Abstract
A radiation detection head assembly (400) includes a detection column (404). The detection column (404) includes a detector (416) having a first surface (418) and a second surface (420) opposite the first surface (418). The detection column (404) also includes a first collimator (422) disposed on the first surface (418) of the detector (416), configured for use during imaging scans involving radiation in a first energy range. The detection column (404) further includes a second collimator (424) disposed on the second surface (420) of the detector (416), configured for use during imaging scans involving radiation in a second energy range different from the first energy range.
