Description

Title of the invention: Waste column

[0001] The present invention relates to the technical field of waste columns or selective sorting containers.

[0002] In the above field, columns or containers comprising rigid rod devices of the "Kinshofer" type are known, connected, via a spreader bar and / or a gantry and / or another form of internal structure, to tie rods themselves connected to a hatch, which is hinged around a hinge.

[0003] However, such devices, in the event of improper handling of the column, for example when it is simultaneously lifted and moved laterally, have the disadvantage that the rigid rod can twist and therefore no longer slide in its guide.

[0004] To overcome this problem, it is known to replace this rigid rod with a chain to allow for movement. However, in both cases, the rigid rod or the chain constitutes a component passing through the internal volume of the column and is thus liable to block waste during the filling or emptying of the column.

[0005] In order to solve these problems, the present invention relates to a waste column comprising an outer casing forming an upper wall, a lower wall and a side wall, and at least one hatch located at the level of the lower wall articulated around at least one hinge and a hatch operating member provided at the level of the upper wall.

[0006] According to the invention, the operating member is connected to the hatch by a flexible transmission member extending at least partially against the side wall of the waste column.

[0007] Advantageously, unlike existing devices, no component passes through the internal volume of the column according to the invention.

[0008] According to one feature of the invention, the operating mechanism comprises a Kinshofer mushroom-shaped handle or a double-hook system. The Kinshofer mushroom-shaped handle is a well-known solution for a waste column lifting device. The implementation of any double-hook system is compatible with the column according to the present invention. The Kinshofer mushroom-shaped handle or double-hook system allows, in a safe manner, firstly, the column to be grasped, lifted, and handled by means of a first accessory, and secondly, the opening and closing of the column's hatch(es) to be controlled independently by means of a second accessory.

[0009] According to one feature of the invention, the flexible transmission member comprises a chain and / or a cable, one part of which is connected to the operating member and another part to the hatch. Alternative embodiments may indeed include Mixed chain and cable solutions. And, other flexible and / or elastic means can also be implemented alone or in combination.

[0010] According to one embodiment of the invention, the guiding means for the flexible transmission element comprise at least one tube and / or a double partition and / or a folded sheet metal piece. The use of such accessories makes it possible to secure the flexible transmission element and limit its contact with the waste stream.

[0011] According to one embodiment of the invention, the guiding means comprise a gantry. The implementation of a gantry is a well-known solution in the internal structure of waste columns.

[0012] According to one feature of the invention, the column further comprises means for deflecting the flexible transmission element. The implementation of these deflection means allows the flexible transmission element to be directed, thus facilitating its deployment.

[0013] According to one embodiment of the invention, the means for deflecting the flexible transmission element comprise at least one roller and / or sheave and / or fixed or movable, rigid or flexible pad. Such deflection elements make it possible to secure the deployment of the flexible transmission element.

[0014] Of course, the different features, variants and embodiments of the invention can be combined with each other in various ways insofar as they are not incompatible or mutually exclusive.

[0015] In addition, various other features of the invention become apparent from the attached description made with reference to the drawings which illustrate non-limiting embodiments of the invention and where:

[0016] [Fig. 1] is a perspective view of a waste column according to the invention comprising a hatch in the open position,

[0017] [Fig.2] is a perspective view of an alternative embodiment of the column according to the [Fig. 1] with a trapdoor between the open and closed positions,

[0018] [Fig.3] is a perspective view of another embodiment of a column according to the invention comprising two hatches in the closed position,

[0019] [Fig.4] is a partial cross-sectional view of a detail of [Fig.1],

[0020] [Fig.5] is a perspective view of a detail of [Fig.1], and

[0021] [Fig.6] is a perspective view of a detail of [Fig.2].

[0022] It should be noted that in these figures the common structural and / or functional elements the different variants may have the same references.

[0023] A column according to the invention as illustrated in [Fig.1] is designated as a whole by the reference 1. The column 1 comprises an outer casing 2 forming an upper wall 3, a lower wall 4 and a side wall 5. The outer envelope 2 of column 1 is shown in transparency in [Fig. 1], The outer envelope 2 is no longer shown in the following figures.

[0024] In [Fig. 1], the outer casing 2 is substantially parallelepiped in shape. Other shapes are compatible, such as a cylindrical shape. The outer casing 2 comprises plastics and / or reinforced plastics and / or metallic materials and / or wood. Other compatible materials may be used. The outer casing 2 of the waste column 1 according to the invention is suitable for containing waste such as household garbage, bottles, glass, and other household, professional, or industrial waste.

[0025] The column 1 comprises an internal structure 6 contained within the outer envelope 2 formed by elements connecting the upper wall 3 to the lower wall 4. Examples of internal structures are detailed below.

[0026] To perform its main functions, the column 1 includes, at its lower wall 4, a hatch 10 capable of moving between an open and a closed position. The column 1 can thus empty its contents into a container provided for this purpose. According to the embodiment shown in [Fig. 1], the hatch 10 comprises a frame 11 connected to the internal structure 6 at the lower wall 4 by means of four hinges 12. The number of hinges 12 is adapted according to the dimensions of the column 1 and the materials used. A hatch 10 of a column 1 according to the invention comprises a panel (not shown) made of a suitable material to close the lower wall 4 of the column 1.

[0027] Figures 1 and 2 illustrate a column 1 comprising a single hatch 10. Figure 3 illustrates another embodiment of the column comprising a double hatch 10.

