Description

Title of the invention: Multimode blow-drying hair styling device with a blow-drying head equipped with internal airtight walls

[0001] The present invention relates to the general technical field of hairdressing appliances, for example for home use, and more specifically to the field of portable hairdressing appliances designed to blow a flow of air in order to dry and / or facilitate the shaping of hair.

[0002] In the field of hairdressing appliances, devices designed to blow air towards the hair using different blowing modes are already known, thus giving these devices a multifunctional character for performing various hair drying and / or styling techniques with a single device. For example, handheld hair dryers are known, comprising a handle and a blower head, which has an air outlet to direct a forced flow of hot or cold air towards the user's hair. The forced airflow follows a single path within the device until it exits through this air outlet. To modify the airflow pattern of these hair dryers, additional accessories, either detachable or fixed, are generally provided at the air outlet. These accessories typically modify the effective airflow cross-section and / or the direction of the airflow, thus defining a variety of different airflow patterns adapted to specific hair drying and / or styling techniques. While these well-known hair dryers are generally satisfactory, they do have some drawbacks. In particular, switching between airflow patterns requires the user to assemble / disassemble accessories, or to manipulate a pre-mounted accessory at the air outlet. This can sometimes be tedious, which detracts from the ease of use and ergonomics of the device. There is also a significant risk of burns when handling the accessory(ies), as well as a possible risk of losing the accessories, if they are not simply stored out of reach and inaccessible to the user when they wish to use them.

[0003] To address these issues, a new portable hair styling device has recently been proposed, comprising a hand-held handle and a blower head connected to the handle. The blower head has first and second air outlets for blowing a stream of air out of the device, typically according to different first and second blowing modes. The device in question further includes a blower module for initiating said airflow, as well as an air direction device arranged inside the blower head, the blower head and the air direction device being mounted movable relative to each other between a first air direction configuration in which the air direction device directs the initiated airflow towards the first air blower outlet, and a second air direction configuration in which the air direction device directs the initiated airflow towards the second air blower outlet.

[0004] While such a hair styling device offers a number of advantages with regard to the aforementioned problems, it has been observed that such a known device can still be improved, particularly in terms of the efficiency of its air design, the latter having a significant impact on the performance of the device and on the quality of the results of hairstyling operations performed with the device, as well as on the safety of use of the device.

[0005] The objects assigned to the invention therefore aim to propose a new multifunctional portable hairdressing device which is of a particularly efficient aerodynamic design, while being particularly practical to use.

[0032] The hair styling device 1 according to the invention, a non-limiting embodiment of which is illustrated in the figures, is a portable hair styling device designed to be grasped and manipulated by hand. It is a hair styling device 1 preferably intended for use in a domestic setting by a user (male or female) without any particular professional skills in hairstyling, i.e., in terms of drying, styling, or shaping hair. Preferably, the hair styling device 1 is designed so that the user uses the hair styling device 1 on themselves, i.e., on their own hair. However, it is perfectly conceivable that the hair styling device 1 could be designed for use by the user on the hair of a third party.

[0033] The hair styling appliance 1 includes means for generating an airflow F which, as will be understood from the following, are designed and configured to generate said airflow F according to at least two different blowing modes, namely at least a first blowing mode and a second blowing mode, which is therefore different from said first blowing mode. It is thus advantageously a "multimode" or "multifunctional" appliance, being designed and configured to blow an airflow F towards hair according to at least two different blowing modes, which can be alternately selected by the user.By "different blowing modes" we preferentially mean blowing modes in which the hair styling appliance 1 blows a flow of air that differs, for example, in its shape, direction and / or intensity, in order to allow different operations to be carried out on the hair, depending on the blowing mode chosen, such as carrying out a hair drying operation or a hair styling operation.

[0034] The hair styling device 1 comprises at least one first air outlet 2 for blowing the airflow F out of the hair styling device 1, for example in a first of said blowing modes, and a second air outlet 3 for blowing the airflow F out of the hair styling device 1, for example in a second of said blowing modes. Said first and second air outlets 2, 3 are advantageously separate from each other, preferably separated by a distance of The other, preferably opposite each other. As in the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the hair styling device 1 advantageously has a first face 4, which carries the first air outlet 2, and a second face 5, which carries the second air outlet 3. The first and second faces 4, 5 constitute different, and preferably opposite, faces of the hair styling device 1. Advantageously, the first and second air outlets 2, 3 exist simultaneously (i.e., they are both permanently present on the hair styling device 1), and not alternately. Typically, the hair styling device 1 comprises a housing 6, for example made of plastic, an outer face of which defines at least a portion of the first and second faces 4, 5 of the hair styling device 1.Said housing 6 has an external surface (defined by said external face) which defines at least a portion of an external surface of the hair styling appliance 1.

[0035] Preferably, these blowing modes correspond to different paths of the airflow F within the hair styling device 1. The hair styling device 1 is therefore preferably designed and configured so that the airflow F follows different (aerodynamic) paths within the hair styling device 1 depending on the blowing mode selected by the user. Thus, the airflow F advantageously follows at least one first path within the hair styling device 1 in the first blowing mode, until it is blown out of the hair styling device 1 via the first air blowing outlet 2 ([Fig. 6]). In the second blowing mode, the airflow F advantageously follows another path within the hair styling device 1, i.e.a path that differs at least in part from the path(s) taken by the airflow F in the first blowing mode, until it is blown out of the hair styling unit 1 via the second air outlet 3 ([Fig. 7]). The implementation of such different airflow paths advantageously allows for the definition of very different blowing modes, depending in particular on the chosen configuration and shape of the first and second air outlets 2, 3, their relative arrangement, etc. In particular, this makes it possible to design blowing modes in which the airflow F is blown out of the hair styling unit 1 in different, possibly opposite, directions, and for example via air outlets 2, 3 that are far apart.

[0036] As in the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the first blowing mode can advantageously correspond to an operating mode of the hair styling appliance 1 in "blowing brush" mode (in particular Figures 3, 6, 7 and 9), while the second blowing mode can advantageously correspond to an operating mode of the hair styling appliance 1 in "hair dryer" mode (in particular Figures 5, 8 and 12). Obviously, the invention is not limited to such modes Specific blowing modes, and other blowing modes, may be considered depending on the intended uses of the hair styling appliance 1 for drying and / or styling hair. Furthermore, the number of different blowing modes is not, in practice, limited to two. Moreover, a single blowing mode may correspond to several different paths of the airflow F within the hair styling appliance 1.

[0037] The hair styling device 1 includes a handle 7 (or grip) for manual handling, which is intended to be grasped manually by the user to operate the hair styling device 1. Advantageously defined by a portion of the housing 6 of the hair styling device 1, the handle 7 typically extends between a first end 8 and a second opposite end 9, preferably longitudinally along an axis A-A' of average extension. The handle 7 advantageously has a slender, elongated shape so that it can be grasped fully by an adult user. The hair styling device 1 further includes a blower head 10 for blowing the airflow F out of the hair styling device 1 towards the hair.Connected to the handle 7, the blower head 10 carries said first and second air blower outlets 2, 3, so that the airflow F is advantageously intended to be blown out of the hair styling appliance 1 towards the hair via the blower head 10. Said blower head 10 preferably has at least one first face, which defines or at least contributes to advantageously defining said first face 4 of the hair styling appliance 1, and which carries the first air blower outlet 2. Said blower head 10 preferably also has a second face, which defines or at least contributes to advantageously defining said second face 5 of the hair styling appliance 1, and which carries the second air blower outlet 3.

[0038] As such, the blow-dry head 10 includes a housing 6A, which advantageously constitutes a part of the housing 6 of the hair styling appliance 1, so that said housing 6 advantageously includes a part defining the handle 7 and another part which forms, which defines, the housing 6A of the blow-dry head 10. Typically, said housing 6A can be formed of one or more casing pieces, assembled together, and defines an internal space, in which are housed internal components of the blow-dry head 10 of the hair styling appliance 1, in particular as the latter will be described below. The blow head 10 extends along an axis B-B' of average extension, between a lower end (first end) at which the blow head 10 is connected to the handle 7, and thus preferably extends the handle 7 beyond the first end 8 of the latter, and an opposite free upper end (second end).Depending on the shape and dimensioning of the blowing head 10, said axis B-B'. The average extension axis can constitute a longitudinal extension axis of the blower head 10. As in the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the average extension axis B-B' of the blower head 10 is advantageously parallel or collinear (coinciding) with said average longitudinal extension axis A-A' of the handle 7. The hair styling device 1 then advantageously extends, in general, along an average extension direction, which is parallel or collinear with said average longitudinal extension axis A-A' of the handle 7 and said average extension axis B-B' of the blower head 10.

