Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Clothing, in particular underwear, in several removable parts
[0001] The invention relates to a garment, in particular an undergarment in several removable parts.
[0002] The invention will be described more particularly with regard to a pair of panties and a bra.
[0003] It is known to be clothing or underwear in several removable parts.
[0004] For example, there are bras with removable cups for breastfeeding. For such bras, the cups are each attached by two snap fasteners on the front of the back band and by one snap fastener at the top of each strap, with multiple snap positions, as illustrated, for example, in US patent 6319092. However, this design is not aesthetically pleasing at the snap fastener at the top of the strap, particularly when wearing a garment over it that may be partially transparent, or simply because it creates added bulk. Furthermore, if the wearer's back size increases slightly during breastfeeding, she is forced to change bra sizes and therefore buy a new bra.
[0005] There are also garments such as one-piece swimsuits with removable bottoms and tops, allowing for changes in style and / or size between the bottom and top. For example, patent application WO2022067451 describes a swimsuit in which the bottom and top are joined by zippers with an elastic interface and coupling portion to facilitate fastening. However, while changing the size between the top and bottom remains possible, such a garment does not actually adapt to all body shapes, whether in terms of bust, waist (hip circumference), buttocks, or height. For example, regarding the lower body, a person with narrow hips will obviously not be the same size as a person with wide hips, but two people with similar hip sizes may still require different panty sizes because one will be taller than the other. Furthermore, one may have a curvy bottom while the other has a flat bottom.
[0006] The invention therefore aims to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks by providing a garment, in particular underwear, that can adapt to all the morphologies, both in size and height, that is to say in terms of back circumference (chest circumference), hip circumference, or cup size for each breast, or even inseam length, the garment must also be easy and quick to dress and put on, and offer different styles.
[0007] According to the invention, the garment, in particular the undergarment, comprises a band with the function of a hip or back band (band just below the breasts), and at least one garment piece which is able to be removably attached to the band by means of removable attachment, and is characterized in that the band is an elastic band, and in that the band is of a defined size of undergarment while said at least one garment piece is of at least a defined size of undergarment and is able to be distinct from the size of the undergarment of the band, in particular said at least one garment piece is of at least a defined size of undergarment and is distinct from the size of the undergarment of the band.
[0008] Thus, the garment, particularly the underwear, can be put on easily and quickly thanks to the elastic band, and can adapt to all body shapes thanks to the band's size, its elasticity, and the different sizes of the garment's parts. The garment, particularly the underwear, allows for adjustments as the person gains or loses weight slightly in the waist, buttocks, back, or chest (at the level of each breast). Indeed, the elastic band allows it to adapt to different back or hip sizes within the same size range, and the removable attachment of one or more of the garment pieces allows, in addition to different styles, for changing and adapting to the size of the buttocks (hip size), adapting to the person's stature (specific crotch), or adapting to the size of each breast, or even to use only one cup size (for example, in the case of a mastectomy).
[0009] In the following description, "external" means an element in relation to the external environment, and "internal" means an element in relation directly to the skin of the user.
[0010] In the following description, "back" and "front" refer to the way in which the underwear is worn on an individual, respectively on the back of an individual and on the front of the individual.
[0011] According to one feature, the band and said at least one covering piece respectively comprise parts of mutually cooperating removable fastening means, preferably parts of mutually cooperating snap fasteners as parts of removable fastening means.
[0012] According to a preferred feature, the removable fastening means are snap fasteners. The band (hip or back) may comprise more parts of snap fasteners than the number of complementary snap fastener parts, integrated into said at least one dressing piece.
[0013] According to one feature, the band has a back portion and a front portion, and the removable fastening means for the band are arranged on the front and / or back portion in a single, continuous group over a given length and at regular intervals. The multitude of removable fastening means, such as snap fasteners, along a certain length of the band allows for perfect adaptation to any cup size (and therefore any breast size), which may extend over a greater or lesser length at their base.Furthermore, regarding breast size, two garments with two different cup sizes can be provided, for example, an E cup for one breast and an A cup for the other, asymmetrical breast, which may have undergone a mastectomy without breast reconstruction. Therefore, the grouping and continuous line of removable fasteners will ensure the attachment of cups of different sizes and thus different base lengths. It may even be possible to attach only one cup if there is only one breast to cover and support. For panties, this continuous configuration of multiple removable fasteners, such as snaps, will allow for adaptation to different styles, for example, a garment for classic full-coverage panties, a thong, or a G-string.
