inserted into the lock cylinder 10 provided on the side cover 102. As the pin 9 is inserted into the lock cylinder 10, the lock core ball seat is pushed forward by the lock core spring such that the plurality of round steel balls are pressed by the casing to lock the pin 9, thereby resisting removal of the pin 9. As the lock core ball seat contains magnetic pieces, when it is necessary to unlock the locking member, a magnet is required to attract the lock core ball seat to counteract the forward force of the lock core spring and release the plurality of round steel balls. In such a case, the pin 9 is no longer locked, the lock cylinder 10 is switched to an unlocked position, allowing the pin 9 to be removed from the lock cylinder 10 to achieve unlocking.

[0079] In a preferred embodiment, the end of the pin 9 for insertion into the lock cylinder 10 has a smooth surface.

[0080] Further preferably, the end of the pin 9 for insertion into the lock cylinder 10 has a spherical crown shape or a flat shape.

[0081] It should be noted that, most pins available on the market now are pointed pins that need to pierce soft goods (such as clothing, towels, etc. ) to be protected to achieve locking. However, in the embodiment, the security cap, which is mainly designed to protect the bottled products, is preferably not to use the known pointed pins. By limiting the end of the pin 9 for insertion into the lock cylinder 10 to have the smooth surface, preferably the spherical crown shape or the flat shape, it can prevent injury to the user during mounting of the security cap, and thus improve the safety of use.

[0082] In a preferred embodiment, a baffle 11 is provided on the side surface of the side cover 102 away from the receiving cavity 15, and the baffle 11 is positioned above the lock cylinder 10.

[0083] It should be noted that, to further improve the locking accuracy and ensure that the pin 9 inside the transparent cover 101 can be more accurately inserted into the lock cylinder 10 of the side cover 102, optionally the baffle 11 may be further provided inside the side cover 102 and positioned above the lock cylinder 10. In this way, during the insertion of the pin 9 into the lock cylinder 10, the insertion direction of the pin 9 can be restricted to some extent, to ensure that the pin 9 can be smoothly inserted into the lock cylinder 10.

[0084] In a preferred embodiment, an arc-shaped limiting member 12 is provided on the inner side surface of the transparent cover 101.

[0085] In the embodiment, the arc-shaped limiting member 12 is particularly further provided on the inner side surface of the transparent cover 101. It should be understood that, taking into consideration that the neck surfaces of most bottled products are arc-shaped, the arc-shaped limiting member 12 can fit the neck profile of the bottled products, thereby increasing the contact area between the arc-shaped limiting member 12 and the bottle neck and facilitating limitation for the bottle neck and avoiding damage to the exterior of the bottle neck. During the process of locking the inserted bottle neck, the arc-shaped limiting member 12, together with the locking assembly, can achieve position limitation of the inserted bottle neck, increase the resistance to prevent the bottle neck from swaying freely in the receiving cavity 15, and improve the locking effect on the bottle neck.

[0086] In a preferred embodiment, at least one part of the bottle security cap is made from a recycled plastic.

[0087] Further preferably, the body that defines the receiving cavity is made from recycled PC.

[0088] Further preferably, the catch arms of the pivotable catch arm members are made from recycled ABS.

[0089] For environmentally friendly considerations, at least one part of the bottle security cap in the embodiment is made from a recycled plastic. It should be understood that the parts of the bottle security cap refer to various parts, such as the housing, the catch arms, the pivotable fasteners, etc., that constitute the bottle security cap. The details are not repeated in the embodiment.

[0090] As the bottle security cap provided in the embodiment of the disclosure comprises at least two pivotable catch arm members within the housing 1, and the shortest straight-line distances from the protruding tooth portions on the pivotable catch arm members to the inner side surface of the receiving cavity 15 located on the opposite side are different when the bottle security cap is in the locked position with no bottle neck being inserted into the receiving cavity, one of the pivotable catch arm members can arrive at a position suitable for catching bottles of various sizes anyway, thereby effectively expanding the variation range of applicable cap diameters and neck lengths and providing great convenience for commodity managers to uniformly purchase a single type of security caps. Moreover, by providing the protruding tooth portions 13 respectively on the ends of the pivotable catch arm members proximal to the receiving cavity 15, the annular protrusions or recesses of various bottles can be stably and reliably caught, thereby ensuring that smooth bottles can be stably secured in the receiving cavity 15.