[0039] As in the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the first blowing mode advantageously corresponding to an operating mode of the hair styling appliance 1 in "blowing brush" mode, the blowing head 10 typically includes a mechanical hair engagement element 11, capable of mechanically interacting with the user's hair, particularly for brushing, styling, and / or combing it. Advantageously located on the first face of the blowing head 10 (which defines, or contributes to defining, said first face 4 of the hair styling appliance 1), which also carries the first air blowing outlet 2, the mechanical hair engagement element 11 may include a plurality of rows or bars of bristles and / or brush bristles.Preferably, as in the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the first air outlet 2 comprises a plurality of air outlet orifices, i.e., a plurality of air outlet portions, which outlet orifices are arranged between prongs or brush bristles comprising the mechanical engagement element 11 of the hair. For example, each of these air outlet orifices may be formed by a slot (straight or curved). Thus, the airflow F can be optimally directed towards the hair when the hair is in contact with the mechanical engagement element 11 of the hair during a styling operation. Preferably, said first air outlet 2 extends longitudinally along the average extension axis B-B' of the blower head 10.For example, the first air outlet 2 may then comprise a plurality of air outlets, each in the form of a slot, arranged in tiers along the average extension axis B-B' of the blower head 10 ([Fig. 3]). Respectively, the second blowing mode advantageously corresponding to an operating mode of the hair styling appliance 1 in "hair dryer" mode, the second air outlet 3 preferably has a single air outlet, preferably a single one, extending longitudinally along the average extension axis BB' of the blower head 10. The second air outlet 3 thus has a generally oblong, elongated opening, as illustrated in the figures, to blow the flow F. of air in the form of an air blade. Alternatively, the second air outlet 3 could have, for example, a generally circular opening to blow the airflow F in a substantially cylindrical or frustoconical shape. Preferably, the second air outlet 3 is defined by a nozzle 12, for example fixed (non-removable) or, conversely, removable, at least a portion of which projects from a surface of said second face of the blower head 10, typically projecting from the external surface of a housing 6A of the blower head 10. Thus, the second air outlet 3 is advantageously easily identifiable by the user.

[0040] The hair styling device 1 includes a blower module 13 (or "motor-fan unit"), typically included in the aforementioned means for generating the airflow F, to produce the airflow F, i.e. to initiate said airflow F, from ambient air in the environment of the hair styling device 1. Preferably, the blower module 13 is integrated within the hair styling device 1 itself. The hair styling device 1 is advantageously provided with an air inlet 14, through which ambient air can be drawn in by the blower module 13 in order to be blown towards the hair. The blower module 13, which typically includes at least one fan powered by an electric motor, can be advantageously arranged within the blower head 10 or within the handle 7, or even assembled to the handle 7 at the second end 9 of the latter.More preferably, however, the blower module 13 is assembled to the handle 7 at the second end 9 thereof, so that the blower module 13 advantageously extends the handle 7 beyond the second end 9 thereof. Advantageously, the blower head 10 is connected to the handle 7 at the first end 8 thereof. In the case where the blower module 13 is thus arranged within the handle 7 or, more preferably, is assembled to the handle 7 at the second end 9 thereof, the hair styling device 1 advantageously includes a guide channel 15 (or (“guide tube”) arranged at least partially inside the handle 7 to guide, channel, the airflow F initiated by the blower module 13 to the blower head 10.As in the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the guide channel 15 can advantageously be a single channel, so that it defines a common portion of the different paths taken by the airflow F within the hair styling appliance 1 according to the different blowing modes. Alternatively, however, several separate guide channels could be implemented, although this would compromise the simplicity of the design and manufacture of the hair styling appliance 1. Advantageously, the means for generating the airflow F according to at least two different blowing modes thus include said guide channel 15.

[0041] The blower head 10 can be designed to be removably connected to the handle 7, so that the user can separate the blower head 10 from the handle 7, for example, to clean or replace the blower head 10. Alternatively, as in the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the blower head 10 is designed to remain permanently connected to the handle 7 and is therefore not intended (under normal use) to be separated from the handle 7 by the user. This simplifies both the design and the use of the hair styling appliance 1.

[0042] Preferably, the hair styling device 1 also includes a heating element for raising the temperature of the airflow F produced by the blower module 13. Typically housed within the hair styling device 1, the heating element is advantageously arranged to be interposed in the airflow F initiated by the blower module 13. As in the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the heating element is advantageously positioned inside the guide channel 15 arranged in the handle 7. The heating element is typically an electric heating element, comprising a heating resistor formed of an electrically conductive wire (not shown) wound around an insulating core 16. Alternatively, the heating element could be housed in the blower head 10, although this would reduce the compactness of the latter.Advantageously, the hair styling appliance 1 includes means for the user to manually control and / or adjust the electrical operation of the hair styling appliance 1, and in particular the blower module 13 and / or the heating element. These are adjustment means, for example, of the toggle switch, push-button type and / or the slide or dial type, as illustrated in the figures, which the user can directly operate to electrically switch the hair styling appliance 1 on / off and to change the rotational speed of the blower module 13's fan, and therefore the speed / flow rate of the airflow F blown by the hair styling appliance 1, and / or the heating temperature of the heating element.Such manual control / adjustment means 17 can be positioned, for example, on the handle 7 or on the blower module 13, when the latter is assembled to the second end 9 of the handle 7 as in the example illustrated in the figures. The hair styling appliance 1 may also optionally include a hot / cold air switch (not shown), for example arranged on the handle 7, preferably at its first end 8, to control the switching on and / or off of the heating element. Advantageously constituting a portable power device, the hair styling appliance 1 is preferably designed to be electrically powered by mains electricity, via a power cord having a plug (not shown) at one free end.

[0043] The hair styling device 1 includes an air direction element 18 (“air distribution element”, or “air deflection element”), for directing and distributing the airflow F produced by the blower module 13 to one and / or the other (and preferably one or the other) of the first and second air outlets 2, 3 of the hair styling device 1, depending on the selected blowing mode. The air direction element 18 is typically included in the means for generating the airflow F mentioned above.Accordingly, the air direction element 18 is mounted movable inside the housing 6A of the blower head 10 at least between - a first air direction configuration (or "first air distribution configuration") in which the air direction element 18 directs the air flow F towards (and preferably only towards) the first air blower outlet 2, for example according to the first blowing mode (Figures 3, 6, 7 and 9 in particular), and - a second air direction configuration (or "second air distribution configuration") in which the air direction element 18 directs the air flow F towards (and preferably only towards) the second air blower outlet 3, for example reciprocally according to the second blowing mode (Figures 5, 8 and 12 in particular).

[0044] Arranged within the blower head 10, the air direction member 18 is therefore advantageously designed and configured to define, or at least to contribute to defining, different paths of the airflow F within the hair styling device 1, depending on its air direction configuration relative to the blower head 10. Advantageously, the air direction member 18 is configured to deflect the airflow F exiting the guide channel 15, mentioned previously, alternately towards one or the other of the first and second blower outlets 2, 3, depending on its air direction configuration relative to the blower head 10. Preferably, the air direction member 18 forms an air direction duct (or "air deflection duct," or "flush") that extends beyond one end of the handle 7, and typically beyond the first end 8 of the handle 7.

[0045] The air direction member 18 includes an air inlet 19, which is in aerodynamic connection (i.e., in communication) with the blower module 13, to collect the airflow F produced by the latter, and through which the airflow F enters the air direction member 18 in an average inlet direction. The air direction member 18 advantageously includes at least one air direction outlet 20, through which the airflow F is directed by the air direction member 18 towards one and / or the other (and preferably towards one or the other) of the first and second air blower outlets 2, 3 depending on the air direction configuration occupied by the air direction member 18 relative to the head of blowing 10. Preferably, the air direction member 18 includes a (single and) unique air direction outlet 20, to direct the air flow F, via the air direction outlet 19, towards the first air blowing outlet 2 when the air direction member 18 is in the first air direction configuration (in particular Figures 3, 6, 7 and 9) and conversely towards the second air blowing outlet 3 when the air direction member 18 is in the second air direction configuration (in particular Figures 5, 8 and 12). In the first air direction configuration, the air direction outlet 20 of the air direction member 18 is thus in aerodynamic communication with the first air blower outlet 2, while in the second air direction configuration, the air direction outlet 20 of the air direction member 18 is reciprocally in aerodynamic communication with the second air blower outlet 3.The design of the hair styling appliance 1 is thus simplified. As in the embodiment illustrated in the figures, said air direction outlet 20, or each of the air direction outlets as appropriate, is advantageously designed and configured so that the airflow F exits the air direction member 18 via the air direction outlet 20 in an average exit direction which is secant (or at least inclined with respect to), and for example substantially orthogonal, to said average air inlet direction (Figures 6 and 8).

[0046] The hair styling device 1 also includes a control system for controlling each transition of the hair styling device 1 from one of the first and second air direction configurations to the other. The control system is therefore designed to allow the user to alternately select one or the other of the airflow modes, that is, to control the transition of the hair styling device 1 from one airflow mode to another, and for example, from the first airflow mode to the second airflow mode and vice versa. In this respect, as in the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the control system is mechanically connected to the air direction element 18 to control each transition of the air direction element 18 from one of the aforementioned first and second air direction configurations to the other.By operating the control system, the user can therefore alternately select one or the other of the aforementioned at least two different blowing modes of the hair styling appliance 1. The user can thus advantageously choose through which of the first and second air outlets 2, 3 the airflow F will be blown out of the hair styling appliance 1, and thus select the operating mode of the hair styling appliance 1. The control system is advantageously separate from the manual control and / or adjustment means 17 of the electrical operation. of the hair styling appliance 1 and the hot / cold air switch that the hair styling appliance 1 may optionally include. It is advantageously possible for the user to select one of the blowing modes while another blowing mode is selected, prior to switching on the blower module 13 of the hair styling appliance 1. As will be understood from the following, the control system is advantageously integrated into the blower head 10 and is preferably positioned along its average extension axis B-B'. Preferably, at least a portion of an element of the control system forms, or at least contributes to forming, the upper (free) end of the blower head 10. This allows for easy and intuitive activation of the control system by the user.