[0014] According to one feature, the band, particularly for a hip band, is closed upon itself (the band has a closed contour). The band is flat when not in use and conforms to the shape of the person's waist when worn (wearing position). The term "band" refers to a piece whose sole function is to fasten around the hips or back and to support a garment with a covering function; the band has no covering function (i.e., it does not have a function of concealing or possibly supporting a part of the body, such as concealing the buttocks, the pubic area, or concealing and supporting each breast). In particular, the hip band does not have the function of covering part or all of the buttocks, nor of covering the lower abdomen.
[0015] In particular, the band has a width of (approximately) 5 cm.
[0016] According to one characteristic, the band is elastic in length.
[0017] According to one feature, the strip has an inner face and said at least A garment garment has an outer face, and the removable fastening means include a fastening portion arranged on the inner face of the band and a fastening portion arranged on the outer face of said garment, at least one garment garment. In particular, for underwear constituting panties, the band functioning as a hip band has an inner face that includes a portion of the removable fastening means, and the garment garment has an outer face and includes on its outer face, at the front and back, the other part of the removable fastening means, said other part of the removable fastening means being capable of cooperating mutually with the part of the removable fastening means of the hip band. In particular, for an undergarment constituting a bra, the band functioning as a back band has an inner face which includes, on the front, a part of the removable fastening means, and said at least one garment consisting of said at least one cup (and preferably its strap) has an outer face which, at the level of the lower line of the cup, includes another part of the removable fastening means, said other part being capable of cooperating mutually with the part of the removable fastening means of the back band. Thus, the removable fastening means are rendered invisible when looking at the person wearing the underwear, whether it be panties or a bra (at least for the front of the bra at the level of the cups).
[0018] According to one feature, the snap fasteners have female and male parts, the female parts being on the so-called inner face of the band. Thus, when all the snap fasteners are not used (due in particular to the different sizes or styles of the garments), they do not bother the wearer of the underwear, as the female parts are in direct contact with the skin.
[0019] In one embodiment, the undergarment consists of briefs and the band functions as a hip band according to a given clothing size, while the garment has a combination of two sizes: a clothing size, such as 34 / 36, 38 / 40, 40 / 42, 42 / 44, 46 / 48, 50 or larger, and a height size, such as S, M, L, corresponding to a given inseam length. The clothing size of the garment may correspond (or even does correspond) to a different size than the band size. Thus, the removable hip band allows for adaptability of the hip measurement and the clothing size of the garment, taking into account the wearer's height (who does not have the same inseam length). This allows, for example, for adapting to changes in body shape: for instance, if a person has the same shape and volume in their buttocks but has gained weight in their stomach, they can keep the same clothing items but will then buy a larger size for the waistband.
[0020] In the embodiment of a pair of panties, the covering piece is a single piece covering both the stomach or lower stomach and the crotch.
[0021] According to another feature, the garment advantageously offers a combination of two sizes: on the one hand, a clothing size, such as 34 / 36, 38 / 40, 40 / 42, 42 / 44, 46 / 48, 50 or larger, and on the other hand, a height size, such as S, M, L, to correspond to an inseam length. It should be noted that in the The usual correspondence between the letter code for height and an individual's measurements is as follows: S corresponds to a short stature (less than 1.60 m), M to an average stature (between 1.60 m and 1.70 m), and L to a tall stature (more than 1.70 m). The invention thus proposes that clothing take into account not only the person's build but also their inseam length. For example, a tall person with an L inseam may have a curvy bottom, which corresponds to a given clothing size, such as 42 / 44, or a flat bottom, which corresponds more closely to a size 38 / 40. In another example, two women of different heights may make the same size 36 / 38 for the garment, but one will need a size S inseam while the other will need a size L inseam.
[0022] Advantageously, the undergarment may include, for one or more bands of the same size, a kit of dressing pieces of different styles, in particular for a panty, the kit includes at least one dressing piece in the shape of a thong and / or one dressing piece in the shape of a string and / or one dressing piece in the shape of a wrap-around panty and / or one dressing piece having in addition an absorbent function for body fluids.
[0023] According to a feature for the pant, the hip band comprises two opposite groups (front and rear) of first parts of removable fastening means (on the same face of the band, at the rear and on the front) and the dressing piece comprises second parts of removable fastening means, which are arranged at two opposite (high) ends of the dressing piece to cooperate with the two respective groups of first parts of removable fastening means of the hip band, the number of second parts of removable fastening means of the dressing piece being able to be less than the associated group of first parts of removable fastening means of the band.Preferably, removable fastening methods are snap fasteners with the female parts on the hip band; this has the particular advantage that when not all the snap fasteners are used on the hip band compared to those on the garment, it does not bother the user because the snap fastener parts (therefore female) are integrated into the inner face of the hip band, the face in contact with the skin.
