Abstract
In the patent application document I have described a coordination mechanism of two pistons within a cylinder that allows a thermodynamic process such as expansion to be carried out. The pistons are moved by separate mechanisms that transform the continuous rotation of motor or generator shafts into irregular rectilinear motion. The objective of this invention is its use in power production facilities where efficient compression or expansion of gas or vapors is required. The applications can be: Expansion of steam produced in a biomass boiler. Expansion of steam produced with some energy source, primarily renewable. Compression and expansion of air in an external biomass combustion plant and compressed air-exhaust gas heat exchanger. Vapor-gas expansion produced by the combustion of ethanol and oxygen.