[0047] More specifically, the housing 6A of the blower head 10 (and more generally the blower head 10 itself) comprises a first portion 10A, which extends along the average extension axis B-B' of the blower head 10 from the lower end of the blower head 10 towards the free upper end of the blower head 10. The air direction element 18 is arranged in the first portion 10A of the housing 6A of the blower head 10, such that said first portion 10A advantageously forms a portion called the "aerodynamic portion" of the blower head 10. The housing 6A of the blower head 10 (and more generally the blower head 10 itself) also comprises a second portion 10B, which extends said first portion 10A along the axis B-B' average extension of the blower head 10 and defines said free upper end of the latter.Respectively, the control system is (at least in part) arranged in the second portion 10B of the housing 6A of the blower head 10, so that said second portion 10B thus advantageously forms a portion called the "control portion" of the blower head 10.

[0048] The housing 6A of the blower head 10 comprises an inner face 21, which is therefore oriented towards the interior of the housing 6A and is opposite an outer face which advantageously defines at least a portion of an external surface of the blower head 10, and which carries at least one first peripheral wall 22. By "peripheral," it is advantageously understood here that the first peripheral wall 22 (as well as the third, fifth, sixth, and seventh peripheral walls 38, 48, 50, 51A, 51B, which will be discussed later) is carried by the inner face 21 of the housing 6A of the blower head 10 along at least part (and preferably all) of an internal contour of the housing 6A, that is to say, at least part (and preferably all) of a perimeter (or contour) of a section of the blower head 10 which extends in a mean plane secant to the B-B' axis of average extension of the blowing head 10.Preferably, the first perimeter wall 22 has an annular shape. Respectively, the . The control system includes a portion 23 which is arranged stationary (or "stationary portion" 23) relative to the housing 6A of the blower head 10 and at a distance from the free upper end of the blower head 10. Said stationary portion 23 is therefore separate from said housing 6A. Arranged inside the housing 6A of the blower head 10, and more specifically inside said control portion 10B mentioned above, said stationary portion 23 has at least a second perimeter wall 24.By "peripheral," it is advantageously understood here that said second peripheral wall 24 is supported by said stationary portion 23 of the control system by following at least part (and preferably all) of an external contour of said stationary portion 23, that is to say at least part (and preferably all) of a perimeter (or contour) of a section of said stationary portion 23 which extends in a mean plane intersecting the axis B-B' of average extension of the blower head 10 (an identical definition applies mutatis mutandis to the fourth and eighth peripheral walls 39, 52A, 52B which will be discussed later). Preferably, the second peripheral wall 24 has an annular shape.

[0049] As illustrated by example in Figures 6 to 12, the first perimeter wall 22 is arranged in contact with said second perimeter wall 24, and with at least partial (and preferably substantially total) surface overlap of the latter, to prevent the passage of air from said airflow F from said first portion 10A of the housing 6A of the blower head 10 through said second portion 10B of said housing 6A, at least along an average direction (or "average leakage direction") parallel to said average inlet direction of the airflow F. Advantageously, said first perimeter wall 22 is arranged in contact with said second perimeter wall 24, and with at least partial (and preferably substantially total) surface overlap, along the entire respective length of said first and second perimeter walls 22, 24.In other words, the first and second peripheral walls 22, 24 cooperate to form at least one airtight barrier, to prevent air leakage from said aerodynamic portion 10A of the housing 6A of the blower head 10, through said control portion 10B of said housing 6A. By "in contact," we advantageously expect here, as in all that follows, at least point contact, if not surface contact, taking into account an inevitable functional gap that may exist between the parts (typically on the order of approximately 0.1 mm to 0.3 mm).

[0050] Said first perimeter wall 22 therefore has at least one face, which is arranged in contact with a corresponding face of said second perimeter wall 24, and with at least partial (and preferably substantially total) surface overlap of this corresponding face. Said face of the first perimeter wall 22 is therefore arranged opposite said corresponding face of thesecond peripheral wall 24, and in contact (preferably plane-on-plane) with said corresponding face. The respective faces of the first and second peripheral walls 22, 24 advantageously each extend along a mean plane of extension that is secant to said mean direction of inlet of the airflow F. For example, the first peripheral wall 22 is formed in whole or in part by a first peripheral tongue (or rib) that projects from said inner face 21. Advantageously, said first peripheral tongue is made of material with one or more casing pieces forming the housing 6A of the blower head 10 (Figures 6 to 12, 15 and 16). For example, the second peripheral wall 24 is reciprocally formed in whole or in part by a second peripheral tongue (or rib) which extends outward from an external face of said stationary portion 23 of the control system towards the internal face 21 of the housing 6A of the blower head 10.Advantageously, said second peripheral tab is made of material with one or more parts forming the stationary portion 23 of the control system (Figures 6 to 12, 15 and 16). As can be understood from the foregoing, said stationary portion 23 of the control system is thus arranged at a distance from the inner face 21 of the housing 6A of the blower head 10, so that the first and second peripheral walls 22, 24 (and therefore said airtight barrier) are arranged in a free interior space provided between the stationary portion 23 of the control system and the inner face 21 of said housing 6A. By their cooperation, the first and second peripheral walls 22, 24 thus prevent air from passing through said free space. For example, said stationary portion 23 of the control system is arranged aligned along the B-B' axis of average extension of the blower head 10.

[0051] Thanks to the specific combination of the aforementioned features, the multi-mode blow-drying hair styling device 1 is thus of a particularly efficient aerodynamic design, while also being particularly practical to use. The implementation of an airtight barrier as described above makes it possible to reduce particularly effectively, if not completely, the risk of air leakage towards the control portion of the blow-drying head 10 despite the presence of the control system connected to the air distribution element 18. The improved aerodynamic efficiency of the hair styling device 1 advantageously allows the use of a less powerful blower module 13, and therefore one that is less bulky, quieter, or less expensive.Furthermore, the implementation of such an airtight barrier makes the design and manufacture of the hair styling device 1 particularly simple and inexpensive, insofar as it becomes possible in particular to avoid implementing one or more elastomeric sealing gaskets between the housing 6A of the blower head 10 and said stationary portion 23 of the control system, which would then constitute additional parts separate from the housing 6A and of . said stationary portion 23. The fact that the second peripheral wall 24 is supported by a portion 23 of the control system that is advantageously stationary relative to the housing 6A of the blower head 10, and is therefore not supported by a portion of the control system that is mobile relative to said housing 6A, contributes as such to the effectiveness of the air leakage barrier effect, but also to the simplicity of design of the hair styling appliance 1 (absence of relative movement). Furthermore, the implementation of an airtight barrier advantageously contributes to the ease and safety of use of the hair styling appliance 1 in the case where the latter includes, as envisaged above, a heating element to raise the temperature of the airflow F.Indeed, by effectively limiting the leakage of hot air towards the second portion 10B of the housing 6A of the blower head 10, such an airtight barrier advantageously allows for the simple and effective definition of an end portion of the blower head 10 forming a "cool tip," through which the user can grasp or manipulate the hair styling appliance 1, particularly during a styling operation. In particular, as will be seen below, such a design advantageously makes the user's handling of the control system not only easy but also particularly safe.

[0052] Preferably, as in the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the air distribution element 18 is designed and configured such that the average inlet direction of the airflow F is parallel to, or coincides with, the average extension axis B-B' of the blower head 10, so that said average leakage direction is itself parallel to, or coincides with, the average extension axis B-B' of the blower head 10. In turn, the first and second peripheral walls 22, 24 each generally extend along an average extension plane that is orthogonal to said average extension axis B-B' of the blower head 10. In other words, the respective faces of the first and second peripheral walls 22, 24, which are arranged in contact and overlapping with each other, therefore each preferably extend along an average extension plane that is orthogonal to the average extension axis B-B' of the blowing head 10.Such an arrangement, rather than an arrangement oblique to said B-B' axis of average extension, not only helps to further improve the effectiveness of the aforementioned barrier effect, but also to simplify the design and manufacture of the hairdressing device 1.

[0053] The air direction member 18 preferably comprises a side wall (airtight), which extends along an axis E-E' of average extension of the air direction member 18 between a first end bearing, defining, the air inlet 19 of the air direction member 18, and a second opposite end closed (and therefore airtight). Advantageously, the axis E-E' of average extension of the direction member The air 18 is substantially parallel to, or coincides with, the said average inlet direction of the air flow F. Depending on the shape and dimensions of the air direction element 18, the average extension axis E-E' of the latter can constitute, as illustrated in the figures, an average longitudinal extension axis E-E' of the air direction element 18. Advantageously, the air direction outlet 20 of the latter is provided, for example in the form of a light, through the side wall of the air direction element 18 and extends, for example, longitudinally along the average extension axis E-E' of the air direction element 18 (but not necessarily parallel to said average extension axis E-E').Thus, as mentioned previously, the air direction outlet 20 is advantageously designed and configured so that the airflow F entering through the air inlet 19 exits through the air direction outlet 20 along an average outlet direction that is secant to (or at least inclined relative to) the average inlet direction along which the airflow F enters the air direction member 18 through said air inlet 19 (Figures 6 and 8). As illustrated in the figures, the side wall of the air direction member 18 defines a hollow internal shape whose cross-section preferentially narrows from the first end towards the second end of said side wall. Thus, the air direction member 18 advantageously forms an air direction duct, defined by said side wall, whose overall internal shape is preferably frustoconical. In other words, the air direction member 18 advantageously comprises a hollow tube with a generally frustoconical internal shape, defined by said side wall. Said hollow tube typically has an axis of revolution which is advantageously formed by, or parallel to, the average extension axis E-E' of the air direction member 18. The average extension axis E-E' of the air direction member 18 advantageously coincides with the average extension axis B-B' of the blower head 10. The respective extension axes B-B' and E-E' of the blower head 10 and the air direction member 18 are advantageously collinear with the average longitudinal extension axis A-A' of the sleeve 7. The first end of said side wall X thus defines a large base with a generally frustoconical internal shape, through which the airflow F enters the air direction member 18.Such a hollow internal shape, the cross-section of which narrows from the first end towards the second end of the side wall, advantageously allows the profile of the airflow F circulating inside the air direction member 18 to be homogenized, and thus further improves the aerodynamic performance of the hair styling device 1. In the case where, as illustrated in the figures, the hair styling device 1 includes a guide channel 15 arranged inside the handle 7 to guide the airflow F to the blower head 10, said guide channel 15 has. typically an air outlet end 26 which is connected to the air inlet 19 of the air direction member 18, and which is therefore opposite an air inlet end of the guide channel 15 which is connected to the wind tunnel module 13.