[0091] In particular, in an embodiment of the disclosure, it can at least lock bottles with cap diameters ranging from26.4mm to 40.3mm and neck lengths ranging from 25mm to 132mm, with the variation range of cap diameters reaching 13.9mm. In a further embodiment of the disclosure, it can at least lock bottles with cap diameters ranging from 19.8mm to 38.5mm and neck lengths ranging from 24mm to 116mm, with the variation range of cap diameters reaching 18.7mm. It enables the variation range of cap diameters to significantly increase, from approximately 3mm to 4mm of existing bottle security caps with the translational catch arms, to approximately 18mm to 19mm. Bottles with neck lengths greater than 116mm can also be reliably locked. Meanwhile, the embodiment of the disclosure makes it possible for a user to mount the security cap in the locked position with one hand, greatly improving user experience.

[0092] To reflect that the applicable variation range of cap diameters can effectively expanded, the embodiments of the disclosure will be further described below in conjunction with several examples. All the following examples use same locking members, which include the pin 9 and the lock cylinder 10, and may or may not contain acousto-magnetic anti-theft alarm devices, radio-frequency anti-theft alarm devices, or RFID tags.

[0127] In the example, the bottle security cap comprises the first pivotable catch arm member, the second pivotable catch arm member, and the pivotable catch member, wherein the first pivotable catch arm member and the second pivotable catch arm member are provided at their respective ends with the protruding tooth portions 13 having a thickness of 1.5mm. The catch arm of the first pivotable catch arm member has a length of 56.9mm, and the catch arm of the second pivotable catch arm member has a length of 46.4mm.

[0128] When a wine bottle with a cap diameter of 29.5mm and a neck length of 43.0mm is inserted in this bottle security cap, the first pivotable catch arm member can easily clamp the annular protrusion or recess at the end of its bottle mouth to resist removal of the wine bottle. However, when a magnetic force is applied to the exterior of the lock cylinder 10, the lock cylinder 10 can be unlocked to allow removal of the bottle from the receiving cavity 15.

[0130] In the example, the bottle security cap comprises the first pivotable catch arm member, the second pivotable catch arm member, and the pivotable catch member, wherein the first pivotable catch arm member and the second pivotable catch arm member are provided at their respective ends with the protruding tooth portions 13 having a thickness of 1.5mm. The catch arm of the first pivotable catch arm member has a length of 56.9mm, and the catch arm of the second pivotable catch arm member has a length of 46.4mm.

[0131] When a wine bottle with a cap diameter of 30.9mm and a neck length of 65.0mm is inserted in this bottle security cap, the first pivotable catch arm member can easily clamp the annular protrusion or recess at the end of its bottle mouth to resist removal of the wine bottle. However, when a magnetic force is applied to the exterior of the lock cylinder 10, the lock cylinder 10 can be unlocked to allow removal of the bottle from the receiving cavity 15.

[0132] Example 14

[0133] In the example, the bottle security cap comprises the first pivotable catch arm member, the second pivotable catch arm member, and the pivotable catch member, wherein the first pivotable catch arm member and the second pivotable catch arm member are provided at their respective ends with the protruding tooth portions 13 having a thickness of 1.5mm. The catch arm of the first pivotable catch arm member has a length of 56.9mm, and the catch arm of the second pivotable catch arm member has a length of 46.4mm.

[0134] When a wine bottle with a cap diameter of 31.6mm and a neck length of 67.0mm is inserted in this bottle security cap, the first pivotable catch arm member can easily clamp the annular protrusion or recess at the end of its bottle mouth to resist removal of the wine bottle. However, when a magnetic force is applied to the exterior of the lock cylinder 10, the lock cylinder 10 can be unlocked to allow removal of the bottle from the receiving cavity 15.

[0135] Example 15

[0136] In the example, the bottle security cap comprises the first pivotable catch arm member, the second pivotable catch arm member, and the pivotable catch member, wherein the first pivotable catch arm member and the second pivotable catch arm member are provided at their respective ends with the protruding tooth portions 13 having a thickness of 1.5mm. The catch arm of the first pivotable catch arm member has a length of 56.9mm, and the catch arm of the second pivotable catch arm member has a length of 46.4mm.

[0137] When a wine bottle with a cap diameter of 28.8mm and a neck length of 92.0mm is inserted in this bottle security cap, the first pivotable catch arm member can easily clamp the annular protrusion or recess at the end of its bottle mouth to resist removal of the wine bottle. However, when a magnetic force is applied to the exterior of the lock cylinder 10, the lock cylinder 10 can be unlocked to allow removal of the bottle from the receiving cavity 15.

[0138] Example 16

[0139] In the example, the bottle security cap comprises the first pivotable catch arm member, the second pivotable catch arm member, and the pivotable catch member, wherein the first pivotable catch arm member and the second pivotable catch arm member are provided at their respective ends with the protruding tooth portions 13 having a thickness of 2.6mm. The catch arm of the first pivotable catch arm member has a length of 56.9mm, and the catch arm of the second pivotable catch arm member has a length of 46.4mm.