[0024] In another embodiment, the undergarment consists of a bra and includes a back band and one or two cover pieces, each cover piece forming a unit comprising a cup and a strap, the two cups possibly being of different sizes. Preferably, the cup and strap of a unit are fixed; the cup-strap unit forms a more discreet cover piece than a cup alone. The undergarment may even have only one cup if there is only one breast left, the side without a cup will not be unsightly or bothersome because the bra will be strapless on the side without a breast because the bra strap is attached to the cup and the cup can be removed from the back of the bra by removing the strap.
[0025] Advantageously, for the bra, the back band has a front portion (designed to correspond substantially to the width of an individual's torso) which comprises a single group of removable fastening means, the removable fastening means being continuous from one end to the other of the length of the front portion and at regular intervals. Thus, it is possible to arrange each cup as desired along the torso length and according to the desired spacing between cups.
[0026] The invention also relates to a garment, in particular a swimsuit, comprising the aforementioned panties of the invention and the aforementioned bra of the invention.
[0027] Advantageously, the aforementioned undergarment or garment of the invention is used by an individual by adapting the waistband size and the size of said garment to the individual's body shape in the areas of the body on which the undergarment or garment is worn. This adaptation allows for adjustments to hip and back measurements, height, and the curvaceous or flatter shapes of the buttocks or breasts, particularly over time, during certain periods when the body changes.
[0028] The invention also relates to a method of supplying a user with the aforementioned undergarment of the invention, the method being characterized in that the user selects, on the one hand, a garment size for the hip band or the back band, and on the other hand, a garment size for said at least one garment. In particular, the invention relates to a method of supplying a user with the aforementioned briefs of the invention, the method being characterized in that the user selects, on the one hand, a garment size for the hip band, and on the other hand, a garment size and a crotch size for said at least one garment.
[0029] Finally, the invention relates to a method of manufacturing and supplying the aforementioned undergarment of the invention, of the panty type, characterized in that from the supply of a single hip measurement of a given waist, several sizes of clothing pieces are supplied, each size having the specific combination of a garment size and an inseam size.
[0030] The present invention is now described by means of purely illustrative and in no way limiting examples of the scope of the invention, and from the accompanying illustrations, in which: - [Fig.l] represents a schematic perspective and front view of an example of an embodiment of underwear according to the invention forming a pair of panties. - [Fig.2] is a schematic view of the panties of [Fig.1] with its two detached removable parts. - [Fig.3] illustrates a schematic view of a variant of the panty dressing piece in figures 1 and 2. - [Fig.4] shows side by side two hip bands of a pair of panties of different sizes and a dressing piece of a given size which can be coupled to each of the bands, the dressing piece being shown partially disassembled to show the snap fasteners which, once the panties are assembled, are actually invisible externally when the person is wearing the panties. - [Fig.5] shows side by side two panty trim pieces, respectively of different garment sizes, each of the trim pieces can be assembled to the same hip band of given size. - [[Fig.6]] represents a schematic perspective view of an example embodiment according to the invention of an undergarment forming a bra. - [[Fig.7]] is a schematic view of the bra from [Fig.6] with its two removable cover pieces (cup-strap assemblies) which are uncoupled.
[0031] The figures are not to scale. The dotted lines drawn on the figures correspond to elements that are not visible when viewing the undergarment from the front.
[0032] The garment according to the invention illustrated in Figures 1 and 6 is an undergarment 1 forming a panty IA for [Fig. 1], and an undergarment forming a bra IB for [Fig. 6]. The explanations given below can be applied to a two-piece swimsuit-type garment comprising the structure of [Fig. 1] for the bottom and the structure of [Fig. 6] for the top.
[0033] Common to the panties IA and the bra IB, the garment 1, in particular the undergarment, comprises an elastic band 10 which is circular in the worn position, at least one cover piece 2, 3A, 3B or 4, removable fastening means 5 which are arranged, on the one hand, on the band 10, and on the other hand, on the cover piece 2, 3A, 3B or 4 to removably fix said at least one cover piece to the band 10, and possibly additional removable fastening means referenced 32 and 33 as seen later for the bra.
[0034] Depending on the type of underwear, band 10 corresponds to a hip band 10A for the briefs, and to a back band (or chest band) 10B for the bra. As will be described later, the briefs IA comprise a single garment piece 2 (Figures 1 and 2) or 4 ([Fig. 3]); the bra IB ([Fig. 6] and [Fig. 7]) includes two independent dressing pieces 3A and 3B, each designed to cover one breast.