[0054] Advantageously, as in the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the hair styling device 1 includes an internal piping device 27 which defines, at least in part, a first piping portion 28 to ensure an airflow connection between the air direction outlet 20 of the air direction member 18 and the first air outlet 2 when the air direction member 18 is in the first air direction configuration, and a second piping portion 29 to ensure an airflow connection between said air direction outlet 20 and the second air outlet 3 when the air direction member 18 is in the second air direction configuration. Said internal piping device 27 thus advantageously constitutes a "two-way" internal piping device (or "two-way distributor").The internal ducting device 27 is fixed within the housing 6A of the blower head 10, and in particular at least within the airflow portion 10A of said housing 6A. Conversely, the air direction element 18 is movable within the internal ducting device 27 between the first and second air direction configurations. Thus, when the air direction element 18 occupies the first air direction configuration, the air direction outlet 20 of the air direction element 18 is in aerodynamic communication with the first ducting portion 28, and therefore with the first air blower outlet 2. Conversely, the air direction element 18 (for example, its side wall) then blocks the second ducting portion 29 ([Fig. 6]).Conversely, when the air direction member 18 occupies the second air direction configuration, the air direction outlet 20 of the air direction member 18 is in aerodynamic communication with the second pipe section 29, and therefore with the second air supply outlet 3. The air direction member 18 (for example, its side wall) then blocks the first pipe section 28 ([Fig.8]).

[0055] Typically, said internal ducting device 27 defines an internal space, which opens out of the internal ducting device 27, on the one hand towards the first air outlet 2 via said first duct segment 28 and towards the second air outlet 3 via said second duct segment 29, and on the other hand, through an inlet opening (distinct from said duct segments 28, 29), through which the airflow F enters the internal ducting device 27. Advantageously, as in the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the first duct segment 28 has a useful cross-section of air passage which decreases continuously towards the first air outlet 2. Conversely, the second portion of duct 29 advantageously presents a useful air passage cross-section which decreases continuously towards the second air outlet 3. This advantageously contributes to facilitating the circulation of the air flow F towards the first air outlet 2, respectively towards the second air outlet 3, and therefore to reducing a risk of air blockage and an increase in air pressure inside said aerodynamic portion of the blower head 10, as well as the risk of air (possibly hot) escaping from said aerodynamic portion 10A.

[0056] The air direction outlet 20 of the air direction unit 18 is advantageously provided with a plurality of air deflectors 30 (straightening fins), referred to as "primary deflectors," to straighten the airflow F exiting through the air direction outlet 20 from the air inlet 19 of the air direction unit 18, and to optimally guide the airflow F towards the first air outlet 2 or the second air outlet 3, depending on the selected blowing mode. Particularly advantageous with regard to optimal straightening and guiding of the airflow F, the blower head 10 may further comprise: - of the first outlet air deflectors 31 (“first secondary air deflectors”) to straighten the air flow F directed towards the first air blower outlet 2 from the air direction outlet 20 of the air direction member 18 when the latter is in said first air direction configuration, and - of the second outlet air deflectors 32 (“second secondary air deflectors”) to straighten the initiated air flow F directed towards the second air blower outlet 3 from the air direction outlet 20 of the air direction member 18 when the latter is in said second air direction configuration.

[0057] A plurality of said air deflectors 30 of the air direction outlet 20 of the air direction member 18 is then arranged aligned with a plurality of said first outlet air deflectors 31 when the air direction member 18 is in said first air direction configuration (Figures 6 and 7), and a plurality of said air deflectors 30 of the air direction outlet 20 of the air direction member 18 being respectively arranged aligned with a plurality of said second outlet air deflectors 32 when the air direction member 18 is in said second air direction configuration ([Fig.8]). Such a selective relative alignment of the primary air deflectors and the first or second secondary air deflectors, as described above, contributes in particular to optimizing and homogenizing the blowing of the airflow F out of the hair styling device in a particularly effective manner. in the direction of the hair, regardless of which air outlet 2, 3 is used. It also helps to facilitate the flow of air F out of the hair styling appliance 1 and thus to avoid the risk of air blockage and increased air pressure inside said air-handling portion of the blower head 10, as well as the risk of air (possibly hot) escaping from said air-handling portion.

[0058] Different kinematics of the air direction member 18 and the blower head can be envisaged, depending in particular on the conformation and configuration of the air direction member 18. Preferably however, in terms of simplicity of design and use of the hair styling device 1, the blower head 10 is fixedly connected to the handle 7 of the hair styling device 1, and the air direction member 18 is mounted movable relative to the blower head 10 and the handle 7 between the first and second air direction configurations. In order in particular to simplify the design of the hair styling device 1 and to improve its compactness, the air direction element 18 and the blowing head 10 preferably mounted mobilely for rotation, pivoting, about an axis D-D' of rotation, one relative to the other between at least the said first and second air direction configurations.Preferably, said axis D-D' of rotation coincides with (collinear to), or at least parallel to, the axis E-E' of average extension of the air direction member 18, which is itself advantageously coincides with (collinear to) the axis B-B' of average extension of the blower head 10. According to one variant (not illustrated), the air direction member 18 is fixed relative to the handle 7, and the blower head 10 is then mounted to rotate about said axis D-D' of rotation relative to the air direction member 18 and the blower head 10. According to another variant, implemented in the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the air direction member 18 is mounted to rotate about said axis D-D' of rotation inside the housing 6A of the blower head 10 between the first and second direction configurations. of air. The blower head 10 is then advantageously connected in a fixed position to the handle 7.In accordance with the foregoing, this second variant proves preferable insofar as it contributes to making the hair styling device 1 simpler in design and use. Thus, as illustrated in the figures, the air direction member 18 is preferably arranged to rotate about said axis D-D' of rotation in the internal ducting device 27 between the first and second air direction configurations.

[0059] Advantageously, the control system for changing the blowing mode of the hair styling appliance 1 includes a manual control element, for example a button 33 or a dial, to allow the user to operate said control system, and thus manually select alternately one or the other of said blowing modes. Said manual control element is therefore Advantageously mobile, that is to say, capable of moving between at least two advantageously predefined positions and / or spatial orientations (relative to the rest of the hair styling appliance 1 and in particular to the housing 6A of the blow dryer head 10), typically by translation, rotation, and / or tilting under the effect of a manual mechanical action exerted on it by the user. In light of the above, the manual control element is therefore arranged at the level of the blow dryer head 10, that is to say, it is supported by (or belongs to) the blow dryer head 10, and in particular by the control portion of the housing 6A thereof, and not at the level of the handle 7. As such, this limits the risk of unintentional manipulation of the manual control element by the hand of the user holding the handle 7.Preferably, the manual control element is arranged at such a distance from the handle 7 that it cannot be reached by a finger of the user's hand holding the handle 7. While inaccessible to a finger of the user's hand holding the handle 7, the manual control element remains advantageously accessible to a finger of the user's other hand. Even more preferably, as illustrated in the figures, said manual control element is arranged substantially along an axis parallel to, or coinciding with, the average extension axis B-B' of the blower head 10, so that it is accessible to the user from the top of the blower head 10 (and therefore not via either of the first and second faces of the latter). Advantageously, said stationary portion 23 of the control system forms a guide and / or fixing piece for said manual control element. In other words, the fixed portion 23 constitutes a part of the control system that guides the manual control element, particularly during its manipulation by the user, and / or that ensures a (advantageously permanent) attachment of the manual control element to the rest of the control system. This contributes to making the design and operation of the control system simpler, more reliable, and more robust.