[0028] The hatch 10 moves between a closed position and an open position by means of an operating member located at the upper wall 3 of the column 1. In a preferred but not limiting embodiment, the operating member comprises a Kinshofer mushroom 21 or a double hook system. The Kinshofer mushroom 21 or double hook system allows, in a safe manner, on the one hand, the opening and closing of the hatch(es) 10 of the column 1 by means of the operation of a first washer 22, and on the other hand, the column 1 to be gripped, lifted and handled independently by means of the use of a second washer 23. For this purpose, the Kinshofer mushroom 21 is mounted on a vertical rod 24 integral with the internal structure 6 at the upper wall of the column 1 via, for example, a mounting plate 25 visible in particular in [Fig.4] which is a partial section of the column according to the embodiment of [Fig.1].

[0029] To operate the hatch 10, the column 1 further includes a flexible transmission member extending at least partially against the side wall 5 of the waste column.

[0030] According to one embodiment visible in particular in figures 1, 2 and 3, the flexible transmission member comprises at least one chain 31 connected, on the one hand, to the "Kinshofer" mushroom 21 and on the other hand, to the frame 11 of the hatch 10. Two ends of the chain 31 are thus fixed on two opposite sides of the frame 11, for example at the anchor points 32 of the frame 11.

[0031] According to one embodiment, a single chain 31 is implemented with one end connected to the operating member and another end connected to the hatch 10. This configuration can be integrated if the hatch 10 is sufficiently rigid and the load expected for the column 1 is small.

[0032] According to one embodiment of the invention, two chains 31 are implemented, each having one end connected to the operating member and another end connected to a hatch 10.

[0033] In one embodiment, the flexible transmission element comprises at least one cable. Other embodiments may include mixed chain and cable solutions. And, other flexible and / or elastic means may be implemented.

[0034] In order not to obstruct the inside of column 1, each flexible transmission element is oriented via guiding means.

[0035] According to an embodiment not shown, the column comprises 1 a double wall in which the flexible transmission element travels. In an alternative embodiment, the flexible transmission element is moved away from the interior of the column 1 by means of a folded sheet metal which places it partially against the lateral wall 5 of the column 1.

[0036] According to the illustrated embodiments, the guiding means comprise tube-shaped elements 36, 37 forming part of the internal structure 6 of the column 1. Said tubes may have a circular or polygonal cross-section or other mixed shapes.

[0037] A portion of the chain 31 is guided in a first guide tube 36 at the Kinshofer funnel 21, thus forming a gantry (P) for the internal structure 6 of the column 1, and then in a structural tube 37 at the lateral wall of the column 1. In [Fig. 1], two guide tubes 36 are shown, each comprising one end near the Kinshofer funnel 21 and one end near a structural tube 37. The chain 31 is thus protected from dirt, and the contents of the column 1 cannot interfere with the deployment of the chain 31 and therefore with the emptying and filling of the column 1.

[0038] The internal structure 6 of the column 1 is partly formed by the vertical rod 24 linking, on the one hand, the operating member to the upper wall 3 of the column 1 and, on the other hand, the vertical rod 24 carrying the operating member is linked to the guide tubes 36 by first connecting plates 38a visible in particular in [Fig.4]. The guide tubes 36 are linked to the structural tubes 37 by second fixing plates 38b and finally the structural tubes 37 are linked to the lower frame of the internal structure 6 via third fixing plates 38c.

[0039] The mounting plates 38a, 38b, 38c are examples of non-limiting embodiments of the invention. Other connecting elements can be used to form the internal structure 6 of the column 1.

[0040] In order to facilitate the deployment of the chain 31 in the tubes 36,37, the column 1 includes means for deflecting the chain 31.

[0041] According to the embodiment illustrated in [Fig. 1] and detailed in [Fig. 5], a pad 41 is located at each junction between the guide tube 36 and the structural tube 37. Pads may also be arranged between the outlet of the actuating member and the guide tubes 36, as shown in the example in [Fig. 1]. These pads 41 may be friction pads, thus comprising a rubbing surface for the flexible member.

[0042] In an alternative embodiment illustrated in [Fig.2], a roller 42 is disposed between the guide tube 36 and the structural tube 37. The roller 42 is thus located at the entrance of each tube 36,37. The roller comprises a surface adapted to rotate around an axis substantially perpendicular to the trajectory of the flexible member.

[0043] In [Fig.2] and shown in more detail in [Fig.6], a sheave 43 is arranged downstream of the vertical tube 24 on the underside of a gantry P. The sheave 43 makes it possible in particular to facilitate the deployment of the chain sections 31, each connected to the hatch 10 and passing through the sheave 43. Several sheaves 43 can be used depending on the number of chain sections 31 deployed in the column 1.

[0044] These deflection means allow the flexible member to be guided. Simple steel plates, curved or simply inclined with respect to the trajectory of the flexible member, can also be used.

[0045] To operate the invention, column 1 is grasped and lifted by means of, for example, a crane truck whose arm is equipped with a clamp specially designed to lift and drain column 1.

[0046] For this purpose, the hydraulic gripper engages with the Kinshofer mushroom 21 so as to lift the column while holding the gate 10 in the closed position. The column 1 is then directed towards a collector, and the gripper then works with the Kinshofer mushroom 21 to release the chain in order to open the gate 10.

[0047] Other operating methods of the invention are possible with a device capable of collaborating with the operating member of the column according to the invention.

[0048] Of course, various other modifications can be made to the invention within the scope of the annexed claims.