[0035] Band 10 is flexible. Band 10 is elastic, which facilitates its donning (when it has a closed contour) and positioning. The elasticity of band 10 also allows it to adapt as closely as possible to the circumference of the person within a predefined range of clothing sizes.
[0036] The band 10 (hip band 10A as back band 10B) has an inner face 11 intended to be in contact with the skin and an opposing outer face 12. The band 10 is flat.
[0037] The 10A hip band for the panties has a closed contour (without an opening). It forms a single piece with a closed contour.
[0038] The back band 10B for the bra can have a closed contour. Preferably, the back band 10B has a contour that can be opened; the back band 10B has two free ends 13 and 13' ([Fig. 7]) that can be removably fastened to each other to close the bra. The free ends 13 and 13' are, for example, connected by a fastening system 14 of the bra clasp or magnetic type.
[0039] The band 10 is preferably about 5 cm wide. The length of the band 10 is adapted to the desired garment size, i.e. the band 10 has a length T1 or T2, etc., corresponding to a given garment size, such as 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 48, 50, etc.
[0040] The IA panty comprises a single garment piece 2 or 4, which corresponds to the garment covering the stomach or lower abdomen and the crotch. The garment piece 2 or 4 of the panty forms a front section 20, a back section 21, and a gusset 22, the whole being a single piece. The garment piece 2 or 4 of the panty can take different shapes, such as a shape Fl for tanga panties in Figures 1 and 2, and a shape F2 for a G-string in [Fig. 3]. Other shapes of garment pieces for panties can be designed, even with an absorbent function for bodily fluids (such as for menstrual flow).
[0041] Thus, the removable panty cover piece 2 or 4 allows for a change of style while keeping the same hip band 10A for the support of the panty IA.
[0042] In addition, the garment advantageously presents a combination of two sizes, on the one hand a clothing size such as 34 / 36, 38 / 40, 40 / 42, 42 / 44, 46 / 48, 50, 52, etc., and on the other hand a height size to adapt to different inseam lengths, such as S, M and L.
[0043] Thus, the removability of the panty cover 2 or 4 in relation to the hip band 10A allows adaptation to the user's morphology with regard to their pelvic size to correspond to a given hip band, and to considering the combination of her clothing size (particularly related to the volume of her buttocks) and her inseam (related to her height) for a given size of garment. It is thus possible to independently choose the hip band 10A from garment 2 or 4; an appropriate size will be chosen in relation to the hip measurement for the hip band 10A, and a suitable size in relation to the inseam length and width of garment 2, as well as an appropriate shape for said garment 2 or 4. As illustrated in [Fig. 4], the same garment 2 of a given combination of clothing size and inseam length, for example 40 / 42 M, can be adapted to two different sizes, for example sizes 38 and 42, of hip bands 10A which each have a different length T1 and T2. As illustrated in [Fig.[5] For the same hip band size 10A, for example 38 with a length T1, the same garment shape 2 of panties will be available in at least two different sizes relative to the inseam length, in particular with at least two different inseam lengths L1 and L2 corresponding to two different heights such as S and L, and possibly even with front 20' and back 21' sections also adapted in width. The wearer can thus have their panties made to their size, in terms of hip measurement, inseam and garment width, as well as style.
[0044] The removable attachment of the cover piece 2 or 4 to the hip band 10A is achieved using removable attachment means 5, which comprise a portion 50 attached to the inner face 11 of the hip band 10A and a portion 51 attached to the outer face of the cover piece 2 or 4. The removable attachment means 5 thus comprise two opposing portions 50 and 51 that are compatible and mutually compatible. The two opposing portions 50 and 51 are respectively arranged on the hip band 10A, in particular on the inner face 11 of the hip band 10A, and on the cover piece 2 or 4, in particular on the outer face 2' of the cover piece. Preferably, the removable attachment means 5 are snap fasteners comprising female and male parts.Preferably, the female parts of the snap fasteners correspond to the parts 50 attached to the hip band 10A, and the male parts of the snap fasteners correspond to the parts 51 attached to the garment piece 2 or 4. Alternatively, other means of removable fastening may be considered, such as hook and loop fasteners of the Velcro® type. However, snap fasteners are preferred because they are discreet and durable (particularly after numerous washes).
[0045] The removable fastening means 5, in particular the female parts 50 of the snap fasteners, are preferably arranged only on two opposing attachment portions 11A and 11IB of the inner face 11 of the hip band 10A (Figures 2); these two opposing attachment portions 11IA and 11IB correspond respectively to the part rear and front part of the breeches IA. Preferably, the removable fastening means 5 are therefore not arranged around the entire periphery of the hip band 10A. Said two opposing rear fastening portions 11A and front 11B cooperate with the free ends 20' and 21', respectively, of the front part 20 and the rear part 21 of the garment piece 2 or 4.