[0060] According to an advantageous embodiment implemented in the illustration shown in the figures, the control system of the hair styling appliance 1 is a push-push button control mechanism 33 (or "push-push kinematic control mechanism," or "push-push" button control mechanism), thus controlling each transition of the hair styling appliance 1 from one of the blowing modes to another. Intended to be operated by the user, for example manually, the control system is therefore designed and configured to transform each push exerted by the user (typically using a finger of the user) on the button 33 of the control system into a transition of the hair styling appliance 1 from one of the blowing modes to another blowing mode or, at at the very least, from one blowing mode to another. The control system button 33 then advantageously forms the manual control element mentioned previously. As illustrated in the figures, the push-push button control mechanism 33 is thus advantageously connected to the air direction element 18 to control each transition of the air direction element 18 from one to the other of the first and second air direction configurations mentioned previously. The button 33 of the push-push button control mechanism 33 typically has a contact portion 34, or interaction portion, intended to come into direct contact with the user, and in particular with a finger of the user, so that the user exerts a push against the button 33 to control the change in blowing mode. The contact portion 34 therefore defines a portion of the external surface of the button 33, oriented towards the outside of the hair styling appliance 1, and accessible to and visible to the user from outside the hair styling appliance 1. Advantageously, as illustrated in the figures, the contact portion 34 defines a free upper end of the button 33, which is opposed to a lower end of the button 33 which is arranged (permanently) inside the hair styling appliance 1. As such, the button 33 advantageously forms the movable manual control element to allow the user to act on the control mechanism.

[0061] Thanks to such a push-push button control mechanism 33, the use of the hair styling device 1 is particularly simple and intuitive, since the reproduction of a simple pushing action performed by the user against the button 33 of the control mechanism, each time in the same direction of push, controls each change of blowing mode of the hair styling device 1. Each push exerted by the user on the button 33 of the control mechanism thus controls a cyclic passage of the hair styling device 1 from a given initial blowing mode to a subsequent blowing mode, and so on, until returning to said initial blowing mode after the control mechanism has been successively activated as many times as the hair styling device 1 has different blowing modes.Assuming that the means for generating the airflow F of the hair styling appliance 1 are designed to generate the airflow F according to only two different blowing modes, each push exerted by the user on the button 33 thus controls the alternating passage from a first operating mode of the hair styling appliance 1 (first blowing mode) to a second operating mode of the hair styling appliance 1 (second blowing mode), then from the first operating mode to the second operating mode of the hair styling appliance 1, and so on.

[0062] The hair styling device 1 advantageously comprises a housing 35, which is provided with an access opening 36, inscribed in an opening plane, and through which said housing typically opens from an external surface of the hair styling device 1. As illustrated in the figures, it is therefore an internal housing 35, arranged inside the hair styling device 1, and in particular therefore inside the second portion 10B (control portion) of the housing 6A of the blow-dry head 10, and which is open to the outside of the hair styling device 1 by means of said access opening 36. Typically, the access opening 35 is delimited by the housing 6A of the blow-dry head 10, i.e. that the access opening 36 forms a hole in the housing 6A. The said access opening 36, and in particular a peripheral edge thereof, advantageously defines the said free upper end of the blowing head 10.The button 33 of the push-push control mechanism 33 is advantageously mounted movable, in said housing 35, with translation in the direction of the interior of said housing 35 along a direction C-C' of translation, preferably orthogonal to the opening plane, between: . - a first stop position, called the released position (or "high position" or even "rest position"), which advantageously constitutes a stable (released) position (figures 1 to 3, 5 to 10, 12 and 17), and - a second stop position, called the pressed position (or "low position" or "activation position") (figures 4, 11 and 18), in which the contact portion 34 of the button 33 is arranged inside said housing 33.

[0063] Advantageously, as illustrated by example in the figures, said housing 35 extends longitudinally (axially) from said access opening 36 towards the interior of the blower head 10 of the hair styling appliance 1, along said direction C-C' of translation of the button 33. Said released position and pressed position constitute extreme positions of the button 33 relative to the housing 35, and define a maximum travel of the button 33 in translation along said direction C-C'. Generally, the control mechanism can be designed and configured so that, in the released position, the contact portion 34 of the button 33 is arranged above, flush with, or below the external surface of the hair styling appliance 1 (and therefore typically above, flush with, or below the plane of the opening of the access opening 36 to the housing 35).Preferably, however, as illustrated in the figures, the control mechanism is designed and configured so that the contact portion 34 of the button 33 is (fully) arranged outside the housing 6A of the blower head 10, when the button 33 is in the released position, i.e. that the contact portion 34 of the button 33 is then arranged above the external surface of the housing 6A of the blower head 10. Thus, in the released position and therefore in the absence of any thrust exerted. The button 33 advantageously extends beyond the external surface of the blower head 10, typically beyond the external surface of its housing 6A. This facilitates visual and / or tactile identification of the button 33, access to the button 33, and its operation by the user. In any case, the control mechanism is advantageously designed and configured so that the contact portion 33 of the button 33 is positioned below the external surface of the hair styling appliance 1 (and therefore below the opening plane of the access port 36 to the housing 35) once the button 33 has reached the depressed position due to a push exerted by the user to switch the hair styling appliance 1 from one blowing mode to another. In other words, the button 33 retracts completely into the housing 35, and therefore into the hair styling appliance 1, when the button 33 moves to and into the pressed position. Thus, to change the blow-drying mode of the hair styling appliance 1, the user must insert at least one finger into the housing 35 through the access opening 36. The risk of an unintentional change in the blow-drying mode due to interaction of the button 33 with the user or a surrounding element is therefore particularly limited.

[0064] Ensuring effective limitation of hot air leaks towards the second portion 10B of the housing 6A of the blower head 10, the implementation of first and second peripheral walls 22, 23 as described above allows particularly safe and comfortable handling of the button 33 (manual control element of the control system), since the temperature of the housing 35 and of the contact portion 33 of the button 33 can thus be kept low enough not to generate a risk of discomfort or burning for a finger of the user.

[0065] Preferably, the housing 35 has a guide portion for the button 21, which is delimited by a tubular side wall 37, preferably solid (i.e., not perforated), along which the contact portion 34 of the button 33 moves when the button 33 translates from said released position to the pressed position (and conversely from said pressed position to said released position). As such, said guide portion of the button 33 therefore belongs to said control system. Said guide portion thus advantageously extends from the access opening 36 of said housing 35 towards the interior of the hair styling appliance 1, in an extension direction advantageously parallel to the direction C-C' of translation of the button 33.Thus, the said guide portion advantageously constitutes at least a portion of the housing 35 which is laterally closed, which advantageously allows the contact portion 34 of the button 33 to be isolated.

[0066] Advantageously, the inner face 21 of the housing 6A of the blower head 10 has at least one third peripheral wall 38, and said tubular side wall 37 carries in return at least one fourth perimeter wall 39. Said third and fourth perimeter walls 38, 39 are then arranged in contact with each other and with (at least partial) surface overlap, to prevent the passage of air from said airflow F towards the free upper end of the blower head 10 at least along an average direction parallel to said average inlet direction of the airflow F. In other words, the third and fourth perimeter walls 38, 39 cooperate to thus form at least one airtight barrier, to prevent air leakage towards the free upper end of the blower head 10 at least along an average direction parallel to said average inlet direction of the airflow F.In particular, the risk of air leaks between the inner face 21 of the housing 6A of the blower head 10 and the tubular side wall 37, and therefore the potential for overheating of the latter, is thus further limited. The third peripheral wall 38 therefore has at least one face arranged in contact with a corresponding face of the fourth peripheral wall 39, and with at least partial (and preferably substantially total) surface overlap of this corresponding face. This face of the third peripheral wall 38 is therefore arranged opposite the corresponding face of the fourth peripheral wall 39, and in contact (preferably plane-on-plane) with this corresponding face. The respective faces of the third and fourth peripheral walls 38, 39 therefore each extend along a mean plane of extension that intersects the mean inlet direction of the airflow F.For example, the third peripheral wall 38 is formed in whole or in part by a third peripheral tongue (or rib) that projects from said inner face 21. Advantageously, said third peripheral tongue is made of material with one or more casing pieces forming the housing 6A of the blower head 10. For example, the fourth peripheral wall 39 is conversely formed in whole or in part by a fourth peripheral tongue (or rib) that projects from an outer face of said tubular side wall 37 towards the inner face 21 of the housing 6A of the blower head 10. Advantageously, said fourth peripheral tongue is made of material with one or more pieces forming the tubular side wall 37.Preferably, for the reasons set forth in connection with the first and second peripheral walls 22, 23, said third and fourth peripheral walls 38, 39 each extend, generally, along an average extension plane which is orthogonal to said average extension axis B-B' of the supply head 10. In other words, the respective faces of said third and fourth peripheral walls 38, 39, which are arranged in contact and overlapping with each other, therefore each preferentially extend along an average extension plane which is orthogonal to the average extension axis B-B' of the supply head 10. Preferably, the third. Peripheral wall 38 has an annular shape. Preferably, the fourth peripheral wall 39 has an annular shape.

[0067] As illustrated in the figures, the tubular side wall 37 typically extends from a lower end towards the access opening 36 of said housing 35. Particularly advantageously, the lower end 40 of said tubular side wall 37 is arranged in contact with an upper face of the first perimeter wall 22, and advantageously along the entire length of said first perimeter wall 22. Conversely, the second perimeter wall 24 is arranged in contact with an opposite lower face of said first perimeter wall 22, and at least partially overlapping the latter (i.e. at least partially overlapping said lower face), advantageously along the entire respective lengths of said first and second perimeter walls 22, 24.In this way, the first peripheral wall 22 is closely sandwiched between the tubular side wall 37 and the corresponding second peripheral wall 24, further improving the air barrier effect of the first and second peripheral walls 22, 24 (Figures 6 to 12, 17 and 18). This further enhances the aerodynamic efficiency and safety of use of the hairdressing appliance 1. Alternatively, the lower end 40 of the tubular side wall 37 can be arranged in contact with an upper face of the second peripheral wall 24, advantageously along its entire length. Conversely, the first peripheral wall 22 is then arranged in contact with an opposite lower face of the second peripheral wall 24, and at least partially overlapping it (i.e.at least partially covering said lower face), and this advantageously along the entire respective length of the first and second peripheral walls 22, 24. .

