Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Rotary, opening and closing device. Technical field
[0001] The present invention relates to a rotary opening and closing device intended to be mounted, by fixing and holding means, mainly on packaging. State of the prior art
[0002] There are rotary opening and closing systems whose installation requires restrictive means of implementation or which are not suitable for all supports or which are made of non-ecological materials such as 'turnstile' clasps, locks or latches made of plastic or metal. Purpose of the invention - statement
[0003] In view of the above, the aim which the invention seeks to achieve is to provide a device which overcomes the drawbacks mentioned above, combines functionality and aesthetics whilst offering great ease and comfort of use.
[0004] One of the aims of the invention is to produce this device with recyclable materials of plant origin, such as paper and cardboard.
[0005] Another object of the invention is to industrially produce this customizable device in all kinds of shapes and dimensions with simple tools, such as die-cutting molds, however, the invention is not departed from when the device is manufactured by other means.
[0006] Another object of the invention is to provide a lightweight device that is suitable for rigid or folding structures. By folding, we mean structures, such as packaging, that can be transported and stored flat while being easily deployable.
[0007] Such a closing device makes it possible, thanks to a rotary movement, to bring together and lock together several panels, joined or superimposed, such as a hinged door or a flap cover. Method of implementation
[0008] This device comprises among other things: A disc, an angular-shaped housing and 2 free-form main plates.
[0009] The term "disc" refers to the cylindrical element at the heart of the device, the rotation of which drives the other parts around its axis. The disc has an angular opening intended to accommodate the housing. The axis of rotation (A) of the device is located in the center of the disc. The disc, held in a vice by the plates, located on each side, is constrained to a single rotary movement.
[0010] The term "housing" refers to the angular-shaped element, terminated at two opposite ends by several fixing lugs. The housing passes in a row through the first plate, the disc, then the second plate and unites the crossed elements as well as itself into a solid block. The block is firmly held by means of the fixing lugs folded over the outside of the last plates crossed.
[0011] The 2 main plates, free-form, are provided with an angular opening corresponding to the dimensions of the housing. These plates are arranged on each side of the 1st panel on which the device is mounted.
[0012] The first two plates essential to the device are referred to as main plates.
[0013] At least one of the main plates is blocking.
[0014] A locking plate is a plate whose length is greater than its width. The main function of this plate is to use its shape and length to overlap, connect and hold together 2 panels of the same structure. According to one embodiment, the locking plate also contributes, if there is no intermediate plate or additional seal, to holding the disc in its cavity. For this purpose, its length is greater than that of the disc. The locking plate held by the fixing lugs of the housing finally contributes, if there is no intermediate plate or additional seal, to tightening the device.
[0015] According to a current embodiment, the device comprises a single main blocking plate, however, the invention is not departed from when, according to another production method, the device comprises 2 main blocking plates.
[0016] A non-locking main plate is a simple main plate of which at least one width is greater than that of the disc. Its function is, in the absence of an additional intermediate plate or seal, to hold the disc in its compartment and to clamp the device on the support panel.
[0017] This device operates in association with at least 2 panels external to the device.
[0018] The first panel or support panel refers to the panel on which the device is mounted.
[0019] This first panel has a cylindrical opening. This opening constitutes a compartment intended to accommodate the disc. The rotation of the disc takes place inside this compartment.
[0020] The 2nd panel intended to be joined with the first when the device is in the closed position, is joined or else superimposed.
[0021] A joined panel is a hinged panel whose wall is edge to edge with that of the first panel when the structure is closed.
[0022] When the 2nd panel is superimposed or covering, it is provided with an opening designed for the passage of a blocking plate. The dimensions of this opening are therefore at least equal to those of this blocking plate and one of its sides is less than the length of the blocking plate. [Fig. 12] and [Fig. 13].
[0023] The device is fixed on a support panel by means of the rotating disc.
[0024] The support panel is provided with a cylindrical cavity whose dimensions match those of the disc.
[0025] The disc thus housed in the cavity of the panel is itself pierced with an angular-shaped cavity.
[0026] This cavity is crossed by a housing whose shape and dimensions in turn match those of the angular cavity. The housing is therefore fixed to the disc and carried with it in its rotary movement.
[0027] The housing passes through not only the disc but also the main plates located on either side of the disc on the support panel.
[0028] Equipped with fixing lugs (la-àlf) at each end, the box (1) connects and secures the crossed elements into a block. The fixing lugs are glued to the external face of the last crossed plates.
[0029] However, the invention does not depart from the invention when the legs are fixed to the last plates crossed by other means.
[0030] According to one embodiment, the housing can also pass through and connect other plates or joints.
[0031] According to one embodiment, the amplitude of rotation of the device is deliberately limited. In this case, the shape of the disc is truncated (3) and the compartment (8) in which the disc moves, i.e. the cavity of the support panel, is equipped with a stopper.
[0032] This forms a closed space at both ends which reduces the rotation of the disc to a determined amplitude. The disc carries the entire device with it, so the movement of the plates is also reduced. Limited rotation facilitates the closing and opening movements of the device.
[0033] According to an embodiment comprising a single blocking plate, the latter can be fixed on the front face of the support panel or on the rear face.
[0034] The closing device is activated by manually triggering the rotation of the plate located on the front face, whether it is a blocking plate or a simple plate.
[0035] According to one embodiment, the rotating device is mounted on a fixed or movable panel.
[0036] According to one embodiment, the device is provided with additional accessories such as, among others, plates or seals.
[0037] According to one embodiment, the additional elements are passed through and connected to the device by the housing or are fixed to the last accessible plate by gluing.
[0038] According to one embodiment, the device is provided with additional accessories such as, among other things, a consolidation or holding wedge intended to reinforce the interior of the housing.
[0039] According to one embodiment, the device is provided with complementary accessories such as, among other things, one or more thickness compensation plates (5).
[0040] A compensation plate is a plate whose opening is cut out to reserve the fixing lugs (1a to 1f) in order to compensate for its thickness and to provide the last visible plate with a flat surface without any excess thickness.
[0041] According to one embodiment, the device is provided with complementary accessories such as a covering or decorative part (6).
[0042] According to another embodiment, a single device makes it possible to open and close several panels of the same structure, simultaneously. In this case the length of the housing as well as the thickness of the blocking plate are increased in proportion to the thickness of the additional elements.
[0043] Thus, an opening and closing device is provided which has the advantage of being suitable for a plurality of supports and packaging.
[0044] Other advantages, characteristics of the invention will appear on reading the following description, given solely by way of non-limiting example and made with reference to the attached schematic drawings.
[0045] Furthermore, although the device is particularly suitable for packaging, the scope of the invention does not go beyond the scope of the invention when the device is used in another field. Presentation of the figures