[0140] When a wine bottle with a cap diameter of 31.8mm and a neck length of 97.0mm is inserted in this bottle security cap, the first pivotable catch arm member can easily clamp the annular protrusion or recess at the end of its bottle mouth to resist removal of the wine bottle. However, when a magnetic force is applied to the exterior of the lock cylinder 10, the lock cylinder 10 can be unlocked to allow removal of the bottle from the receiving cavity 15.

[0141] Example 17

[0142] In the example, the bottle security cap comprises the first pivotable catch arm member, the second pivotable catch arm member, and the pivotable catch member, wherein the first pivotable catch arm member and the second pivotable catch arm member are provided at their respective ends with the protruding tooth portions 13 having a thickness of 1.5mm. The catch arm of the first pivotable catch arm member has a length of 56.9mm, and the catch arm of the second pivotable catch arm member has a length of 46.4mm.

[0143] When a wine bottle with a cap diameter of 29.7mm and a neck length of 52.0mm is inserted in this bottle security cap, the first pivotable catch arm member can easily clamp the annular protrusion or recess at the end of its bottle mouth to resist removal of the wine bottle. However, when a magnetic force is applied to the exterior of the lock cylinder 10, the lock cylinder 10 can be unlocked to allow removal of the bottle from the receiving cavity 15.

[0144] Example 18

[0145] In the example, the bottle security cap comprises the first pivotable catch arm member, the second pivotable catch arm member, and the pivotable catch member, wherein the first pivotable catch arm member and the second pivotable catch arm member are provided at their respective ends with the protruding tooth portions 13 having a thickness of 1.5mm. The catch arm of the first pivotable catch arm member has a length of 56.9mm, and the catch arm of the second pivotable catch arm member has a length of 46.4mm.

[0146] When a wine bottle with a cap diameter of 29.8mm and a neck length of 47.0mm is inserted in this bottle security cap, the first pivotable catch arm member can easily clamp the annular protrusion or recess at the end of its bottle mouth to resist removal of the wine bottle. However, when a magnetic force is applied to the exterior of the lock cylinder 10, the lock cylinder 10 can be unlocked to allow removal of the bottle from the receiving cavity 15.

[0147] Example 19

[0148] In the example, the bottle security cap comprises the first pivotable catch arm member, the second pivotable catch arm member, and the pivotable catch member, wherein the first pivotable catch arm member and the second pivotable catch arm member are provided at their respective ends with the protruding tooth portions 13 having a thickness of 1.5mm. The catch arm of the first pivotable catch arm member has a length of 56.9mm, and the catch arm of the second pivotable catch arm member has a length of 46.4mm.

[0149] When a wine bottle with a cap diameter of 19.8mm and a neck length of 93.0mm is inserted in this bottle security cap, the first pivotable catch arm member can easily clamp the annular protrusion or recess at the end of its bottle mouth to resist removal of the wine bottle. However, when a magnetic force is applied to the exterior of the lock cylinder 10, the lock cylinder 10 can be unlocked to allow removal of the bottle from the receiving cavity 15.

[0150] Example 20

[0151] In the example, the bottle security cap comprises the first pivotable catch arm member, the second pivotable catch arm member, and the pivotable catch member, wherein the first pivotable catch arm member and the second pivotable catch arm member are provided at their respective ends with the protruding tooth portions 13 having a thickness of 2.9mm. The catch arm of the first pivotable catch arm member has a length of 56.9mm, and the catch arm of the second pivotable catch arm member has a length of 46.4mm.

[0152] When a wine bottle with a cap diameter of 38.5mm and a neck length of 87.0mm is inserted in this bottle security cap, the first pivotable catch arm member can easily clamp the annular protrusion or recess at the end of its bottle mouth to resist removal of the wine bottle. However, when a magnetic force is applied to the exterior of the lock cylinder 10, the lock cylinder 10 can be unlocked to allow removal of the bottle from the receiving cavity 15.

[0153] Example 21 (illustrating the importance of the protruding tooth portion 13 at the front end of the catch arm)

[0154] Similarly, the bottle security cap in the example comprises the first pivotable catch arm member, the second pivotable catch arm member, and the pivotable catch member, wherein the catch arm of the first pivotable catch arm member has a length of 56.9mm, and the catch arm of the second pivotable catch arm member has a length of 46.4mm. However, the ends of the first and second pivotable catch arm members are each formed with a single angle of approximately 85° to 95° and do not have the protruding tooth portion 13. When using such bottle security cap to perform locking tests on the corresponding bottles in Examples 1-20, it was found that it is impossible to lock the bottles in Examples 6, 12, and 17. That is, when the security cap without the protruding tooth portions 13 being provided at the front ends of the catch arms is in the locked position, the bottles received in the receiving cavity 15 can still be pulled out by hand.