[0068] Advantageously, the push-push button control mechanism 33 is designed and configured to control, in a purely mechanical manner, each movement of the air direction member 18 from one of the first and second air direction configurations to the other, and thus each movement of the hair styling appliance 1 from one of the blowing modes to another. The control mechanism is therefore designed and configured to mechanically transform each push exerted by the user (for example, using a finger of the user) on the button 33 of the control mechanism into a movement of the hair styling appliance 1 from one of the blowing modes to another, or at the very least, from one of the blowing modes to another. The push-push button control mechanism 33 is therefore advantageously devoid of electrical or electromechanical components, making its design particularly simple, economical, and reliable. As in the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the button 3 of the push-push control mechanism. The push-push mechanism is thus advantageously mechanically connected to the air direction member 18 to mechanically transform each movement of the button 33 of the push-push control mechanism, under the effect of a push exerted on the button 33 (by the user), into a relative movement of the air direction member 18 with respect to the blower head 10 from one to the other of the first and second air direction configurations. It is therefore advantageously not an electromechanical push-push control mechanism, which would establish an electromechanical link between the button of the control mechanism and the air direction member; that is to say, which would be designed to transform a mechanical push exerted on the button by the user into an electrical command of an electric actuator that would be connected to the air direction member 18.The implementation of such a purely mechanical control mechanism advantageously allows the user to change the airflow mode of the hair styling appliance 1 even when it is not powered on (i.e., when the hair styling appliance 1 is switched off or even unplugged). This improves the safety of using the hair styling appliance 1, as it reduces the risk of an unexpected burst of air blowing in a direction not anticipated by the user, for example, towards their face. The hair styling appliance 1 remains easy to use, however, since the user retains the ability to change the airflow mode while it is operating.Furthermore, the implementation of a purely mechanical control for changing the blowing mode, rather than an electromechanical control, tends to improve the operational reliability of the hair styling device 1, and to reduce its manufacturing and operating costs.

[0069] According to one embodiment (not illustrated), the button of the push-push control mechanism is a bistable button. Typically, the control mechanism is then designed and configured so that the button is capable of moving from a first stable position (released position) to a second unstable position (referred to as the unstable pressed position) under the effect of an initial push exerted by the user, and then automatically returning to a third stable position (referred to as the stable pressed position), intermediate between said first stable and second unstable positions, under the effect of an elastic return element when the initial push exerted by the user ceases. The button then remains temporarily locked in said stable pressed position, corresponding to one of the blow-drying modes of the hair styling appliance 1.Conversely, the control mechanism is then designed and configured so that the button is able to evolve from the third stable pressed position to the second unstable pressed position under the effect of a second push exerted by the user, which is consecutive to the first push and which allows the button to be unlocked, and then to return to the first released position. stable, under the effect of an elastic return element, when the second push exerted by the user ceases. For example, such a bistable push-push button control mechanism can implement a mechanism, a kinematic, called "cardioid". According to a more preferred variant, implemented in the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the button 33 of the push-push button control mechanism is a monostable button. The control mechanism is therefore preferably designed and configured so that the button 33 is able to move from a first stable position (released position) to a second unstable position (pressed position) under the effect of a push exerted by the user, and then automatically return from the pressed position to the released position when the push exerted by the user ceases, under the effect of an elastic return element 41.This "monostable" variant proves more advantageous than the aforementioned "bistable" variant because, since the button 33 systematically returns to the released position, it remains equally accessible to the user regardless of the selected blowing mode. Furthermore, such a "monostable" variant is simpler to design and more robust in use. Therefore, regardless of whether the "bistable" or "monostable" variant is considered, the push-push button control mechanism 33 advantageously includes at least one elastic return element 41 to automatically return the button 33 from the pressed position to the released position. Preferably, said elastic return element 41 is a spring, and in particular a tension, compression, or flexural spring (leaf spring).

[0070] As in the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the contact portion 34 of the button 33 is preferably provided with a concave area, i.e. an area having a concavity oriented outwards from the hair styling device 1. The presence of such a concave area, preferably positioned in the center of said contact portion 34, advantageously allows the placement of an end of a fingertip, and in particular a portion of the fingertip, on the contact portion 34 of the button 33, to help to keep the finger thus positioned for the efficient application of a pushing force against the button 33 to control the change of blowing mode, and this even in particular without visual contact with the button 34.

[0071] According to one embodiment (not illustrated), the control mechanism can be designed and configured to transform each push exerted by the user on the control mechanism button into a switch of the hair styling appliance 1 from one of the blow-drying modes to another. In this case, a single push exerted by the user on the control mechanism button switches the hair styling appliance 1 from one of the blow-drying modes to another. Once the hair styling appliance 1 is in this other blow-drying mode, The user can then stop pressing the button. According to another, more preferred embodiment, as illustrated in the figures, the control mechanism is designed and configured to transform each press of the button 33 by the user into a switch of the hair styling appliance 1 from one blow-drying mode to another, and then to automatically complete the switch of the hair styling appliance 1 to the other blow-drying mode by the automatic return of the button 33 to its stable, released position when the user stops pressing it. In other words, the change of blow-drying mode is initiated only by the user pressing the button 33 and then automatically completed by the control mechanism. This allows, in particular, for an easier, more intuitive and faster change of blowing mode for the user.

[0072] When, as in the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the air direction element 18 is advantageously mounted to rotate and pivot about said axis D-D' of rotation between at least the first and second air direction configurations, the control system, and for example the push-push button control mechanism 33 mentioned above, then controls the passage of the air direction element 18 from one of the first and second air direction configurations to the other by rotating the air direction element 18 through a predetermined angle of rotation about said axis D-D' of rotation. Preferably, the air direction element 18 is mounted to rotate relative to the handle 7 of the hair styling device 1, the axis D-D' of rotation of the air direction element 18 being preferably parallel to, or preferably coinciding with, the longitudinal extension axis A-A' of the handle 7.

[0073] In order to ensure a mechanical connection, as mentioned previously, between the button 33 of the push-push control mechanism and the air direction member 18, and thus to transmit to the latter the mechanical pushing force exerted by the user on the button 33, the control mechanism preferably comprises a rotating coupling piece 42, forming a cam and mechanically connected to the air direction member 18 on the one hand, and preferably on the other hand to the button 33. The button 33 is advantageously secured to at least one pin 43 (or roller) forming a follower which cooperates with the cam so that each push exerted on the button 33 causes the rotating coupling piece 42 to rotate about an axis of rotation and a corresponding rotation of the air direction member 18 about its axis D-D' of rotation.Preferably, as in the embodiments illustrated in the figures and as mentioned previously, the button 33 of the push-push control mechanism 33 is mounted for rectilinear translation, and . preferably, the movement of the button 33 is purely rectilinear, along the direction C-C' of translation, relative to the rest of the hair styling appliance 1, and in particular relative to the housing 6A of the blower head 10, between the released position and the pressed position. Thus, the movement of the button 33 under the effect of a push exerted by the user is a purely rectilinear translational movement, that is, along a straight sliding joint, in the same average direction as the pushing force exerted by the user. The operation of the button 33 is therefore particularly easy and intuitive for the user, regardless of the position and orientation of the button 33 relative to the user when using the hair styling appliance 1.Alternatively, although less advantageous in terms of design simplicity and size, as well as ergonomics, the button could, for example, be mounted to rotate or pivot, or to rocker, and be shaped and configured so that the contact portion of the button describes a curved arc under the pressure exerted by the user. Even more preferably, the button 33 is arranged relative to the rotating coupling piece 42 such that the C-C' direction of rectilinear translation of the button 33 coincides with the axis of rotation of the rotating coupling piece 42.Thus, each push exerted by the user on the button 33 results in a rectilinear translational displacement of the button 33 and, preferably directly, a rotation of the rotating coupling piece 42 in the direction C-C' of translation of the button 33, according to a design which is particularly simple and compact due to the preferential absence of an intercalated piece between the button 33 and the rotating coupling piece 42. Alternatively, the direction C-C' of rectilinear translation of the button 33 could be provided parallel to the axis of rotation of the rotating coupling piece 42 and offset from the latter, or even provided oblique or orthogonal to the axis of rotation of the rotating coupling piece 42, at the expense however of the simplicity of design and the compactness of the control mechanism.Advantageously, the rotating coupling piece 42 is fixed against rotation relative to the air direction member 18, the axis of rotation of the rotating coupling piece 42 coinciding with the respective axis D-D' of rotation of the air direction member 18. Thus, each movement of the button 33 under the effect of a push exerted by the user causes the rotating coupling piece 42 and the air direction member 18 to rotate simultaneously, by the predetermined angle of rotation, around a common axis of rotation. This contributes to the simplicity and reliability of the design and operation of the hair styling appliance 1. For example, as illustrated in the figures, the rotating coupling piece 42 and the air direction member 18 can be assembled by complementary shapes and secured to each other by screwing or by clipping / snapping. bonding. Alternatively, the rotating coupling piece 42 and the air direction member 18 could possibly form together as a monolithic piece.