[0046] Advantageously, the female parts 50 of the snap fasteners are grouped on each of the two opposite rear 1 IA and front 1 IB fastening portions of the panty waistband 10A. Each group 11 A, 11 B has the female parts 50 of the snap fasteners, which are aligned and regularly spaced. Each group 11 A, 1 IB of the female parts 50 of the snap fasteners on the panty waistband 10A consists of at least five, preferably at least ten, so as to accommodate an equal or smaller number of male parts 51 of the snap fasteners arranged on the panty garment 2 or 4. As can be seen in Figures 2 and 3, depending on the shape and / or size of the garment 2 or 4, the number of snap fasteners may vary from one garment to another. For the Fl shape of the panties of the [Fig.[2], the number of male parts 51 on the back part 21' is greater than the number on the back part 21' of shape F2 of [Fig.3]; on the other hand, for the same size of hip band 10A, the number of female parts 50 of snap fasteners will be sufficient to cooperate with both shape F2 of panty garment 4 and with shape Fl of panty garment 2.
[0047] The bra IB illustrated in Figures 6 and 7 comprises the back band 10B and the two cover pieces. The two cover pieces 3A and 3B are independent of each other. The two cover pieces 3A and 3B are each removable from the back band 10B. Preferably, each cover piece 3A, 3B includes a cup forming a covering portion for one breast and a strap 30. The two cover pieces 3A and 33 may be different sizes with respect to their cups.
[0048] Each cup has an outer face 3' and an inner face 3". Each cup of the garment pieces 3A, 3B extends from its lower line 30' to the strap 30. The strap 30 has a portion 31 that is fixed (preferably permanently) to the upper end of the cup; the strap 30 is, in particular, sewn to the upper end of the cup. The strap 30 has, opposite the cup, a free end 32 for removably attaching to the back band 10B, more particularly to the rear part of the back band 10B. Preferably, this free end 32 has an S-shaped clasp for removably cooperating with a complementaryly shaped fastener or clasp 33, which is fixed to a portion 34 of the back band 10B. Each The cover piece 3A, 3B is removably attached via the lower edge 30' of a cup and the free (and lower) end 32 of the strap 30 opposite the cup.
[0049] The cover pieces 3A and 3B are removably attached to the back band 10B. Preferably, the attachment of the cover pieces 3A and 3B is achieved differently on the front and back of the bra. On the front and at the lower edge 30' of each cup of the cover piece 3A, 3B, the removable attachment is achieved by means of removable fasteners 5, such as snap fasteners as described for the panties. On the back, the removable attachment is achieved at the lower edge 32 of the strap 30, which is equipped with a clasp, and by means of a complementary removable fastener consisting of a mutually cooperating clasp 33.
[0050] The snap fasteners 5 for bra IB comprise female parts 50 that are attached to the back band 10B, at the front of the back band and preferably on the inner surface 11 of the back band, and male parts 51 that are attached to the outer surface 3' of cups 3A and 3B (at the lower line 30'). The female parts 50 of the snap fasteners 5 of the back band 10B are aligned and evenly spaced in a single group. This single group of female parts 50 of the snap fasteners of the back band 10B is such that said female parts 50 are spaced at a regular interval without discontinuity from one end of the group to the other. Thus, the user can systematically and easily attach each of the 3A and 3B cups regardless of the width of each cup and regardless of the position of one cup relative to the other, i.e., according to a greater or lesser proximity between the two 3A and 3B cups. Preferably, the group of female parts 50 of the snap fasteners 5 extends over half of the back band (half intended to be positioned at the front for the user).
[0051] Opposite the group of removable fastening means 5, on the rear face of the back band, are arranged the two fasteners 33 spaced at an identical distance from each of the ends 13 and 13' of the back band, and arranged to correspond to the right of the straps 30.
[0052] Advantageously, the portion 34 of the back band 10B, which includes the fastener 33, is made of a strip that may be identical to a portion of the shoulder strap, and which is sewn onto the inner face 11 of the back band 10B and protrudes beyond the edge of the back band. The fastener 33 is attached to the protruding end. These strips 34 allow for a better distribution of tensile stresses on the shoulder straps and for the removable shoulder strap attachment to be positioned beyond the band 10B for the user's comfort.
[0053] Each of the straps 30 may include, at a distance from the clip 32, a strap length adjustment system (not illustrated), of the "figure-eight attachment" type.