[0155] Example 22 (illustrating the importance of spring strength in ensuring the bottle mouth locking stability by using the same locking structure)

[0156] Similarly, the bottle security cap in the example comprises the first pivotable catch arm member, the second pivotable catch arm member, and the pivotable catch member, wherein the catch arm of the first pivotable catch arm member has a length of 56.9mm, and the catch arm of the second pivotable catch arm member has a length of 46.4mm. Both the first pivotable catch arm member and the second pivotable catch arm member are provided at their respective ends with the protruding tooth portions 13 having a tooth thickness of 1.5mm. However, the two springs in the example have relatively low strength. When the first catch arm 2 connected to the first spring 4 is radially displaced from the unstressed state by 15mm in the direction perpendicular to the central axis of the bottle inserted in the receiving cavity 15, the first spring 4 exerts the radial locking force of 3.3N. When the second catch arm 3 connected to the second spring 5 is radially displaced from the unstressed state by 15mm in the direction perpendicular to the central axis of the bottle inserted in the receiving cavity 15, the second spring 5 exerts the radial locking force of 2.9N. When using such bottle security cap to perform locking tests on the corresponding bottles in Examples 1-20, it was found that the bottles can still be pulled out from the receiving cavity 15 by hand. That is, when the bottle security cap with a good locking structure in the example is in the locked position, the bottles received in the receiving cavity 15 can still be pulled out by hand due to relative low spring strength.

[0157] Example 23 (applicable for the bottle mouths of greater sizes with variations in the lengths of the catch arms and enhanced spring strengths)

[0158] The bottle security cap in the example comprises the first pivotable catch arm member, the second pivotable catch arm member, and the pivotable catch member, wherein the catch arm of the first pivotable catch arm member has a length of 51.4mm, and the catch arm of the second pivotable catch arm member has a length of 28.4mm. Both the first pivotable catch arm member and the second pivotable catch arm member are provided at their respective ends with the protruding tooth portions 13 having a tooth thickness of 1.5mm. When the first catch arm 2 connected to the first spring 4 is radially displaced from the unstressed state by 5mm, 10mm, and 15mm in the direction perpendicular to the central axis of the bottle inserted in the receiving cavity 15, the first spring4 exerts the radial locking force of 21.7N, 32.5N, and47.6N, respectively; When the second catch arm 3 connected to the second spring 5 is radially displaced from the unstressed state by 5mm, 10mm, and 15mm in the direction perpendicular to the central axis of the bottle inserted in the receiving cavity 15, the second spring 5 exerts the radial locking force of 18.7N, 29.0N, and 43.5N, respectively. When the bottle security cap is in the locked position and no bottle neck has been inserted into the receiving cavity 15 yet, the shortest straight-line distance from the protruding tooth portion 13 of the first catch arm2 to the inner side surface of the receiving cavity on the opposite side is 23mm, and the shortest straight-line distance from the protruding tooth portion 13 of the second catch arm 3 to the inner side surface of the receiving cavity on the opposite side is 25mm.

[0159] In particular, the test results of using the bottle security cap of the example 23 to perform locking tests on the bottles with the bottle mouths of greater sizes are listed in Table 1 below.

[0160] Table 1: bottles for locking tests and their locking test results

[0161] As shown in Table 1 above, for the bottles with cap diameters ranging from 26.4mm to 40.3mm, the protruding tooth portion 13 of either the first pivotable catch arm member or the second pivotable catch arm member can effectively catch the annular protrusion or recess at the end of the bottle mouth to resist removal of the bottles. However, when a magnetic force is applied to the exterior of the lock cylinder 10, the lock cylinder 10 can be unlocked to allow removal of the bottle from the receiving cavity 15.

[0162] From the examples listed above, the bottle security cap provided in Examples 1-20 is at least applicable to the bottles having cap diameters ranging from 19.8mm to 38.5mm, with a variation range of cap diameters up to 18.7mm. The bottle security cap provided in Example 23 is at least applicable to the bottles having cap diameters from 26.4mm to 40.3mm. That is, it is also applicable to some bottles with cap diameters exceeding 38.5mm. Compared to existing bottle security caps, it significantly expands the applicable variation range of cap diameters and effectively meets the protection needs of the large number of bottled products with varying dimensions in the market.