[0074] Preferably, as in the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the rotating coupling piece 42 more specifically forms a grooved drum cam. The rotating coupling piece 42 thus comprises at least one cylindrical portion of revolution, which is provided with a groove 44 forming a cam track delimited by two opposing lateral walls of the groove 44 and intended to be traversed by the follower pin 43 attached to the button 33. The pin 43 is thus captive within the groove 44, which helps to ensure a reliable mechanical connection between the button 33 and the rotating coupling piece 42. Even more preferably, the groove 44 is peripheral, extending around the entire circumference of the cylindrical portion of revolution, and closed upon itself. The rotation of the rotating coupling part 42 around its axis of rotation can thus be carried out in the same direction of rotation with each command to change the configuration of the air direction, and therefore the blowing mode.

[0075] For example, in the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the button 33 is mounted for straight-line (pure) translation in its C-C' direction of translation (sliding joint), which coincides with the axis of rotation of the rotating coupling part 42. Preferably, the C-C' direction of straight-line translation is parallel to, or coincides with, the average extension axis B-B' of the blower head 10, said average extension axis B-B' being itself advantageously parallel to, or coincides with, the rotation axis D-D' of the air direction member 18, said rotation axis D-D' being itself advantageously parallel to, or coincides with, the average longitudinal extension axis A-A' of the handle 7. This advantageously results, particularly when the four axes and directions mentioned above are coincident, in a particularly simple and a particularly compact hair styling device. The button 33 advantageously comprises a circular cross-sectional portion of a lateral skirt 45, of revolution along the rectilinear translation direction C-C', which is arranged parallel to the cylindrical portion of revolution of the rotating coupling piece 42, at least partially overlapping said cylindrical portion. The button 33 is connected not to a single pin 43, but to two pins 43 forming followers, arranged on either side of the rectilinear translation direction C-C', in order to further improve the reliability of the mechanical connection between the button 33 and the rotating coupling piece 42. A free end portion of each of the pins 44 is housed in the groove 44 of the grooved drum cam formed here by the rotating coupling piece 42.

[0076] In order to ensure that the button 33 is locked against rotation relative to the rest of the hair styling appliance 1, and in particular relative to the blower head 10 of the latter, and to guide the translational movement of the button 33 along the direction C-C' of In rectilinear translation, a portion of each of the pins 43 is housed within a respective oblong guide slot 46 formed in the stationary portion 23 of the control system. As in the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the stationary portion 23 of the control system can advantageously form a component integral with the aforementioned internal channeling device 37 (Figures 13 and 14). For example, the stationary portion 23 can have a generally tubular shape, inside which the rotating coupling piece 42 is housed, and in which the lateral skirt portion 45 of the button 33 slides (Figures 13 and 14). Thus, as previously considered, the stationary portion 23 of the control system here forms a guide and fixing piece for the button 33 (manual control element). To facilitate the assembly of the hair styling device 1, the pins 43 can each be defined by a cylindrical pin press-fitted into an orifice provided through the wall of the side skirt portion 45 of the button 33, once the button 33 is assembled overlapping the cylindrical portion of revolution of the rotating coupling piece 45, so that one portion of the pins defining such a follower-forming pin X extends radially inside the button 33, while an opposite portion of the pins extends radially outside the button 33 and is captured in one of the oblong guide slots 46.

[0077] Advantageously, the push-push button control mechanism 33 includes an elastic return element 41, as previously mentioned, such as, for example, a compression spring. The elastic return element 41 is configured and arranged to automatically return the button 33 to its stable released position (unpressed position) when the user ceases to push on the button 33. As illustrated in the figures, the compression spring can be arranged between an inner surface of the button 33 and a surface of the rotating coupling piece 41.The cam formed by the rotating coupling piece 42 is preferably shaped and configured so that the rotation of the air direction member 18 according to said predetermined angle of rotation, which allows the hair styling device 1 to pass from one blowing mode to another by a corresponding passage of the air direction member 18 from one air direction configuration to another, is achieved for only a first part of said predetermined angle of rotation, by a movement of the button 33 of the push-push control mechanism under the effect of a push exerted by the user on the button 33, then, for the rest of said predetermined angle of rotation, by a movement in the opposite direction of the button 33 under the joint effect of the elastic return member 41 and the cam, when the push exerted by the user ceases. Thus, the change in blowing mode is only initiated by a push exerted by the user on button 33, as previously mentioned as a preferred variant, the . The change in blowing mode is automatically finalized by the control mechanism after the user releases pressure on button 33. The user therefore only needs to exert a fraction of the effort required to rotate the air direction element 18 to the predetermined angle to switch between its different air direction configurations. As mentioned above, this allows for a simpler, more intuitive, and faster change in blowing mode for the user.More preferably, the cam is shaped and configured so that the rotation of the air direction member 18 according to said predetermined angle of rotation is achieved for 50% or less (i.e. for at most 50%, and for example for only 30%, 40% or 50%) of said predetermined angle of rotation, by a movement of the button 32 of the control mechanism under the effect of a push exerted on the button 32, and then, for the remainder (i.e. 50% or more, for example for 50%, 60% or 70%) of said predetermined angle of rotation, by a movement in the opposite direction of the button 33 under the combined effect of the elastic return member 41 and the cam, when the push exerted ceases.

[0078] Such a feature can be achieved, for example, by modulating the cam track profile defined by the groove 44 of the grooved drum cam mentioned above, to define at least two consecutive cam track portions, forming ramps of opposite slopes, and whose path by the follower pin 43 causes the air direction member 18 to rotate by the predetermined angle of rotation as follows. First, when the user presses the button 33 to move it from the released position to the pressed position, the pin 43 travels a first cam track portion by sliding against one of the lateral walls of the groove 44, which forms a first ramp, thus causing the rotating coupling piece 42 to rotate by a first angle of rotation. Then, when the user stops pushing on the button 33, the elastic return element 41 automatically returns the button 33 to its released position. The pin 43 then travels a second portion of the cam track, sliding against the other side wall of the groove 44, which forms a second ramp with a slope opposite to that of the first ramp. The pin 43 is pressed against this second ramp by the elastic return element 41, thus forcing the rotating coupling piece 42 to rotate in the same direction by a second angle of rotation. The slope of the first ramp is chosen to be equal to or steeper than the slope of the second ramp, so that the first angle of rotation is less than the second angle of rotation. The sum of the first and second angles of rotation corresponds to the predetermined angle of rotation. Thus, the first angle of rotation corresponds to the movement initiated by the user's push, . while the second angle of rotation corresponds to the complementary automatic movement described previously.

[0079] For example, as in the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the transition of the air direction member 18 from one to the other of the first and second air direction configurations is achieved by rotating the air direction member 18 about its axis D-D' of rotation by a predetermined angle of rotation of 180°. Thus, by rotating 360° about its axis D-D' of rotation under the effect of two successive pushes exerted on the button 33, the air direction member 18 can advantageously change its angular configuration twice, alternating between said first and second air direction configurations. The grooved drum cam can then be advantageously shaped and configured so that the rotation of the air direction member 18 according to said predetermined angle of rotation is achieved for 90° (first angle of rotation) only (i.e. 50%) by a pure rectilinear translational movement of the button 33, from its released (stable) position to its depressed (unstable) position, under the effect of a push exerted by the user on the button 33, and then for the remaining 90° by a pure rectilinear translational movement in the opposite direction of the button 33, from its depressed (unstable) position to its released (stable) position, under the combined effect of the elastic return member 41 and the grooved drum cam, when the push exerted by the user ceases.

[0080] Advantageously, the internal ducting device 27 described above has an upper external surface portion 47, oriented towards the free upper end of the blower head 10. As illustrated in the figures, said upper external surface portion 47 can thus preferentially form an annular upper wall of the internal ducting device 27. Advantageously, said upper external surface portion 47 defines an upper end of the internal ducting device 27. Conversely, the inner face 21 of the housing 6A of the blower head 10 has a fifth peripheral wall 48.The upper external surface portion 47 is then preferably arranged in contact with the fifth peripheral wall 48, and at least partially overlapping it, advantageously along the entire length of said fifth peripheral wall 48, to prevent the passage of air from the airflow F from the first portion 10A of the housing 6A through said second portion 10B of the housing 6A at least in an average direction parallel to said average inlet direction of the airflow F. This therefore contributes to further enhancing the aerodynamic efficiency and the safety of use of the hair styling device 1, by creating an airtight barrier between the internal ducting device 27 and the control portion 10B of the housing 6A of the blower head 10. For example, as in the illustrated embodiment. In the figures, said fifth peripheral wall is formed in whole or in part by a fifth peripheral tongue (or rib) which extends projecting from said inner face 21. Advantageously, the fifth peripheral tongue 48 is made of material with one or more hood pieces forming the housing 6A of the blower head 10. Preferably, the fifth peripheral wall 48 has an annular shape.

[0081] Advantageously, the internal ducting device 27 preferably has a lower external surface portion 49, oriented towards the handle 7 and opposite to the aforementioned upper external surface portion 47. As in the embodiment illustrated in the figures, said lower external surface portion 47 can thus form an annular lower wall of said internal ducting device 27. Advantageously, said lower external surface portion 49 defines a lower end of the internal ducting device 27. Conversely, the inner face of the housing 6A of the blower head 10 advantageously has a sixth peripheral wall 50.The lower external surface portion 49 is then preferably arranged in contact with, and at least partially overlapping, the sixth peripheral wall 50, to prevent the passage of air from the airflow F, from the first portion 10A of the housing 6A of the blower head 10 (the aerodynamic portion), towards the handle 7 at least along an average direction parallel to the average direction of the airflow inlet. Preferably, the sixth peripheral wall 50 has an annular shape. Thus, the lower external surface portion 49 and the sixth peripheral wall 50 cooperate to form an airtight barrier that limits, if not completely prevents, the risk of air leakage inside the housing 6 of the hair styling appliance 1 towards its handle 7. This therefore further enhances the aerodynamic efficiency and the safety of use of the hair styling appliance 1.

