AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Commemorative objects, particularly semi-precious stones, are vulnerable to high temperatures during cremation, which can cause them to weaken, alter, or be destroyed.

Method used

A high-temperature protective envelope made from a refractory material mixture, including chamotte, molten cement, ivory black pigment, and water, is used to encase commemorative objects. This envelope is designed to withstand high temperatures and facilitate the release of the object after cremation by weakening at a specific fracture line.

Benefits of technology

The protective envelope effectively preserves the physical and aesthetic integrity of commemorative objects during cremation, protecting them from high temperatures, flames, and thermal shocks, and allows for the safe retrieval of the object post-cremation.

Description

Title of the invention: High temperature protective envelope for commemorative object undergoing cremation. Technical field

[0001] The invention relates to the field of commemorative objects intended to withstand high temperatures during cremation. Technical problem

[0002] Any object undergoing cremation is exposed to very high temperatures (minimum 800°C). These temperatures inevitably alter materials, particularly semi-precious stones, which can weaken them, alter them or even destroy them. Brief description of the invention

[0003] The present invention relates to a high-temperature protective envelope containing an individual commemorative object (such as semi-precious stones) intended to accompany the cremation of an individual. The commemorative object is placed within a protective envelope [Fig.l], and is recovered after opening the envelope at the end of the cremation. This allows the physical and aesthetic integrity of the object to be preserved despite the high temperatures of cremation. Presentation of the invention

[0004] The protective envelope encloses each commemorative object during manufacture [Fig.l]. The protective envelope is placed inside or on the coffin (or any container in which the individual is placed) before cremation. After cremation, the protective envelope is given to the family. The protective envelope can be opened by the family, allowing the release of the commemorative object which will have retained its physical and aesthetic integrity. The release of the commemorative object is facilitated by the weakening of the fracture line in the center of the protective envelope following cremation. Advantages of the invention

[0005] The present invention provides protection to commemorative objects such as semi-precious stones against high temperatures, flames and thermal shocks. Description of the manufacturing method

[0006] The protective casing is manufactured by making a composition of a mixture of refractory materials specifically developed and then poured into a mold. Pouring the mixture in two stages allows the commemorative object to be positioned in the center of the mixture. As it dries, the mixture hardens and forms the protective casing that will undergo cremation. Drying times must be respected to ensure a sufficient curing of the protective casing: 24 hours minimum in molds and 15 days minimum out of molds, these two stages being carried out in the open air at room temperature. Special expertise is required to carry out the specific mixture as well as for pouring the material into the molds. The manufacturing process is designed to allow industrialization for adequate production in response to demand. The mold allows a particular shape to be respected [Fig. 1]. The shape of the protective casing can represent a heart or any other shape allowing to respect a thickness necessary to protect the commemorative object from high temperatures, flames and thermal shocks and to facilitate the rupture of the casing after cremation thanks to the less thick rupture or fragility line of the casing. Composition of the refractory material mixture

[0007] - 3 / 6 of the volume of chamotte, grain size 0 to 2 mm - 1 / 6 of the volume of molten cement - 1 / 6 volume of ivory black pigment - 1 / 6 of water volume

Claims

Claims

1. Set composed of a commemorative object and its high-temperature protective envelope allowing the physical and aesthetic integrity of said commemorative object to be maintained during cremation, said protective envelope being characterized by: - A composition of refractory materials comprising: - 3 / 6 of the volume of chamotte with a grain size of 0 to 2 mm, - 1 / 6 of the volume of molten cement, - 1 / 6 of the volume of black ivory pigment, - 1 / 6 of the volume of water, - A shape allowing an opening facilitated by a rupture line in the center of the latter weakened, by its lesser thickness, and by the cremation process.

2. Method of manufacturing the protective envelope according to claim 1, comprising the steps of: • Preparation of a mixture composed of refractory materials, • Pouring the mixture in two stages to position the commemorative object in the center of the mixture, • Drying the mixture in the mold then outside the mold to ensure sufficient hardening, namely 24 hours minimum in the molds and 15 days minimum outside the molds, drying in the open air at room temperature.

3. Set according to claim 1 characterized in that the commemorative object is a semi-precious stone.