[0082] Preferably, the inner face 21 of the housing 6A of the blower head 10 carries peripheral seventh walls 51A, 51B, spaced and staggered along said axis B-B' of average extension of the blower head 10. Conversely, the aforementioned guide channel 15 (“guide tube”) advantageously carries peripheral eighth walls 52A, 52B spaced and staggered along said axis B-B' of average extension of the blower head 10. As can be seen in particular in Figures 5 to 12, each of said peripheral seventh walls 51A, 51B is arranged in contact (preferably plane-on-plane) with one of said corresponding peripheral eighth walls 52A, 52B and with at least partial surface overlap of the latter, to prevent the passage of air from said airflow F from said first portion (aerodynamic portion) of the housing 6A of the blower head 10 towards the handle 7 along an average direction parallel to said average direction of inlet of the airflow F.Advantageously, the said seventh and eighth peripheral walls 51 A, . 51B, 52A, and 52B are of a design broadly similar to that of the first and second perimeter walls 22 and 24 described previously. Thus, what has been described previously concerning the first and second perimeter walls 22 and 24 applies advantageously, mutatis mutandis, to the seventh and eighth perimeter walls 51A, 51B, 52A, and 52B.

[0083] As seen by example in Figures 5 to 12, said seventh and eighth peripheral walls 51 A, 51B, 52A, 52B are arranged in a free interior space of the housing 6A of the blower head 10 provided between the guide channel 15 and the inner face 21 of said housing 6A. Particularly advantageously, as in the embodiment illustrated in the figures, said seventh and eighth peripheral walls 51 A, 51B, 52A, 52B are arranged in the immediate vicinity of an upper end zone of the guide channel 15 (delimited by the air outlet end 26 of the latter), at the level of which the air inlet 19 of the air distribution element 18 is connected to the guide channel 15.The seventh and eighth peripheral walls 51A, 51B, 52A, and 52B therefore cooperate in pairs to form at least one pair of airtight barriers, preventing air leakage from the "aerodynamic portion" 10A of the blower head housing 6A 10 towards the inside of the handle 7, and in particular between the guide channel 15 and the inner face of the housing 6A. This proves particularly useful when, as in the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the air distribution element 18 forms an air direction duct and is mounted for rotation within the blower head housing 6A 10, and relative to the guide channel 15. This further enhances the aerodynamic efficiency and safety of use of the hair styling device 1.In particular, this prevents hot air from leaking between the guide channel 15 and the inner face 21 of said housing 6A towards the inside of the handle 7, which would uncomfortably or even dangerously heat the gripping surface of the handle 7. In particular, said seventh and eighth peripheral walls may respectively be formed in whole or in part by seventh and eighth peripheral tabs (or ribs) which extend outward from said inner face 21, respectively outward from an outer face of the guide channel 15 oriented opposite the inner face 21 of the housing 6A of the blower head 10.

[0084] In order to further improve the practicality and intuitiveness of the hair styling appliance 1, the first and second air outlets 2, 3 are preferably arranged opposite each other, on either side of a plane PI in which is inscribed an average extension direction of the hair styling appliance 1 (or, where applicable, one of its average extension directions). This average extension direction therefore advantageously corresponds to an average extension direction of a portion of the appliance. Hair styling device 1 which carries said air blow-out outlets 2, 3. Said average extension direction of the hair styling device 1 thus preferably corresponds to the average extension axis B-B' of the blow-out head 10. The air blow-out outlets 2, 3 are therefore preferentially arranged opposite each other, on either side of a plane PI in which the average extension axis B-B' of the blow-out head 10 is inscribed. In this way, the first and second air blow-out outlets 2, 3 are advantageously not simultaneously visible to the user when the latter looks head-on at the first air blow-out outlet 2, respectively the second air blow-out outlet 3.The user can easily use the hair styling device 1 alternately according to the first blowing mode or according to the second blowing mode, typically by a simple 180° rotation of the handle 7 of the hair styling device 1 to orient the corresponding of the air blowing outlets 2, 3 towards the hair to be treated, in the preferential case where the blowing head 10 is fixedly connected to the handle 7 and where the air direction member 18 is mobile to rotate relative to the blowing head 10 and the handle 7. .

[0085] Preferably, the hair styling device 1 further includes an indicator system, comprising a visual selection indicator, to provide the user with visual information as to which of the blow-drying modes is selected. The implementation of such an indicator system is particularly advantageous in the preferred case, illustrated by example in the figures, where the button 33 of the control mechanism is a monostable button, i.e., a button that always occupies the same rest position, regardless of the operating mode of the device 1. As in the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the indicator system can be a mechanical indicator system, i.e., an indicator system whose change of state is controlled purely mechanically to reflect the selected blow-drying mode.Accordingly, the indicator system preferably comprises at least one opening 53A, 53B (through-hole, optionally closed by a transparent element) formed in one face of the control mechanism's button 33, and an indicator piece 54, which is housed at least partially in a free space provided inside the button 33 and which is movable relative to said opening 53A, 53B so as to be visible or not, or to be visible in a different way (from outside the device 1), through said opening 53A, 53B depending on which of the blowing modes is selected. Advantageously, the face of the button 33 in which said opening 53A, 53B is formed is a face that is visible to the user regardless of the blowing mode selected. Even more advantageously, as in the embodiment illustrated in the figures, said face of the button 33 carries the contact portion 34 of the latter mentioned above.Even more preferably, the indicator system includes at least two openings. 53A, 53B (distinct) openings are provided in the face of the button 33, the indicator piece 54 being mounted movable relative to the button 33 so as to be visible or not, or to be visible in a different way (from outside the device 1), alternately through one or the other of the openings 53A, 53B depending on which of the blowing modes is selected. More generally, the indicator system may advantageously include as many openings 53A, 53B as the hair styling device 1 has different blowing modes. The openings 53A, 53B may have the same shape ([Fig. 19]), or different, distinctive shapes.

[0086] For example, as in the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the indicator piece 54 can be mechanically connected to the air direction member 18 via the rotating coupling piece 42, and prevented from rotating relative to it, such that the rotation of the rotating coupling piece 35 causes a corresponding rotation of the indicator piece 54. The indicator piece 54 may advantageously include at least one arm or disc 55, which extends radially about an axis of rotation of the indicator piece 54, and whose upper face, oriented towards the face of the button 33 carrying the openings 53A, 53B, has a colored (or otherwise marked) area 56. The colored area 56 then forms said visual selection indicator. The rotating coupling piece 42 being advantageously fixed against rotation relative to the air direction member 18, the axis of rotation of the rotating coupling piece 42 being coincident with the respective axis D-D' of rotation of the air direction member 18, a rotation of the air direction member 18 by said predetermined angle of rotation thus entails a corresponding rotation of the indicator piece 42 by the same predetermined angle of rotation. The openings 53A, 53B are advantageously configured and arranged such that: - when the air direction member 18 occupies the first air direction configuration, a colored area 56 of the upper face of the disc 55 of the indicator piece 54 is arranged opposite one of the openings 53A, 53B so as to be visible to the user through it ([Fig. 19], left), then. - when the air direction member 18 occupies the second air direction configuration by rotation of said predetermined rotation angle, said coloured area 56 is then arranged opposite the other of the openings 53A, 53B so as to be visible to the user through the latter ([Fig.19], right).

[0087] As already mentioned previously, the predetermined angle of rotation is 180° in the example illustrated in the figures, and the air direction member 18 advantageously changes its angular configuration twice, alternating between the first and second air direction configurations, when it is rotated 360° about its axis D-D' of rotation under the effect of two successive pushes exerted on the button 33. As illustrated in the figures, the openings 53A, 53B are advantageously arranged on either side of the coincident axes of rotation of the air direction member 18, the rotating coupling piece 42 and the indicator piece 56. The indicator piece 54 here includes a disc 57, which extends radially with respect to the axis of rotation of the indicator piece 56, and whose upper face, oriented towards the face of the button 33 carrying the openings 53A, 53B has a colored area 56 which occupies half of the upper surface of the disc, for example.

[0088] Obviously, other designs and configurations of the indicator system could alternatively be considered. In particular, one could alternatively consider implementing an indicator system comprising a visual selection indicator light, and therefore electrically controlled. Furthermore, while in the embodiment illustrated in the figures the visual selection indicator is visible from the top of the blower head 10 of the hair styling appliance 1, it can alternatively and advantageously be provided that the indicator system comprises a visual selection indicator, illuminated or not, which is alternatively visible from the side of said first and second faces 4, 5 which carries the air blower outlet 2, 3 corresponding to the selected blowing mode, so as to make the hair styling appliance 1 even more practical and intuitive to use.

[0089] It should be noted that the use of the terms "first", "second", "third", "fourth", "fifth", "sixth", "seventh" and "eighth" employed in the preceding text is not intended to introduce any technical limitation, to indicate any degree of order or relative importance, but solely to facilitate understanding of the invention. As such, these terms may be omitted entirely where there is no possibility of confusion.
